Advantages Of An Intelative Life Cycle Model
ITERATIVE MODEL
An iterative life cycle model does not endeavor to begin with a full particular of necessities. Rather,
advancement starts by determining and executing simply part of the product, which can then be
checked on so as to recognize further prerequisites. This procedure is then rehashed, delivering
another variant of the product for every cycle of the model. (Rastogi, 2015) General Overview of
Iterative Model Table 3 Diagram of Iterative model Source (Batory, Singhal, Dasari, Geraci, Sirkin,

Advantages and Disadvantages of a Spiral model and when to use this model
As stated above using the diagram, it can be stated according to (Boehm, 2000), there exist some
advantages and disadvantages of Spiral models and below will illustrate some of the advantages and
disadvantages of Spiral Model.
Advantages of Spiral model
High amount of risk analysis hence, avoidance of Risk is enhanced.
Good for large and mission critical projects.
Strong approval and documentation control.
Additional Functionality can be added at a later date.
Software is produced early in the software life cycle.
Disadvantages of Spiral model
Can be a costly model to use.
Risk analysis requires highly specific expertise.
Project s success is highly dependent on the risk analysis phase.
Doesn t work well for smaller projects. When to use Spiral model

America s Culinary Heritage Of American Cuisine Essay
With a mission of celebrating, preserving, and nurturing America s culinary heritage, for one of just a
handful of times, the James Beard Foundation opened the kitchen and dining rooms of the Beard
House in New York City to the Mississippi Delta. Maybe not the first, but definitely the first of its
kind, an all star cast of Delta chefs and beverage masters presented our story, their passion and their
perfectly prepared menu to a packed house of predominantly New York locals.
The Beard House is considered a performance space for chefs, distillers, wine makers, brewers and
chocolatiers. Its mission is to celebrate the unique regions of American cuisine. And we were thrilled
to host this talented and diverse group of chefs and participants to showcase the flavors of the
Mississippi Delta, says Izabela Wojcik, Director of House Programming for the James Beard
Foundation.
Presenting a dinner coined The Taste of the Delta, this team graciously accepted the invitation and
joined the ranks of some of the world s best chefs and beverage masters invited to cook and entertain
at the Beard House.
Boarding his flight due south, Chef Cole Ellis of Delta Meat Market recaps It is by all means an honor
and we definitely showed them a good time.
Hand selected and assembled by Chef Phillip Ashley Rix of Phillip Ashley Chocolates in Memphis,
the team collaborated to plan and prepare a menu best sharing a glimpse of home, homage, and
culinary history. The cast of chefs consisted

Fire Service Mentality
Intro For many years, the fire service has been behind the times in scientific advancements in regards
to fire tactics, fire behavior, and fire equipment. Through the investigation and experiments of the
National Institute of Standards and Technology over the last few years, the fire service has seen
enormous strides in research that has changed the mentality of the fire service for the better in my
opinion. This paper will cover a little background of the National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST), along with how NIST has changed the fire service for the better, and is NIST
good for the fire service as a whole. NIST a Back Ground The need for a Federal Bureau of standards
was talked about for almost 20 years before legislation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the biggest advancement in the last few years through the help and research of NIST has been
that of flow paths and fire. NIST has been able to show the fire service that when there is a fire and
say a window is knocked out or a door open and not controlled that the flow of natural ventilation
would help the fire grow. This growth then fueled the fire to a point that would catch firefighters off
guard maybe even kill them. Such fires as the one in Chicago that killed a fire captain that died from
the injuries that he sustained while advancing a hose line into a two story, single family structure
(Weinschenk, Overholt, Madrzykowski, 2014). Since NIST determined this to be a real threat to
firefighters, departments have been taking genuine efforts to control the flow of air to the best of their
ability at structure fires. I think that this new tactic of air control has been a real game changer for fire
departments all around the

An island located in the Pacific about 700 miles southwest of Acapulco. Clipperton is a circular coral
atoll of 2 square miles, completely with a lagoon. Temperatures are tropical and the vegetation

Soviet Imperialism And The Soviet Union
The United States and the Soviet Union operated as associates and fought against the Nazi regime
during World War II, however, the merger did not last long and ultimately became the Cold War.
Americans had for some time been careful about Soviet socialism and worried about Russian pioneer
Joseph Stalin s overbearing, ruthless guideline of his own nation. As far as concerns them, the Soviets
loathed the Americans decades long refusal to regard the USSR as a real part of the universal group
and also their postponed section into World War II, which brought about the passing of a huge number
of Russians. After the war ended, these grievances aged into a staggering feeling of shared doubt and
animosity. After the war, Soviet expansionism in Eastern Europe drove numerous Americans fears of a
Russian arrangement to control the world. In the meantime, the USSR came to disdain what they saw
as American authorities pugnacious talk, arms development and the interventionist way to deal with
global relations. In such an unfriendly air, no single gathering was total to fault for the Cold War; truth
be told, a few history specialists trust it was unavoidable (History.com, 2009)
When the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, president George H. W. Bush through his secretary of state
James Baker promised Soviet premier Mikhail Gorbachev that in exchange for Soviet cooperation on
German reunification, the Cold War era NATO union would not increase one inch . Baker stated,

The computer was first brought into existence in the late...
The computer was first brought into existence in the late 1930 s using vacuum tubes to create the
sounds that are found in motion pictures today and since then; there has been a non stop growth in the
advancement of our technology and society. Growth can sometimes flourish so fast that it can be hard
to keep track of especially in the areas that it may be easily overlooked until it comes to be necessary,
such as the ethics. This new type of technological development brings ethical concerns upon us, just
how it brought a cultural awakening upon society. For every technological glass ceiling we have
broken through comes an endless cascading effect of technical development in any of the other areas.
When scientists first discovered the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And what are the ethics that go with computer use in our society today? There are many inquiries that
arise when looking at the relationship that exists between computers and ethics. But before we can
look at the role computers have with ethics, we first need to understand why it is extremely significant
to acknowledge this connection, along with the possible effects that may come about it if this
relationship is ignored or forgotten. Let s take a look at a unique instance which involves computers
and their association with ethics and social media, something almost everyone is a part of today. This
case revolves around a recent phone app, called Tinder, which has become popular for both males and
females in college campuses. The app allows males and females to log on through their Facebook
accounts, which allows for them to share their pictures, age, and mutual friends with others around
them. Then once one is registered on the app, a picture of the other sex pops up and they either swipe
away or like it, in which it then matches them up with that other person. So essentially this app is
dating app for young college students, where males and females have the potential to stalk and talk to
others of the opposite sex that live a certain radius from them, and maybe possibly actually meet and
date (very unlikely). Tinder is very similar to other dating apps, however it makes it a lot less
complicated for college students so that they are easily able

