Clay Jannon Literary Analysis
Ever since the introduction of humans on Earth, homo sapiens have dominated this planet. However,
despite human superiority, there have been many times in history where people continue to perceive
different incidents and occurrences in one way, however, in reality, these occurrences have a much
deeper meaning. In the novel, Clay Jannon goes beyond the misunderstanding of life and travels deep
into the real world to find the meaning of life. Robin Sloan, the author of the story, Mr. Penumbra s 24
hours Bookstore, devoted his novel to explain the misconceptions of appearances versus the real life.
Moreover, in the story the author gives a number of examples related to this topic; however, there are
three main precedents that occurred in the story. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, later on during Clay s investigation to reveal the secluded truth, the reality of the Dragon
Chronicles was revealed and it had a much deeper meaning than what the world initially believed.
After Mr. Penumbra s explanation of why Clark Moffat s codex vitae was conserved in the world s
most secret library, Clay thought to himself, the third volume blows middle school minds because it s
a total curve ball. The tone shifts... the plot goes of the trail and began to obey some hidden logic.
People always assumed that Clark Moffat was doing psychedelic drugs, but the truth was even
stranger (Sloan 196). The release of the book initiated the misconception of people pertaining to the
thought that Clark Moffat was mentally ill; however, in reality, the book was a codex vitae made to
decode Manutius book of life. Furthermore, Clark Moffat found the other message in the book of life,
that the key to immortality is one s name and characteristics mentioned in a story which will live
forever. In conclusion, humans are a superior race, advancing towards the future every day, however,
despite people s ability to understand reasons, humans continue not look beyond the presented
appearance to perceive the reality, similar to the precedent of the Dragon Chronicles which occurred

For proper development of bones and muscles, children need to spend at least 3 hours per day at 1.1g.
To provide for the children s proper development in the space settlement, we created the Taggart
Youth Center, named after the Taggart Transcontinental Railroad from Ayn Rand s novel, Atlas
Shrugged. The Taggart Youth Center is a train like system that rotates around on the inside of the large
part of the torus. This system works like a train with the cars containing the schooling and recreational

The students have a traditional schedule where they go to seven classes a day on Tuesdays and
Thursdays, where teachers teach through examples, models, and projects. On the remaining days of
the week, students do not have to go to class. They receive their classwork online, along with teachers
notes, resources to learn, and a place for students to talk and interact about assignments. If students
need help on these days, teachers are available in their classrooms for extra assistance and students are
welcome to come in anytime. This program teaches time management and allows students to have
more time to explore their passions. Students no longer have to spend the exact same amount of time
in an easy class as a hard class. Students decide for themselves what they need to spend time on. For
students in the 11th 12th regular program, they go to classes every day with opportunities to have 2
unscheduled periods for extracurriculars, internships, jobs, or volunteering. Extracurricular and
volunteering opportunities, as well as part time jobs for students, are available in the rotating area so

Emergent Care In this paper I will be playing the part as a chief operating officer (COO) and I am
responsible for a 15 bed Emergency Room (ER). In this scenario I am facing many complaints within
the last year regarding inadequate care, poor Emergency Room management, long wait times, and
patients being sent away because of lack of space, staff, or physicians to provide appropriate care. I

If it is due to the lack of beds for the increasing amount of people coming into the Emergency Room
then I would seek to expand the Emergency Room department and add the amount of beds that are
allowed by the state and government. The staffing will have to be a top priority and make sure that we
have enough staff to cover and have the backup staff to cover people when they are calling in sick. I
would also concentrate on the admissions process of the patients and the triage time and accuracy of
these patients. Each step and specific need of the Emergency Room patient intake and follow up may
need a special worker to make sure that their stay at the Emergency Room is fast and efficient. This
would start with the first people to see you, which is triage. The nurses must have a special room to
take down the information and why the patients are at the Emergency Room. These nurses also need
to see how critical the visit is to the Emergency Room and address them accordingly. For example if
you have someone with a broken arm you want to get their vitals and into the exam room as fast as
possible. If you have a patient who is coming in for a headache and is just seeking some medication
then they would not be as critical as the person who has a severe cut, heart attack, broken limb, etc.
Then you have the Registration personnel come and take care of the necessary paperwork and see if

NYPD Whistleblower Retaliation – Detective Labeled A Rat...
In 2005 NYPD Detective, first grade, James E. Griffith called internal affairs to report he was being
pressured by a fellow officer to lie and take the blame during an internal inquiry for the mishandling
of a homicide investigation by his unit (Goldstein, 2012). Another detective and union official claimed
in his deposition that Griffin was a rat because he went to internal affairs instead of the union
(Marzulli, 2013). According to the United States District Court Eastern District of New York s
memorandum of decision the retaliation was immediate, included adverse personnel actions and
continued though out his career in different units until Detective Griffith was effectively forced to

in the retribution by instigating and allowing the personal slurs, destruction of property, the
withholding or denial of benefits, and the refusal of other officers to work with Griffith diminishing
his ability to do his job. The very division Griffith went to in the first place, internal affairs, was
unable or unwilling to step in and hold anybody accountable for this behavior which created a hostile
working environment and promoted a universal unethical culture.
In this instance, Griffith would not be sheltered from retaliation under the traditional state and federal
whistleblower laws. Federal laws generally protect those that disclose fraud against the government

supervisor first. In the complaint against the State of New York et al the District Court ruled that
Griffith s first amendment rights and first amendment retaliation claims would not be summarily

