Mechanism For Melanocyte Apoptosis
There are no sufficient data about the definite mechanism for melanocyte apoptosis, but autoimmune
mechanism is thought to be stongly involved in vitiligo development, especially non segmental
vitiligo (Yang et al., 2015).
Cytokines such as IL 1, IFNγ or TNFα are paracrine inhibitors of melanocytes and can initiate
apoptosis. Increased TNFα protein and transcript levels in patients with vitiligo have been shown,
suggesting an early apoptosis of melanocytes. Apoptosis of melanocytes in vitiligo may also be due to
melanocyte specific antibodies (Laddha et al., 2013).
Moretti et al., used TUNEL assay and electron microscopy to confirm increase of apoptotic
keratinocytes in vitiligo skin biopsies (Diab et al., 2016).
7 Intrinsic theory: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While its pathological increase inhibits melanogenesis and induces melanocytorrhagy leading
eventually to development of vitiligo (Kumar and Parsad, 2012).
9 convergence theory:
This theory supposes the multifactorial origin of vitiligo. Many factors including stress, accumulation
of toxic compounds, infection, autoimmunity, mutations, altered cellular environment, and impaired
melanocytes migration can all contribute to pathogenesis (ChOudhary, 2015).
Clinical Manifestations of Vitiligo:
Vitiligo manifests as acquired single or multiple depigmented macules or patches that are chalk or
milk white in color, surrounded by normal, hyperpigmented or sometimes red inflammatory border
(Basha et al., 2015).
Depigmentation preferentially appears around body orifices such as eyes, mouth, nostril, genitalia and
umbilicus (Biswas et al., 2015). It may also involve the eyelids and hair. Lesions are well demarcated,
round, oval, or linear in shape. The borders are convex. Lesions enlarge centrifugally over time at an
unpredictable rate ranging from millimeters to centimeters in size. (Kumar, 2015).
Vora et al. (2014) noticed that the commonest site to be affected was lower limb, followed by upper
limb, face, trunk, and genitals. The commonest morphological pattern observed was vitiligo vulgaris,
other patterns noticed were acrofacial, segmental, universal, and mucosal. Bilateral distribution was a
common observation among patients and most of patients showed more than

The Problem With National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
The Real Awareness of Pink Ribbon Month: A critique of Robin Hilmantel s The Problem with
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Even though breast cancer is an important issue in today s
society and there are different organizations and charities that raise money for breast cancer; the pink
ribbon is something that causes a variety of problems. In her article The Problem with National Breast
Cancer Awareness Month, Robin Hilmantel makes an effective argument and uses pathos to reach out
to women by showing the perspective of a real person who was suffering from breast cancer, as well
as use symbolism to argue how the pink ribbon is being used in a misguided way. However, she does
not have a well developed thesis and her evidence does not present any citation or where she got the
information from which gives doubts on her credibility. Hilmantel begins her article with a statement
that catches the audience s attention and makes them think about the pink ribbon movement that
occurs every October; but she does not introduce her thesis until she mentions her argument which is
that there is a problem in how the pink ribbon is being represented in the National Breast Cancer
Awareness Month. She first starts with a story of a young woman named Kate Petrides, who did not
expect to ever have breast cancer at her age. Throughout the article Hilmantel talks about how the
awareness of breast cancer has had different responses to people. Hilmantel says that different

The Role Of Government In Indonesia
Two rounds of gubernatorial election occurred in February and April of 2017 to elect a governor of the
capital of Indonesia, Jakarta. Popular incumbent governor Basuki Tjahaja or Ahok was expected to
have a tight race. Unfortunately, after a series groundbreaking religious manipulations by the
organization the Islamic Defenders Front (F.P.I. in Bahasa), he decisively lost to Anies Baswedan.
Through usage of Ashok s double minority status as a Christian and ethnic chinese the F.P.I. managed
to convince voters he was not the right fit, even after his success in creating a more transparent budget
and improving infrastructure. The F.P.I persuaded people through flashy, deceitful, slogans accusations

A large part of the majority Muslim country was infuriated by his heinous actions, which were simply
lighthearted words with no malicious intent. The blasphemy case derailed his campaign for reelection
thus helping the F.P.I. s agenda for election of a Muslim governor. The emotional manipulation the
F.P.I. and Hitler participated in proved to be incredibly successful in their push for power. Next, Fidel
Castro attempted to appeal to the feelings of his people and Nikita Khrushchev to wage a nuclear war
against the United States of America. John F. Kennedy and Nikita Khrushchev failed to take him
seriously, seeming to conduct haphazard invasions. In turn, Castro worried he would lose Cuba and be
swept under their control. To prevent this he appealed to his people by saying, The result of aggression
against Cuba will be the start of a conflagration of incalculable consequences, and they will be
affected too, he told the Cuban people, It will no longer be a matter of them feasting on us. They will
get as good as they give. His words convinced the Cuban people that a suicide mission to destroy
America was in their best interest. Castro s arguments were not based on logic, rather, he cited the
preservation of communism as priority number one. Moreover, when the United States was alerted of
Cuba s possession of missiles, and threatened Cuba he refused back down. Castro even tried to bring

Character Analysis Of Franny And Zooey
In this novel about identity, we are reminded of how often we see ego, wishes, and desires. The
specific mundane details of objects, such as the medicine cabinet, Franny s purse, and other objects,
bring out characterization of both Franny and Zooey. The objects can signify how disorderly and
imperfect they both are, but are known to be these perfect people because they re really good at what
they do. Also, for how famous they are in their acting careers. Salinger uses objects as a metaphor for
an empty devoted life, dedicated to a spiritual meaning. When Lane meets up with Franny, he says that
he is the only one on the platform that really knew Franny s coat (7,Salinger). The coat reminded him
of when they first kissed and had a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

emotional and physical health related issues. These include, not being able to digest food on own,
people who have headaches, and who are trying to look acceptable by removing hair, needing support
to get through the day. We can see signs of spiritualism Zooey calling the bathroom his chapel
(114,Salinger). He says this because his mother comes into confess her worries, and Zooey explains
the real reason for Franny spiritual crisis. He acts like a priest in this way to his mom. This goes into
Zooey trying to get Franny to see life in a sacred way, but as Zooey explained it to his mom like
chicken soup, she says it s consecrated . When Zooey goes to Seymour and Buddy s room he reads the
quotes on the bulletin board of favorite books. In this room there are many quotes from the spiritual
classics the children thrived on. Books of literature and spirituality become a metaphor for the higher
life of imagination and seeking that the children shared. Zooey claims that Franny did not get The
Way of a Pilgrim from the library, but from Seymour s desk. This makes Franny upset because these
books containing a beautiful world that sustained her and her siblings at home are destroyed in college
by academic analysis. The telephone on Buddy s desk that belonged to

