Pros And Cons Of Same Sex Marriage In Australia
There are many articles written about the debate of same sex marriage with many varying opinions on
whether it is a good thing or a bad thing. Everyone has their own opinion about same sex marriage.
But they don t seem to understand how many people it will effect in Australia if it s a majority No
vote. An article called Census: Same Sex Couples Still A Statistically Small Percent Of Australians .
The article states that 40% 50% of the population is gay. Which means of a population of nearly 24.5
million people roughly half is gay. So why not allow gay marriage to happen here in Australia? There
is already so many countries that have already allowed it to happen in their country in the last 20
years.
There are many examples of LGBTIQ in books, movies, TV shows and with Celebrities. But guess
what they are accepted by their fans, and their peers without a second thought. Some examples are; in
The mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare she wrote not one but two characters who are apart
of the LGBTIQ community and both characters aren t in the background but are two of the many main
characters in the series. These characters are Magnus Bane who holds a very important position
through the series being the high warlock of Brooklyn and all, and Alec Lightwood, who is very
important to the series being amazing with a bow and arrow and being a Shadowhunter. All of the fans
of the series have a favourite couple in the series and for this one it just so happens to be the

Putin s Power Of Power
It seems that Putin has been able to build up his power in a variety of ways throughout his political
career. Even throughout power struggles, Putin had been able to prevail. What does Putin have to
attribute to his rise in power, was it luck or strategy? Well according to the rhetoric of Gerschewski,
there isn t simply one solid reason or force behind the stability of an autocratic regime. Gerschewski
wrote, Today s autocracies cannot rely (at least in the long term) entirely on their abuse of power in a
strictly hierarchal, pyramid shaped political order as the unconstrained tyrants of the past from whom
all of the power is derived might have done (Gerschewski, 2013, pg. 7). Moreover, Gerschewksi
suggests that autocracies rely on three pillars rather than one sole concept. The three pillars include,
Legitimation, Repression, and Co optation. Within the article he placed emphasis on observing three
processes that take place within and between the pillars in an effort to properly explain the
stabilization processes (Gerschewski, 2013, pg. 12).
The two pillars that seem to be the strongest in the case of Russia s regime, are repression and co
optation. The weakest pillar, hence would be legitimation. This isn t to say that legitimation wasn t or
isn t at play. As had been mentioned previously, the pillars within the stabilization process are built
over time, and include three processes necessary for observation.
Legitimation serves the function of gaining support

Analysis Of Revolutionary Mothers
Revolutionary Mothers Revolutionary Mothers: Women in the Struggle for America s Independence.
By Carol Berkin. 2005. P. 194. As we study the Revolutionary War we tend to think of the men that
revolted, fought, and petitioned, but have we ever thought about what the women did during the war?
In Revolutionary Mothers: Women in the Struggle for America s Independence, we get a chance to see
the women s side of the war and what they did during this troubling time. Carol Berkin shows us what
each race and class of women went through and their contributions during the war with well
researched information and her own techniques. Revolutionary Mothers is a historical non fiction
book about the lives of women before, during, and after the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The writing of Revolutionary Mothers requires many sources to help emphasize the importance of its
content, and Carol Berkin did just that. When reading Revolutionary Mothers you begin to see quotes
and references from many sources included in each chapter. The sources that Carol Berkin used to
write the book include journals, diaries, articles and newspapers, letters, and other books. These
sources are about both women in during the colonial and Revolutionary times and the Revolutionary
war in general. Carol Berkin did an exquisite job researching for her book, often citing at least twelve
reliable sources for each chapter. Though she used many sources for writing her book, she did not use
very many maps or pictures. She placed an illustration, depicting each topic, at the beginning of every
chapter, with no maps, pictures, or other illustrations. Although she used few pictures or maps, she
captured the reader s imagination by her depictive descriptions making her book seem to be a short
historical fiction novel telling the journeys that different women took in the Revolutionary War era,
making it unnecessary to use abundance of pictures, maps, or illustrations. Carol Berkin s experience
of writing and knowledge of history show through writing in Revolutionary Mothers. Berkin has been
the author and editor of many

The Conflict Process Model and Its Application in...
Introduction
This essay endeavours to not only discuss the elements of the conflict process model such as the
reasons or sources that can trigger conflict in an organisational setting, with particular reference to
behavioural factors and what positive and negative impacts that can thus be resulted, but will also
discuss the different behavioural characteristics and mechanisms that various cultural backgrounds
reveal in order to manage conflict. It will further evaluate the consequences and drawbacks from
stereotyping particular cultural groups and analyse the role and responsibility of the management in
understanding the cause of conflicts and specifically cross cultural conflict and how they could be
solved effectively.

Every action that they engage in after the emotions have been developed is aimed at proving their
superiority to others (Deutsch 2006). In most cases, employees are engaged in ensuring they are
viewed as the better ones in any undertaking in the organisation. Research indicates that relationship
conflict have more negative effects than task conflict. The fact that relationship conflicts result in the
use of emotions in coming up with solutions makes it more stressful to the employees.
Behavioural factors that can manifest conflict Organisational conflicts are characterised by a variety of
factors and in particular behavioural. These may take different forms depending on the nature in which
they are portrayed. They could either be written, oral or physical. The oral behaviour that manifests
conflict in the organisation involves a case where the employees engage in exchange of unpleasant
words that display the existence of the conflict. Secondly, the conflict may be in the form of written
documents that bear evidence of conflict (Popejoy 2002). Such documents may be in form of e mails
that are exchanged between the parties in conflict in the organisation. Finally, the conflict in the
organisation may be portrayed in terms of physical confrontation among the employees and this is the
highest limit that the conflict in the organisation can be portrayed through (Popejoy 2002).
There are different approaches that could be used by people of different cultural