North Germany And The Punk Rock Movement
East Germany and the Punk Rock Movement That Paralyzed It
The punk rock movement, which started in the early 1970s in England and America, expanded
through Germany. At the end of WWII and the beginning of the postwar years different economic,
social, and political ideals led to the division of Germany. Two very distinct Germanys emerged
causing West Germany to join the Western Allies and East Germany to integrate into the socialist
camp (Hoffmeister, Tubach 124). East Germany paid close attention to westernized music; specifically
punk rock since these types of music did not comply with socialist ideals (Hurley 160). By the end of
the 1970s and beginning of the 1980s, an underground punk scene sprang up in East Germany (Hurley
163). Some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The conditions in East Germany during the 1970s 1980s were that of total institutions culminating an
environment of transition. East Germany found itself transitioning from one political, economic, and
social system to a governmental system that operated in the form of a total institution .The concept of
total institution developed by sociologist Erving Goffman describes institutions that have complete
control over people s lives and usually have them enclosed or isolated from the outside world
(Mouzelis 9). These institutions can be prisons or mental institutions, in this case, I claim the East
German government was a total institution since it had complete control over its citizens under an
enclosed environment. The German Democratic Republic (GDR) controlled East Germany. The Soviet
Union controlled the GDR through the Socialist Unity Party (SED) (Hoffmeister, Tubach 123). The
GDR and the SED were governmental institutions that oppress the people of Germany and had many
regulations against its citizens. The SED was a Marxist Leninist party, and even though the GDR
stands for the German Democratic Republic, it was only Democratic in the name because other then
that it was totalitarian.
Out of the shackles of an oppressing environment came an emerging voice known as the punk rock
scene. Punk music has an identity of its own

Lynch Syndrome
Lynch syndrome, previously known as hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) is a
parental inherited condition that exposes a person to the risks of cancers, but most commonly colon
cancer1 9. It is a heterozygous autosomal dominant genetic condition, which means that if only one
parent carries the gene for Lynch syndrome (LS), then a 50 percent chance of passing on the mutation
will be passed to each child1 9. LS is limited to families with a known pathogenic germline mutation2.
A germline mutation is when mutations occur in the germ line, which is a group of cells that
contribute to the improvement of gametes2,3,10. To find out how individuals are to contract this
disease, the family medical history must be taken into account. Early ... Show more content on

The first role is that there is a predisposition to cancer development, meaning that a mutation in Mlh1
or Msh2 provide alternate causes for LS2,5. These mutations are distinguished because of the presence
of CpG islands and following transcriptional loss of single genetic alleles of the affected gene, which
results in the comparison of a heterozygous mutation2,10. CpG islands are clusters of the sequence
CG which may be gathered near promoter regions in a gene10. Another role is when the Lynch
associated tumors developed as a result a somatic loss of function of the last normal allele of the
mutated gene2. Somatic loss of function is a genetic change that takes place in a somatic cell, but the
change is not aquired2,10. Finally, the last role is the role of more derived epigenetic changes that may
be gained to assist the growth and advancement of associated Lynch tumors2. The studies of these
roles have shown that tumor suppressor genes occur within Lynch syndrome

Diane Arbus Identical Twins
The photo shown above one of Diane Arbus s most recognizable images Identical Twins taken in 1967

identical sisters together in the same frame, we begin to notice everything that is different between
them. The outfits of both sisters are identical wearing dark corduroy dresses with white collars and
cuff, even their white tights and white headbands, used to give them identical hair styles (Nikolova).

Ethos In Crisis No 1 By Thomas Paine
The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph, imagine hearing that when you need
motivation in what seems like the scariest time of your life. Thomas Paine created this pamphlet,
Common Sense, in January 1776. Some may question the purpose, and that was to motivate
Americans to fight for what they believe in, what they want and what they deserve during the British
conflict. Throughout Crisis No. 1, Thomas Paine uses pathos to persuade the colonist and
revolutionaries to go to war against the British. Paine talks about how the future will improve, and
mentions God many times throughout his pamphlet.
Paine avoided much use of ethos or logos throughout his pamphlet in order to persuade the colonist on
a deeper emotional level. Paine

Petroleum production began in the late 1950 s, and by the early 1970 s it was by far the leading
export. The massive revenues from oil have led to widespread corruption that continues today. Up to a
fifth of the country s oil output, an estimated 400,000 barrels a day, is embezzled from illegally tapped
pipelines. Money has also disappeared; Nigeria s central bank claimed that some $20 billion in oil
revenues had simply vanished.
The economy of Nigeria is historically founded on agriculture, with approximately 70% of the
workforce still engaged in farming. The primary crops are cocoa, peanuts, palm oil, corn, rice,
sorghum, millet, yams, soybeans, cassava.
Key commercial industries in Nigeria include coal, tin, textiles, footwear, fertilizer, printing, ceramics,
steel, and rubber. In addition, livestock farms such as, cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs remain extensive.
In recent years, the telecommunication and film industry have grown to become a major part of
Nigeria s economy (FinIntell, 2014).

I used to always go over to my grandparent s house and watch my grandfather go crazy over this Jazz

Sing Sing the other day from one of my Jazz collections that my grandpa gave to me and realized that
their was so much energy and pizzazz in this music. He explained to me that it was all put together by
a guy named Benny, and I understood why.