Descriptive Essay About New York
New York. Phenomenal buildings and structures pierce the sunny sky. The mobbed streets are loaded
with taxi cabs and cars go to and from, in various bearings leaving the fragrance of exhaust surfing
through the air. The congested sidewalks are loaded with individuals frantic to a shop in which the
celebrities dwell. The ongoing flow of pedestrians talking on their cell phones and drinking Starbucks
keeps on coming and rushing from store to store. All the sounds and smell of different things mix to
make one strong scent and noise. But once again, I was disturbed with the voices of the never ending
attractions that call out and envelope me with awe. I once again feel like a young child on shopping
spree in a candy store. I was yearning to discover the New York Experience and ignored my feet that
are swelling from the continuous walking. As I go deeper in the inner city, the aroma of many
restaurants passes through my nostrils and I find myself craving for food. As I walk even further, I
found myself lost in the Big Apple. I turned off of a street and through a narrow gully to a community
of abandoned tenements behind the barbed wire fence. The barbed wire fence divides the subway exit
door which says Do Not Enter in cheap, peeled paint. I look for some people but all I can see are
gangs smoking in the distance. The light that blinded me a minute ago was blotched by the high,
graffiti brick buildings. Even the tiniest fragment of light had not seeped in to enlighten the

Persuasive Essay Video Games
Do you think Video Games should be a sport?
Cameron,Junkins
April/7/16
What if I told you that VideoGames is a sport? Do you agree? I strongly agree that Gaming should be
a sport. I believe so because it requires skill, strategy, and team effort. Esports players known as
Gamers train for hours including days, till they have their tournaments. ESports is rising higher and
higher each year, for an example Last year s League of Legends tournament peaked at 11.2 million
viewers, for example, whereas the NHL Finals only hit 8 million. That just astonishes me, hockey has
been around, more than these video games have, it s just amazing to see how far gaming has reached.
Their are so many points in why I think Videogames is a sport, like watching video games, is just like
watching sports, they have there moments, and there in a tournament for a prize. In july of 2014, an
outstanding 11,000 people stuffed themselves into a basketball arena in seattle. They were not there to
see a basketball game, but to watch gamers compete for 11 million in prize money. Like that just
astonishes me about how many people watch just one game, compared to a normal basketball game. It

games every day. I think eSports can take their competitive gaming even further, with the new virtual

Benjamin Franklin s Influence On American History

Franklin was one of the many people to discover new outcomes in science experiments, take part of
important historical events in the newborn America and was the main reason why America evolved as
an Independent Nation today. The thirteen colonies was ruled by the British in the eighteenth century.
These colonies were located along the eastern coast of America. The colonies started at New
Hampshire and ended in Georgia. Benjamin was born on January 6, 1706, in Boston, Massachusetts.

machine for the whole city to use. Since they received this donation, Ben and a couple of his friends
began to take interest in electricity because that machine gave such a great amount of curiosity to all
philadelphians. Franklin wrote a book on his studies on electricity in 1751, this copy went through
three different languages including english. One of his experiments on electricity was trying to
identify the difference between thunderbolts and electricity. Ben flew a kite in a dangerous
thunderstorm in france on June tenth, 1752. With the help of his son, William, they hooked up his kite
to a silk string, tying an metal key to where the bolt would strike it. Ben s educated guess was that the
lightning itself was an electrical phenomenon, and the electrical effect of the lightning bolt striking it
might be able to transfer to another object. Also the causes and effects in the experiment could be
recognized as electricity. Concluding this experiment, it successfully showed that the energy from the
bolt was static energy. Ben grew more popularity conducting this

Chile have a long history and they were able to defend their independence despite many raids by
giving many sacrifices. But a final defeat their on the hands of Chilean army forced them to be at the

The Mapuche community has knocked the door of many authorities to let their grievances be
addressed, and justice be provided. They have made many protests but all fell on the deaf ears of
concerned authorities. Their appeal and protest is based on retaining ancestral lands, concerns over
environmental and social impacts, and the secrecy of all process. Despite all protests of local
communities, ENDESA and IFC were initially reluctant to consider the demands of the Mapuche
people. Even the audit reports of DR Downing, an anthropologist hired by IFC, about the social and
environmental impacts and weakness of the project were not fully publicized as it found substantial
evidence that the Pehuen foundation has failed to compensate all affected people adequately.
Lately, because of the international pressure and fear of losing credibility IFC server notice to
ENDESA that failure to meet the environmental conditions of loan would result in declaration of a

private development bank. Side by side, Mr Downing filed three back to back human rights violations
complaints on the grounds of intentional and willful violation of human and civil rights of the
community. Other inquires were also conducted by Worlds Bank inspection panel, AAA Committee

