1. initial plans sf 2017
- 2. My initial thoughts of the brief which we have been set is that I am impressed with the kind of video which we have to make as I thought that we would have to make a quite boring video, also I quite liked the aspect of making the short film around the aspect of time, in my opinion I could make a short film which involves the main character which I have in the video I could have them stay still and move in normal speed and then have the background time-lapse with people walking and things moving around in the background. I think I am some what good at recording the actual video as I know the main functions of a camera, but I may need to learn new ways to use the camera if I am planning on making the idea which I have thought of, also I feel like I am quite good at editing as I can make certain effects while the video going on but at the same time if I where to add any other effects I would have to find tutorials on the internet as I couldn’t make any effects from scratch, due to me rarely using any kind of video editing programs.

This is my final idea for my short film, I chose this because it is an idea which I haven’t seen before in any movie I have watched, also with this idea it isn’t as complicated as any other idea which I had before hand, and also with this idea I will only need to have character throughout the short film and also I can use a green screen to shoot the characters movement as if I where to make the character move in slow motion it would look very glitchy as with the background being a time lapse it won’t look right.
- 6. Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood I don’t think that I have many repetition throughout the images which I have collected, besides some of the film which are all based around time and time travel as the brief which had been set made us make the short film around time, as well there is the two images next to each other which are both time lapses which I am going to try and put into my short film because I want the surroundings to go fast and the main person to be in the same speed as normal because the surroundings are going to rewind and fast forward before your eyes. How will your mood board influence your final product? My mood board will influence my final product as I have taken inspiration from a few of the films which I have put into the mood board for my other ideas mainly edge of tomorrow as he can only go forth when he dies and then continues to die until he gets the right thing which he needs to do to beat the enemies which are in the film, which I very similar to the other film which I have taken inspiration from which would be happy death day where she keeps of dying until she finds out who her killer is.

A technique which I will need to learn will be to make a good time- lapse of people walking across the screen, as I don’t know how to make it look good also I may need to find out how to make it look like the main character will be moving in normal speed compared to the rest of the background. I may also need to maybe go into town for the recording of my short film as I need there to be a hugely populated area where there are cars and people constantly going past during the recording section, and in my short film I only need one main character through out it as they do not interact with the surroundings as they are in fast forward or rewind. Also instead of having the person there to film it I could use the green screen which would make it so that I could have them move a any speed that they wanted to. Also another area which I could use would be to film outside of college as there are people constantly walking and cars going pass throughout the day.