In Los Angeles, the band created a sensation, essentially starting the swing era. In fact, Goodman
became known as the King of Swing (Collier, 1989).
Swing was the dominant idiom of the 1930s and much of the 1940s. Basically, it was a form of dance
music played by a large band, and was the medium through which most white Americans first heard
Jazz (Schuller,1989). Although the decade 1935 45 was called the Swing Era, swing arrangements had
been played by large bands beginning in the 1920s. Bandleader arrangers Fletcher Henderson, Duke
Ellington, and, later, Count Basie, worked out arrangements for their 10 to 12 piece bands, which,
unlike traditional jazz bands, were divided into instrumental sections.
The rhythm section (piano, guitar, bass, and drums) maintained a steady, even beat; the saxophone and
brass sections countered each other with harmonized riffs and repeated figures, with section leaders
improvising over this background (Stewart, 1979).
Utilized almost exclusively for dancing, the music of the big bands borrowed heavily from the
techniques introduced by Henderson. Among the most popular bands were those led by Goodman,
Glenn Miller, Woody Herman, the Dorsey brothers, and Artie Shaw. As a counterpart of the highly
arranged orchestrations of these New York based bands, a Kansas City swing style developed under
the influence of Count Basie and Bennie Moten that emphasized a blues

Compare And Contrast Suburban And Homecoming
The quality and importance of life are looked at by most as a valuable and great gift, but this
perception of someone s life is stated differently by the two poets, David Malouf and Bruce Dawe.
The poems Suburban and Homecoming express life through the eyes of two separate groups, one
being a stereotypical individual and the other, a group of men fighting for their own lives. Poetry
offers many hidden meanings within their stories, Suburban and Homecoming are no different
offering two distinct takes on the meaning of life. Whether that be shown through war, or a Sunday
morning after a long night out, both poems convey the emotions of life, both positively and negatively.
Homecoming by Bruce Dawe describes the homecoming of dead Australian Soldiers from the
Vietnamese War, (lines 2 3). The poem has its poet expressing his opinions on man s response to wars
and how vital human life is, the soldier need to be brought home and the brutality and futility of wars
between the human s race. In contrast, Suburban, by David Malouf, expresses to the reader the facade
of modern suburbia, lukewarm residency clouded by public idealism and picket fences. Suburban
suggests similar themes of masked anxieties by apparent political or social orders, which is clearly
expressed through the way Malouf describes modern suburbia; as dull and emotionless. Homecoming
directly contrasts this and describes a chaotic and destructive, this is demonstrated through the entirety
of the poem, poetic

Pros And Cons Of A Flat Tax System
The modern concept of a flat tax was popularized by Stephen Forbes in his 1996 presidential
campaign when he proposed a universal income tax rate of 17 percent. Republicans have been
advocating for a flat tax plan ever since and the latest crop of presidential hopefuls eclipsed by Donald
Trump, proposed similar plans. Ted Cruz was talking about a flat 10 percent while Bush, Huckabee,
Carson, Rubio and Rand Paul all had similar ideas. The 2016 Republican nominee, Donald Trump,
also advocates for a reduction in tax brackets closely resembling a flat tax rate, since he is a reported
billionaire. (Shlaes, 2015) The current tax system employs a progressive tax rate, which means the
percentage of income taxed rises with the amount earned. Currently, earners who made up to $8,375
paid ten percent while those who made more than $373,650 paid the top rate of 35 percent. Under the
progressive tax system, a taxpayer pays a base rate on the first dollar earned and rates rise as earnings
rise so that making more money means moving into a higher tax bracket. In a flat tax system, top
earners pay more in dollars but pay at the same percentage rate. (Shlaes, 2015)
History:
There have been two instances of a flat tax being levied in the United States, both times utilized to
respond to a major crisis. Both times, the flat tax revenue was never actualized. The first time was in
1861 at the onset of the Civil War and the Lincoln Administration s need to finance the war effort.

The Ideal Parent: Brightening a Childs Future Parenting is a big part of every ones lives; it makes up
who you are as a person and in many cases projects who you will be in the future. Some adults have
trouble manipulating their children and teaching them what is right from wrong, while others have a
much easier time doing so. In my opinion there is no such thing as the perfect parent , both the mother
and the father have their flaws, but what matters is that the parent is always there for personal support.

The father is un employed and the mother is making the same amount as her teenage daughter. This
shows a lack of responsibility coming from both parents because at this age the parents should be
concerned about the daughter going to school and both parents should have a job accounted for. The
irresponsibility s of the parents can affect a child from a young age, not only does it complicates the
life of the kid, but the parents do a poor job of teaching a child the values of being responsible. One
parent shows responsibilities for their kids while the other parent shows no remorse for her daughter.
Finally, being a leader and a hard worker not only in your children s lives but also in society is what
makes a huge difference between a great parent and a mediocre parent. Showing a child the values of
leadership and hard work can make a kids future that much better. A parent that holds these two
characteristics and is able to put them to use in society will not only be a great example for their kids,
but a superb example of a great parent. In the poem Those Winter Sundays , Hayden illustrates the
hard work and leadership this father puts in for the family to have a nice comfortable living. Sundays
too my father got up early and put his clothes on in the blueblack cold, then with cracked hands that
ached from labor in the weekday weather made banked fires blaze. No one ever thanked him. (1 5)

Legal Drinking Age Essay
For many of the generations living today, the legal drinking age has always been set at twenty one. In
the 1980 s, it rose from eighteen to twenty one in an attempt to reduce the amount of underage drunk
driving accidents. The number of traffic fatalities has significantly declined over the past few decades.
However, many would argue that the law has spawned many new problems as well, such as an
increase in alcohol poisoning deaths and binge drinking.
As previously stated, the primary reason for adjustment to the legal drinking age was to address the
preposterous number of drunk driving accidents. The United States has experienced a decline in all
age groups over the last 25 years and for that, the law has been a success. Although these statistics are
encouraging, one must also wonder if more has contributed to this decline than the law itself. 1984
was a completely different time period. Since then, airbags have become a mandatory component of
every car, and laws requiring that a seat belt must be worn are enforced in most states, reducing the
impact if one was to ever be involved in a crash. In addition to the features inside of the ... Show more

impossible to know for certain whether the decline in alcohol related traffic fatalities was seen because
of the change in legal age or not until both sides of the argument are tested and proved. However, a
higher legal age has not reduced drinking, but has driven it underground, establishing a new problem
for the country to consider instead. The problems we are facing today are vastly different than those of
1984. After 30 years, it s time to examine the current circumstances and make a decision based on