Fshore Banking Institutions
The offshore banking institution is regulated in three different ways, through agency, subsidiary, and
foreign branches. These kinds of institutions are difficult to regulate because countries cannot impose
reserve requirements on its own banks overseas branches (Grittersova, 15). According to Singer,
regulators enact tighter capital requirements without the explicit intervention of congress. As banks
assumed more and more risk, regulators responded by imposing greater capital requirements without
the explicit intervention of congress (Singer, 49). This makes it difficult for the international banking
to have restriction on the bank examinations, capital requirements, and assets. Internationally, the
safety net main purpose is to establish an international standard that will minimize the power of the
regulators and protect the consumers that are within the jurisdiction. Because of the existence of
contagion there has been an important institution that has intervened as a disciplined which is the
international lender of last resort (189). Overall The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision was
composed of the G10 central banks and national bank regulators in where they negotiate international
banking standards, according to Fratianni, the G10 is small, homogenous, and rich in intelligence on
financial markets with international financial transaction in the world. During the 1980 s the U.S.
largest commercial banks became endangered by the dept. crisis of Latin

Premarital Counseling Among Christian Couples and the Effects on Divorce Rates
William Q. McCardle
Liberty University Abstract
Premarital counseling is an option that is often prompted by clergy as a positive experience to explore
the familiarities, differences, and expectations that couples hold prior to the marriage commitment.
The goal of premarital counseling is to promote discussion of difficult questions that may arise after
the nuptial vows. Examining the effects of premarital counseling among Christian couples will permit
the exploration of how it alters divorce rates. The effectiveness of premarital counseling will be
analyzed and deliberated using statistics, data, interviews, surveys, and library research. Targeted ...

Many young couples who are entering into marriage are caught up in the whirlwind of engagement
parties, wedding plans, planning a new home, and meeting new family members; often, they cease to
look beyond the present and think about the issues that may arise in the relationship during the future
(Altenhofen, 2008).
In some instances, couples are ill prepared for marriage because they do not have a relationship that
has considered and worked through any type of conflict resolution (Phegley, 2003). Clergy who are
entrusted to conduct the marriage ceremonies have a duty to assist couples in discussing and facing
the difficulties that will arise as a marriage develops (McGeorge Carlson, 2006). Lack of
communication can lead to many complications that often lead to individuals going their separate
ways in a marriage (Clinton Sibcy, 2006). Through statistical information, research, interviews, and
biblical accounts, one can determine whether premarital counseling among Christian couples has an
effect on the divorce rate. The institution of marriage is blessed and instructed by God. Hebrews 13:4
of the King James Version of the Bible, instructs that, Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed
undefiled. (Hebrews 13:4, King James Version). Whenever Christ began his ministry on Earth, he

I. Intro
Understanding the doctrine of justification by faith should be every Christian primary objective, for it
represents the foundation of our entire religious belief. While justification by faith has been the subject
of many debates, and the target of many who are trying to undermine the Christian s faith, it remains
the most important doctrine in a Christian s life, for it is the only doctrine that separates the Christian
faith from many other religions and sects. This theological doctrine has been debated and re debated
for years. What is the reasons behind all these disagreement? Why can t human accept the free gift of
salvation without associated it with extra work? Is it because we are trying to justify ourselves? Or, is
it because the human race is too far evil that it cannot accept being justified as righteous before God?
Maybe Thomas Oden put it exactly, when he stated:
We in our self assertiveness would much prefer to justify ourselves rather than receive God s free
gift....The message of justification is difficult to accept because it seems too good to be true. It says:
Stop trying to justify yourself. You do not need to. If we wake up one day and realize, Hey! I don t
need to justify myself! then shackles will fall like dropped popcorn, and our inner soul will feel an
exhilarating liberation.

In the article, the reader is presented two cases of a manager and an employee trying to make the best
out of each other. The article starts off with the first case about Whitney McCarthy, and it discusses
how she prioritized everything that she would need to do her job efficiently. Whitney s first priority
was getting a clear understanding of what her precise responsibilities were. I agree with this, because
it would be inefficient to start working and completely do it wrong. Mistakes happen in the workplace,
but if they can be avoided by simply asking questions and reflecting on that information then I would
prefer to do that. The second priority, which is similar to the first priority, for Whitney was to get up to