The Impact of Population Aging
CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
1.1: Study Background
The population aging, in other words, the greying of the population is major concern all over the
world. Many factors are leading to population aging, namely, unwillingness to marry, late marriage,
fertility control, low birth rate and longer life span. All these factors are also related to developing
status of the country. The more the country is developing, the more the factors have stronger effect on
aging population and the age population problems of the country is more serious.
If there is no solution for the population aging, many countries, especially developing countries, will
face the problems regarding old age care. The Government of the many countries will be facing huge

3) To understand the effect of Age Population in Singapore
4) To illustrate Singapore and Singaporean reaction to Age Population
5) To establish solutions to Age Population.
1.4: Research Structure
We will further discuss on Literature review and Research Methodology.
CHAPTER 2
2: LITERATURE REVIEW
2.1: Age Population
Age Population means the population is mainly with older aged group (65 years and over). In another
way, it was explained as age structure of a population shifted towards older ages, Gavrilov and
Heuveline: 2003. When the majority population of a country or a region age 65 and above, its
population is aging. Population aging is mainly favoured in industrialized countries, and slower in less
developed countries.
2.2: Population ratio in Singapore
According to Singapore Population Census 2010, Singapore s current population is recorded as 5.08
million at the end of June this year. Out of 5.08 million populations,

Rock Around The Clock Analysis
Bill Haley and The Comets, Rock Around the Clock
Bill Haley and The Comets Rock around the clock released in 1956 is a song written by Max
Freedman and James Myers, it was originally the B side to Thirteen women and gained little initial
interest. I will be exploring why Hayley s song is often cited as being the first rock and roll song and
why it captured young people s attention and imagination all around the world following the song
played over the end credits of MGM film Blackboard Jungle.
I will be evaluating major themes of the period: events, youth, race and technology to illustrate why I
think Haley has a definite contender for that title.
Upon its re release in March 1955 it became the first million selling single in Britain. (Classic tracks,
2008)
With reports in Britain of youngsters seen bopping ...a sight to horrify parents for the rest of the 50 s
(Beckett.F, Russell T, 2015)
Also, reports of rioting were reported when over excited kids ripped up their seats in excitement.
(Encyclopaedia of fifties music, 2002.)
However, there is much debate as to whether Haley did have the first rock and roll record as many
music historians cite Rocket 88 by Jackie Brenston and the Delta Cats as the first real rock and roll
record.
Indeed, Haley himself in 1952 recording the song Rocket 88. (Blues to rock, 1987)
So, who indeed lay can claim to the first rock and roll record?
It s hard to imagine the massive impact rock and roll did have looking at it 50

The Trading Dynamics of Institutional Investors
The fraction of corporate equity owned by institutional investors has grown considerably in the past
several decades; institutional holding of shares in U.S. equities has increased from approximately 16%
in 1965 to over 50% in 2010 (Federal Reserve Board, 2011). The fact that institutional investors are
managing such a sizable wealth invested in U.S. equity market has potential important role in term of
setting market prices. The growing impact of institutional investors on capital markets has induced to
increased research on the behavior of this group of investors both by academics and policy makers,
who tend to believe that institutional investor follow momentum based strategies, and often are
alleged to herdinglike behavior and following destabilizing trading strategies.
Recent studies investigating the behavior of institutional investors document three main results. First,
institutional investors are momentum traders (buying past winners and selling past losers) and are
more likely to follow past prices (citet*{grinblatt1995momentum}). Second, Institutional investors
sometimes trade in the same direction over a period of time or engage in herding behavior
(citet{wermers1999mutual}). Finally, the contemporaneous association between changes in quarterly
institutional holding and quarterly stock returns is much stronger than the feedback trading effect
(citet{nofsinger1999herding,wermers1999mutual}).
The previous studies on the behavior of institutional investors

The Challenges Of Philip II And Elizabeth I
Philip II and Elizabeth I are two of the most important figures during the 16th century. Philip played a
major role in Spain once his father (Charles V) stepped down while Elizabeth was a key figure in
England as she ruled and showed her feminism. Both figures had a rough path to lead as the subjects
were always a problem. To understand Philip carefully, the full history of his reign is crucial when
looking at Spain. Challenges were already given to him from his father and Philip had to learn fast. On
the other hand, Elizabeth had a rough childhood and she had to win over her subjects. Through critical
examination of primary sources, strategic characteristics will be presented while under what influence
they were in throughout their reign. Therefore, the opposite backgrounds to the throne, resistance from
subjects, and different strategies ultimately led these two together through war. Charles V stepped
down in 1556 and Philip II took over when he was young. Already, Philip was getting praise from
people in the administration. He had the characteristics of listening to advisors while still showing that
he was informed in the topic of discussion. Ambassador Suriano even said that in the king s eyes no
nation is superior to the Spaniards. It is among them that he lives, it is they that he consults, and it is
they that direct his policy; in all this he is acting quite contrary to the habit of his father. Philip is
different from his father because he

Analysis Of The Poem The Blazing Sun
Twinkle, twinkle little star, how you wonder what we are... The ghostly figures sing, standing in the
hall. Everything goes dark, but Daniel can hear voices talking. He is unable to make out what they are
saying though. It sounds like a different language of some kind. There is one word he is able to
recognize, Virgo . Hello, what is going on? Daniel says, hoping for some kind of answer. The chatter
of voices continues, as if Daniel said nothing.
When the blazing Sun is gone... Repeats as it did earlier. Daniel isn t able to move, almost as if he is
paralyzed. The chatter between the various entities continues, and increases in speed.
Daniel grunts, holding his head. What... He stopped briefly to sit up. What happened? Where am I?
Daniel got up and braced himself against the wall. He could barely see anything. He glanced to the
light fixture. Ah crap! He yelled, turning his head away quickly. He could hear the echo from the yell
as it went through the hallways. Daniel got himself on his feet, slightly dazed. He notices the dark
outlines of the boxes in the room. It appears as though Daniel is in another storage room.
Where am I? What s going on? Why is everything so dark, but the light fixtures so bright?
Daniel can hear people talking in the hallway outside of the room he is in. He makes his way out the
door, using the wall to brace himself. As he looks into the hallway, he can still hear the people talking,
but there doesn t appear to be anyone around. Everything

