objective is to shut down the fires as quickly and safely as possible and to save anybody in

born into slavery. Although her real name was Isabella Baumfree, the rest of the world knows
her as Sojourner Truth. Throughout her childhood, she was traded and sold to several different
families, in which she was separated from her family. Her father was a slave that was captured
in Ghana and her mother descended from slaves, so it was typical for children of slaves to be
sold separately from their families. Originally, her family was owned by Colonel Hardenbergh,
but they were sold separately soon after his death. At the young age of nine, Truth was sold for
the very first time at an auction for a measly $100 to John Dumont. She spent a total of two years

The Revolutionary War of 1775 had many catalysts. The British government abusing its powers and
creating acts and laws disliked by the citizens of the thirteen colonies was one of the main causes
for the revolt. No taxation without representation , became one the the colonists forefront cries

On the 30th of January 1933 a genocide called the Holocaust started, where people who weren t
considered the perfect male or female were sent to concentration camps where they were made to
work hard and very little fed. They were also tortured, experimented on and killed.
The Holocaust was started by a man called Adolf Hitler who took over Germany and was against
Jews, disabled people, homosexuals, black people, homeless people and the mentally ill.
Although people call the camps concentration camps there were different types of camps like
extermination camps, labour camps, prisoner of war camps and transit camps. The first ever
concentration camp was called Dachau and the first people to be sent there were politicians who
were against Hitler s ways and people who were considered asocial , this included the disabled,
the homeless and the mentally ill. After Kristallnacht in 1938 the Germans started killing more
Jewish people which meant more Jews were sent to concentration camps. Jews were forced out of
their homes and had to live in ghettos and in some of the larger ones over 1000 people were sent

Life in the camps was horrible and very harsh. Prisoners were forced to work very hard and were
given hardly any food, they shared a crowded bunk with 3 or more people and there was no