Pros And Cons Of Roman Government
The Roman government is very unique compared to other societies. The majority of societies were
either controlled by monarchy or democracy, however the Romans found a way to have both. The
Roman empire had both a senate and an emperor. The Senate was Democracy which was made up by
electing officials who although made laws couldn t finalize the law without approval from emperor.
The Emperor made up the Monarchy part having the final say in all important objectives. The Roman
Emperor was very much like our modern day president. He oversaw the senate often conducting the
meetings. Even though he conducted the Senate, he actually approved only what he deemed worth for
finalization. Some of the most famous leaders in history such as Julius Ceasar, Augsustus Ceasar, and
Nero were Emperors of Rome. The Senate and the Roman People (SPQR, or Senatus Populusque
Romanus), described the difference in class between the Senate and ordinary people. The Roman
People were all citizens who were not members of the Senate or the emperor. Power was vested in the

The role of human resources is also very important in maintaining an effective health care industry. If
the managerial personnel are performing their duties effectively and efficiently in a health care
organization, the organization will automatically progress. Additionally, the organization will provide
the improved outcomes of the patient health and health care delivery as well. This is so because
human resource is also considered as one of the most important inputs to effective health care
services. Although there exists a variety of challenges in inducting qualified human resource
professionals but there is a strong need to solve this issue. (Kabene, 2006)
The challenges associated with the HRM i.e. human resource management includes the distribution
and composition of health care work force. In addition to this, the issues related to the training of the
work force are also a challenge for the human resource management. The relocation of the health
workers is also a great concern. Moreover, the degree of economic development is also a great
challenge that negatively impacts the level of performance shown by a health care organization. These
challenges must be addressed properly in order to have an effective health care delivery anywhere in
the world.
If we compare the health care financing of past and that of recent times, there exists a dramatic shift in
the trends of the issue. In the past times, the

Teen Pregnancy Rates By Jacqueline Sedgwick s Article,...
One major problem in America s society today is teen pregnancy rates. In fact, teen sexual activity,
pregnancy, and childbearing are associated with substantial social, economic, and health costs
(Sedgwick). However, this problem is not one without a solution. The rise of teen pregnancy rates can
be prevented and reversed by providing better access to birth control for teens, eliminating the
negative connotation that accompanies abstinence, and implementing more efficient sex education in
public schools. One solution to preventing teen pregnancy would be to provide better access to birth
control for teenagers. In Jacqueline Sedgwick s article, American Adolescents and Emergency
Contraceptive Pill Access, she argues that the American teenage pregnancy and abortion rates are
higher than any other nation due to the irregular or improper usage of birth control. Many American
teenagers are unaware of how to properly use the contraceptives and mistakenly find themselves in
difficult situations, but with more knowledge about birth control, teens will be able to properly protect
themselves from unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. According to the article, the
federal court order the US Food and Drug Administration to make emergency contraceptive pills
available to teens over the age of seventeen without a prescription (Sedgwick). Allowing easy access
to birth control will enable teens to be prepared and inhibit them from unintended pregnancies that are
likely

The Elements Of Style By William Strunk Jr.
William Strunk Jr., an English professor at Cornell University in 1919 required his students to have
the textbook The Elements of Style, written by William Strunk Jr. himself. It was referred to as the
little book and was a forty three page summary of the case for cleanliness, accuracy and brevity in the
use of English (Strunk White, 2000). These rules are in the form of sharp commands, shining light on
Sergeant Strunk s personality and approach to teaching. E.B. White, a former student of Strunk,
revised the book he was given, years after his professor passed away. White does not soften the direct
orders of the original book, but preserves the flavor of his discontent while enlarging the scope of the
discussion (Strunk White, 2000 xiv). The Elements of Style provides the readers with a convenient
reference for grammar, while emphasizing the importance of omitting needless words, using concrete
language and active voice all in a suitable design. When he delivered his oration on brevity to the
class, he leaned forward over his desk, grasped his coast lapels in his hands, and, in a husky,
conspiratorial voice, said, Rule Seventeen. Omit needless words! Omit needless words! Omit needless
words! (Strunk White, 2000, xv). Strunk provides an image for the most important aspect of his book.
The repetition of this rule throughout the entire book, proves not only the importance of it to Professor
Strunk, but to writing as a whole. The author s advocate trimming

How Does Different Levels of Pollution in Streams or Ponds...
How does Different Levels of Pollution in Streams or Ponds Affect Macro invertebrate Species?
Organisms without back bones are Macro Invertebrate species (Seminole.Wateratlas.Usf.Edu ,2012) .
These organisms are small but can be seen without a magnifying glass (Waitakere.Govt.Nz , 2002) .
Size ranges from 3 20mm long (Waitakere.Govt.Nz , 2002) .Insects, crustaceans, mollusks, worms,
leeches, and anemones are classified a Macro invertebrate species (Waitakere.Govt.Nz , 2002).
Streams that are free from pollution will contain a variety of these animals. Streams that have higher
pollution levels will less of these animals. Macro invertebrates that live in the stream can determine

