Syntax Stage Of Language Development Essay
As language continues to develop children reach the syntax stage of language development. At around
two years of age, toddlers begin to form short utterances of two to three words. This is referred to as
telegraphic speech (Hill, 2012) as they begin to extend on their expressive communication they build
on their ability to put words together to form meaning. As children learn to construct simple sentences
they often exclude words such as content words used to form grammatically correct sentences.
As language is guided through nature. A stimulating learning environment is beneficial as interaction
through group play encourages children to engage through interaction as they communicate with
others to discuss their plans, ideas, thoughts and understanding increasing their language development
(Fellows Oakley, 2014). Expressive language progresses as their sentences become more structured
improving verbal interaction. This occurs at around three years of age as children speak more fluently
and become better understood by others.
As children learn to communicate through each stage of language development they gain a better
understanding of the importance of expressing themselves through language. As children reach the
pragmatics stage of language development they begin to develop necessary skills to socially interact
with others. As they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The four stages of language development phonology, semantic, syntax and pragmatics are impacted by
age and individual ability. These language components are used to guide the level at which children
progress through each stage of language development and the level at which nature and nurture play a
role in this development. Supported by the behaviourist and cognitive theories while determining how
children s language is best supported. Through these stages, it is found that children learn to
communicate in a stimulating environment influenced by social interaction

Family Systems Therapy And Structural Family Therapy
Historically, the field of social work and its practitioners have been concerned with the welfare of
families and their functioning. When dysfunction is present, families often seek guidance through
family therapy, which has become a strengths based approach to intervention that emphasizes families
resiliency and capacity to solve their problems. Within family practice, practitioners implement
diverse theoretical approaches and practice models, which function as a foundation for family
assessment and intervention methods. This paper seeks to explicate two family intervention models,
Bowen family systems therapy and structural family therapy, and utilize the most effective approach
to develop a treatment plan for a family seeking therapy.
Family Intervention Models
Bowen Family Systems Therapy Rooted in systems theory, Murray Bowen s Bowen family systems
therapy acknowledges the family as a multigenerational emotional system (Nichols, 2013). This
model perceives the family as an interconnected network of emotional reactivity that shapes family
dynamics and interaction patterns. Bowen proposed eight interlocking concepts to elucidate familial
patterns: differentiation of self, triangles, nuclear family emotional system, family projection process,
multigenerational transmission process, emotional cutoff, sibling position, and societal emotional
process (Nichols, 2013). It also views families through an individual and collective lens, assessing
how members emotionally driven

Montana Tribe Research Paper
I felt that it was incredibly important to learn the background in all Montana Tribes and history first
before choosing a tribe to learn more about. Long before Montana became known as the last best
place, Indian people knew this area as the first best place (Whitford, p.2). The Native Americans were
promised many things. That they still have not received to this day. Later in the 1800 s, treaties started
to begin between the U.S. Government and the Native Americans (Whitford, p.2). The treaties were
over the land.
In Montana, there are twelve tribal nations. Only eleven have their own homelands. This is because
they have either treaties set or have an order. The only Tribe that doe not have their own homeland is
Little Shell Band of Chippewa (Whitford, p.3). I think it is very important to understand that each
Tribe has its own story about what happened between them as a tribe and the U.S. Government
(Whitford, p. 3). How that particular tribe has overcome things that happened in the 1800 s and today.
The tribe/reservation that I have chosen to learn ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These tribes lived in what is now Province of Saskatchewan. In 1730, the tribes started to move
because of they game they hunted were moving (Whitford, p.11). Because the tribe was so scattered
this made it harder for the settlers to enter their territory (Whitford p.11). In 1873 and 1874, the
Blackfeet southern boundary was moved 200 miles north by Presidential orders and Congressional
Acts (Whitford p.11). The tribe was continuously moved. Not only were they moved, but also hunting
for buffalo was a lot harder. They had to learn new ways to survive (Whitford p.11). In 1888, the
boundaries were established and United States now wanted the Rock Mountains (Whitford, p. 11).
This is still being disputed today on what as agreed on (Whitford