Analysis Of The Duchess Of Malfi And The Castle Of Malpe
I am sure the Beatles were not thinking about the Middle Ages when they wrote and sang Can t Buy
Me Love but this title is very fitting to Medieval Europe. Was it possible to choose who you loved?
Not if you were an aristocrat. During this period, marriages were arranged for a gain by both sides
usually in the form of property, wealth or power. Falling in love was not an option for most
individuals during this time; however, this does not mean that people did not fall in love commonly
with someone other than the intended spouse. Women s fate in marriage was usually determined by
their fathers with little or no regard for their own feelings. Furthermore, the church basically offered
women two options. They were to become celibate and lead the life of a nun or be committed to a
loveless marriage and procreate. As we witness in both The Duchess of Malfi and The Castle of
Otranto, marriage was not an ideal situation for women. Being forced into arranged marriages, neither
the bride nor the groom had the prerogative to fall in love naturally. Women were treated like objects
and were forced to marry men of all ages for a variety of different reasons. Society dictated that
people marry within their class. It was difficult to rebel against those ideals but there were a few brave
enough to do so. An example of this is shown in both The Duchess of Malfi and The Castle of Otranto
as they both show how women were treated like objects and how love is portrayed.

Power And Authority In Big Brother, By George Orwell
The opening paragraph for chapter 11 begins with the story written by George Orwell in 1949 about
how the government, Big Brother , came in between two lovers in order to restore the loyalty to the
state. While this is more extreme than any government we have today, it still shows that in order to
work, the government and politics need power and authority. Authority is power that is viewed as
legitimately exercised over an individual, while coercion is power that is viewed as unjustly used over
an individual. The state has a monopoly on violence and can use violence to punish those it sees fit.
The only way that the state could be punished is by the state s citizens, if enough of them see their
power as illegitimate. There are different types of authority that Max Weber identified; traditional,
rational legal, and charismatic. Traditional authority comes from patterns and customs that place
certain people in power. Rational legal authority is based on law and written rules. Charismatic
authority is based on loyalty and can have many problems when it comes to the transfer of leadership.
There are many types of authority, and there are also many types of government. There is a monarchy,
based on hereditary rule, and a democracy where citizens give the ruler power. There is also a
dictatorship where an individual is in charge of all, and a oligarchy where a group is in charge of all.
The U.S. political system is made up of Democrats and Republicans who represent different

Who Is The Blind Society In Raymond Carter s Cathedral
The Blind Society in Cathedral The blind truth, society is built on social norms and those that do not

whether we like it or not. Robert was judged on his disability, he stood out. Cathedral written by
raymond carter, shows how blind society is with Robert as there symbol. Society bends the visions of
how we see these people that stand out. Robert is judged, but what happens in the end is how society
also tends to react. Society has built preconceptions of people that stand out. Preconceptions of people
are built off some truth, but are not always correct. The mood is set with the first three words of the

you know you do not typically want to be around it. The awkwardness is not brought from Robert.
Robert is used to the awkward, hints dropped here and there. The calm, confident and collected
attitude of Robert suggests that he has been through something like this before. The main reason I
have chosen to write about this paper is because this theme just popped out, and I connected it to

Hidden Biases Of Good People
The ease of modern technology that lets people communicate globally, the access to extraordinary
mobility, and the well roundedness of people today has produced the biggest population in history that
prides itself in being egalitarian and fair minded. Psychologists have found evidence in recent studies
that, although people are not as outwardly racist and discriminatory as they were in the past centuries,
there is an underlying bias that can lead people to act in ways opposing their beliefs. In their book
Blindspot: Hidden Biases of Good people, psychologists Mahzarin Banaji and Anthony Greenwald
explore the ideas of unconscious identity, the judgment and treatment of others based on stereotypes
and the phenomenon of association, and our inability to simply stop being biased as opposed to
outsmarting it.
Children are taught that lying is bad, that telling the truth no matter the consequences will always
outweigh the instant benefit of telling a lie. So we grow up knowing that lying is bad and mostly avoid
lying; however, the psychologists assert that untruths that are somewhere on the spectrum between
totally unconscious and partly conscious, untruths that people tell not to others but at times to
themselves as well are not a rare occurrence (Banaji and Greenwald 21). This idea that our
unconscious mind can also have a completely different identity than the one that we outwardly portray
demonstrates our ability to have preferences and biases that can have detrimental

Nullification Crisis Significance
The Nullification Crisis was significant. The Nullification Crisis started in 1828 when the Congress
passed a very high tariff on manufactured goods from Europe. The Southerners started protesting
against tariffs and called to secede from the United States. Since anger of tariffs continued to build in
the South, the Congress passed a new, lower tariff in 1832, hoping that the protest in the South would
die down. However, the South Carolina legislature passed the Nullification act, an act refusing to pay
the illegal tariffs of 1828 and 1832. If the federal government interfered then the South will continue
calling for secession and the union will split apart. The significance of the Nullification Crisis was that
it caused President Jackson

Compare and Contrast the Economic Policies of Stalin and Mao.
Compare and contrast the economic policies of Stalin and Mao.
In Russia and China, both Stalin and Mao emerged as almost god like leaders despite making their
respective countries endure harsh programs of reform all economically, politically and socially. Mao
can be seen to have adopted the policies of Stalin, both inspired by the Marxist ideologies of Lenin.
Both Stalin and Mao recognized the economic backwardness of their respective countries and wanted
to use industrialization and collectivisation as the primary means of increasing their economies.
Although the original plans were very similar, the actual undertaking of the plans in addition to the
results and how it helped consolidate both leaders may slightly vary. Comparing and ... Show more

Farmers had to grow crops but also had to work to produce steel and iron in addition to infrastructure
projects. This policy led to deaths of millions of Chinese peasants and what came to be known as the
biggest famine in history. This was a huge failure for Mao, and threw off his position as leader.
Viewing both the leaders policies, solely on the basis of economic success, it can be said that Stalin s
policies were somewhat successful as Stalin took a backward country and turned it into a massive
urban working class with most of the country being electrified, which was not available before. In
addition, the policy of collectivisation fulfilled its goals as peasants were now paid wages and land
and machinery was collectively owned. Looking at the human cost of the policies, both
industrialization and collectivisation were hard on the population, creating poor working conditions
and famines throughout the nation. Stalin had also maintained his power throughout all of his
economic policies, unlike Mao who after the Great Leap Forward had to re establish himself through
the Cultural Revolutions. Despite Mao s fall, his economic policies were also to some extent,
successful as more than half of China became irrigated and the railway network virtually doubled. In
addition, Mao s reforms motivated the common people to work together and embody a Communist
worker, whereas Stalin s reforms produced Stakhovanites .