Piping the stream is when the streams are piped underground to permit city expansion
(Waitakere.Govt.Nz , 2002). Piping the streams can cause the invertebrates to starve. The animals will
starve because algae need light to survive (Waitakere.Govt.Nz , 2002). In the pipes, algae are not
receiving any light causing the plant to die .Invertebrates can t eat leaves because there are no trees in
the pipes. Straightening the streams is when the streams are smoothed out or straightened with
concrete (Waitakere.Govt.Nz , 2002). This can cause the stream to lack objects such as rocks. The
invertebrates attach to these objects to prevent being washed down the stream(Waitakere.Govt.Nz ,
2002). If the stream lacks objects invertebrates will be washed down the stream. The objects in the
stream also used for protection from predators (Waitakere.Govt.Nz , 2002). Fewer objects in the
stream will result in less hiding places for invertebrates (Waitakere.Govt.Nz , 2002). Therefore,
predators will easily find them. Flow reduction is when some water from the stream is taken and sent
elsewhere (Waitakere.Govt.Nz , 2002). This can happen in many ways. One way this can occur is
when water is taken out of the stream for urban supplies and agriculture (Waitakere.Govt.Nz , 2002).
This can result in making the stream smaller or destroying the steam entirely (Waitakere.Govt.Nz ,
2002). If the stream gets reduced in sized or destroyed most

Let s Take Football Players
Let s take football players, for instance. During the season many are told to bulk up or gain weight.
But what happens after the season is over? By bulking up during the season the players are eating
many more calories than necessary and are often eating the wrong foods. So after the season is over
the athletes have established bad habits and are carrying excess weight around. Now, on the opposite
side of the spectrum, many athletes are not eating enough. Their caloric intake is too low for the
amount of physical activity being partaken in. Sports that are known for having problems with this are
ballet, distance running, wrestling, cheerleading, and swimming. According to NPR, skinny ballerinas

When athletes are not properly fueled they may become fatigued, and they are more prone to illness
and injury. This will most certainly affect their performance. But there is something we can do about
this. Matzkin says that anytime a young female athlete comes to her office with shin splits or fractures,
she now asks about nutrition and menstruation. We may be able to identify the root cause of bone
mineral density problems, she says, and patients can be helped early to chart a new course in eating. It
s not just about eating enough, Matzkin says. It s also about eating the right things like fruits,
vegetables, protein and foods rich in calcium and vitamin D. It s critical to build bone when you can,
she says, because there s literally a countdown to how long women have to build strong bones. (Patti
Neighmond) Neighmond in this radio show says that it is all about what they eat. By not fueling their
bodies properly these athletes are setting themselves up for failure. Now looking at the opposite end of

The Construction Of Occupational Specialty Codes Essay
On September 29, 2016, the U. S. Navy announced that it would modernize the enlisted ratings of the
Navy. The plan includes the installation of occupational specialty codes. These codes are similar to
those used in the other services. The plan also called for sailors to be referred to by only their rank,
such as Petty Officer First Class. The modernization of the enlisted rating system has caused morale
issues in the fleet, makes job field detailing better, and aligns with the other branches. First, there will
be morale problems in the fleet with the modernization plan. The plan discarded a tradition that goes

about the plan that, It seemed to come out of nowhere without much notice, so a lot of people were
surprised it happened (Dickstein, 2016). Sailors are very protective of their rates, and many have

Alchemy In Ancient Egypt
Alchemy is used to change one element into another and make material from existing elements. Most
of the original alchemists in Egypt tried to change common metal such as iron and lead into gold. It is
a quest that has been interesting for people for thousands of years. Although most alchemists want to
produce gold, many other alchemist use alchemy for medical purposes. They make medicine by using
alchemy and some of the alchemists want to create a panacea which can cure any disease. ( Magic ).
Because other metals are less perfect than gold, it makes people believe that nature has create a gold.

Problem Strategy In observing the Dept. of Motor Vehicles transaction process, it demonstrates a
complicated and redundant registration structure. In the licensing center, drivers must navigate the
decentralized facility, moving from station to station with documents and verification forms (Dresang,
2012). In this situation, the driver must have the correct paperwork and follow the right line order or
risk restarting the process. Therefore, the DMV must consider training current employees to process
all required paperwork and payments as well as provide license plates. As a result, the registration
process is centralized and streamlined because the organization creates a one stop processing center.
Feasibility The training of the current staff involves an individualistic level change, where the
organization focuses on improving employees to create an efficient processing system (Miller, 2002).
In creating a centralized process, it requires significant staff training and development. The Human
Resources (HR) department will analyze the workload, environment, and schedules to create training
plans [in house training videos, manuals, and on site instructions] and adjust job descriptions and offer
compensation. The organization will provide cross training and manage the employee s knowledge,

Matthew Chapter 5
The Gospels of Matthew and Luke
Matthew chapter five is a sermon by Jesus. It tells us what perspective we ought to have in dealings
with each other and with our attitude. Those who are weak shall be strong, and those who mourn shall
be comforted tell of positive actions or humility being rewarded. Jesus goes through a list of these,
exalting the poor and the weak. Mt. 5:17 20 is between the first section of what actions are righteous
and before the section of what seem to be his own version of commandments relative to the law. It
says that all shall be done and judged through and by him. So he gave a perspective on the humble and