A doomsday machine fits the bill. Ruling out human meddling is crucial because one must make
credible the incredible threat of suicide. Dr. Strangelove explains this logic:
President Merkin Muffley: But, how is it possible for this thing to be triggered automatically, and at
the same time impossible to untrigger? (54:42)
Strangelove: Mr. President, it is not only possible, it is essential. That is the whole idea of this
machine, you know. Deterrence is the art of producing in the mind of the enemy ... the fearto attack.
And so, because of the automated and irrevocable decision making process which rules out human
meddling, the doomsday machine is terrifying. It s simple to understand. And completely credible, and
convincing.
Although it may not be fair to condemn the automated response doomsday device on the basis of a
single slip up, the film invalidates the wisdom of that machine by highlighting its dangers. Would any
state cede control of its weapons to computers and sensors?6So the problem remains: how to make the
incredible credible. A fallback strategy is to introduce illogic and uncertainty into nuclear strategy and
nuclear command and control. Akin to throwing the steering wheel out the car window when engaged
in a game of chicken, delegating to base commanders the authority to issue strikes decentralizes
military control and makes retaliation more likely.
Deterrence is enhanced if nuclear bombs might explode whenever a

The Best Research Approach For Sanitarium Market Research
Assignment 2
Di Zhang
110069398
Scenario 1
Discussion of target respondents:
The target respondent of Sanitarium is customers who did purchase so good coconut milk in the last
12 month. As the objective for this research is aiming to gain an understanding of who is buying their
so good coconut milk, how they are using, how they view so good coconut milk and if they use other
sanitarium products. And other group of target respondent would be sales people who work in the
market for Sanitarium products, because their feedback is also important to achieve the research
objectives.
Discussion of research approach:
The best research approach for Sanitarium market research would be the combination of qualitative
and quantitative method. Qualitative research is a broad umbrella term that cover a wide range of
techniques and philosophies. In broad terms, qualitative research is an approach that allows you to
examine people s experiences in detail information, it include method such as in depth interview,
focus groups, content analysis etc. (Frederick, 2015) Quantitative research method quantifies data and
focus on a large number of data, it meet the objective of the research project as to find out the number
of best sell product. Similarly, using primary data is the dedicated to the problem at hand, also it is
very useful for face to face interview (Zikumund 2014)
Discussion of method:
For Sanitarium, a combination of questionnaire and focus groups interview would be ideal to

False Claims Act And Qui Tam Provisionss
This thesis is written to provide a historical and policy evaluative perspective on the topic of the False
Claims Act and it s Qui Tam provisions. The False Claims Act is a fairly old Act, dating back to 1863.
The Act was first enacted to fight procurement fraud but in recent years the focus has turned to health
care fraud. This thesis will seek to determine whether or not the False Claims Act and it s Qui Tam
provisions are an effective tool in fighting fraud, in particular health care fraud. The focus of this
thesis will be to evaluate the False Claims Act (FCA) and in particular its Qui Tam provisions. A
closer look will be taken at the emergence of a very lucrative type of fraud in the United States. This
type of fraud has only been on

Video Analysis On Run
The third video, Run, includes more symbolism. However, it is mostly focused on the relationships
that the characters had with each other and their interactions together. Basically, the group can be
paired off into Rap Monster and V, Suga and Jungkook, and J Hope and Jimin. Jin does not have a
partner in this. He is further differentiated from the group in this way, and in the video he still has his
recording motif, as well as looking into the camera. The video starts with V falling backwards into
dark water. The water acts as a mirror in this case, showing him fall from one side of the mirror into
the other. There are shots of him struggling underwater throughout the video as well. After that, Rap
Monster is featured visiting the train tracks where the group was seen together. In this video, his
would be considered the present time. When he opens the door to one of the train cars, he starts a
flashback to times when the group was having fun. While the entire video is meant to be before the
members die, these are further flashbacks to when even V has not died, and they are all having fun
together. Some of these moments of fun directly mirror the activities that the ... Show more content on

One explanation of the basic plotline is that first, V kills a man. He is at a loss as to how to handle this,
and ends up killing himself. After that, unable to cope with his not being there, the rest of the members
also commit suicide in various ways, except for Jin. Although the specific order is not abundantly
clear, one can infer that at least Suga dies before Jungkook. Jin, however, is the only one left alive by
the end of this, forced to watch each of his friends disappear without being able to do anything about
it. These hypotheses can be deduced from the symbolism present in the form of cameras of recordings,
butterflies, and mirrors, among

The Myth About Hephaestus
The myth about Hephaestus had many connections which relate to real life and society. The
connection I made while reading the myth were that looks do not matter, everyone has a talent and
hard work. Hera gave up her son, Hephaestus because he looked ugly and deformed without knowing
his personality. This took place during the Unusual Birth part of the hero cycle. Hera had seen how her
son looked deformed so she threw him into the sea where a Sea God caught him and took care of him.
In real life many people judge each other by how they look without actually getting to know them.
Hephaestus was just born and Hera had no idea about his talents in Blacksmith and metal work. The
second connection I made was that everyone has a talent or something

Turbulent Flow Trial in Pipe Flow Experiment
For experiment 100 (pipe flow) there were some operational errors that took place during the lab
period. There was one accident that involved the safety officer and the cross trainer that was there for
the first lab period. Both the cross trainer and the safety officer were near the viscometer as they were
both operating it. When the cross trainer finished utilizing the suction bulb, he was instructed by the
team leader to begin recoding the density measurements. The cross trainer reached into the water bath
picking up a volumetric flask by its cap, this caused the flask to slip from its cap and fall to the table.
While this was happening, the safety officer was crouched near the cross trainer with a stopwatch
trying to record the liquids efflux time. As the flask was falling the safety officer reached out to catch
it and accidently cut his hand when the flask hit the table. Review attached accident report in the
appendix for further detail of the accident.
During the first lab period, after the accident was cleaned up, we were able to obtain four density and
viscosity measurements for both water and propylene glycol at different temperatures. For the pipe
flow experiments, we were able to complete eight trials for turbulent flow experiment, twenty trials
for the pump performance experiment, and five trials for the laminar experiment. These trial numbers
were short of our goal of finishing all of the trials for both turbulent laminar for that day because of