Wolves In Little Red Riding Hood
In both stories wolves are portrayed as dangerous creatures. Throughout the story of On the Mountain
Trail the wolves are chasing after what they think is prey. Then in Law of Life at the end of the story
(paragraph 22) the wolves attack him and kill him. The wolves in both stories are portrayed as fierce
ferocious animals; they are creatures of the wilderness, hunting prey whenever possible. They are not
the sociable animals such as dogs that we are so custom to they are deadly animals in some cases. For
example: In the mountain trail once the characters started to shoot at them the wolves immediately
thought of them as a threat, or when you are lying there motionless and if the wolves are hungry and
in a pack you are a free snack to them. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the fairy tales Little Red Riding Hood the wolf was a trick so he could eat her and as a result she
ran away. In The Boy Who Cried Wolf, he was lier and eventually died. They were supposed to scare
us so as we got older we never saw a wolf and if we did it was a symbol of fear to us. But because we
have never seen them in person when we do we think of a way to either kill them or get them away so
that they cannot harm us or them, the main characters (On the Mountain Trail paragraph 9 10 and Law
of life paragraph 22). But sometimes we don t understand wolves they can represent fear as the lone
wolf represents when it s hunting alone without his pack and howls its a nonsocial animal it just
depends on its confidence with its pack. Wolves also mean in different religions that you are strong
and brave, or in the Japanese they worshiped them. But in most religions they are terrified of them
they have people protecting lambs from their vicious fangs. Or werewolves when they turn into
wolves they can t control themselves and everyone has to run and hide from them. People had gotten
so afraid of people actually turning into werewolves that if people thought you were a werewolf they
would kill you, because they thought you were dangerous. That s why most people try and kill them

Heat
Structure: The structure of this story leads you to believe that the characters death will revolve around
the heat. In a way this is true.
The twin girls go out for a bike ride one hot day to get some ice cream. This is were the tragedies take
place. The boy in the ice cream truck, Roger Whipple, lures them back to his house and kills them. So
in a way, the title heat is very important because this lets us know why Rhea and Rhoda are going
there in the first place, and lets us know more about the two characters better as a whole. This is better
for our knowledge rather then just going into the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is someone people would never guess to kill two girls, but the story gives us the perspective of
knowing he could be capable of it. The tension grows through out the story, and I believe that it is
never relieved.
Certain parts of the tension are, but the one main question is never answered. The tension builds when
one of the sisters goes up to the room alone, and we know that the one left on the stairs becomes
aware that something isn t right. Right at this point we want to know what is going on in the room, and
sooner or later we re going to find out.
Once Rhea doesn t come down from the room for quite some time, Rhoda follows checking up on her
sister, and looking forward to find out what is going on in there. Once she is in the room, we notice
that things aren t right, and Roger is the one who kills the two girls. We know that the Rhoda bumps
into her twin Rhea wrapped up in the bed clothes, however we never find out how he killed them. This
part of the story bugs me because it is something that I wanted to know, and
Joyce Oates builds up. I don t think that a writer should build something up so much and never relieve
it. This takes away from the story for me. However, others may think that this is what makes it. I
would have liked the story that much more if I would have been able to find this out. The problem that
I have with this is that Roger s room is described as empty and lonely. Yes, he would be capable of

Preventive Measures Towards Crime Against Women
Preventive Measures towards crime against women
Violence against women is a technical term used to collectively refer to violent acts that are primarily
or exclusively committed against women. Similar to a hate crime, this type of violence targets a
specific group with the victim s gender as a primary motive.
The United Nations General Assembly defines violence against women as any act of gender based
violence that results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual or mental harm or suffering to women,
including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, whether occurring in public
or in private life. The 1993 Declaration on the Elimination of Violence Against Women noted that this

Irrespective of national affluence or level of development, women are vulnerable to exploitation,
oppression and all other types of explicit violence from men in all societies where cultural norms,
tradition and legal system sanction women s subordination to men. In India, an important mechanism
of male dominance is the propagation of gender ideology through sanctions of religious texts and their
gender selective interpretation by the community leaders. Moreover, increasing exposure to violence
through popular reading, theaters, film and TV shows, satellite culture etc. directly or indirectly
encourage men to commit offences like rape.

Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis was born on July 28, 1929 in Southampton, New York. She grew

The Atomic Bomb On The World War II
In August of 1945, President Truman made an important decision to drop two atomic bombs days
apart in the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I completely agree with President Truman s
decision to drop the atomic bomb on the two Japanese cities because I believe it is the main reason
that ended World War II. Being from Malaysia, my grandparents often told me stories of their
sufferings during World War II. As Singapore s former Prime Minister concurred, the Japanese
soldiers were mean, brutal and vicious towards the civilians, and if the atomic bombs were not
dropped to end the war, hundreds of thousands of civilians would have been perished. Another reason
I support the use of atomic bombs to end the war is because World War II has the most war related
deaths in history of mankind, if the war were to continue, more people would have died and Japan will
rise and hold the most power in the world. Many minority Asian countries that were invaded would
lose their culture, language and citizens, and hence the world might be different today. The droppings
of these two bombs are arguably the most pivotal moment for Japan to end the war. First, Pearl Harbor
was destroyed by a surprise Japanese attack in December 7, 1941. With such an important event in
modern American History, President Truman has always thought of retaliating to Japan. President
Truman s thought of using the atomic bombs was to end the war as soon as possible, so that the U.S.