Cognitive And Socio Emotional Behavior Within The Classroom
An anticipation of uncertainty permeates the atmosphere as teachers evaluate their incoming student s
roosters. For the past four months, a physical metamorphosis has been occurring within the adolescent
body which may transpire by leaps and bound for some teens while for others the hypothalamus
slowly begins the journey out of hibernation. How will the physical development of these adolescents
alter the cognitive and socio emotional behavior within the classroom or their relationship with their
peers? By examining secular trends, the biological change known as puberty, the effect of early or
later timing of puberty, and the effect of technology as they relate to the physical development of
adolescents, educators can better understand their present student population engulfed in a cloud of
adolescent change. The phenomena of secular trends encompass increase body composition of
adolescents, reduction in the age of menarche, and the age adolescents reach biological maturity over
time (Malina, 2004, p. 3). Better nutrition, availability of heath care, prevention of infectious diseases,
increased socioeconomic factors, and genetics all contribute to many of these changing characterizes.
Typically puberty has been associated with middle school students, however the secular trend in
adolescent development has altered the terrain of the developing adolescent resulting in accelerated
maturation, larger body size, and noticeable physical change in appearance of this present

Disadvantages Of Federalism
Federalism is a type of government where the power is divided between local governments and federal
governments. The U.S., India, Australia, Russia and Brazil are some examples of federalist countries.
While this type of practice has its upsides, it has downsides as well as alternatives. One alternative to a
federal system would be a unitary system. While a federal government (such as the one in the U.S.)
divides power between national governments and local governments, a unitary government does not
and all the power is in the national government ex if the U.S. used a unitary government, marijuana
would either be legal or illegal in the whole country compared to in the current federal government
where various states have marijuana legalized such as; Washington, California, Colorado, and others
haven t legalized this drug; Texas, Idaho, Utah. A common misconception about a unitary government
is that it is a dictatorship, which is not the case at all, they can still be democracies like France,
question is would the people be more comfortable with all the power in the central government or a
division of that power to local or state governments. The balance of power between the federal and
state government has had some changes over time, with laws being put in place to ensure each has a
fair area to control. In the U.S., the Civil War took place because the south believed that the state had
the right to make its own decision on slavery while the north disagreed and

The film ‘There Will Be Blood’ by Thomas Anderson
The film There Will Be Blood by Thomas Anderson is very complex and a movie that makes you
think. In the beginning it was very confusing because you have to follow along with the characters
without words being said. Also, because of all the possible disorders that can be developing in the
characters of the movie. It is most recognized by the main character Daniel Plainview and all the
possible perspectives of interpretations (Analysis 0:20) this movie has. As I was watching this movie,
this would be more of a family study as its most important theme. (Analysis 0:36) This is because it
seems that Daniel is the father to all the characters and then they are in the end related to him in some
way. I believe that all the characters in the movie that were introduced were there to affect Daniel in
some way, be a contrast to him, or be a reflection of him.
Daniel Plainview is a man who has severe trust issues and is very troubled, but he wants to have a
family. His characteristics are so heavily shown though the movie that they end up being his major
flaws in the movie. These flaws are the things that end up destroying his connections to his family in
every aspect. Anything that was thrown at him in the movie, did not impact him enough to change
who he really was. For example, his son going deaf from the oil well explosion, which was an
explosion that sent H.W flying and ultimately hitting his head on the hard roof of the shack. All of this
happened because Daniel did not

The Cult Of True Womanhood In The 19th Century
Throughout all of history there has a been a very important question that many have tried to answer.
What is the role of women in society? In the 19th century, the Cult of Domesticity, also known as the
Cult of True Womanhood, was introduced as an attempt to answer this question. The Cult of True
Womanhood introduced a set of beliefs about gender roles that became so widely popular they could
be found in magazines, newspapers, and throughout all of the famous cultures. Our modern 21st
century still recognizes and practices the three factors of purity, submissiveness, and domesticity,
which were greatly upheld by the cult.
Purity is the impression that a True Woman Waits. For the duration of the 19th century a female was
not considered a woman without her sexual purity. Females were seen as fallen woman unworthy of
love and unfit for their company if they did not wait until marriage to have sexual intercourse. Young
ladies were told that they must guard their treasure (virginity) with their life. During this time, a
woman s only power was her sexual virtue for the man bears rule over his wife s person and conduct.
She bears rule over his inclinations: he governs by law; she by persuasion... [her] empire [is her]
softness, her commands are caresses . This notion created a new purity fetish in which Americans
began to talk about limbs instead of legs and white meat rather than breast meat. Women began
covering their furnisher legs with fabric so no one will be reminded of

My Experience Of Volunteering At A Local Nursing Home
I signed up to volunteer at a local nursing home. Because my father works there, I have been there
many times before. However, volunteering there was very new to me.
I had to understand the circumstances in which people were in and how interact with residents
respectfully and compassionately which provided opportunities for personal growth by practicing
integrity, justice and good stewardship. Though I was a bit hesitant, my experience has been very
positive. Just being a volunteer without any related experience or skills, I was unqualified to help and
many ways. The few menial tasks that I was able to do seemed to be met with much enthusiasm and
appreciation. Simply helping someone to their seat bringing them a cup of tea or ... Show more

Throughout their history, their mission was always to provide quality care with respect and dignity to
the elderly.
I had my moments of success and happiness when I was able to help someone along and see how
appreciative they were. There were also times that were saddening and uncomfortable. When visiting
rooms, I did encounter people who were losing grip on their mental and physical abilities. I felt a
heaviness because even though they were taken care of, there wasn t that could be done to make them
better. It was inspiring seeing nurses and family members continuing to care for them and keep
dignity.
I do believe my action had an impact on the residents. When assisting with activities for the residents,
we were able to spend less time setting up less time residents needed to just sit and wait for the
activity to being. The impact made was I was able to get services to the residents (who can and do get
impatient when waiting to play bingo.) I also think that simple gestures of kindness were enough to
brighten someone s day which in and of itself makes it worthwhile.
From this understanding, we as a people have a responsibility to unite in the pursuit of justice in order
to make all voices heard and recognize those who are in the greatest need. Practice of these teachings
would undoubtedly promote the common good. When seeking out suffering and seeing to it that
injustice is overcome