Punishment Philosophies In The Criminal Justice System
Philosophies is a definitions of punishment and there are five punishment philosophies that used in the

The concept of retribution is generated if someone commit a crime that very bad and people are afraid

A Brief Note On Mount Everest Is 8848 M Height
Mount Everest is 8,848 m height, which considered one of the top highest mountain in the world, it is
located in the Mahalangur section of the Himalayas. Thousands of climbers successfully have made it
to the top. Unfortunately, some people were unable to reach the peak of the mountain and lost their
life. Many researchers have found in their studies about obstacles that the climbers faced before
reaching the summit. One of them is pollution. What are the causes of pollution of Mount Everest, and
what are the solutions to stop these problems? Rubbish and death body are the two things that
contribute to pollution. There are also some possible solution for these problems to prevent pollution
today and for the future. First of all, rubbish is becoming a major problem regarding to pollution that
many experts have concerns of. But behind them, they have left a trail of destruction creating an
average of 50 tons of rubbish, including discarded oxygen canisters, climbing gear and food
packaging, every year. The problem escalated to the point where the fragile ecosystem of the
Himalayas was under threat (Steve Robson). Human waste which is included food packaging,
climbing gear, tents and water bottle that left by climbing tourists every year. There is also hazardous
waste such as oxygen cylinders are known as toxic chemical when it is unused and leave for longer

Brittany, now look, we chose this school because we wanted the flexibility that is conducive to my
already grueling work schedule. LWDN doesn t play when it comes to their employees and you love
this law firm so much that you want to be a lawyer here; that being said, you know that Bethel Online
is a great fit for you because of your schedule. These last two classes were a bit redundant and tedious
so therefore, these last couple of classes kind of wore on your nerves just a bit; even though some of
the information like Smart thinking was very necessary and appreciated. On the bright side, this year
alone, you have had one person leave you, one person doubt you, one who is indecisive (still), you
have had to quit your second weekend job because it interferes with your work schedule, you ve had

The Negative Effects Of Homework
Have you ever been overly stressed or stayed up all night because of homework? Well according to
Dr. Craig Canapari, sleep deprivation and severe stress in students is caused by early school start times
and heavy homework amounts. This not only affects teenagers, but it is also an issue for younger
children. 90% of teenagers are sleep deprived, which can have various consequences pertaining to
their health, safety and overall well being. About 15% of teenage students have over 2 hours of
homework per night, some even having 3, 4 or even 5 HOURS OF HOMEWORK! I recently sent out
a survey to my classmates and I discovered that 36.8% of my classmates were spending an hours to an
hour and a half on homework. I also found out that 31.6% of them were spending 2 hours or more on
their homework, which is more than the recommended amount for children our age. Some may think
this is helpful to their academic career, but it can actually be very detrimental. In fact, students can
stay up doing homework for so long that they become sleep deprived and when you are sleep
deprived, it becomes very challenging to retain information. So really, when students are doing hours
of homework and aren t retaining any information because of sleep deprivation, every single benefit
that a homework assignment may have to offer is lost! Many people believe that homework is helpful,
not harmful, but this is a lie. In fact, there is not much evidence to suggest that homework for students

Berserkers And Selves Summary
It deals with the broad study of historical pagan practices prior to the Christianization of the people. It

It is used in this project for definitive evidence of transformation rituals, which are akin to the

Importance Of Political Society In Modern Society
The American federal framework enables state and local governments to try different things with
various sorts of political establishments, electoral instruments and creative public policies. The
political societies of these legislatures help characterize the legitimate exercises of governments, how
they should work and who ought to partake. The investigation of state and local political culture in the
United States has been ruled by Daniel Elazar s model of the moralistic, individualistic and
traditionalistic subcultures. All the more as of late another political culture has risen in view of
economic and social changes. The investigation of political culture has been generally utilized, yet it
isn t without critics who contend that different components have more impact on approaches at the
state and local level, and that culture is excessively troublesome, making it impossible to characterize.
Importance of Different Political Subcultures into Modern Society Daniel Elazar first estimated in
1966 that the United States could be separated into three unmistakable political societies: moralistic,
individualistic, and traditionalistic, in his book American Federalism: A View from the States . The
dissemination of these societies all through the United States is ascribed to the transient patterns of
immigrants who settled in and spread out the nation over from the east toward the west coast. These
settlers had unmistakable political and religious esteems that influenced their

The Common Core State Standards Essay
In 2009 the Common Core State Standards, or CCSS, was initiated, and since then has become a large
part of education today. News shows in multiple states have shown students protesting these new
standards by skipping classes and school all together. These actions obviously show their refusal to
work with the new standards. While there are many teachers who are happy with these standards,
students still need to be convinced, and teachers can help this by supporting Common Core State
Standards. This in turn may help students understand their subjects better, and give teachers a more
attentive and active class. With CCSS being present in 2016 in most states it is of relevance to take it
in to consideration that it will be around for a while. In years to come, CCSS may become the
standards in all states. In order to ensure that there are no refusals to work with these standards,
administration and faculty in high schools across the United States should find a way to accommodate
these new common core state standards. This can be done through reassuring individual teachers that
they are able to teach the new standards in ways that are easy for them, showing different ways to help
students achieve a higher order of thinking, and offer a better way to connect students previous
knowledge to knowledge they are currently receiving.
Each of the news ways stated in the previous paragraph can help to alleviate any concerns parents and
teachers may have about how students and education