The three major deficits are sensory, fine motor, and gross motor deficits. An extreme reaction to
sensory stimulation is sensory deficit and there are two subtypes: hypersensitive, which is excessively
sensitive, and hyposensitive, which is less than normal sensitivity. Another sensory deficit may be
synesthesia, which is the confusion of sensations from one another. Developmental delays in fine and
motor skills are usually common. An example of fine motor skills would be coloring, lacing their
shoes, eating, cutting with scissors, writing or using a computer keyboard. Reasons why motor skills
can be a problematic at times for people with autism, because they incline to self stimulate or perform
repetitive movements when stress and do not finish the task at hand. Walking would be an example of
gross motor skills. Sadly walking can be challenging for an autistic child or adult, causing them to

This was the great temple on the Capitolium, one of the two peaks of the Capitoline Hill. It was
dedicated the Capitoline Triad, Jupiter, Juno and Minerva. Tarquinius Priscus vowed this temple, but
tradition states that a large part of the work was done by Tarquinius Superbus. With his overthrow in
509 B.C., the first consul of the new Republic dedicated it on September 13. Here on each January 1
the new consuls took office in a colorful ceremony. Each month on the Ides, a white sheep was

Ronald Reagan announced his candidacy in November 1979, after making political friends at party
fund raising dinners around the country. He easily defeated the other nominees for the Republican
nomination. He chose Gerald Ford as his vice president. But when Ford s negotiators proposed that
the vice president should share presidential powers, Reagan chose George Bush instead.
During the campaign against Democratic candidate Jimmy Carter, the biggest issue was the economy.
Reagan blamed Carter for weaknesses in foreign policy and a weak army. During the time of the
election Reagan had great public support, which made it easier to push his program through congress.
When Reagan became president he started out in a recession. 11 percent of the work force was
unemployed in fall, 1982. This recession reduced inflation significantly, but the interest rates remained
high. During the next two years the economic recovery began. The unemployment came down, but
thousands of factory jobs disappeared. The new jobs, which were mostly in service industries, paid
less, leaving inflation low.
Reagan s economic policy worked on the claim that investment in industry and spending by
consumers would eventually increase tax revenues. With this policy, he persuaded Congress to pass
the Economic Recovery Tax Act. This enacted tax cuts that benefited upper income taxpayers and

Differences Between Tertullian And Justin Martyr
Yves Gerard
17FA BIBL 111 Intro to Christian Hist/Thght (14)
Drawing on other parts of their writings, what are Tertullian and Justin Martyr saying about faith,
reason, and philosophy in these passages? Are their positions in conflict? What are the implications of
each perspective?
Many believe that the writings of early Church Fathers were lectured to different sects. In fact, one
may assume that there are Similarities and differences between Tertullian and Justin Martyr.
Particularly, let s compare Tertullian s and Justin Martyr perspective of faith, reason, and philosophy!
Justin Martyr is Known as the defender of the faith (Tony lane), (p.10) He looked for truth in Greek
philosophy. Likewise, his apology is in defense of the Christian faith and belief of Christianity. Of the
writings that subsist, his First Apology (c. 155 c.e.; English translation, 1861) contains a resilient
appeal for justice lectured to Antoninus. In that work, he clarifies Christian morals to influence his
reader of Christian faithfulness and honesty. However, also central to this writing is his claim that
Hebrew prophecy and Greek philosophy, both informed by the divine Logos (the Word), pointed to the
coming of Christ. Through such dispute, he facilitated to institute the early Christian theme which
faith is greater than Greek philosophy and is the result of Judaic belief. In Justin s awareness, merely
those who were controlled by fears failed to recognize these facts. His Second Apology (c.

Henry Fleming Characteristics
Split by different cultures that stemmed from the Union and Confederacy, the United States was
forced to resolve such issues with a Civil War. The nineteenth century US Civil War was a battle for
power and slave rights. Favoring a stronger federal government, the Union disagreed with the
Confederacy s view on slave rights and economical style. Seeing as their economy and infrastructure
was heavily based on agriculture, the Confederacy would take the most impact from an abolishment of
slavery and stronger federal government. These two issues alone led to the most deadliest US war to
date. Often identified as the young soldier , Henry Fleming enlists into the army with a very
romanticized view of the battlefield. Within the first three days of battle, Henry s characterization of a
courageous and brave soldier changes dramatically. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When faced with adversities early into his first battle, he quickly reconsidered his views on war and
courage. By running away from the face of battle, Henry saw his vivid error, and he was afraid that it
would stand before him all his life (Cane 24.30). This pushed him into believing that he would never
be a man of courage of masculinity. This error of running away caused Henry to be angry at himself
for mistakenly thinking the battle was over and abandoning his fellow soldiers. While away from the
battle Henry discovers that he had a scorching thirst and his body was calling for food (Cane 11.21).
From the struggle of war and the experience of Wilson, Henry learns to reflect upon his life and learn
from his mistakes, rather than being angry at himself. This allowed Henry to be influenced by the
culture around him, shaping him into acknowledging that courage was not depicted by a gunshot or a

times of the year are for camping there and what the weather will be like during your stay. As
disappointing as it might be, it is better to cancel your trip if stormy weather is predicted instead of
thinking of just braving it.