True Despair Short Story
True Despair
Four years ago today was his first time feeling true happiness. Now the day reminds him of how badly
he messed up one year ago. Just one wrong turn led to a life of despair.
It was his last time ever experiencing true happiness. Four years ago, Jeff was still in college when he
met the girl of his dreams, or so he thought. Her name was Jessica. Jess was a quiet girl, but one day
in the hall Jess bumped into Jeff and after that, it was love at first sight, though the both of them were
too shy to say anything at first, they both knew from a spark in their eyes that they were destined to be
together in someway.
Over a year both Jess and Jeff were both going about their lives as average everyday students in
college. Jeff attending his classes, doing his chores around his dorm, and keeping up with his family
as they lived far from the college he was attending.Jess usually hanging with her friends, keeping up
with class work and playing video games online. They only saw each other in the hall every now and
then until, by some random chance of fate, they both chose the same class and were placed together,
and that s when Jess thought that she had the courage to tell him how she really felt but she was too
shy, so things didn t move that fast.
Weeks passed until one day Jess came to school but something was different about her. Most didn t
notice at first, but Jeff noticed right away. Her hair was a bright crimson red color. After seeing that,
something made him immediately go speak to her. He asked her out and she said that she would have
a response after class. Knowing she would say yes, she first wanted to tell her friends about what had
happened. Most of her friends all told her that this could mean the rest of her life, but she knew she
waited an entire year, so she thought she was ready. In the meantime, Jeff was talking to his friends
about if he really should have asked her out, without even knowing a thing past her name. Doubts
filled his mind as more time passed by. He lays down in his dorm to calm himself down until he gets a
text from an unknown number, saying, Meet me behind the music building at sunset. Not knowing
who sent the text, Jeff tells his friends to come with him as he goes to

techniques can help the web host to increase the security of both the web server and clients that are

The security can also be bolstered by hiring alleged attackers that can point out the weaknesses that
are exploited and then these weaknesses can be strengthened by the security professionals.
There are also various techniques that can stop the attacker to access the LAN router so that there is
not attack initiated from the Wi Fi of a client computer. The LAN router in public places are not
extensively secure and the attackers either use these networks to initiate attack on others so that they
cannot be traced or they can simply attack the users on this network to leak information that is
important.
The protection of HTTPS connection should also be upgraded or security add ons should be created to
protect the integrity of the browser so that the client cannot be affected by the malicious JavaScript
that is sent by the attacker. There are browsers like Chrome and Mozilla which are not affected from
the attack as they have extensively worked together to ensure that security is not penetrated or
bypassed by the attacker. The other companies should also work in cooperation with each other to
ensure that their security is paramount and that attackers are minimised.
The JavaScript sends requests to a web server that is created by the attacker to capture the information

My Worst Vacation Ever We all know what it s like to go on a vacation and have an amazing time, but

Analysis Of The Movie Invincible
In the movie Invincible, Mark Wahlberg plays the role as Vince Papale, and his dream is to be able to
play for the Philadelphia Eagles. Vince works as a 30 year old substitute teacher who gets fired as the
movie goes on due to budget cuts. Not only has he lost his job, but he losses his wife also because she
said he would never amount to anything and asks for a divorce soon after. Vince was also a bartender
at the time. While Vince was bartending, the Philadelphia Eagles new head coach Dick Vermiel
announces open tryouts for the team and all of Vince s friends try to convince him to attend. After
Vince listens to all of his friends, who are all rabid Eagles fans, encourage him to try out, the message
his wife left him and his father saying he could not do it, he finally has enough motivation to go. Out
of everyone, Vince was the most surprised as he makes it past the first cuts at training camp. As he
passes many of the cuts in practices, it looks like he will actually make the team and becomes an icon
of hope for his friends, family and a lot of Eagles fans. When the very last cuts were due, coach
Vermiel called for Vince to go and see him. Vince was convinced that he was going to be cut because
the receiver he was competing against was a little better than he was. Vince s attitude, intensity and
character won the day with Vermiel who welcomed him to the Philadelphia Eagles. This movie can

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Teleworking
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, teleworking opportunities, increased from 19% in 2003 to
24% in 2015 (Shin, 2017). For employees, the question becomes what are the advantages and
disadvantages of working remotely and how do they affect culture, and the successes for the
employee? While job satisfaction is the driving force for employee morale, teleworking still requires
performance and productivity to be successful.
In order to gain a competitive edge, the employee must understand the influences which have a direct
effect on their abilities to telework. These include autonomy, flexibility, minimal distractions, lack of
commute, and cost saving, allowing the employee to cover the distance by utilizing communication
(Schulte, 2015). With high speed internet communication available throughout the world, including
remote areas, it s easier for virtual face to face meetings to happen, eliminating the need for the
physical office meetings.
First, the autonomy advantage is for persons that are self motivated, which provides the freedom to
control the work environment while holding themselves accountable. However, for individuals that
need structure and direct guidance, teleworking may seem too broad for them to function
independently (Schulte, 2015). A good telecommuter has an insatiable appetite to compete while
achieving a high level with minimal supervision. They must be technologically savvy with above
average problem solving skills to achieve defined measurable

Before Delving Into The Similarities And Differences Of
Before delving into the similarities and differences of each country s approach to teaching math, the
article first discusses some of the cultural differences between the way teaching, as a profession, is
viewed in Japan, the way teachers are trained to become teachers and how the Japanese school system
differs from that of the United States. The article then focuses on several components that contribute
to the ways math is taught, the role of homework and seatwork and how each are viewed, the
materials teachers choose to use to teach their lessons and how they use them, the ultimate goal of
each lesson and how the classroom set up varies from country to country. Each aspect is given its own

Japanese teachers do not create their lessons based upon a series of steps they intend to complete but
by how they predict students will interpret the problem they present to them at every step. Japanese
teachers do not tell their students to what to do or how to approach a problem. Instead, they place
more emphasis on challenging the students to figure out all the possible ways that they could solve a
problem and let them work through it themselves before discussing their findings as an entire class
(Hiebert, et al., 2003). In this manner, the students are applying concepts that they have learned from
previous lessons in order to come to a solution towards a problem that they have never seen before.
Once they have done this, it is believed that they can provide evidence as to why a problem is correct.
In short, it is the Japanese belief that students will not understand the underlying concept of a problem
if they are not forced to figure it out by themselves. Even when they make mistakes, the Japanese
believe it is in the students best interests to complete the problem and then try to make sense of why
their reasoning led them to the wrong answer so that they will not make a similar mistake in the future
(Hiebert, et al., 2003). The American teaching philosophy is vastly different from that of Japan s
teaching philosophy. Instead of allowing students to