My Love Of Photography
He had been around the globe and back, looking at thousands of photographs, year after year, day after
day, second after second, trying to fill this hole he had inside of him. It had been eight years since he
lost his mother after a long and hard battle, but it had felt like a century since she was with him. Her
love of photography carried on through him, and her work would never be forgotten. Her unique style
and perspective was like no other, and throughout his career as a buyer of the most beautiful and most
famous photos, he had never seen one quite like hers. He strode down 42nd and 8th avenue in his
suede black suit, white tie, leather loafers, and he had his briefcase in hand. The loud sounds and
action of Time Square ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He had walked this way many times and had never noticed this tiny old gallery. He then slowly
opened the door. The wooden floors creaked as he walked, the painting on the wall was chipping, and
one could hear a pin drop for the room was entirely empty except for the quite young employee at the
counter. There were very few photographs hanging from the wall, and he thought to himself that he
would not be purchasing anything that day, until he saw it. As he was about to turn back around and
walk out, something caught his eye. His hand unwrapped from the handle of his briefcase, and it
dropped to the floor making a thumping sound. His eyes were opened wide with the look of complete
and utter shock, and his body went numb. For a moment he felt as though everything in the world had
disappeared and the only thing visible was this photograph. He was in awe of the beauty and the
emotion that this photo portrayed. It can t be. He whispered to himself.
He had remembered that his mother had generated one last collection before her passing. It consisted
of 11 photographs that no other photographer was capable of taking. Her talent and ability to convey
such inspiration and joy through her pictures was the thing she was most known for. She was so
unbelievably talented that her work was just mesmerizing. Why did she not show me this last photo?
This single photograph hanging on the wall of this shabby gallery resembled everything his

Job Enlargement, Rotation And Enrichment
It is important for organizations to understand how job enlargement, rotation and enrichment, play a
critical role in the workplace motivation. Each of these components has a certain level of similarities
and differences that can be helpful or harmful in an organization. According to Chung and Ross
(1977), horizontal job loading is a phrase used to describe job enlargement. It adds more task elements
to an existing job and requires that employees perform large units of work instead of fragmented
portions. Job enlargement could have the ability to improve employee satisfaction, reduce costs and
potentially increase productivity. It can accomplish this by expanding the responsibilities assigned to
one individual. However, while it seems to have many pros it could also have some setbacks that an
organization should be prepared to handle. Because there are more duties required for the same job, an
employee may experience a level of exhaustion over time. When strategically planning on how job
enlargement will benefit various positions within the company, employees overall physical and mental
well being should be monitored in order to sustain a optimal level of performance and motivation.
According to Lawler (1969), the level of energy required to meet the production rate of jobs that have
been enlarged could decrease the motivation generated by employees overtime. This is not to say that
job enlargement is necessarily bad. It is quite possible that if properly applied, it

Plutarch Controversy
Plutarch (45 120 AD), a Greek biographer and moral philosopher, is the author of Life of Antony: an
ancient source chronicling the life and dealings of Mark Antony (83 30 BC). Part of a larger collection
of biographies focused on prominent Roman and Greek figures, the Life of Antony was intended as a
character study (Fear, 2008). Plutarch was exceedingly intrigued by the ways in which the
personalities, integrities and shortcomings of legendary men influenced the path of history. Life of
Antony is infamous for its amalgamation of history and myth (Kimball, 2000). In the modern sense,
Plutarch would not be considered a true historian. However, the source gives notable insight into
significant figures in Antony s life in particular Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt (69 30 BC). It is considered
the principal ancient source of Cleopatra s life (Fear, 2008), detailing the effect Plutarch believed
Cleopatra to have on Antony.
In the provided extract Plutarch gives his depiction of Cleopatra and the leverage she has over Antony.

Other historians, such as Cassius Dio and Horace, held similar views. Cleopatra was virtually always
portrayed as a corrupting influence on Antony (Fear, 2008). This view was greatly manipulated by
Octavian and the savage propaganda war he unleased against Cleopatra. Octavian strived extremely
hard to paint Cleopatra in the most negative light possible and destroy her reputation. Consequently,
he poured out a flood of extravagant allegations. Cleopatra was accused of being devious, calculating,
manipulative, foreign and sexually crazed. According to Holland (1997), His [Octavian s] Queen
Cleopatra was a drunken harlot, the wickedest women in the world (p. 3). Octavian also strived to

Summary Of Soledad Brother By George Jackson
Hope is a Necessity In a world that is so unpredictable, sometimes there is nothing else that a person
can do to make a situation better besides hoping for a good outcome. Hope can have a big impact on
the way people view the world, and can potentially save lives. Hope is communicated in many ways,
including a variety of art forms, such as literature. Some examples of literature that show how
powerful having hope can be are the novel Soledad Brother by George Jackson, the short story
Salvation by Langston Hughes, the short story Superheroes, Just for Each Other by Peter S. Goodman
and the article Man Needs Hope to Live, by Christopher Kaczor. These literary works show that even
the smallest bit of hope can help a person make wiser decisions regarding his or her future, but having
no hope for the future leads people to make choices that are ethically wrong.
Soledad Brother by George Jackson is a piece of literature that shows that hope can sway a person s
decision about the actions that he or she takes. The novel is written in the stream of consciousness
writing style. All the letters that Jackson writes show that he has hatred towards the system in which
he is living in. Jackson was sentenced to one year to life in jail. Even though Jackson has some
repulsive thoughts about the police officers and their ideas, he does nothing to express his opinion
about the police officers, such as starting an argument or fight with the police officers, because he has
hope that if

Christians Found Real Truth
Have Christians found real truth?
Pilate said to him, What is truth? The truth is the most glorious thing. It has existed since the
beginning of creation; it is esteemed more precious than silver or gold. Many people have tried to
embrace truth, others have searched for it all their lives, but just a few have found it. Truth is
everlasting, but humans through history have distorted it into different kinds of definitions. For Pilate,
truth was the foundation in the use of his senses, in his reasoning, and the observation of facts.
Through the years the Christians have modified their concept of truth in a new type of Atheism, where
the mind is strength and is just willing to trust all that is reasonable.
Truth is all about God, eternity, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That is the notion of the heathen, and the Epicureans. He isn´t merely a God who extends his

[The Christian faith is were] God fills the soul and heart of those he possesses. He is a God who
makes them aware inwardly of their wretchedness while revealing his infinite mercy. He is a God who
unites himself with them in the depths of their being. He is One who fills them with humility, joy,
confidence, and love. Indeed, he is One who makes them incapable of having any other objects except
himself.

whole nature of man in particular and the whole conduct of the world should be the goal and focus of

him, knows the reason for everything. Christianity needs to know that Christ power and deity is to