for undergraduate s general education courses. Room 209 is where the public speech class took place.
It is a middle size classroom in the corner and next to a lounge area. I saw some of the students
rehearsal their informative speech at the lounge when I arrived early and wait for Ning to come. Ning
s class has 15 students with varying major background. On the day I visited, most of the students came
to class on time. Three students arrived about 5 minutes late, and Ning said she would mark them as
late. Ning told me that too many late marks would negatively affect the student s participation final
grade. I learned a lot of teaching skills from Ning, such as how to start the class lively, how to
organize student s speech and how to claim down students when facing unpredicted things. Ning
started her class by showing a video clip of humorous talk show. I think it is an effective way to
reduce student s pre performance anxiety. She then overviewed what the class was going to do and
gave updates on class assignments. Then, Ning asked volunteer students give the first speech. Others
could just step to the front if they felt like they are ready to go. I think this is the best way to

Analyzing Interstellar
The movie Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan and released in 2014, is about the main
character, Cooper (Matthew McConaughey), who explores another vast Solar System in search of a
new Earth like home. On his journey to discover this new planet, Cooper learns a tremendous amount
about love, greed, and life. In Interstellar, Christopher Nolan puts emotion and reason up against each
other. The Crew is forced to choose between Statistics and their own emotions in their decision
making and at numerous points in the film those decisions decide whether someone lives or dies.
Within the first 30 minutes of the film, Cooper is called upon to pilot a spacecraft that ... Show more

It s a really tough point in the film for Cooper because he understands that he s the most capable for
the job and without him, the chances for success are limited. However, he doesn t want to leave his
son and daughter. At this stage of the film, Cooper is still very bound by logic and the probability of
saving the human race, so of course he decides to go.
Later on in the movie we learn about this magnificent Dr. Mann. The crew of the shuttle makes him
out to be this Incredible man who convinced the world s smartest people to go on a
Lazarus mission, meaning they had a 1 in 12 chance of survival; hence the name of the mission. So
when Dr. Mann s and Edmund s planets came up on the list of habitable planets, almost everyone
thought he was the logical choice. Everyone but Dr. Brand, who had a relationship with Edmunds, so
she argued the point that she knows Edmunds is the right planet because love was guiding her, and
that made her feel like his planet had to be the right one.
However, they decided to go with Dr. Mann s planet, largely because Cooper was so concerned with
fuel loss. If they went to Edmunds planet they wouldn t have enough fuel to make it

What is happening in research?
¨ Many doctors and scientists are investigating the cause and cure of lupus. At medical centres
worldwide (including Canada), research has led to improved tests and techniques for diagnosis and
better methods for predicting flares. These allow doctors to start treatment sooner, which improves
chances for success.
As part of research, many centres collect and store patient information and statistics. The results of
this data can help doctors and patients make better decisions about treatment of an increasingly wide
range of symptoms. This, along with today s advances in technology, the greater awareness about

¨ Until science fully understands how the immune system works, the specific cause of lupus remains
unknown.
Four Forms of Lupus
¨ There are four different forms of lupus, and each affects the body differently.
¨ Drug induced lupus: The most common form of lupus in older individuals is induced by drug
exposure. It usually causes only a brief illness if the offending medication is identified and
discontinued.
¨ Discoid lupus: The second form is called discoid lupus, and occurs only on the skin. It causes a rash
that can lead to permanent scarring of the skin. When the rash is in the scalp, it can be associated with
permanent hair loss.
Systemic lupus: The third type of lupus is the systemic form, which is the most serious form, as it can
affect any organ in the body. The systemic form is almost always associated with antibodies that are
detected in the blood, causing the immune system to go haywire.
An overlap syndrome: Systemic lupus can also be part of an overlap syndrome that includes problems
from more than one type of rheumatic autoimmune disorder such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis

The Novel The New Atlantis By Ursula K. Le Guin
The short story The New Atlantis paints a picture of a dystopian United States, where the government
has become an overwhelming force. The people living in the States are left in a state of neglect, where
harsh administration and forced ideals are the norm. Ursula K. Le Guin s story follows Belle, a
woman who leaves her memoirs to the rising oceans that are swallowing up the continent. Belle s
story records the struggle of a person s life under the suffocating government, with her husband Simon
attempting to gain political strength through his scientific vision. The themes of the story are based on
a damning critique of the direction that humanity along with science and technology have taken under
capitalism (Maxwell 15). With its heavy hand, civilization has consumed itself with conflict and
consumption. By the end of the story, the United States has completely collapsed into the ocean,
collapsed under the weight of its own government. The story The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas
, also by Ursula K. Le Guin, tells the tale of an idealistic city called Omelas. Shoshana Knapp
illustrates the lives of Omelas as a complex moral problem: The basic situation . . . is the promise of
mass bliss in exchange for a unique torment (par. 5). When children become young adults in Omelas,
they are shown a morbid truth about their society the basis of Omelas whole existence relies on the
suffering of one lonely child locked in a room. This dilemma introduces many uncomfortable