Society s Current Structure Of Masculinity
Society s current structure of masculinity is unforgiving in form. It cuts out other forms of masculinity,
it physically and mentally demanding, and its ill effects extend far beyond the men it infuses itself in.
Yet what would we do if we were given other options for masculinity, ones that allowed for unique
blends of attitudes and perceptions? Looking in to the lives of homeless men we can see the forced
strategies which create new masculine codes created for the adaption against patriarchal pressures.
They are made out of survival need to circumnavigate the painful mental and physical reality that is
only made worse by harsh masculine standards. Yet these new masculinities hold out a form of
hopefulness for society. They offer up new discussion to what it means to be a man, the potential for
change, and what we can expect from changes in male identity over time. Using what we learn from
the disadvantaged, we can hope to improve the lives of people, although the process will take time,
effort, and careful mediation. Timothy Nonn s Hitting Bottom: Homelessness, Poverty, and
Masculinity touches on the complicated issues homeless men face, especially in terms of adapting to
pressures of hegemonic masculinity. The mental and physical stress of homelessness for men stems
from a denial of identity due to the rigid construction of maleness. Homeless men lose their
connection to the same power other men come to expect, they lose their place in society, and because

  • 2. Mechanism For Melanocyte Apoptosis There are no sufficient data about the definite mechanism for melanocyte apoptosis, but autoimmune mechanism is thought to be stongly involved in vitiligo development, especially non segmental vitiligo (Yang et al., 2015). Cytokines such as IL 1, IFNγ or TNFα are paracrine inhibitors of melanocytes and can initiate apoptosis. Increased TNFα protein and transcript levels in patients with vitiligo have been shown, suggesting an early apoptosis of melanocytes. Apoptosis of melanocytes in vitiligo may also be due to melanocyte specific antibodies (Laddha et al., 2013). Moretti et al., used TUNEL assay and electron microscopy to confirm increase of apoptotic keratinocytes in vitiligo skin biopsies (Diab et al., 2016). 7 Intrinsic theory: ... While its pathological increase inhibits melanogenesis and induces melanocytorrhagy leading eventually to development of vitiligo (Kumar and Parsad, 2012). 9 convergence theory: This theory supposes the multifactorial origin of vitiligo. Many factors including stress, accumulation of toxic compounds, infection, autoimmunity, mutations, altered cellular environment, and impaired melanocytes migration can all contribute to pathogenesis (ChOudhary, 2015). Clinical Manifestations of Vitiligo: Vitiligo manifests as acquired single or multiple depigmented macules or patches that are chalk or milk white in color, surrounded by normal, hyperpigmented or sometimes red inflammatory border (Basha et al., 2015). Depigmentation preferentially appears around body orifices such as eyes, mouth, nostril, genitalia and umbilicus (Biswas et al., 2015). It may also involve the eyelids and hair. Lesions are well demarcated, round, oval, or linear in shape. The borders are convex. Lesions enlarge centrifugally over time at an unpredictable rate ranging from millimeters to centimeters in size. (Kumar, 2015). Vora et al. (2014) noticed that the commonest site to be affected was lower limb, followed by upper limb, face, trunk, and genitals. The commonest morphological pattern observed was vitiligo vulgaris, other patterns noticed were acrofacial, segmental, universal, and mucosal. Bilateral distribution was a common observation among patients and most of patients showed more than ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Problem With National Breast Cancer Awareness Month The Real Awareness of Pink Ribbon Month: A critique of Robin Hilmantel s The Problem with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Even though breast cancer is an important issue in today s society and there are different organizations and charities that raise money for breast cancer; the pink ribbon is something that causes a variety of problems. In her article The Problem with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Robin Hilmantel makes an effective argument and uses pathos to reach out to women by showing the perspective of a real person who was suffering from breast cancer, as well as use symbolism to argue how the pink ribbon is being used in a misguided way. However, she does not have a well developed thesis and her evidence does not present any citation or where she got the information from which gives doubts on her credibility. Hilmantel begins her article with a statement that catches the audience s attention and makes them think about the pink ribbon movement that occurs every October; but she does not introduce her thesis until she mentions her argument which is that there is a problem in how the pink ribbon is being represented in the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. She first starts with a story of a young woman named Kate Petrides, who did not expect to ever have breast cancer at her age. Throughout the article Hilmantel talks about how the awareness of breast cancer has had different responses to people. Hilmantel says that different ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Role Of Government In Indonesia Two rounds of gubernatorial election occurred in February and April of 2017 to elect a governor of the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta. Popular incumbent governor Basuki Tjahaja or Ahok was expected to have a tight race. Unfortunately, after a series groundbreaking religious manipulations by the organization the Islamic Defenders Front (F.P.I. in Bahasa), he decisively lost to Anies Baswedan. Through usage of Ashok s double minority status as a Christian and ethnic chinese the F.P.I. managed to convince voters he was not the right fit, even after his success in creating a more transparent budget and improving infrastructure. A large part of the majority Muslim country was infuriated by his heinous actions, which were simply lighthearted words with no malicious intent. The blasphemy case derailed his campaign for reelection thus helping the F.P.I. s agenda for election of a Muslim governor. The emotional manipulation the F.P.I. and Hitler participated in proved to be incredibly successful in their push for power. Next, Fidel Castro attempted to appeal to the feelings of his people and Nikita Khrushchev to wage a nuclear war against the United States of America. John F. Kennedy and Nikita Khrushchev failed to take him seriously, seeming to conduct haphazard invasions. In turn, Castro worried he would lose Cuba and be swept under their control. To prevent this he appealed to his people by saying, The result of aggression against Cuba will be the start of a conflagration of incalculable consequences, and they will be affected too, he told the Cuban people, It will no longer be a matter of them feasting on us. They will get as good as they give. His words convinced the Cuban people that a suicide mission to destroy America was in their best interest. Castro s arguments were not based on logic, rather, he cited the preservation of communism as priority number one. Moreover, when the United States was alerted of Cuba s possession of missiles, and threatened Cuba he refused back down. Castro even tried to bring Khrushchev ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Character Analysis Of Franny And Zooey In this novel about identity, we are reminded of how often we see ego, wishes, and desires. The specific mundane details of objects, such as the medicine cabinet, Franny s purse, and other objects, bring out characterization of both Franny and Zooey. The objects can signify how disorderly and imperfect they both are, but are known to be these perfect people because they re really good at what they do. Also, for how famous they are in their acting careers. Salinger uses objects as a metaphor for an empty devoted life, dedicated to a spiritual meaning. When Lane meets up with Franny, he says that he is the only one on the platform that really knew Franny s coat (7,Salinger). The coat reminded him of when they first kissed and had a ... We can see signs of spiritualism Zooey calling the