  • 3. America s Culinary Heritage Of American Cuisine Essay With a mission of celebrating, preserving, and nurturing America s culinary heritage, for one of just a handful of times, the James Beard Foundation opened the kitchen and dining rooms of the Beard House in New York City to the Mississippi Delta. Maybe not the first, but definitely the first of its kind, an all star cast of Delta chefs and beverage masters presented our story, their passion and their perfectly prepared menu to a packed house of predominantly New York locals. The Beard House is considered a performance space for chefs, distillers, wine makers, brewers and chocolatiers. Its mission is to celebrate the unique regions of American cuisine. And we were thrilled to host this talented and diverse group of chefs and participants to showcase the flavors of the Mississippi Delta, says Izabela Wojcik, Director of House Programming for the James Beard Foundation. Presenting a dinner coined The Taste of the Delta, this team graciously accepted the invitation and joined the ranks of some of the world s best chefs and beverage masters invited to cook and entertain at the Beard House. Boarding his flight due south, Chef Cole Ellis of Delta Meat Market recaps It is by all means an honor and we definitely showed them a good time. • 4. Fire Service Mentality Intro For many years, the fire service has been behind the times in scientific advancements in regards to fire tactics, fire behavior, and fire equipment. Through the investigation and experiments of the National Institute of Standards and Technology over the last few years, the fire service has seen enormous strides in research that has changed the mentality of the fire service for the better in my opinion. This paper will cover a little background of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), along with how NIST has changed the fire service for the better, and is NIST good for the fire service as a whole. NIST a Back Ground The need for a Federal Bureau of standards was talked about for almost 20 years before legislation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the biggest advancement in the last few years through the help and research of NIST has been that of flow paths and fire. NIST has been able to show the fire service that when there is a fire and say a window is knocked out or a door open and not controlled that the flow of natural ventilation would help the fire grow. This growth then fueled the fire to a point that would catch firefighters off guard maybe even kill them. Such fires as the one in Chicago that killed a fire captain that died from the injuries that he sustained while advancing a hose line into a two story, single family structure (Weinschenk, Overholt, Madrzykowski, 2014). Since NIST determined this to be a real threat to firefighters, departments have been taking genuine efforts to control the flow of air to the best of their ability at structure fires. I think that this new tactic of air control has been a real game changer for fire departments all around the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Soviet Imperialism And The Soviet Union The United States and the Soviet Union operated as associates and fought against the Nazi regime during World War II, however, the merger did not last long and ultimately became the Cold War. Americans had for some time been careful about Soviet socialism and worried about Russian pioneer Joseph Stalin s overbearing, ruthless guideline of his own nation. As far as concerns them, the Soviets loathed the Americans decades long refusal to regard the USSR as a real part of the universal group and also their postponed section into World War II, which brought about the passing of a huge number of Russians. After the war ended, these grievances aged into a staggering feeling of shared doubt and animosity. After the war, Soviet expansionism in Eastern Europe drove numerous Americans fears of a Russian arrangement to control the world. In the meantime, the USSR came to disdain what they saw as American authorities pugnacious talk, arms development and the interventionist way to deal with global relations. In such an unfriendly air, no single gathering was total to fault for the Cold War; truth be told, a few history specialists trust it was unavoidable (History.com, 2009) When the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, president George H. W. Bush through his secretary of state James Baker promised Soviet premier Mikhail Gorbachev that in exchange for Soviet cooperation on German reunification, the Cold War era NATO union would not increase one inch . Baker stated, Look, if you ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The computer was first brought into existence in the late... The computer was first brought into existence in the late 1930 s using vacuum tubes to create the sounds that are found in motion pictures today and since then; there has been a non stop growth in the advancement of our technology and society. Growth can sometimes flourish so fast that it can be hard to keep track of especially in the areas that it may be easily overlooked until it comes to be necessary, such as the ethics. This new type of technological development brings ethical concerns upon us, just how it brought a cultural awakening upon society. For every technological glass ceiling we have broken through comes an endless cascading effect of technical development in any of the other areas. When scientists first discovered the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... And what are the ethics that go with computer use in our society today? There are many inquiries that arise when looking at the relationship that exists between computers and ethics. But before we can look at the role computers have with ethics, we first need to understand why it is extremely significant to acknowledge this connection, along with the possible effects that may come about it if this relationship is ignored or forgotten. Let s take a look at a unique instance which involves computers and their association with ethics and social media, something almost everyone is a part of today. This case revolves around a recent phone app, called Tinder, which has become popular for both males and females in college campuses. The app allows males and females to log on through their Facebook accounts, which allows for them to share their pictures, age, and mutual friends with others around them. Then once one is registered on the app, a picture of the other sex pops up and they either swipe away or like it, in which it then matches them up with that other person. So essentially this app is dating app for young college students, where males and females have the potential to stalk and talk to others of the opposite sex that live a certain radius from them, and maybe possibly actually meet and date (very unlikely). Tinder is very similar to other dating apps, however it makes it a lot less complicated for college students so that they are easily able ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. North Germany And The Punk Rock Movement East Germany and the Punk Rock Movement That Paralyzed It The punk rock movement, which started in the early 1970s in England and America, expanded through Germany. At the end of WWII and the beginning of the postwar years different economic, social, and political ideals led to the division of Germany. Two very distinct Germanys emerged causing West Germany to join the Western Allies and East Germany to integrate into the socialist camp (Hoffmeister, Tubach 124). East Germany paid close attention to westernized music; specifically punk rock since these types of music did not comply with socialist ideals (Hurley 160). By the end of the 1970s and beginning of the 1980s, an underground punk scene sprang up in East Germany (Hurley 163). Some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The conditions in East Germany during the 1970s 1980s were that of total institutions culminating an environment of transition. East Germany found itself transitioning from one political, economic, and social system to a governmental system that operated in the form of a total institution .The concept of total institution developed