International Students Information-Seeking Behaviors
Journal Article 1
Sara Jackson
Liberty University Summary Cho and Lee (2016) created a study to find out how international
students that attended colleges in the United States sought out information on the correct behaviors of
life on college campuses. Considering the continuous increase of international students, the main goal
of this study was to investigate how international students information seeking behaviors directly and
indirectly impacted communication satisfaction with instructors and school life satisfaction (Cho Lee,
2016, p.597). The researchers had to become familiar with cultural backgrounds of the students. This
was an important variable to understand which provided light as to why certain students acted the

I am a firm believer that as teacher we most know all of our students backgrounds. As Jones and Jones
state, ...it is absolutely essential that you understand your students beliefs and values about learning
and personal relationships and that you incorporate them into your decision making (Jones Jones,
2016, p.23). Teachers cannot treat all students the same way. Even if your students are not from
another country it is important to treat their beliefs and values equally. I do not want to offend any
student or parents by assuming that I know how all students should act and respond in a situation. Do
nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than
yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others
(Philippians 2:3 4). This is an appropriate verse for my discussion. It represents everything you need
to know about treat people. Think of others and do not assume everyone is the same. This is made

Fahrenheit 451 Society Analysis
When Ron Jones had manipulated his class into a mild form of neo nazism, most, if not all, took
notice, with the small exception of his class. His class had no idea what they became until the end of
the experiment. This raises the question: How can you tell whether or not something is wrong with
society? Now, obviously the whole something is wrong with society boils down to nothing more than
an opinion, so as a way to measure it, I will focus on societies that are largely believed and generally
accepted to be corrupt, so as much as I d love to talk about how screwed up our current society is,
because I m in the unfortunate minority, I d have to stick with the Nazi regime and fictional
governments. I will be presenting three different corrupt policies for each argument: Fahrenheit 451
society, another fictional society, and real society The first sign that a government or society is corrupt
is cruel or unusual punishment. Governments that punish those that have committed crimes that
present no right to be punished. In Fahrenheit 451 , the greatest look we ever get at their punishment
(besides the burning houses) is what happened to the poor chap minding his own business. The guy
wasn t even doing anything even remotely criminal, but he still was subjected to lethal punishment.
Another example is the IDW universe of Transformers. In the comic the last days of peace on
cybertron is presented in a very dark and gloomy way. For example, anyone that spoke out against the

Lumbar Vertebral Column, An Amazing Part Of The Human Body
Lumbar Vertebral Fracture
The Vertebral column is an amazing part of the human body. It is made up of many different pieces
that all fit together to make something that keeps the body up right, allows movement, supports weight
and protects the spinal cord. There are four different segments of the spinal cord. One of those
segments is called the lumbar region. The lumbar region consists of 5 vertebrae that make up the
lower back (Lippert, 2011). The lumbar region supports most of the body weight and allows
movement. People often do not realize how important the vertebral column is until it is already
injured. Injury to the lumbar region can be caused from a vertebral fracture and can be very painful to
ones lower back.
Etiology
Lumbar Vertebral Fractures, also known as a compression fractures are caused from a variety of
reasons. Some of the causes can be from high impact trauma or diseases. Some vertebral fractures are
causes by high impact trauma occurring in motor vehicle accidents, long distance falls and sports
injuries. The diseases that can cause compression fractures are osteoporosis and spinal tumors.
Compression fractures can occur from bone insufficiency as well as falls, lifting and trunk motions,
such as flexion, extension, lateral bending and rotation (American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons
[AAOS], 2015). Osteoporosis is the main cause of compression fractures. Depending on the severity
of the fracture signs and symptoms include severe lower back pain,

Little miss sunshine
Life to me is a journey you never know where it may lead you! I have chosen to watch and research

Sunshine, directed by Jonathon Dayton and Valerie Faris, is about a dysfunctional family that take a