B. Catalysis occurs on a specific site on the enzyme (the active site). The active site is usually less
than 5% of the surface area of the protein, and is always in a cleft. The rest of the molecule serves to
present the active site in a three dimensional structure that is capable of binding substrate and
catalyzing the reaction. Binding to a substrate is very specific, and involves ionic interactions, H
bonds and van der Waals forces. C. Only amino acids with polar side chains participate directly in
catalysis (Cys, His, Ser, Asp, Glu and Lys). Some reactions require electron acceptors, and since no
side chains are good electron acceptors coenzymes and cofactors are required for catalysis of some
reactions. D. Enzymes catalyze reactions by several means: ▪ by orienting the substrate molecules. ▪
by increasing the effective concentration of the substrate. ▪ by acid base catalysis ▪ by covalent
catalysis ▪ by using the energy of substrate binding to promote the enzyme catalyzed reaction.
III. Criteria For Establishing The Presence Of Enzymes
Since most of the known biological catalysts are proteins two criteria are generally used for
establishing the existence of enzymes. The first is that the rate of a reaction in the presence of an
enzyme is greater than the rate in its absence. Because the uncatalyzed rates of most biologically
important reactions are effectively zero, the mere

A Treatise On Courtly Love Analysis
The ideas found in Andreas Capellanus A Treatise on Courtly Love have made their mark on the
human psyche since its inception. The treatise defines love as: an inborn suffering proceeding from the
sight and immoderate thought upon the beauty of the other sex, for which cause above all other things
one wishes to embrace the other and, by common assent, in this embrace to fulfill the commandments
of love... (pg. 1). By framing love as an obsessional and insufferable experience, Capellanus renders
those in the midst of worshiping a paramour from afar helpless until their lovesickness is
consummated. Because men and women are programmed to enjoy the act of making love, the text
attempts to contain and formalize love through a systematic explanation of the private and passionate
pursuit of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Francesca strategically utilizes the concept of love, as described by Capellanus, as her alibi. In her
eyes, she is absolved of blame; it was the literature which swept her into a world of love and passion
(this would be equivalent to blaming alcohol for one s actions the other night at the bar). Francesca s
subsequent telling of her placement in hell nonetheless evokes an interesting and varied interpretation.
Despite her sin, perhaps she is hinting at the fact that her brief love affair will in reality last a lifetime
since Paolo will always remain by her side in the second circle of The Inferno. Conversely, she may be
suggesting that her moment of fulfilled passion and desire was well worth the eternal consequence of
displacement and pain. At any rate, what remains true for Dante, and it is well represented in Inferno,
is that the greater one s will is to sin, the deeper into the hellish abyss they fall. While anoesis is the
least willful of sins, it is nevertheless a choice that caused the lustful to be damned for all

Aristotle Analysis
An examination of Aristotle s critique of the different claims to rule reveals that because of our nature
as political animals, living the good life is most practicable under the regime of the polity. Therefore,
by separating the utopian theory of a regime and the practicable application, Aristotle shows that we
can live in a state where our virtue contributes to the being of the city, and in the process, bring forth
the ultimate goal of the city: achieving happiness through the good life.
By laying out the case for a ruling oligarchy, Aristotle claims the wealthy regard justice in strictly
monetary terms, saying, [oligarchs] think if they are superior in one point, for example in wealth, they
are superior in all (Aristotle 103). In other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the ideal polity, the middle class is the binding glue of moderation among the excess ( the very rich
) and the defect ( the very poor ). It is essential to understand that by applying his ethics to his politics,
Aristotle is claiming that we can find the mean between the god like virtue of his perfect state through
the more practical application of moderation. True, the majority of men who rule in a polity will not
be of the most excellence, but they will be the second best excellence, which is those in possession of
much moderation. By acting as a voice of reason amidst the excessive and defective, the middle can
serve as a barrier against those who would overstep the mean, and therefore act against virtue. This
mean of moderation in cities offers the best chance for the most people to live the good life, as
Aristotle reaffirms when he says, [in cities] moderation and the mean are always best (Aristotle

The Main Difficulties With Multi Agency Partnerships
What are the main difficulties with multi agency partnerships in safeguarding children? Discuss with
reference to social science literature and official reports.
Safeguarding children can best be described as an action taken to promote the welfare of children and
protect them from harm, this involves protecting children from abuse and maltreatment and preventing
harm to children s health or development. (NSPCC, 2016).
Multi agency partnerships in safeguarding children look to identify the goals, circumstances and needs
of children, agencies must agree with both the contribution each agency will have Ensuring it meets
the every child matters guidelines, the main aims are to improve the sharing of information between
the agencies and Oversee arrangements for agencies to work collaboratively in the commissioning,
delivery and integration of services. (Cheminais R, 2009:2).
There are many benefits to working within a multi agency partnership, it not only allows for
professional views from different professionals from a variety of different professions but it also
allows for an individual to receive specifically tailored help top overcome their own situations in
regards to health and welfare, However despite the benefits to multi agency partnerships in
safeguarding children there are many difficulties that need to be acknowledged.

The buildings are just far enough away and draped in a delicate fog that their details remain slightly

ability to draw one into the scene and envelope them in the mystery and serenity of that Parisian

I am certain that while I was sketching the work, I became an obstacle for many of the other patrons of
the Art Institute, which is one of the reasons I sat down. But from this vantage point I had the
opportunity to marvel at the grand scope of this composition. Gustave Calliebotte s Paris Street; Rainy

into the scene that took place over 120 years ago. I could feel the dampness in my hair and smell the
rain on my clothes, although I must attribute at least part of that to the rainy Chicago weather I

contribute to the realism of the piece. The immense size of the painting itself helps to incorporate the

Did you know that it will cost billions to finish the border wall between U.S and Mexico? Do you

money to fund the building of the border wall between the U.S and Mexico. The fence will not stop
immigrants from coming into the country at all, there are ways that people from Mexico can enter the
U.S legally. The border wall is too expensive and impractical for us to continue building to complete
it, it s going to take 4 years for the border wall to completely finish covering the remaining 1,250

