How did the microchip innovate technology?
Did the first microchip have any flaws?
â The first microchip was invented by Jack
Kilby. The microchip innovated
technology by helping the technology
from the 1950s get away from clunky,
bulk, and unreliable technology. A lot of
advancements of technology were
achieved thanks to Kilbyâs invention.
â Although it was a great invention, it still
had its flaws. One flaw that the chip have
was that it was made of Germanium.
Germanium can be dangerous to the
body if inhaled, and itâs extremely
flammable and explosive when mixed with
air. A year later a silicon version of the
chip was made by Robert Noyce, fixing
some of the flaws the first chip had.

contribute to our problem with global warming.
â Solar cells are a good option to use when we
think of energy source in the future.
â Solar cells can be used in building to help heat,
cool, and light up the building.
â Buildings also have solar collectors that capture
sunlight and store the energy so that it can be
used later on.