There are many techniques used in this film. Firstly the directors and their team use a variety of
different camera techniques to shape our view on the characters, and ultimately change our view in the
world. In the opening sequence each character is introduced using different camera shots. For example
Olive s father is first projected to the audience as a success. There is a sequence of close ups and mid
ranged shots which show Richard confidently speaking in a spotlight at the front of the room.
However the cinematic team then use a cut to a point of view shot of what Richard sees when he has
finished talking, which allows us to then see how much of a failure he really is, as there is only five,
half asleep, bored people in the room and only one person applauds Richards work. This first
sequence allows us to see that Richard acts and feels like a winner to himself, but when he is seen with
the rest of the world he is a failure and a loser. The directors have used this sequence to shape our
understanding of winning and losing as it employs the idea that winning and losing is based on
comparing yourself to the rest of the world, instead of being on how you feel and view yourself.
Another technique used is the music used in the film. The soundtrack for Little Miss Sunshine is a mix
of indie rock and folk music that fits the scenes and overall

National Anthem Essay
The controversial issue of protesting the National Anthem has plagued the United States since the year
of 2016. Disputes have occurred over whether or not the athletes should be able to display their
opinion to the public even if the demonstration offends our armed forces. Many say the protests are
useless because the kneeling is diverting the public eye from the original issue; the anti protest
collection also agrees that the kneeling is not unconstitutional, and it should be restricted by the
owners of the teams. Though all of the arguments can be assumed to be correct, one might could argue
that these athletes were given this high platform so that they could be allowed to use their freedom of
speech to express their views about inequality, injustice, police brutality, etc. and to show equality
through the unification of their teams. This act of defiance against the National Anthem was said to be
disrespectful to the men and women that have protected this country. Many war veterans agree with
this because they believe that the athletes are dishonoring the symbol that gave each of us our
freedoms. I stand for our flag and anthem, and I kneel for our fallen. That s what patriots do, (Griggs).
The veterans of our country are not the only ones expressing their beliefs on the subject; a publication
by the Wall Street Journal states that before the National Anthem in Foxborough, Massachusetts, fans
held a sign reading Real Patriots Stand Up For Their Country ( Anthem

The men in The Things They Carried were viewed as the enemy because they were simply soldiers

Antonio Vivaldi s The Four Seasons
Antonio Vivaldi was a composer in the baroque period of music.
He was born March 4, 1678 in Venice Italy, and died on July 28, 1741. He lived most of his life in
Italy where his dad taught him how to play the violin. At often times he and his father played together.
Vivaldi was at one time a priest but his bad asthma held him back. He was often called the red priest
because of his beautiful red hair. His father Giovanni Vivaldi was also a professional violinist, while
also being his music teacher. He left to study for the priesthood when he was around 14 or 15, and was
ordained in 1703. When Vivaldi was 25 he was given the name master or violin at the Devout Hospital
of Mercy. Antonio was also incharge of a girls orphanage. His two most renowned operatic works
were Furnace, and La costanza trionfante. They were revived multiple times during his life. Added on
to Vivaldi s regular employment, he also accepted many short term positions funded by Rome, and

Benefits Of Lowering The Voting Age
In the 26th amendment the phrase Old enough to fight, old enough to vote became a slogan for a
youth voting right movement. There was a controversy about lowering the age to vote from 21 to 18
because of military reasons, so president Franklin D. Roosevelt lowered the voting age to 18 for the
youth to be involved in helping America. But today there is controversy about decreasing the voting
age even lower. Lowering the voting age can affect everyone in negative ways. They are still too
young to make mature decisions about life especially deciding the future of the country. Lowering the
age gives the responsibility for impulsive, immature kids to choose the fate of the future president;
therefore, lowering the age thirteen will not benefit the country.
Teenage brains are distinct from adults. The teenage brain is still developing and will continue to
develop until the age of 25, so they can not fully make decisions. In Understanding the brain from the
University of Rochester Medical Center, it states that connections between the emotional part of the

The Causes And Impacts Of The Avignon Papacy
Even before the Middle Ages, there had always been tension between the government in the Holy
Roman Empire and the Catholic Church. This tension had built over years and years of each trying to
become top dog, and be the one true power within the empire. However, during this time national
monarchies began to show up, such as England and France. These monarchies outside the empire,
were out of its control began to gain their own power. With their newfound power, came even more
conflict with the Church. One of the biggest conflicts was between the pope in the Empire and the
King of France. These conflicts eventually led to the period of time known as the Avignon Papacy,
which lasted about seventy years. The Avignon Papacy was the time during which the pope was
moved from Rome to Avignon, just across the river from France. This marked a huge change within
the empire, and had several important impacts. These impacts include a loss in Church prestige, the
loss of the Roman identity of the Church, as well as a loss of faith in the Church by the people within
the empire. The conflict between the Church and the French Monarchy was centered around their
desire for control. More specifically, it stemmed from Pope Boniface VIII believing that secular
governments should not be able to tax the clergy, or Church revenues without consent from the pope.
This matter was not taken lightly, and the pope issued a Papal Bull, the Clericis Laicos making it clear
to the surrounding monarchies,