The Death Of A Partner Essay
Disagreement Due To Death of a Partner
The death of a partner is an occurrence that is usually anticipated by people forming a partnership.
Much as it is anticipated, however, when it happens, it may bring about disagreements among the
remaining partners. The nature in which the resulting disagreement is handled determines whether the
remaining partners proceed on with the partnership or dissolve it and forget about it. Some deaths of
partners may not result in much disagreement depending on the situation at hand. For instance, a
partner may die with the partnership s unsettled debts. He may also die shortly after creating a
situation that compromises the financial standing of the partnership to a good extent. When such an
individual dies, there are a lot of conflicting ideas that may arise.
In most partnership agreements, there usually are conditions indicating what should be done in the
case of the death of a partner. These include giving the capital of the deceased individual to a named
estate or buying the shares of the partner from the estate, such that the partnership does not have to be
dissolved. This may be simple to decide on if the partner did not at any point interfere with the
financial position of the business. However, if the partner had indulged in transactions that
compromised the financial position of the Partnership before his death, at the point of his death, some
partners may not agree to give his share to the stated estate. Instead, they may feel that

Sarah s Four Selves Essay
Sarah, in order to find her self integration and identity completion, splits into her four selves that she
idealize as her good objects. She identifies with them in order to face her anxieties of the persecutory
object which is her black heritage. Kolin argues that Sarah s four selves represent her psychic family
and her racial and sexual past, reflecting the sensibilities and tastes of this young black woman (38).
Yet her choices of the figures that she aims to find identification with, emphasize the fact that she does
not fit in both worlds; the black and the white. Describing her by her idol , Sarah projects her ego in
the figure of Queen Victoria. The Queen s figure represents Sarah s deep need to be white. Sarah
creates the figure of Queen Victoria to reflect the want to pass white and to be powerful and well
known Queen Victoria. Yet, the Queen s presence in the play emphasizes that Sarah cannot be white ...

The Importance Of Stakeholders And Stakeholders For...

Features of Decision Making in a Political System
WHAT FEATURES OF DECISION MAKING IN POLITICAL SYSTEMS INFLUENCE THE
PRACTICE OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS?
INTRODUCTION
The changing role of law and the need to relate with a transforming society and its citizens has led to a
demand on decision making in political systems (Bijsterveld 2010). Due to the variance in the
decision making of these systems, interest groups carry out their public affairs (PA) activities in a
plethora of ways (Baumgartner 2007) as features such as type of political system, structure,
accountability, dependency on interest groups, etcetera influence PA practices. This stems from the
fact that issues that are significant in one political system might not be as significant in another
(Lowery, Poppelaars and Berkhout ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
PA is however carried out in an unbiased and harmonious way as lobbyists work hand in hand with
EU officials (Woll 2006, Mahoney 2008) and other interest groups, as the EU would rather grant
access to a Europeanized voice when addressing issues.
With regards to choice of policies to influence, interest groups in the US are more focused on
influencing legislative matters rather than regulatory policies (Baumgartner 2007, Mahoney 2008) as
they seeks to influence the decisions of the congress, the court or the administrative government
(Hansford 2004). The EU is a regulatory regime, therefore, organized interest groups particularly
business interests prefer to lobby regulatory processes to secure their individual and collective
business interests (Levy and Prakash 2003). This is done because regulatory processes affect
businesses and more often than not have policy outcomes (Baumgartner 2007).
The level of dependence on organized civil societies (OCS) is another feature that influences the
practice of PA. EU s dependence on OCS arises from their lack of resources both financial and human,
to carry out their activities. The EU commission is highly short staffed, and in need of OCS to provide
technical information and act as contributory agents (Greenwood 2007). Therefore, OCS play
consultative and cooperative roles particularly in the Commission as

How Does Anne Bradstreet Present Her Husband
Anne Bradstreet was one of the most noticeable Puritan poet. She was an educated woman and this
gave her advantage to write about history, politics, religion, medicine and spirituality. She was

she thoroughly enjoyed it and family, husband, and, children were the main subjects of her poetry.
Puritans valued marriage as a blessing from the heavens. It was considered to be a partnership made

Introduction The reason for doing this lab is to study evolution using small population of finches on
two different islands. I used different charts and graphs to find limitations on natural selection. Then
find the effect evolution will have on beak and population over a certain time period. Using three
different assignments I have to develop different hypothesis comparing and contrasting the average
beak size and population size changing rain fall, beak sizes, population and island size on Darwin s
and Wallace experiments. Method I used 3 different assignments: 1, 2, and 4. Assignments 1: I

adapt more rapidly to their surrounding and handle the hard seeds of their island verses the island with

simulation for 300 years. Then find the average in the beak size and population. Which values came to
be 126.2 for Darwin and 475.3 for Wallace. Assignment 4: I developed a hypothesis to predict what
effect an increase in island size will have on beak size and finch populations. I tested my hypothesis

The Supreme Court Case Of Buck Vs. Bell
Buck vs. Bell The Supreme Court case of Buck v. Bell in 1997 is a lawsuit in which the U.S. Supreme
Court upheld a Virginia law that offered the eugenic sterilization for individuals regarded genetically
unfit. The Supreme Court s decision to uphold Virginia s statute regarding sterilization provided the
basis for enactment of similar laws across the United States and subsequent sterilization of 65,000
Americans without their approval or that of their family members. Notably, the ruling of this case was
based on the concept of feeblemindedness, which is no longer applicable in medical terminology.
Actually, this case primarily involved state enforced eugenic sterilization for individuals considered
feebleminded or genetically substandard in certain ways. The case provides considerable insights
concerning eugenics and enforced sterilization in the United States and significant concerns on
whether genetics should be used for any king of legal decision.
Case Summary As previously mentioned, the Supreme Court case of Buck vs. Bell in 1927 was a
lawsuit that entailed state enforced eugenic sterilization for individuals regarded feebleminded or
somehow genetically substandard. Carrie Buck, the plaintiff, together with her mother had been
devoted to the Virginia Colony of Epileptics and Feeble Minded in Virginia (Eugenics Archive, n.d.).
The two were judged to be genetically inferior or feebleminded and immoral since they had children

Of Humanity In The Novel And Quentin Tarantino s Pulp...
Textual form has changed throughout time to reflect different ideals, values and notions of human
ontology in a world seemingly void of meaning. Throughout the 20th centaury, post modern artists
have disrupted traditional paradigms of thinking that have governed our lives and forged out
perceptions of selfhood and linear time. Emerging from the horror of world war II as well as the
emptiness that accompanied it, composers were forced to contemplate upon the very meaning of
human existence. And although composers since this time have varied with context, perspective and
purpose, the continued struggle to reason for humanities existence remains as an undercurrent in all
texts. This search for meaning, which has been explored by several composers, has manifested into,
and is representative of the directionless state of humanity, and struggle in identifying our own
identities. Thus, texts of the postmodern era expose and question the unstable ontological grounds that
humanity is founded upon. Jean Luc Godard French New Wave Film, A Bout De Souffle (1960)

