The Sister Act, a musical theatre show, written by Cheri Steinkellner and Bill Steinkellner, was a hit
musical during the late two thousand, making all the way to Broadway. It has its roots in the era of
disco, with all types of different distinctions from modern types of music, and with its plot, it also
delves into the realm of hymns and old gospel music, which all culminates into a musical theatre
extravaganza.
It being a musical, makes it hard to distinguish one genre in particular, but the overlying theme seems
to be based on late 70 s disco (as that is the setting for the musical in the first place). The line up of
instruments were: two keyboardists, a trumpet, a clarinet, a saxophone, a flute, an electric bass, drums,
and a lot of vocalists. All the woodwinds and brass instruments were covered by one guy, and a lot
more additional instrumentation was covered by the keyboardist.
Their instrumentation in the play seemed mediocre initially, but after listening to how they were able
to cooperate with one another, to create harmonies sounding so consonant was incredibly interesting,
especially with vocalists thrown in. The voices mixing with the instruments and vice versa made it
sound almost angelical . The harmonies created were also very southern gospel sounding in certain
points in the musical.
The vocalists varied from scene to scene but in total, there seemed to be about 22 vocalists in all.

Desire to Study Industrial Engineering in Operations...
My undergraduate years as a mechanical major had successfully provided me a solid foundation in
technical areas and quantitative methods. I wish to further develop my skills and broaden my
knowledge in Industrial Engineering, particularly in the advanced studies based on Operations
Research Information Systems. By applying cross disciplinary approach in solving complex
engineering problems with specific technical aspects and through analysis of managerial and
economic factors, I will prepare myself to serve as an efficient industrial engineer or manager for
business in the global arena.

Kiran D Mali enhanced my knowledge in experiments. Working in a laboratory environment has
strengthened my concepts in engineering statistics and optimization. Evaluating of Risk Reliability of
a system, Using Analysis of Variance techniques to optimize the system performance has been a
strong value addition to me through this experience. I got a chance to intern with TATA Johnson
Controls Ltd, Pune an auto ancillary company which is into manufacturing seating systems. It was
during this six month internship period I gained invaluable exposure to industrial processes. I have led
projects in Supply Chain Management under the guidance of General Manager Operations. Rigorous
study and efforts in this direction with the application of optimization techniques enabled me to put
forward proposals using Value Analysis/Value Engineering process.. By using the data from SAP ERP
and thorough analysis using spreadsheets, I have arrived at both long term and short term proposals to
make sure maximum productivity and cost efficiency are achieved. The implementation culminated
with an overall reduction in the shift load besides significant cost saving.
The internship experience in a way further motivated me to work on industrial processes. After
graduation, I began working as a Business Analyst serving in Automotive Retail Industry (Hyundai).

I remember when she held me as a baby and calmed me down whenever I was troubled. She was my
family s rock and no one ever imagined losing her. The day she died was like our very own heaven
sent angel was taken away. But, the best moment was that my uncle had seen angels come into the
hospital room and take her soul with them. Angels that came to get my great grandmother was
clarification that she was going to a better place. So, she went gently into the good night. Another
great thing my family realizes is that she lives through me and that is the best thing to hear about your
great grandmother. This poem was truly relatable because my parents, and me presently did not want
her to die. Her time was finished, but eventually everyone accepted that and spoke of nothing but good
memories. The reader should be able to the poem in order to understand it and I believe I am able to
understand poems based on my relation to them. Poems do not necessarily have to have one meaning
either, but many will relate and compare to what the poem signifies. Majority of the time, there are
like minded individuals who interpret poems the same way and that is a wonderful thing. It s

How Did Joseph Stalin Conquer Poland
The devastating attack on Poland was a major factor that dictated the beginning of World War Two
between Germany, Britain, and France. When the Germans decided that they wanted to conquer
Poland, they knew that their actions would provoke the greater superpowers of Europe (Britain and
France), but they were more than ready to combat them. On the other hand, they were more worried
about what Russia s Joseph Stalin was capable of. Ironically, Russia was the one wanting peace when
Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vyacheslav Mikhaylovich Molotov approached German Foreign
Minister Joachim Von Ribbentrop under the direct orders of Stalin on August 23rd, 1939 and

This pact was meant to last for 10 years following the day that it was signed, but was violated by

Fascinated By Arbus
It is important to mention how some of the people that were photographed by Arbus are shown as
characters in the movie. The opening scene is about Diane wanting to photograph people at a nudist
camp, relating to real life photographs that she had taken of nudists. The whole film also makes a
point of acknowledging that Arbus wanted to get to know the subject and familiarise herself with the
people she was going to take a picture of. In the last scene she sits next to a woman who asks her if
she is going to take a picture of her and Diane says, not yet then asks, tell me a secret which shows
how she takes an interest into who they are as well as what they look like. Shainberg draws narrative
from her real life and uses it many times throughout, especially in the way that he includes the dwarfs
and giants as characters as they are some of the subjects in her photography. Also draws narrative in

In the film, Crash by Paul Higgins there is the incorporation of numerous perspectives and theories of
societal issues. The film brought up various issues we face in our world today such as racial
discrimination, stereotyping, and prejudice etc. One theory that is seen is the symbolic interaction
theory. There is the usage of different symbols in the film. Each character in the film comes from a
different culture; socioeconomic background etc. and they each have their own story. There are many
hidden messages in the film through the usage of symbols. The title of the film is Crash which can be
interpreted in many different ways. In the beginning of the film, I believed the title to just speak about
car collisions or accidents, but throughout the film you re able to see collisions between diverse ethnic
groups and socioeconomic status. There are also many different vehicles used in the films, which
could also be a symbol representing class and wealth. Ludacris s character named Anthony stated, You
don t have any idea why they put great big windows on buses, one reason only, to humiliate the people
of color riding on them. () In Anthony s perspective, riding a bus meant that you re poor and or part of
the minority population. At the end of the film when he actually rode a bus it allowed him to see that