Tuskegee Airmen Research Paper
The battle of African Americans for more noteworthy parts in North American military clashes
traverses four centuries. Open doors for African American support in the U.S. military were

on the common disposition in the United States, especially with respect to the U.S. military, that
African Americans did not have the scholarly limit, fitness, and aptitudes to be fruitful contenders.
Political weight applied by the dark press, social equality bunches, verifiably dark schools and

Long before Montana became known as the last best place, Indian people knew this area as the first best place (Whitford, p.2). The Native Americans were promised many things. That they still have not received to this day. Later in the 1800 s, treaties started to begin between the U.S. Government and the Native Americans (Whitford, p.2). The treaties were over the land. In Montana, there are twelve tribal nations. Only eleven have their own homelands. This is because they have either treaties set or have an order. The only Tribe that doe not have their own homeland is Little Shell Band of Chippewa (Whitford, p.3). I think it is very important to understand that each Tribe has its own story about what happened between them as a tribe and the U.S. Government (Whitford, p. 3). How that particular tribe has overcome things that happened in the 1800 s and today. The tribe/reservation that I have chosen to learn ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These tribes lived in what is now Province of Saskatchewan. In 1730, the tribes started to move because of they game they hunted were moving (Whitford, p.11). Because the tribe was so scattered this made it harder for the settlers to enter their territory (Whitford p.11). Not only were they moved, but also hunting for buffalo was a lot harder. They had to learn new ways to survive (Whitford p.11). • 10. The Atomic Bomb On The World War II In August of 1945, President Truman made an important decision to drop two atomic bombs days apart in the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I completely agree with President Truman s decision to drop the atomic bomb on the two Japanese cities because I believe it is the main reason that ended World War II. Being from Malaysia, my grandparents often told me stories of their sufferings during World War II. As Singapore s former Prime Minister concurred, the Japanese soldiers were mean, brutal and vicious towards the civilians, and if the atomic bombs were not dropped to end the war, hundreds of thousands of civilians would have been perished. Another reason I support the use of atomic bombs to end the war is because World War II has the most war related deaths in history of mankind, if the war were to continue, more people would have died and Japan will rise and hold the most power in the world. Many minority Asian countries that were invaded would lose their culture, language and citizens, and hence the world might be different today. The droppings of these two bombs are arguably the most pivotal moment for Japan to end the war. First, Pearl Harbor was destroyed by a surprise Japanese attack in December 7, 1941. With such an important event in modern American History, President Truman has always thought of retaliating to Japan. During the campaign against Democratic candidate Jimmy Carter, the biggest issue was the economy. Reagan blamed Carter for weaknesses in foreign policy and a weak army. The researchers had to become familiar with cultural backgrounds of the students. This was an important variable to understand which provided light as to why certain students acted the ways in ... As Jones and Jones state, ...it is absolutely essential that you understand your students beliefs and values about learning and personal relationships and that you incorporate them into your decision making (Jones Jones, 2016, p.23). Teachers cannot treat all students the same way. Even if your students are not from another country it is important to treat their beliefs and values equally. I do not want to offend any student or parents by assuming that I know how all students should act and respond in a situation. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others (Philippians 2:3 4). This is an appropriate verse for my discussion. It represents everything you need to know about treat people. Think of others and do not assume everyone is the same. This is made possible by knowing others and their beliefs and ... • 26. Fahrenheit 451 Society Analysis When Ron Jones had manipulated his class into a mild form of neo nazism, most, if not all, took notice, with the small exception of his class. His class had no idea what they became until the end of the experiment. This raises the question: How can you tell whether or not something is wrong with society? Now, obviously the whole something is wrong with society boils down to nothing more than an opinion, so as a way to measure it, I will focus on societies that are largely believed and generally accepted to be corrupt, so as much as I d love to talk about how screwed up our current society is, because I m in the unfortunate minority, I d have to stick with the Nazi regime and fictional governments. I will be presenting three different corrupt policies for each argument: Fahrenheit 451 society, another fictional society, and real society The first sign that a government or society is corrupt is cruel or unusual punishment. Governments that punish those that have committed crimes that present no right to be punished. In Fahrenheit 451 , the greatest look we ever get at their punishment (besides the burning houses) is what happened to the poor chap minding his own business. The guy wasn t even doing anything even remotely criminal, but he still was subjected to lethal punishment. Another example is the IDW universe of Transformers. In the comic the last days of peace on cybertron is presented in a very dark and gloomy way. For example, anyone that spoke out against the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is made up of many different pieces that all fit together to make something that keeps the body up right, allows movement, supports weight and protects the spinal cord. There are four different segments of the spinal cord. One of those segments is called the lumbar region. The lumbar region consists of 5 vertebrae that make up the lower back (Lippert, 2011). The lumbar region supports most of the body weight and allows movement. People often do not realize how important the vertebral column is until it is already injured. Injury to the lumbar region