Slaughterhouse 5 (1972) uses a non linear plot to communicate how we are forever incarnated in the

interconnectedness and solidarity humanity, while Barry Jenkin s film, Moonlight (2016) raises

mats, hammocks, cradles, baskets for transportation, storage, cooking, and winnowing, fish and game

products were gathered from animals and vegetables, such as rabbit, dog, bison, human, insect larvae,
cotton, flax, hemp, palm, willow, yucca, and grasses. Sandals were the standard footgear. They were
made of yucca and apocynum until the Pueblo Period and the advent of cotton. These people were
heavily dependent on weaving for almost every aspect of their lives. Without weaving, they could not

Before the expansion of weaving, life was extremely demanding and laborious for Southwestern

is that the amount of insurance that is paid to the insured in the event of accidental death is

Also, an accidental death policy has limitations that are typically not included with a standard life

such as three months after an accident to receive benefits. Another limitation is that if death occurs, it
must have been the result of the injuries that were suffered in an accident. Accidental death policies

Deep in the overgrown woods of the Ebony Forest, where the trees are as dark as the night sky
currently above it, a small light flickers into the shadows as a lone figure sits down in the dirt, his back
to a tree, with a small contraption that produces a small flame from the end. The figure pulls the hood
of his cobalt blue robe down a little further as a strong gust of wind blows by; not only causing him to
shiver, but for his small flame to go out as well. Letting out a small gasp, he clicks a button on the side
of his strange device a few times, making it produce a few sparks, but no flame. He looks down at the
pile of sticks and dead leaves he was trying to light before clenching his fist around the contraption
and throwing it into the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That is when he finally finds a page he feels that he can decipher, which he proceeds to attempt. As the
horrible sketches, misplaced notes, and crazed rants begin to make sense, the gnome finally realizes
what he holds. A spellbook! What in the names of the gods is this doing out here? The page begins to
blend together as he slowly begins to understand it all at once, and the more it makes sense, the more
he feels an indescribable power growing inside him. The young gnome holds his hand up and shadows
the sketch on the page as he tries to replicate the gesture of

Essay On The Age Of Wordsworth
The Age of Wordsworth (1798 1832) is considered to have begun with the joint publication of Lyrical
Ballads by the Lake Poets , William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge. The poetry of this age
witnessed altering of the theme from public and impersonal to subjective. Common people and
common things were given the most importance. Depiction of countryside, rural life, pastoral life and
Nature was common. The subject of the poetry switched from facts, reasons to the world of
imagination, passion, and senses. Imagination is the soul of romantic poetry. Poets employed it to
experience transcendentalism and spirituality. Emotions were the bed rock of romanticism. It took
over reason and logic. Poets talked about the elementary passions of human beings, derived through
the senses eyes, nose, ears. It was marked with super naturalism and was devoid of materialism. They
had a vision of the mystic and mysterious forces whom they called the divine. To complement the
subject of poetry, the language used by the poets was simple and rustic, the one that is spoken by
common people. There was no stereotypical and conventional diction. Poets used various forms of
meter. Rhyme and rhythm wasn t their actual concern, expressing the emotions and ... Show more

The influence of these early surroundings was, as he later said, profound and lasting. The rough,
rugged and simple peasants were types of homely virtues of manhood and womanhood untained by
contact with the corruptions of civilization. As he spent most of his boyhood with them, he learned
faith in humanity and reverence for the elemental things of life. This justifies the reason behind him
being the greatest interpreter of the Natural life. His love and knowledge for the Nature is boundless.
However, he is no less a poet of men as he gave exceptional significance to the feelings, emotions and
passions of human beings in his

Present Day Protest Summary
Tufekci uses different strategies to convince her audience that present day protest, no longer has the
same effect they did before social media. She proposes this theory by stating that social media has
changed the game for protest. Tufekci gives examples of different type of protest throughout American
history to show the effect it has on society. For example, the Women March of 2017, March on
Washington of 1963, Antiwar Protest 2003, and the Tea Party protest of 2009. All these protests
impacted America in different ways. Tufekci was able to grasp her audience attention by appealing to
nature and authority. Tufekci is a writer who emphasizes on the effect technology has on politics and
society The protests in American all had a different

Speech On Population Control
Population control is at its highest demand in all of history. We have a growing population and limited
resources. Droughts, oil shortage, artificial food to keep up are just a few to name. Scientist debate
whether we will be able to civilize onto another planet in our future. While moving to a new planet is
a great idea, I think it s a better idea to control the growth of civilization and the consumption of our
resources on our own planet first. Besides, who needs seven kids in their family anyway? Why do we
need to keep people who have lost all quality of life alive, while they continue to use up resources?
We have limited resources and an over populated planet that shows no sign of slowing down. While
Deforestation has slowed down, we are still burning through our tress too fast for our planet to keep
up. We have mass agriculture growth, but our food is grown with chemicals that are being found to
create more problems than we can keep up with. We ve had several different droughts all over the
world and some places still don t even have clean water access. We seem to continue to find ways to
slow down our own destruction, but these solutions seem to only make matters worse in the long run.
We are an unstable planet that fixes one problem by creating a new one. We have too many people on
this planet that take more than the earth must offer and eventually our planet will no longer be able to
provide and we are not yet to the point where we can pick up and move on to the

Bealtaine Research Paper
The Festival of Bealtaine, also known as May Day, marks the beginning of the summer. It
encompasses the sunset of April 30th, which is May Eve, to the sunset of May 1st, which is the actual
May Day. The most significant time of this festival is between dawn and sunrise. It is a key element of
the annual cycle and is one of four of the True Quarters, which also includes Samhain, Saint Brigid s
Day, and Lúnasa. The cyclic nature of Bealtaine connects to both the daily cycle and the life cycle,
which highlights how cycles are central elements in one s life. The daily cycle of waking up and
sleeping can be extended into the annual cycle of the seasons, which then can be further amplified into
the cycle of life and death. Bealtaine is a crucial marker in the year that serves as the start of not only
summer, but as a predictor of the rest of the year. It has a complex integration of ritual, superstition,
and the belief in the Otherworld. Through the many customs of ... Show more content on