bathroom his chapel (114,Salinger). He says this because his mother comes into confess her worries, and Zooey explains the real reason for Franny spiritual crisis. He acts like a priest in this way to his mom. This goes into Zooey trying to get Franny to see life in a sacred way, but as Zooey explained it to his mom like chicken soup, she says it s consecrated . When Zooey goes to Seymour and Buddy s room he reads the quotes on the bulletin board of favorite books. In this room there are many quotes from the spiritual classics the children thrived on. Books of literature and spirituality become a metaphor for the higher life of imagination and seeking that the children shared. Zooey claims that Franny did not get The Way of a Pilgrim from the library, but from Seymour s desk. This makes Franny upset because these books containing a beautiful world that sustained her and her siblings at home are destroyed in college by academic analysis. • 8. Rock Around The Clock Analysis Bill Haley and The Comets, Rock Around the Clock Bill Haley and The Comets Rock around the clock released in 1956 is a song written by Max Freedman and James Myers, it was originally the B side to Thirteen women and gained little initial interest. I will be exploring why Hayley s song is often cited as being the first rock and roll song and why it captured young people s attention and imagination all around the world following the song played over the end credits of MGM film Blackboard Jungle. I will be evaluating major themes of the period: events, youth, race and technology to illustrate why I think Haley has a definite contender for that title. Upon its re release in March 1955 it became the first million selling single in Britain. (Classic tracks, 2008) With reports in Britain of youngsters seen bopping ...a sight to horrify parents for the rest of the 50 s (Beckett.F, Russell T, 2015) Also, reports of rioting were reported when over excited kids ripped up their seats in excitement. (Encyclopaedia of fifties music, 2002.) However, there is much debate as to whether Haley did have the first rock and roll record as many music historians cite Rocket 88 by Jackie Brenston and the Delta Cats as the first real rock and roll record. Indeed, Haley himself in 1952 recording the song Rocket 88. (Blues to rock, 1987) So, who indeed lay can claim to the first rock and roll record? • 9. The Trading Dynamics of Institutional Investors The fraction of corporate equity owned by institutional investors has grown considerably in the past several decades; institutional holding of shares in U.S. equities has increased from approximately 16% in 1965 to over 50% in 2010 (Federal Reserve Board, 2011). The fact that institutional investors are managing such a sizable wealth invested in U.S. equity market has potential important role in term of setting market prices. The growing impact of institutional investors on capital markets has induced to increased research on the behavior of this group of investors both by academics and policy makers, who tend to believe that institutional investor follow momentum based strategies, and often are alleged to herdinglike behavior and following destabilizing trading strategies. Recent studies investigating the behavior of institutional investors document three main results. First, institutional investors are momentum traders (buying past winners and selling past losers) and are more likely to follow past prices (citet*{grinblatt1995momentum}). Second, Institutional investors sometimes trade in the same direction over a period of time or engage in herding behavior (citet{wermers1999mutual}). Finally, the contemporaneous association between changes in quarterly institutional holding and quarterly stock returns is much stronger than the feedback trading effect (citet{nofsinger1999herding,wermers1999mutual}). • 11. The Challenges Of Philip II And Elizabeth I Philip II and Elizabeth I are two of the most important figures during the 16th century. Philip played a major role in Spain once his father (Charles V) stepped down while Elizabeth was a key figure in England as she ruled and showed her feminism. Both figures had a rough path to lead as the subjects were always a problem. To understand Philip carefully, the full history of his reign is crucial when looking at Spain. Challenges were already given to him from his father and Philip had to learn fast. On the other hand, Elizabeth had a rough childhood and she had to win over her subjects. Through critical examination of primary sources, strategic characteristics will be presented while under what influence they were in throughout their reign. Therefore, the opposite backgrounds to the throne, resistance from subjects, and different strategies ultimately led these two together through war. Charles V stepped down in 1556 and Philip II took over when he was young. Already, Philip was getting praise from people in the administration. He had the characteristics of listening to advisors while still showing that he was informed in the topic of discussion. Ambassador Suriano even said that in the king s eyes no nation is superior to the Spaniards. He glanced to the light fixture. Ah crap! He yelled, turning his head away quickly. He could hear the echo from the yell as it went through the hallways. Daniel got himself on his feet, slightly dazed. He notices the dark outlines of the boxes in the room. It appears as though Daniel is in another storage room. Where am I? What s going on? Why is everything so dark, but the light fixtures so bright? Daniel can hear people talking in the hallway outside of the room he is in. • 14. Analysis Of The Duchess Of Malfi And The Castle Of Malpe I am sure the Beatles were not thinking about the Middle Ages when they wrote and sang Can t Buy Me Love but this title is very fitting to Medieval Europe. Was it possible to choose who you loved? Not if you were an aristocrat. During this period, marriages were arranged for a gain by both sides usually in the form of property, wealth or power. Falling in love was not an option for most individuals during this time; however, this does not mean that people did not fall in love commonly with someone other than the intended spouse. Women s fate in marriage was usually determined by their fathers with little or no regard for their own feelings. Furthermore, the church basically offered women two options. They were to become celibate and lead the life of a nun or be committed to a loveless marriage and procreate. As we witness in both The Duchess of Malfi and The Castle of Otranto, marriage was not an ideal situation for women. Being forced into arranged marriages, neither the bride nor the groom had the prerogative to fall in love naturally. Women were treated like objects and were forced to marry men of all ages for a variety of different reasons. Society dictated that people marry within their class. It was difficult to rebel against those ideals but there were a few brave enough to do so. An example of this is shown in both The Duchess of Malfi and The Castle of Otranto as they both show how women were treated like objects and how love is portrayed. Regardless of which ... Later that year, Jones was served with a $300 million lawsuit filed by NFL Properties. The lawsuit claims included violations of the Lanham Act, breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith, unjust enrichment, and tortious interference with contractual rights (Jessop, 2013). Jones filed a motion to dismiss. The motion was granted in part. Jones then filed a $750 million antitrust lawsuit against the league. • 18. Power And Authority In Big Brother, By George Orwell The opening paragraph for chapter 11 begins with the story written by George Orwell in 1949 about how the government, Big Brother , came in between two lovers in order to restore the loyalty to the state. While this is more extreme than any government we have today, it still shows that in order to work, the government and politics need power and authority. Authority is power that is viewed as legitimately exercised over an individual, while coercion is power that is viewed as unjustly used over an individual. The state has a monopoly on violence and can use violence to punish those it sees fit. The only way that the state could be punished is by the state s citizens, if enough of them see their power as illegitimate. There are different types of authority that Max