10 facts about evolution
 First, we must remember or to know that evolution is a
theory in biology, it postulate that the various types of
plants, animals, and other living things on Earth have their
origin in other preexisting types and that the distinguishable
differences are due to modifications in successive
generations.
 I would like to emphasize the etymological origin of the
word "evolution" and that is why with google help I can
assure the following: The word evolution is a cultism taken
from the latin evolutio of the verb evolvere, derived from
the suffix ex- (cast out) and the verb volvere- (to spin);
meaning to go around outside. In biology this term is used
to describe the process of changing from a simple to a
more complex form.
 The theory of evolution is one of the fundamental keystones
of modern biological theory.
 We can find different types of evolution
1. Convergent evolution when the same adaptations
evolve independently, under similar selection
pressures.

2. Co-evolution when two species or groups of species
have evolved alongside each other where one adapts
to changes in the other.
3. Adaptive radiation when a species splits into a number
of new forms when a change in the environment
makes new resources available or creates new
environmental challenges.
 It took Charles Darwin, an English naturalist who laid down
a framework for the theory of evolution, 20 years to write
and publish his original book On the Origin of Species that
explained the process of evolution.7/21/2019
 Most scientists think that understanding evolution helps us
solve biological problems that impact our lives. There are
excellent examples of this in the field of medicine. To
control hereditary diseases in people, researchers study the
evolutionary histories of the disease-causing genes. In these
ways, a knowledge of evolution can improve the quality of
human life.
 This powerful explanatory and predictive theory has become
the central organizing principle of modern biology as I said
before; provide a unifying explanation for the diversity of
life on Earth.

 60,000 years ago, as humans moved away from Africa and
Ecuador, they began to develop certain variations in skin
tone, hair texture and facial features. It is said that the first
humans had thick bones to deal with severe climates.
Starting 50,000 years ago, our bones became smaller and
weaker as we did less physically demanding jobs.
 The size of the brain tripled in the course of human
evolution. Mainly due to the dramatic climate change and
our requirements to process new unknown terrains. The task
of the human being has always been to survive and over
time has been creating ways, tools to achieve it, that is a
very clear evolution that without a doubt can be both
positive and also the opposite.
 And to conclude this curious fact that I call my attention,
scientists agree that the "wisdom teeth" are remnants of
DNA from when humans first ate a diet of plants. They
thought the same thing about the appendix for a long time,
but thanks to the passage of time, technological advances,
their perspective has changed, now it is stated that it is not
useless since it is a "safe house" for the beneficial bacteria
that live in the human intestine.