People often took many safety precautions to ensure that the fairies would not bother them, such as
carrying around iron. It also seems as if the people truly did believe that they had the ability to affect
whether or not they found danger on May Day. One strikingly disturbing example happened on May
Eve, 1858. A grave was discovered to have been disturbed. Within the grave, the rotting body had all
of his fat stolen from him. Eventually it was concluded that the superstitious amongst the peasantry
imagine that the possession of a candle made from the lard of a corpse furtively abstracted from a
cemetery is a safe guard against all dangers. From the desperate measure that the people who stole the
corpse s lard took, it is evident that they truly believed in the safety that the lard would

  • 2. Pros And Cons Of Same Sex Marriage In Australia There are many articles written about the debate of same sex marriage with many varying opinions on whether it is a good thing or a bad thing. Everyone has their own opinion about same sex marriage. But they don t seem to understand how many people it will effect in Australia if it s a majority No vote. An article called Census: Same Sex Couples Still A Statistically Small Percent Of Australians . The article states that 40% 50% of the population is gay. Which means of a population of nearly 24.5 million people roughly half is gay. So why not allow gay marriage to happen here in Australia? There is already so many countries that have already allowed it to happen in their country in the last 20 years. There are many examples of LGBTIQ in books, movies, TV shows and with Celebrities. But guess what they are accepted by their fans, and their peers without a second thought. Some examples are; in The mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare she wrote not one but two characters who are apart of the LGBTIQ community and both characters aren t in the background but are two of the many main characters in the series. These characters are Magnus Bane who holds a very important position through the series being the high warlock of Brooklyn and all, and Alec Lightwood, who is very important to the series being amazing with a bow and arrow and being a Shadowhunter. • 3. Putin s Power Of Power It seems that Putin has been able to build up his power in a variety of ways throughout his political career. Even throughout power struggles, Putin had been able to prevail. What does Putin have to attribute to his rise in power, was it luck or strategy? Well according to the rhetoric of Gerschewski, there isn t simply one solid reason or force behind the stability of an autocratic regime. Gerschewski wrote, Today s autocracies cannot rely (at least in the long term) entirely on their abuse of power in a strictly hierarchal, pyramid shaped political order as the unconstrained tyrants of the past from whom all of the power is derived might have done (Gerschewski, 2013, pg. 7). Moreover, Gerschewksi suggests that autocracies rely on three pillars rather than one sole concept. The three pillars include, Legitimation, Repression, and Co optation. Within the article he placed emphasis on observing three processes that take place within and between the pillars in an effort to properly explain the stabilization processes (Gerschewski, 2013, pg. 12). The two pillars that seem to be the strongest in the case of Russia s regime, are repression and co optation. The weakest pillar, hence would be legitimation. This isn t to say that legitimation wasn t or isn t at play. As had been mentioned previously, the pillars within the stabilization process are built over time, and include three processes necessary for observation. Legitimation serves the function of gaining support ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Analysis Of Revolutionary Mothers Revolutionary Mothers Revolutionary Mothers: Women in the Struggle for America s Independence. By Carol Berkin. 2005. P. 194. As we study the Revolutionary War we tend to think of the men that revolted, fought, and petitioned, but have we ever thought about what the women did during the war? In Revolutionary Mothers: Women in the Struggle for America s Independence, we get a chance to see the women s side of the war and what they did during this troubling time. Carol Berkin shows us what each race and class of women went through and their contributions during the war with well researched information and her own techniques. The writing of Revolutionary Mothers requires many sources to help emphasize the importance of its content, and Carol Berkin did just that. When reading Revolutionary Mothers you begin to see quotes and references from many sources included in each chapter. The sources that Carol Berkin used to write the book include journals, diaries, articles and newspapers, letters, and other books. These sources are about both women in during the colonial and Revolutionary times and the Revolutionary war in general. Carol Berkin did an exquisite job researching for her book, often citing at least twelve reliable sources for each chapter. Though she used many sources for writing her book, she did not use very many maps or pictures. She placed an illustration, depicting each topic, at the beginning of every chapter, with no maps, pictures, or other illustrations. Although she used few pictures or maps, she captured the reader s imagination by her depictive descriptions making her book seem to be a short historical fiction novel telling the journeys that different women took in the Revolutionary War era, making it unnecessary to use abundance of pictures, maps, or illustrations. Carol Berkin s experience of writing and knowledge of history show through writing in Revolutionary Mothers. Berkin has been the author and editor of many ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Introduction This essay endeavours to not only discuss the elements of the conflict process model such as the reasons or sources that can trigger conflict in an organisational setting, with particular reference to behavioural factors and what positive and negative impacts that can thus be resulted, but will also discuss the different behavioural characteristics and mechanisms that various cultural backgrounds reveal in order to manage conflict. It will further evaluate the consequences and drawbacks from stereotyping particular cultural groups and analyse the role and responsibility of the management in understanding the cause of conflicts and specifically cross cultural conflict and how they could be solved effectively. In most cases, employees are engaged in ensuring they are viewed as the better ones in any undertaking in the organisation. Research indicates that relationship conflict have more negative effects than task conflict. The fact that relationship conflicts result in the use of emotions in coming up with solutions makes it more stressful to the employees. Behavioural factors that can manifest conflict Organisational conflicts are characterised by a variety of factors and in particular behavioural. These may take different forms depending on the nature in which they are portrayed. They could either be written, oral or physical. The oral behaviour that manifests conflict in the organisation involves a case where the employees engage in exchange of unpleasant words that display the existence of the conflict. Secondly, the conflict may be in the form of written documents that bear evidence of conflict (Popejoy 2002). Such documents may be in form of e mails that are exchanged between the parties in conflict in the organisation. Finally, the conflict in the organisation may be portrayed in terms of physical confrontation among the employees and this is the highest limit that the conflict in the organisation can be portrayed through (Popejoy 2002). Ruling out human meddling is crucial because one must make credible the incredible threat of suicide. Dr. Strangelove explains this logic: President Merkin Muffley: But, how is it possible for this thing to be triggered automatically, and at the same