Equipment Why I chose this How will I use it
Camera The school cameras are
of suitable quality for
what I need to do,
anything else would be
unnecessary.
I will need this for
different camera angles
and shots that I need to
get.
Tripod Holding the camera in
my hand would likely be
shaky and not give the
effect I want.
The camera must sit on
the tripod to keep the
shots still.
SD Card and Reader I need to storethe
footage of my film
somewhere.
I need to insertit into
the camera and record
my footageonto it, then
I will plug it into the
computer to start
editing.
Headphones I choseto use
headphones so that I can
edit properly and
without distraction.
I will use the headphones
to listen to audio of my
film, it will allow my
editing to be the best of
its ability.
Computer / Software I need to usea computer
and softwareto get my
editing done, without
this equipment it would
be nearly impossibleto
complete the task of
creating a film of my
own.
I will use a computer to
run softwaresuch as
Premier Pro, Photoshop
and Outlook. I will use
many more Adobe
products to complete
this task. I will need
softwareto deal with
audio, video and then
compiling it all together.
My choices of these will
probably be Adobe
Audition for audio and
Premier Pro for the main
editing.
Stock Footage I might need somestock
footage justto add to
the film, it usually adds
good effects.
I will import stock
footage that I find on the
internet to give the best
possibleproductI can.
Effects I will be using both visual
and audio effects, this
will help me achieve the
final productthat I am
looking for.
Special effects can be
implemented through
the editing software, I
might use some external
ones from the internet
too.
Props I have chosen to use
props to add to the
authenticity of my film, I
will use different clothing
and other props to make
surethat my film comes
across as realistic as that
is whatI am aiming for.
I will need to talk to
actors and see if they
have suitable clothing
and if not I can arrange
different props that I
might need. I will usethe
props to create desired
effects in scenes.
Music There might be some
types scenes that don’t
use much dialogue and
including silence is just
awkward usually, a bit of
mellow background
music goes a long way
usually.
I will include the music
through the editing
software,
Actors
The main actor in my film will be played by Matthew
Ballantine, he will play Ricky the lost boy. I think he fits
this roll well as he is a good actor and will be able to get
into roll well, it was difficult finding someone who would
fit this role well, he is the main character and other ones
aren’t as important so I’m not sure who I’m going to use.
I used him for my photoshoot before and he was good
so I think it is a safe assumption he will work well for this
unit.

footage comes
with a

I will need to

would leave
me with legal

What? Impact on Film Legal Impact
Online Showing If my film is going to
be used on
shortoftheweek
there are some rules
that have to be
followed, I cannot
include anything
copyrighted, it
cannot be too long
and my film needs to
be completely
copyright free for
them to use.
If these rules are not
followed I won’t be
featured and I could
get copyright striked,
I might have to pay a
fine and not be able
to go on
shortoftheweek.
Content Making sure nothing
that is said or done in
my film can be seen
as controversial or
offensive is a must,
my film likely doesn’t
include anything of
this nature but as it is
about abuse then
maybe something
will come up so I
have to be careful.
Anything that
offends the audience
would get me
disqualified from
shortoftheweek, I
will have to make
sure that everything
is okay with the
audience and maybe
if there is sensitive
viewers I must watch
what is said and
done.
Contingency Plan
What? Risk Contingency
Actor unable to
attend.
If my actor cannot
show for the shoot, I
will not have
anything to film, this
would be
detrimental.
I would either have
to reschedule or find
a new actor but
ideally, I’d prefer
rescheduling but
depends how long
the actor would be
out for.
Location unavailable If a planned scene is
blocked off or private
property, I will not be
able to shoot, that
would be extremely
bad for me.
Nothing can really be
done, I could ask if I
can use the location
again if it is private
but likely we would
have to relocate.
Launch Dates
I have decided it would be best to launch the film around July time, it
ties in well with my theme in the sense of the main part being a
chase, action usually releases in the summer and I believe this would
link well.
For my budget I am aiming for around the £100 mark, there is a lot of
small things that will add up. With costumes such as outfits for
policemen or old ragged clothes for the main character, this would
already come to quite a large total. If I am out shooting for a whole
day I’d likely buy lunch for everyone on the team thanking them for
their work, this would still add to the total no matter how
insignificant. I will not be able to shoot the whole film in a single day
probably and would maybe need more than one lunch for everyone.
Lighting and possibly renting out some locations would also add to
the cost. I believe this should all total to just around the £100 mark.