He had great authority, and he was supremely obedient. He had power, but was humble and served to
glorify God with that power. He was depicted as one who s every action was oriented towards doing
the will of God. It is a standard that Matthew gives to nobody else.
First of all, Matthew was a Jew who was convinced that the messiah had come. Many of his writings
were Jewish, for that reason. However, he took issue with Jewish leadership and the blinding methods
they used. He used this perspective and wrote anti Jewish versus. Matthew respected and looked
positively upon Jewish Law and much of the Oral Torah. He did not like what was going on in
Yavneh, though. The way the rabbis there were defining these laws was not consistent with how he
saw the law. He saw the Pharisees as hypocrites who did not have his perspective on what was going
on in the world. For this reason, he rejected the emerging authority of the rabbis at Yavneh. He was
also afraid of those who claimed his own heritage but were leading the Jewish people blindly. The
purpose of Matthew s gospel was to, tell the story of how the coming of the Messiah has inaugurated a
new phase in the history of God s people and to explain how they were expected to live in that new
age. (Barr) Luke saw the death of Jesus as another step in an upward progression to glory for Christ. It

There are many advantages for corporations, banks, or investors to look into investing or issuing
Eurobonds. One of the advantages is that Eurobonds is that they have no currency exchange risk
because the bond is issued and repaid in U.S. dollars. This is an advantage because the dollar is the
reserve currency of the world. These particular bonds are also more favorable to the issuer because
they are easily transferable and require less investment and effort. The income is for the most part
untaxed and the coupon interest needs to be paid is less than that of other international bonds. In
general, corporate bonds have many advantages to the company and the investor. The investor is
actually safer when they decide to buy corporate bonds in comparison to stocks. When investing in
stocks there is uncertainty in the return you will receive. However when investing in bonds you know
the amount that you will receive in certain increments at a set time. Most bonds have fixed coupon
payments for the duration of the bond. These coupon payments are usually semi annually, yearly,
monthly, quarterly, or at the maturity of the bond. Also the payments are set at the issuance of the
bond so the bondholder receives a known fixed income when they purchase a bond from a company.

Difference Between Mortgage And Mortgage
What Is Mortgage And Mortgage Refinancing ?
What is a Mortgage?
A mortgage is nothing more than a real estate loan. This loan is basically called as a mortgage as it has
some distinct characteristics. The mechanism of such a loan is also pretty simple. A person who is
looking forward to purchase property, can apply to a mortgage lender. After receiving the application
of the borrower, the lender analyzes three important facts:
1. The property that is to be purchased with the help of the loan, its market value and its current
condition.
2. The second thing that is analyzed by the lender is the repaying capacity of the applicant.
3. Some personal details of the applicant such as the spending habits (such as the use of credit cards),
educational qualifications, payment of taxes is also analyzed. If the applicant has a family, then details

Comparing Sigourney And Thoreau, And Henry David Thoreau
Sigourney and Thoreau
The authors Lydia Huntley Sigourney, and Henry David Thoreau, both demonstrate similarities and
differences in their works. While comparing both essays, it is evident that both authors share similar
views on environmental issues, and at the same time demonstrate great emotional journeys in their
works. The extraordinary beauty of nature appears frequently in both pieces. Both authors focus their
personal experiences, however, within different subject matters. The way in which the authors express
their beliefs and feelings is demonstrated through personal life endeavors. It is apparent that the
authors are expressing their perception of the atrocities committed to the environment by humans.
In Journals from Tuesday, December 30th by, Henry David Thoreau, he talks about hearing a saw and
then seeing two men cutting down a tree. Thoreau is describing the dramatic crash and fall of the tree
while expressing his thoughts and opinions on the tree being cut down. Thoreau calls the men

In fallen Forests by Lydia Huntley Sigourney, she discusses how men are destroying forests and how
large sections of trees are being decimated by careless individuals. She expresses how the trees have
created and done so much for the ecosystem from which they live and at some point in time the
civilization will realize the depth of their destruction. She describes how this action not only effects

The Effects Of Climate Change And Variability Essay
Abstract
Climate change and variability poses a major challenge to current and future productivity of major
crops. During the last century, there has been a rapid increase in various greenhouse gas emissions,
leading to warmer temperatures, drought stress, and increased exposure to ultraviolet B radiation. At
the present rate of population increase and green house gas emissions it is predicted that future climate
will be warmer and drier, and there will be more occurrences of short episodes of extreme events of
various stresses. Crops often exposed to short episodes of various abiotic stresses or its combination
during its critical period of growth stages can limit its yield potential. Understanding of impact of
climate change drivers and climate variability will be critical in developing crop management
strategies to combat negative effect of climate change and variability. This review provides an
overview of the influences of elevated carbon dioxide, high temperature stress, drought stress,
elevated UV B radiation and their interaction on various physiological, growth and yield processes of
various crops. Elevated carbon dioxide will increase crop yield in C3 plants under optimum growth
conditions. However, under high temperature, drought and UV B stress conditions there will be very
limited or no benefits of elevated CO2 on grain yield. It is predicted that global mean surface air
temperatures will increase in the range of 1.5 to 4.5°C by end of this century. Similarly,