time impossible to untrigger? (54:42) Strangelove: Mr. President, it is not only possible, it is essential. That is the whole idea of this machine, you know. Deterrence is the art of producing in the mind of the enemy ... the fearto attack. And so, because of the automated and irrevocable decision making process which rules out human meddling, the doomsday machine is terrifying. It s simple to understand. Basically, the group can be paired off into Rap Monster and V, Suga and Jungkook, and J Hope and Jimin. Jin does not have a partner in this. He is further differentiated from the group in this way, and in the video he still has his recording motif, as well as looking into the camera. The video starts with V falling backwards into dark water. The water acts as a mirror in this case, showing him fall from one side of the mirror into the other. There are shots of him struggling underwater throughout the video as well. After that, Rap Monster is featured visiting the train tracks where the group was seen together. In this video, his would be considered the present time. When he opens the door to one of the train cars, he starts a flashback to times when the group was having fun. Hera had seen how her son looked deformed so she threw him into the sea where a Sea God caught him and took care of him. • 13. Turbulent Flow Trial in Pipe Flow Experiment For experiment 100 (pipe flow) there were some operational errors that took place during the lab period. There was one accident that involved the safety officer and the cross trainer that was there for the first lab period. Both the cross trainer and the safety officer were near the viscometer as they were both operating it. When the cross trainer finished utilizing the suction bulb, he was instructed by the team leader to begin recoding the density measurements. The cross trainer reached into the water bath picking up a volumetric flask by its cap, this caused the flask to slip from its cap and fall to the table. While this was happening, the safety officer was crouched near the cross trainer with a stopwatch trying to record the liquids efflux time. As the flask was falling the safety officer reached out to catch it and accidently cut his hand when the flask hit the table. Review attached accident report in the appendix for further detail of the accident. During the first lab period, after the accident was cleaned up, we were able to obtain four density and viscosity measurements for both water and propylene glycol at different temperatures. For the pipe flow experiments, we were able to complete eight trials for turbulent flow experiment, twenty trials for the pump performance experiment, and five trials for the laminar experiment. These trial numbers were short of our goal of finishing all of the trials for both turbulent laminar for that day because of the accident ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Binding to a substrate is very specific, and involves ionic interactions, H bonds and van der Waals forces. C. Only amino acids with polar side chains participate directly in catalysis (Cys, His, Ser, Asp, Glu and Lys). Some reactions require electron acceptors, and since no side chains are good electron acceptors coenzymes and cofactors are required for catalysis of some reactions. D. The treatise defines love as: an inborn suffering proceeding from the sight and immoderate thought upon the beauty of the other sex, for which cause above all other things one wishes to embrace the other and, by common assent, in this embrace to fulfill the commandments of love... (pg. 1). By framing love as an obsessional and insufferable experience, Capellanus renders those in the midst of worshiping a paramour from afar helpless until their lovesickness is consummated. In her eyes, she is absolved of blame; it was the literature which swept her into a world of love and passion (this would be equivalent to blaming alcohol for one s actions the other night at the bar). Francesca s subsequent telling of her placement in hell nonetheless evokes an interesting and varied interpretation. Despite her sin, perhaps she is hinting at the fact that her brief love affair will in reality last a lifetime since Paolo will always remain by her side in the second circle of The Inferno. Conversely, she may be suggesting that her moment of fulfilled passion and desire was well worth the eternal consequence of displacement and pain. At any rate, what remains true for Dante, and it is well represented in Inferno, is that the greater one s will is to sin, the deeper into the hellish abyss they fall. True, the majority of men who rule in a polity will not be of the most excellence, but they will be the second best excellence, which is those in possession of much moderation. By acting as a voice of reason amidst the excessive and defective, the middle can serve as a barrier against those who would overstep the mean, and therefore act against virtue. • 22. The Death Of A Partner Essay Disagreement Due To Death of a Partner The death of a partner is an occurrence that is usually anticipated by people forming a partnership. Much as it is anticipated, however, when it happens, it may bring about disagreements among the remaining partners. The nature in which the resulting disagreement is handled determines whether the remaining partners proceed on with the partnership or dissolve it and forget about it. Some deaths of partners may not result in much disagreement depending on the situation at hand. For instance, a partner may die with the partnership s unsettled debts. He may also die shortly after creating a situation that compromises the financial standing of the partnership to a good extent. When such an individual dies, there are a lot of conflicting ideas that may arise. In most partnership agreements, there usually are conditions indicating what should be done in the case of the death of a partner. These include giving the capital of the deceased individual to a named estate or buying the shares of the partner from the estate, such that the partnership does not have to be dissolved. INTRODUCTION The changing role of law and the need to relate with a transforming society and its citizens has led to a demand on decision making in political systems (Bijsterveld 2010). Due to the variance in the decision making of these systems, interest groups carry out their public affairs (PA) activities in a plethora of ways (Baumgartner 2007) as features such as type of political system, structure, accountability, dependency on interest groups, etcetera influence PA practices. This stems from the fact that issues that are significant in one political system might not be as significant in another (Lowery, Poppelaars and Berkhout ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... PA is however carried out in an unbiased and harmonious way as lobbyists work hand in hand with EU officials (Woll 2006, Mahoney 2008) and other interest groups, as the EU would rather grant access to a Europeanized voice when addressing issues. With regards to choice of policies to influence, interest groups in the US are more focused on influencing legislative matters rather than regulatory policies (Baumgartner 2007, Mahoney 2008) as they seeks to influence the decisions of the congress, the court or the administrative government (Hansford 2004). The EU is a regulatory regime, therefore, organized interest groups particularly business interests prefer to lobby regulatory processes to secure their individual and collective business interests (Levy and Prakash 2003). This is done because regulatory processes affect businesses and more often than not have policy outcomes (Baumgartner 2007). The level of dependence on organized civil societies (OCS) is another feature that influences the practice of PA. EU s dependence on OCS arises from their lack of resources both financial and human, to carry out their activities. The EU commission is highly short staffed, and in need of OCS to provide technical information and act as contributory agents (Greenwood 2007). Bell in 1997 is