PDP is a process not an outcome
what you will learn - intention to become more effective, independent, confident and  self directed learners. to understand how you are learning and how that learning  relates to a wider context. to improve your skills for study and career management. to be able to articulate personal goals and evaluate progress  towards your achievement. to encourage a positive attitude to learning throughout life.
how you will learn - reflection - what is it you have just done? What were you trying to do? did it work? what next?  and always why. experimenting - try something - you never know. learning - what do you want to learn today. work - work makes work makes work. looking - at the work of others - judge yourself.
why PDP is important - employees flexibility, adaptability and the capacity to cope and manage  change. self motivation and drive. analytical ability and decision making. communication and interpersonal skills. teamworking ability and skills.
aims to encourage a linked, coherent and holistic approach to the  acquisition of knowledge, skills and experience. to reflect critically on your performance through evaluation to recognise and evidence your own learning and therefore the progress you are making  to maximise your learning opportunities to support extra-curricular work, community work or work  placement
learning outcomes recognise the importance of and the link between all  experiences and aspects of study. reflect critically and record this through written evidence in  your progress file recognise and record achievement and progress in your learning and development  identify and exploit opportunities for learning and personal  development across a broad context  provide a record of experiences related to your learning

  • 3. PDP is a process not an outcome
  • 4. what you will learn - intention to become more effective, independent, confident and self directed learners. to understand how you are learning and how that learning relates to a wider context. to improve your skills for study and career management. to be able to articulate personal goals and evaluate progress towards your achievement. to encourage a positive attitude to learning throughout life.
  • 5. how you will learn - reflection - what is it you have just done? What were you trying to do? did it work? what next? and always why. experimenting - try something - you never know. learning - what do you want to learn today. work - work makes work makes work. looking - at the work of others - judge yourself.
  • 6. why PDP is important - employees flexibility, adaptability and the capacity to cope and manage change. self motivation and drive. analytical ability and decision making. communication and interpersonal skills. teamworking ability and skills.
  • 7. aims to encourage a linked, coherent and holistic approach to the acquisition of knowledge, skills and experience. to reflect critically on your performance through evaluation to recognise and evidence your own learning and therefore the progress you are making to maximise your learning opportunities to support extra-curricular work, community work or work placement
  • 8. learning outcomes recognise the importance of and the link between all experiences and aspects of study. reflect critically and record this through written evidence in your progress file recognise and record achievement and progress in your learning and development identify and exploit opportunities for learning and personal development across a broad context provide a record of experiences related to your learning