Worldwide. Most employees in the truck transportation and warehousing industry work in small
establishments. Fewer than 5 workers are employed by 62 percent of trucking and warehousing
establishments. Consolidation in the industry has reduced the number of small, specialized firms.
Trucking and warehousing establishments are found throughout the United States. The differential in
growth between the freight industry and the trucking industry could be the factor that pushes trucking
vacancies. The trucking industry has a current growth rate of 1%, while the freight industry is seeing a

which results in more employees needed by trucking companies. The combination of all these things

slower growth rate for the trucking industry and could be a cause for more concern as the trend

Cardiopulmonary Pressure
I. Abstract: The effects on different aspects of cardiopulmonary fitness, respiratory rate, mean arterial
pressures, electrical activity of the heart, and pulse rate, were all tested on Freshmen Biology students
in regards to how exercise affects the results and if there is a difference between males and females.
Students did a moderate intensity exercise for two minutes, and the results were recorded. There was
at least a slight gender difference between all three measurements; for all three, males, on average, had
a higher net change after exercise. This, however, could have been in part due to errors. In addition,
both genders saw an increase after exercise in all three measurements, which was expected. In the
future, one should repeat the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Males, on average, increased their mean arterial pressure by 12.835 units. In contrast, females
increased their mean arterial pressure by 2.25 units; however, there was one girl whose mean arterial
pressure dropped after exercising instead of increasing. Both males and females all recovered from the
exercise within the four minutes given to recover.
The pulse rate of both male and female genders increased collectively following exercise, but the
males increased drastically more on average than the females . Male pulse rate had an average change
of 30 units, where as the females pulse rate had an average increase of 19.5 units. One aspect that
might have influenced the female results was the fact that one female s pulse decreased after exercise
instead of increasing. Two males and two females were able to recover their pulse after exercise near
to the rest numbers, but the other four people were unable to return to their normal pulse.
Finally, the graph taken from one group doing the electrical activity is shown at the end of the results.
It is a standard graph of an ECG, and the specific waves/points are labeled on the graph.