by sociologist Erving Goffman describes institutions that have complete control over people s lives and usually have them enclosed or isolated from the outside world (Mouzelis 9). These institutions can be prisons or mental institutions, in this case, I claim the East German government was a total institution since it had complete control over its citizens under an enclosed environment. The German Democratic Republic (GDR) controlled East Germany. The Soviet Union controlled the GDR through the Socialist Unity Party (SED) (Hoffmeister, Tubach 123). The GDR and the SED were governmental institutions that oppress the people of Germany and had many regulations against its citizens. The SED was a Marxist Leninist party, and even though the GDR stands for the German Democratic Republic, it was only Democratic in the name because other then that it was totalitarian. Out of the shackles of an oppressing environment came an emerging voice known as the punk rock scene. Punk music has an identity of its own ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Lynch Syndrome Lynch syndrome, previously known as hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) is a parental inherited condition that exposes a person to the risks of cancers, but most commonly colon cancer1 9. It is a heterozygous autosomal dominant genetic condition, which means that if only one parent carries the gene for Lynch syndrome (LS), then a 50 percent chance of passing on the mutation will be passed to each child1 9. LS is limited to families with a known pathogenic germline mutation2. A germline mutation is when mutations occur in the germ line, which is a group of cells that contribute to the improvement of gametes2,3,10. To find out how individuals are to contract this disease, the family medical history must be taken into account. Early ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first role is that there is a predisposition to cancer development, meaning that a mutation in Mlh1 or Msh2 provide alternate causes for LS2,5. These mutations are distinguished because of the presence of CpG islands and following transcriptional loss of single genetic alleles of the affected gene, which results in the comparison of a heterozygous mutation2,10. CpG islands are clusters of the sequence CG which may be gathered near promoter regions in a gene10. Another role is when the Lynch associated tumors developed as a result a somatic loss of function of the last normal allele of the mutated gene2. Somatic loss of function is a genetic change that takes place in a somatic cell, but the change is not aquired2,10. Finally, the last role is the role of more derived epigenetic changes that may be gained to assist the growth and advancement of associated Lynch tumors2. The studies of these roles have shown that tumor suppressor genes occur within Lynch syndrome ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The irony in this photo and creativity within is by putting these two identical sisters together in the same frame, we begin to notice everything that is different between them. The outfits of both sisters are identical wearing dark corduroy dresses with white collars and cuff, even their white tights and white headbands, used to give them identical hair styles (Nikolova). Thomas Paine created this pamphlet, Common Sense, in January 1776. Some may question the purpose, and that was to motivate Americans to fight for what they believe in, what they want and what they deserve during the British conflict. Throughout Crisis No. 1, Thomas Paine uses pathos to persuade the colonist and revolutionaries to go to war against the British. Paine talks about how the future will improve, and mentions God many times throughout his pamphlet. He explained to me that it wasn t Jazz unless it swung like the greats. I listened to a song Sing Sing Sing the other day from one of my Jazz collections that my grandpa gave to me and realized that their was so much energy and pizzazz in this music. He explained to me that it was all put together by a guy named Benny, and I understood why. In Los Angeles, the band created a sensation, essentially starting the swing era. In fact, Goodman became known as the King of Swing (Collier, 1989). Swing was the dominant idiom of the 1930s and much of the 1940s. Basically, it was a form of dance music played by a large band, and was the medium through which most white Americans first heard Jazz (Schuller,1989). Although the decade 1935 45 was called the Swing Era, swing arrangements had been played by large bands beginning in the 1920s. Bandleader arrangers Fletcher Henderson, Duke Ellington, and, later, Count Basie, worked out arrangements for their 10 to 12 piece bands, which, unlike traditional jazz bands, were divided into instrumental sections. The rhythm section (piano, guitar, bass, and drums) maintained a steady, even beat; the saxophone and brass sections countered each other with harmonized riffs and repeated figures, with section leaders improvising over this background (Stewart, 1979). Utilized almost exclusively for dancing, the music of the big bands borrowed heavily from the techniques introduced by Henderson. Among the most popular bands were those led by Goodman, Glenn Miller, Woody Herman, the Dorsey brothers, and Artie Shaw. As a counterpart of the highly arranged orchestrations of these New York based bands, a Kansas City swing style developed under the influence of Count Basie and Bennie Moten that emphasized a blues ... • 15. Compare And Contrast Suburban And Homecoming The quality and importance of life are looked at by most as a valuable and great gift, but this perception of someone s life is stated differently by the two poets, David Malouf and Bruce Dawe. The poems Suburban and Homecoming express life through the eyes of two separate groups, one being a stereotypical individual and the other, a group of men fighting for their own lives. Poetry offers many hidden meanings within their stories, Suburban and Homecoming are no different offering two distinct takes on the meaning of life. Whether that be shown through war, or a Sunday morning after a long night out, both poems convey the emotions of life, both positively and negatively. Homecoming by Bruce Dawe describes the homecoming of dead Australian Soldiers from the Vietnamese War, (lines 2 3). The poem has its poet expressing his opinions on man s response to wars and how vital human life is, the soldier need to be brought home and the brutality and futility of wars between the human s race. In contrast, Suburban, by David Malouf, expresses to the reader the facade of modern suburbia, lukewarm residency clouded by public idealism and picket fences. Suburban suggests similar themes of masked anxieties by apparent political or social orders, which is clearly expressed through the way Malouf describes modern suburbia; as dull and emotionless. Homecoming directly contrasts this and describes a chaotic and destructive, this is demonstrated through the entirety of the poem, poetic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 16. Pros And Cons Of A Flat Tax System The modern concept of a flat tax was popularized by Stephen Forbes in his 1996 presidential campaign when he proposed a universal income tax rate of 17 percent. Republicans have been advocating for a flat tax plan ever since and the latest crop of presidential hopefuls eclipsed by Donald Trump, proposed similar plans. Ted Cruz was talking about a flat 10 percent while Bush, Huckabee, Carson, Rubio and Rand Paul all had similar ideas. The 2016 Republican nominee, Donald Trump, also advocates for a reduction in tax brackets closely resembling a flat tax rate, since he is a reported billionaire. (Shlaes, 2015) The current tax system employs a progressive tax rate, which means the percentage of income taxed rises with the amount earned. Currently, earners who made up to $8,375 paid ten percent while those who made more than $373,650 paid the top rate of 35 percent. Under the progressive tax system, a taxpayer pays a base rate on the first dollar earned and rates rise as earnings rise so that making more money means moving into a higher tax bracket. In a flat tax system, top earners pay more in dollars but pay at