Weber identified; traditional, rational legal, and charismatic. Traditional authority comes from patterns and customs that place certain people in power. Rational legal authority is based on law and written rules. Charismatic authority is based on loyalty and can have many problems when it comes to the transfer of leadership. There are many types of authority, and there are also many types of government. There is a monarchy, based on hereditary rule, and a democracy where citizens give the ruler power. There is also a dictatorship where an individual is in charge of all, and a oligarchy where a group is in charge of all. Cathedral written by raymond carter, shows how blind society is with Robert as there symbol. Society bends the visions of how we see these people that stand out. Robert is judged, but what happens in the end is how society also tends to react. Society has built preconceptions of people that stand out. Robert is used to the awkward, hints dropped here and there. The calm, confident and collected attitude of Robert suggests that he has been through something like this before. • 21. Hidden Biases Of Good People The ease of modern technology that lets people communicate globally, the access to extraordinary mobility, and the well roundedness of people today has produced the biggest population in history that prides itself in being egalitarian and fair minded. Psychologists have found evidence in recent studies that, although people are not as outwardly racist and discriminatory as they were in the past centuries, there is an underlying bias that can lead people to act in ways opposing their beliefs. In their book Blindspot: Hidden Biases of Good people, psychologists Mahzarin Banaji and Anthony Greenwald explore the ideas of unconscious identity, the judgment and treatment of others based on stereotypes and the phenomenon of association, and our inability to simply stop being biased as opposed to outsmarting it. Children are taught that lying is bad, that telling the truth no matter the consequences will always outweigh the instant benefit of telling a lie. So we grow up knowing that lying is bad and mostly avoid lying; however, the psychologists assert that untruths that are somewhere on the spectrum between totally unconscious and partly conscious, untruths that people tell not to others but at times to themselves as well are not a rare occurrence (Banaji and Greenwald 21). This idea that our unconscious mind can also have a completely different identity than the one that we outwardly portray demonstrates our ability to have preferences and biases that can have detrimental ... Both Stalin and Mao recognized the economic backwardness of their respective countries and wanted to use industrialization and collectivisation as the primary means of increasing their economies. This policy led to deaths of millions of Chinese peasants and what came to be known as the biggest famine in history. This was a huge failure for Mao, and threw off his position as leader. Viewing both the leaders policies, solely on the basis of economic success, it can be said that Stalin s policies were somewhat successful as Stalin took a backward country and turned it into a massive urban working class with most of the country being electrified, which was not available before. In addition, the policy of collectivisation fulfilled its goals as peasants were now paid wages and land and machinery was collectively owned. Looking at the human cost of the policies, both industrialization and collectivisation were hard on the population, creating poor working conditions and famines throughout the nation. Stalin had also maintained his power throughout all of his economic policies, unlike Mao who after the Great Leap Forward had to re establish himself through the Cultural Revolutions. Despite Mao s fall, his economic policies were also to some extent, successful as more than half of China became irrigated and the railway network virtually doubled. The U.S., India, Australia, Russia and Brazil are some examples of federalist countries. While this type of practice has its upsides, it has downsides as well as alternatives. One alternative to a federal system would be a unitary system. While a federal government (such as the one in the U.S.) divides power between national governments and local governments, a unitary government does not and all the power is in the national government ex if the U.S. used a unitary government, marijuana would either be legal or illegal in the whole country compared to in the current federal government where various states have marijuana legalized such as; Washington, California, Colorado, and others haven t legalized this drug; Texas, Idaho, Utah. A common misconception about a unitary government is that it is a dictatorship, which is not the case at all, they can still be democracies like France, question is would the people be more comfortable with all the power in the central government or a division of that power to local or state governments. The balance of power between the federal and state government has had some changes over time, with laws being put in place to ensure each has a fair area to control. It is most recognized by the main character Daniel Plainview and all the possible perspectives of interpretations (Analysis 0:20) this movie has. As I was watching this movie, this would be more of a family study as its most important theme. (Analysis 0:36) This is because it seems that Daniel is the father to all the characters and then they are in the end related to him in some way. I believe that all the characters in the movie that were introduced were there to affect Daniel in some way, be a contrast to him, or be a reflection of him. Daniel Plainview is a man who has severe trust issues and is very troubled, but he wants to have a family. His characteristics are so heavily shown though the movie that they end up being his major flaws in the movie. These flaws are the things that end up destroying his connections to his family in every aspect. Anything that was thrown at him in the movie, did not impact him enough to change who he really was. In the 19th century, the Cult of Domesticity, also known as the Cult of True Womanhood, was introduced as an attempt to answer this question. The Cult of True Womanhood introduced a set of beliefs about gender roles that became so widely popular they could be found in magazines, newspapers, and throughout all of the famous cultures. Our modern 21st century still recognizes and practices the three factors of purity, submissiveness, and domesticity, which were greatly upheld by the cult. Purity is the impression that a True Woman Waits. For the duration of the 19th century a female was not considered a woman without her sexual purity. Females were seen as fallen woman unworthy of love and unfit for their company if they did not wait until marriage to have sexual intercourse. Young ladies were told that they must guard their treasure (virginity) with their life. During this time, a woman s only power was her sexual virtue for the man bears rule over his wife s person and conduct. She bears rule over his inclinations: he governs by law; she by persuasion... For employees, the question becomes what are the advantages and disadvantages of working remotely and how do they affect culture, and the successes for the employee? While job satisfaction is the driving force for employee morale, teleworking still requires performance and productivity to be successful. In order to gain a competitive edge, the employee must understand the influences which have a direct effect on their abilities to telework. Japanese teachers do not tell their students to what to do or how to approach a problem. Instead, they place more emphasis on challenging the students to figure out all the possible ways that they could solve a problem and let them work through it themselves before discussing their findings as an entire class (Hiebert, et al., 2003). In this manner, the students are applying concepts that they have learned from previous lessons in order to come to a solution towards a problem that they have never seen before. Once they have done this, it is believed that they can provide evidence as to why a problem is correct. In short, it is the Japanese belief that students will not understand the underlying concept of a problem if they are not forced to figure it out by themselves.