a lawsuit in which the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a Virginia law that offered the eugenic sterilization for individuals regarded genetically unfit. The Supreme Court s decision to uphold Virginia s statute regarding sterilization provided the basis for enactment of similar laws across the United States and subsequent sterilization of 65,000 Americans without their approval or that of their family members. Notably, the ruling of this case was based on the concept of feeblemindedness, which is no longer applicable in medical terminology. Actually, this case primarily involved state enforced eugenic sterilization for individuals considered feebleminded or genetically substandard in certain ways. The case provides considerable insights concerning eugenics and enforced sterilization in the United States and significant concerns on whether genetics should be used for any king of legal decision. • 32. Of Humanity In The Novel And Quentin Tarantino s Pulp... Textual form has changed throughout time to reflect different ideals, values and notions of human ontology in a world seemingly void of meaning. Throughout the 20th centaury, post modern artists have disrupted traditional paradigms of thinking that have governed our lives and forged out perceptions of selfhood and linear time. Emerging from the horror of world war II as well as the emptiness that accompanied it, composers were forced to contemplate upon the very meaning of human existence. And although composers since this time have varied with context, perspective and purpose, the continued struggle to reason for humanities existence remains as an undercurrent in all texts. This search for meaning, which has been explored by several composers, has manifested into, and is representative of the directionless state of humanity, and struggle in identifying our own identities. Thus, texts of the postmodern era expose and question the unstable ontological grounds that humanity is founded upon. Jean Luc Godard French New Wave Film, A Bout De Souffle (1960) questions whether our existence is validated by self, or recognition from others. Kurt Vonnegut s Slaughterhouse 5 (1972) uses a non linear plot to communicate how we are forever incarnated in the human figure to learn and to grow. The figure pulls the hood of his cobalt blue robe down a little further as a strong gust of wind blows by; not only causing him to shiver, but for his small flame to go out as well. Letting out a small gasp, he clicks a button on the side of his strange device a few times, making it produce a few sparks, but no flame. He looks down at the pile of sticks and dead leaves he was trying to light before clenching his fist around the contraption and throwing it into the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 45. Essay On The Age Of Wordsworth The Age of Wordsworth (1798 1832) is considered to have begun with the joint publication of Lyrical Ballads by the Lake Poets , William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge. The poetry of this age witnessed altering of the theme from public and impersonal to subjective. Common people and common things were given the most importance. Depiction of countryside, rural life, pastoral life and Nature was common. The subject of the poetry switched from facts, reasons to the world of imagination, passion, and senses. Imagination is the soul of romantic poetry. Poets employed it to experience transcendentalism and spirituality. Emotions were the bed rock of romanticism. It took over reason and logic. Poets talked about the elementary passions of human beings, derived through the senses eyes, nose, ears. It was marked with super naturalism and was devoid of materialism. They had a vision of the mystic and mysterious forces whom they called the divine. To complement the subject of poetry, the language used by the poets was simple and rustic, the one that is spoken by common people. There was no stereotypical and conventional diction. Poets used various forms of meter. Rhyme and rhythm wasn t their actual concern, expressing the emotions and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The influence of these early surroundings was, as he later said, profound and lasting. The rough, rugged and simple peasants were types of homely virtues of manhood and womanhood untained by contact with the corruptions of civilization. As he spent most of his boyhood with them, he learned faith in humanity and reverence for the elemental things of life. This justifies the reason behind him being the greatest interpreter of the Natural life. His love and knowledge for the Nature is boundless. • 47. Speech On Population Control Population control is at its highest demand in all of history. We have a growing population and limited resources. Droughts, oil shortage, artificial food to keep up are just a few to name. Scientist debate whether we will be able to civilize onto another planet in our future. While moving to a new planet is a great idea, I think it s a better idea to control the growth of civilization and the consumption of our resources on our own planet first. Besides, who needs seven kids in their family anyway? Why do we need to keep people who have lost all quality of life alive, while they continue to use up resources? We have limited resources and an over populated planet that shows no sign of slowing down. While Deforestation has slowed down, we are still burning through our tress too fast for our planet to keep up. We have mass agriculture growth, but our food is grown with chemicals that are being found to create more problems than we can keep up with. We ve had several different droughts all over the world and some places still don t even have clean water access. We seem to continue to find ways to slow down our own destruction, but these solutions seem to only make matters worse in the long run. We are an unstable planet that fixes one problem by creating a new one. We have too many people on this planet that take more than the earth must offer and eventually our planet will no longer be able to provide and we are not yet to the point where we can pick up and move on to the ... • 48. Bealtaine Research Paper The Festival of Bealtaine, also known as May Day, marks the beginning of the summer. It encompasses the sunset of April 30th, which is May Eve, to the sunset of May 1st, which is the actual May Day. The most significant time of this festival is between dawn and sunrise. It is a key element of the annual cycle and is one of four of the True Quarters, which also includes Samhain, Saint Brigid s Day, and Lúnasa. The cyclic nature of Bealtaine connects to both the daily cycle and the life cycle, which highlights how cycles are central elements in one s life. The daily cycle of waking up and sleeping can be extended into the annual cycle of the seasons, which then can be further amplified into the cycle of life and death. Bealtaine is a crucial marker in the year that serves as the start of not only summer, but as a predictor of the rest of the year. It has a complex integration of ritual, superstition, and the belief in the Otherworld. Through the many customs of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... People often took many safety precautions to ensure that the fairies would not bother them, such as carrying around iron. It also seems as if the people truly did believe that they had the ability to affect whether or not they found danger on May Day. One strikingly disturbing example happened on May Eve, 1858. A grave was discovered to have been disturbed. Within the grave, the rotting body had all of his fat stolen from him. Eventually it was concluded that the superstitious amongst the peasantry imagine that the possession of a candle made from the lard of a corpse furtively abstracted from a cemetery is a safe guard against all dangers. From the desperate measure that the people who stole the corpse s lard took, it is evident that they truly believed in the safety that the lard would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