the same percentage rate. (Shlaes, 2015) History: There have been two instances of a flat tax being levied in the United States, both times utilized to respond to a major crisis. Both times, the flat tax revenue was never actualized. The first time was in 1861 at the onset of the Civil War and the Lincoln Administration s need to finance the war effort. Until then, ... Some adults have trouble manipulating their children and teaching them what is right from wrong, while others have a much easier time doing so. In my opinion there is no such thing as the perfect parent , both the mother and the father have their flaws, but what matters is that the parent is always there for personal support. This shows a lack of responsibility coming from both parents because at this age the parents should be concerned about the daughter going to school and both parents should have a job accounted for. The irresponsibility s of the parents can affect a child from a young age, not only does it complicates the life of the kid, but the parents do a poor job of teaching a child the values of being responsible. One parent shows responsibilities for their kids while the other parent shows no remorse for her daughter. Finally, being a leader and a hard worker not only in your children s lives but also in society is what makes a huge difference between a great parent and a mediocre parent. Showing a child the values of leadership and hard work can make a kids future that much better. A parent that holds these two characteristics and is able to put them to use in society will not only be a great example for their kids, but a superb example of a great parent. In the poem Those Winter Sundays , Hayden illustrates the hard work and leadership this father puts in for the family to have a nice comfortable living. In the 1980 s, it rose from eighteen to twenty one in an attempt to reduce the amount of underage drunk driving accidents. The number of traffic fatalities has significantly declined over the past few decades. However, many would argue that the law has spawned many new problems as well, such as an increase in alcohol poisoning deaths and binge drinking. As previously stated, the primary reason for adjustment to the legal drinking age was to address the preposterous number of drunk driving accidents. The United States has experienced a decline in all age groups over the last 25 years and for that, the law has been a success. Although these statistics are encouraging, one must also wonder if more has contributed to this decline than the law itself. 1984 was a completely different time period. Since then, airbags have become a mandatory component of every car, and laws requiring that a seat belt must be worn are enforced in most states, reducing the impact if one was to ever be involved in a crash. Well according to Dr. Craig Canapari, sleep deprivation and severe stress in students is caused by early school start times and heavy homework amounts. This not only affects teenagers, but it is also an issue for younger children. 90% of teenagers are sleep deprived, which can have various consequences pertaining to their health, safety and overall well being. About 15% of teenage students have over 2 hours of homework per night, some even having 3, 4 or even 5 HOURS OF HOMEWORK! I recently sent out a survey to my classmates and I discovered that 36.8% of my classmates were spending an hours to an hour and a half on homework. I also found out that 31.6% of them were spending 2 hours or more on their homework, which is more than the recommended amount for children our age. Some may think this is helpful to their academic career, but it can actually be very detrimental. In fact, students can stay up doing homework for so long that they become sleep deprived and when you are sleep deprived, it becomes very challenging to retain information. So really, when students are doing hours of homework and aren t retaining any information because of sleep deprivation, every single benefit that a homework assignment may have to offer is lost! • 27. The Common Core State Standards Essay In 2009 the Common Core State Standards, or CCSS, was initiated, and since then has become a large part of education today. News shows in multiple states have shown students protesting these new standards by skipping classes and school all together. These actions obviously show their refusal to work with the new standards. While there are many teachers who are happy with these standards, students still need to be convinced, and teachers can help this by supporting Common Core State Standards. This in turn may help students understand their subjects better, and give teachers a more attentive and active class. With CCSS being present in 2016 in most states it is of relevance to take it in to consideration that it will be around for a while. In years to come, CCSS may become the standards in all states. In order to ensure that there are no refusals to work with these standards, administration and faculty in high schools across the United States should find a way to accommodate these new common core state standards. This can be done through reassuring individual teachers that they are able to teach the new standards in ways that are easy for them, showing different ways to help students achieve a higher order of thinking, and offer a better way to connect students previous knowledge to knowledge they are currently receiving. • 29. Job Enlargement, Rotation And Enrichment It is important for organizations to understand how job enlargement, rotation and enrichment, play a critical role in the workplace motivation. Each of these components has a certain level of similarities and differences that can be helpful or harmful in an organization. According to Chung and Ross (1977), horizontal job loading is a phrase used to describe job enlargement. It adds more task elements to an existing job and requires that employees perform large units of work instead of fragmented portions. Job enlargement could have the ability to improve employee satisfaction, reduce costs and potentially increase productivity. It can accomplish this by expanding the responsibilities assigned to one individual. However, while it seems to have many pros it could also have some setbacks that an organization should be prepared to handle. Because there are more duties required for the same job, an employee may experience a level of exhaustion over time. When strategically planning on how job enlargement will benefit various positions within the company, employees overall physical and mental well being should be monitored in order to sustain a optimal level of performance and motivation. According to Lawler (1969), the level of energy required to meet the production rate of jobs that have been enlarged could decrease the motivation generated by employees overtime. This is not to say that job enlargement is necessarily bad. It is quite possible that if properly applied, it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Summary Of Soledad Brother By George Jackson Hope is a Necessity In a world that is so unpredictable, sometimes there is nothing else that a person can do to make a situation better besides hoping for a good outcome. Hope can have a big impact on the way people view the world, and can potentially save lives. Hope is communicated in many ways, including a variety of art forms, such as literature. Some examples of literature that show how powerful having hope can be are the novel Soledad Brother by George Jackson, the short story Salvation by Langston Hughes, the short story Superheroes, Just for Each Other by Peter S. Goodman and the article Man Needs Hope to Live, by Christopher Kaczor. These literary works show that even the smallest bit of hope can help a person make wiser decisions regarding his or her future, but having no hope for the future leads people to make choices that are ethically wrong. Soledad Brother by George Jackson is a piece of literature that shows that hope can sway a person s decision about the actions that he or she takes. The novel is written in the stream of consciousness writing style. All the letters that Jackson writes show that he has hatred towards the system in which he is living in.