can be caused from a vertebral fracture and can be very painful to ones lower back. Etiology Lumbar Vertebral Fractures, also known as a compression fractures are caused from a variety of reasons. Some of the causes can be from high impact trauma or diseases. • 28. Essay on little miss sunshine Little miss sunshine Life to me is a journey you never know where it may lead you! I have chosen to watch and research on the film little miss sunshine as I believe it is a great example of journeys. The film Little Miss Sunshine, directed by Jonathon Dayton and Valerie Faris, is about a dysfunctional family that take a road trip to a beauty contest. Along the way to the little miss sunshine pageant, the family must deal with crushed dreams, heart breaks, and a broken down Volks Wagon bus, leading up to the Surreal Little Miss Sunshine Competition itself. The Hoover family might not be dysfunctional if it wasn t for the personal problems which each character face. Olive s is the main character and the only one in the family who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are many techniques used in this film. Firstly the directors and their team use a variety of different camera techniques to shape our view on the characters, and ultimately change our view in the world. In the opening sequence each character is introduced using different camera shots. For example Olive s father is first projected to the audience as a success. There is a sequence of close ups and mid ranged shots which show Richard confidently speaking in a spotlight at the front of the room. However the cinematic team then use a cut to a point of view shot of what Richard sees when he has finished talking, which allows us to then see how much of a failure he really is, as there is only five, half asleep, bored people in the room and only one person applauds Richards work. This first sequence allows us to see that Richard acts and feels like a winner to himself, but when he is seen with the rest of the world he is a failure and a loser. The directors have used this sequence to shape our understanding of winning and losing as it employs the idea that winning and losing is based on comparing yourself to the rest of the world, instead of being on how you feel and view yourself. Another technique used is the music used in the film. The soundtrack for Little Miss Sunshine is a mix of indie rock and folk music that fits the scenes and overall ... • 29. National Anthem Essay The controversial issue of protesting the National Anthem has plagued the United States since the year of 2016. Disputes have occurred over whether or not the athletes should be able to display their opinion to the public even if the demonstration offends our armed forces. Many say the protests are useless because the kneeling is diverting the public eye from the original issue; the anti protest collection also agrees that the kneeling is not unconstitutional, and it should be restricted by the owners of the teams. Though all of the arguments can be assumed to be correct, one might could argue that these athletes were given this high platform so that they could be allowed to use their freedom of speech to express their views about inequality, injustice, police brutality, etc. and to show equality through the unification of their teams. This act of defiance against the National Anthem was said to be disrespectful to the men and women that have protected this country. Many war veterans agree with this because they believe that the athletes are dishonoring the symbol that gave each of us our freedoms. I stand for our flag and anthem, and I kneel for our fallen. That s what patriots do, (Griggs). The veterans of our country are not the only ones expressing their beliefs on the subject; a publication by the Wall Street Journal states that before the National Anthem in Foxborough, Massachusetts, fans held a sign reading Real Patriots Stand Up For Their Country ( Anthem ... • 34. Benefits Of Lowering The Voting Age In the 26th amendment the phrase Old enough to fight, old enough to vote became a slogan for a youth voting right movement. There was a controversy about lowering the age to vote from 21 to 18 because of military reasons, so president Franklin D. Roosevelt lowered the voting age to 18 for the youth to be involved in helping America. But today there is controversy about decreasing the voting age even lower. Lowering the voting age can affect everyone in negative ways. They are still too young to make mature decisions about life especially deciding the future of the country. Lowering the age gives the responsibility for impulsive, immature kids to choose the fate of the future president; therefore, lowering the age thirteen will not benefit the country. Teenage brains are distinct from adults. The teenage brain is still developing and will continue to develop until the age of 25, so they can not fully make decisions. In Understanding the brain from the University of Rochester Medical Center, it states that connections between the emotional part of the brain and the decision making center are still developing. This shows that the connections make teens combine their feelings and emotions with thinking and decision making so when it s time to vote for a president they do not fully think about it and let ... However, during this time national monarchies began to show up, such as England and France. These monarchies outside the empire, were out of its control began to gain their own power. With their newfound power, came even more conflict with the Church. One of the biggest conflicts was between the pope in the Empire and the King of France. These conflicts eventually led to the period of time known as the Avignon Papacy, which lasted about seventy years. The Avignon Papacy was the time during which the pope was moved from Rome to Avignon, just across the river from France. This marked a huge change within the empire, and had several important impacts. These impacts include a loss in Church prestige, the loss of the Roman identity of the Church, as well as a loss of faith in the Church by the people within the empire. The conflict between the Church and the French Monarchy was centered around their desire for control. More specifically, it stemmed from Pope Boniface VIII believing that secular governments should not be able to tax the clergy, or Church revenues without consent from the pope. This matter was not taken lightly, and the pope issued a Papal Bull, the Clericis Laicos making it clear to the surrounding monarchies, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
