You had me at Hello: 7 mostly not crazy ideas to make sure you’re making the most of new supporter relationships
So you've got a bunch of new names from somewhere...Facebook, a contest, a progressive social action network, (ahem) Care2. Now what?
Well, you could start with "hello." Or, actually, anything. Kinda nuts, but sometimes it can take organizations too long to make any sort of proper introduction. And then your new joins are all like "who are these people?" when you finally send that renewal or call to action. But never fear! We have all kinds of smart, easy, and even automated tactics and techniques to let your newest list members know how glad you are to meet them.
Watch this AWESOME webinar with Madeline Stanionis (principal at M+R) and Justin Perkins (Senior Director Brand Engagement and Business Development at Care2) to learn about the best way to handle all of that acquisition you're bound to do in 2015. You'll learn about various case studies and walk away with cold-hard-tactics to make sure your ROI is astronomical (or at least, you know, positive).

Russian anarchist and anti-war movement in the third year of full-scale warAntti Rautiainen
Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war activities are presented, as well as strategies of support for political prisoners, and modest successes in supporting their struggles.

3. Everyone in the fundraising sector knows that
the end of the year is the biggest time for
charity. After all, they don’t call it “giving
season” for nothing. For many organizations the
final 2 months of the year can make or break the
fiscal year budget.
4.
5.
6. 1. MAP IT OUT.
Determine your budget, goals, timing and what
channels you will use to drive your campaign.
7. 2. TELL YOUR STORY.
Why is your organization special?
How is your work relevant to the donor’s life?
Are there ways that messages can be personalized
to reflect past actions or interests, geography, or
demographics?
What will donors get from you that they can’t get
anywhere else?
Why do they need to support you now?
8. 3. SEGMENT YOUR AUDIENCE.
Segment your audience to make sure you are
delivering the right message in the right form at
the right time to the right people. The message
must fit the audience, and not all of your donors
are the same.
9. 4. GIVE YOUR WEBSITE A CHECKUP!
Make sure anyone coming to your homepage
sees a clear ask and an easy and obvious path to
donate.
11. 6. GET OUT THERE!
Take some time to consider what channels you
are going to use to drive donations and how you
will integrate them. Be consistent with your
messaging!
14. 9. FOCUS ON LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIPS.
Now that you have all these fabulous new
donors, put them through a new donor
onboarding journey. Thank them — and thank
them promptly!
16. Thank YOU!