  • 2. Clay Jannon Literary Analysis Ever since the introduction of humans on Earth, homo sapiens have dominated this planet. However, despite human superiority, there have been many times in history where people continue to perceive different incidents and occurrences in one way, however, in reality, these occurrences have a much deeper meaning. In the novel, Clay Jannon goes beyond the misunderstanding of life and travels deep into the real world to find the meaning of life. Robin Sloan, the author of the story, Mr. Penumbra s 24 hours Bookstore, devoted his novel to explain the misconceptions of appearances versus the real life. Moreover, in the story the author gives a number of examples related to this topic; however, there are three main precedents that occurred in the story. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, later on during Clay s investigation to reveal the secluded truth, the reality of the Dragon Chronicles was revealed and it had a much deeper meaning than what the world initially believed. After Mr. Penumbra s explanation of why Clark Moffat s codex vitae was conserved in the world s most secret library, Clay thought to himself, the third volume blows middle school minds because it s a total curve ball. The tone shifts... the plot goes of the trail and began to obey some hidden logic. People always assumed that Clark Moffat was doing psychedelic drugs, but the truth was even stranger (Sloan 196). The release of the book initiated the misconception of people pertaining to the thought that Clark Moffat was mentally ill; however, in reality, the book was a codex vitae made to decode Manutius book of life. Furthermore, Clark Moffat found the other message in the book of life, that the key to immortality is one s name and characteristics mentioned in a story which will live forever. In conclusion, humans are a superior race, advancing towards the future every day, however, despite people s ability to understand reasons, humans continue not look beyond the presented appearance to perceive the reality, similar to the precedent of the Dragon Chronicles which occurred in the ... If students need help on these days, teachers are available in their classrooms for extra assistance and students are welcome to come in anytime. This program teaches time management and allows students to have more time to explore their passions. Students no longer have to spend the exact same amount of time in an easy class as a hard class. If it is due to the lack of beds for the increasing amount of people coming into the Emergency Room then I would seek to expand the Emergency Room department and add the amount of beds that are allowed by the state and government. The staffing will have to be a top priority and make sure that we have enough staff to cover and have the backup staff to cover people when they are calling in sick. I would also concentrate on the admissions process of the patients and the triage time and accuracy of these patients. Each step and specific need of the Emergency Room patient intake and follow up may need a special worker to make sure that their stay at the Emergency Room is fast and efficient. This would start with the first people to see you, which is triage. The nurses must have a special room to take down the information and why the patients are at the Emergency Room. These nurses also need to see how critical the visit is to the Emergency Room and address them accordingly. For example if you have someone with a broken arm you want to get their vitals and into the exam room as fast as possible. If you have a patient who is coming in for a headache and is just seeking some medication then they would not be as critical as the person who has a severe cut, heart attack, broken limb, etc. Then you have the Registration personnel come and take care of the necessary paperwork and see if someone else is able to do it for the ... • 6. Descriptive Essay About New York New York. Phenomenal buildings and structures pierce the sunny sky. The mobbed streets are loaded with taxi cabs and cars go to and from, in various bearings leaving the fragrance of exhaust surfing through the air. The congested sidewalks are loaded with individuals frantic to a shop in which the celebrities dwell. The ongoing flow of pedestrians talking on their cell phones and drinking Starbucks keeps on coming and rushing from store to store. All the sounds and smell of different things mix to make one strong scent and noise. But once again, I was disturbed with the voices of the never ending attractions that call out and envelope me with awe. I once again feel like a young child on shopping spree in a candy store. I was yearning to discover the New York Experience and ignored my feet that are swelling from the continuous walking. As I go deeper in the inner city, the aroma of many restaurants passes through my nostrils and I find myself craving for food. As I walk even further, I found myself lost in the Big Apple. I turned off of a street and through a narrow gully to a community of abandoned tenements behind the barbed wire fence. The barbed wire fence divides the subway exit door which says Do Not Enter in cheap, peeled paint. I look for some people but all I can see are gangs smoking in the distance. I strongly agree that Gaming should be a sport. I believe so because it requires skill, strategy, and team effort. Esports players known as Gamers train for hours including days, till they have their tournaments. ESports is rising higher and higher each year, for an example Last year s League of Legends tournament peaked at 11.2 million viewers, for example, whereas the NHL Finals only hit 8 million. That just astonishes me, hockey has been around, more than these video games have, it s just amazing to see how far gaming has reached. Their are so many points in why I think Videogames is a sport, like watching video games, is just like watching sports, they have there moments, and there in a tournament for a prize. In july of 2014, an outstanding 11,000 people stuffed themselves into a basketball arena in seattle. They were not there to see a basketball game, but to watch gamers compete for 11 million in prize money. Franklin wrote a book on his studies on electricity in 1751, this copy went through three different languages including english. With the help of his son, William, they hooked up his kite to a silk string, tying an metal key to where the bolt would strike it. Ben s educated guess was that the lightning itself was an electrical phenomenon, and the electrical effect of the lightning bolt striking it might be able to transfer to another object. • 10. Fshore Banking Institutions The offshore banking institution is regulated in three different ways, through agency, subsidiary, and foreign branches. These kinds of institutions are difficult to regulate because countries cannot impose reserve requirements on its own banks overseas branches (Grittersova, 15). According to Singer, regulators enact tighter capital requirements without the explicit intervention of congress. As banks assumed more and more risk, regulators responded by imposing greater capital requirements without the explicit intervention of congress (Singer, 49). This makes it difficult for the international banking to have restriction on the bank examinations, capital requirements, and assets. Internationally, the safety net main purpose is to establish an international standard that will minimize the power of the regulators and protect the consumers that are within the jurisdiction. Because of the existence of contagion there has been an important institution that has intervened as a disciplined which is the international lender of last resort (189). The goal of premarital counseling is to promote discussion of difficult questions that may arise after the nuptial vows. The effectiveness of premarital counseling will be analyzed and deliberated using statistics, data, interviews, surveys, and library research. Targeted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many young couples who are entering into marriage are caught up in the whirlwind of engagement parties, wedding plans, planning a new home, and meeting new family members; often, they cease to look beyond the present and think about the issues that may arise in the relationship during the future (Altenhofen, 2008). In some instances, couples are ill prepared for marriage because they do not have a relationship that has considered and worked through any type of conflict resolution (Phegley, 2003). Clergy who are entrusted to conduct the marriage ceremonies have a duty to assist couples in discussing and facing the difficulties that will arise as a marriage develops (McGeorge Carlson, 2006). Lack of communication can lead to many complications that often lead to individuals going their separate ways in a marriage (Clinton Sibcy, 2006). Through statistical information, research, interviews, and biblical accounts, one can determine whether premarital counseling among Christian couples has an effect on the divorce rate. The institution of marriage is blessed and instructed by God. Hebrews 13:4 of the King James Version of the Bible, instructs that, Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled. Intro Understanding the doctrine of justification by faith should be every Christian primary objective, for it represents the foundation of our entire religious belief. While justification by faith has been the subject of many debates, and the target of many who are trying to undermine the Christian s faith, it remains the most important doctrine in a Christian s life, for it is the only doctrine that separates the Christian faith from many other religions and sects. This theological doctrine has been debated and re debated for years. What is the reasons behind all these disagreement? Why can t human accept the free gift of salvation without associated it with extra work? Is it because we are trying to justify ourselves? Or, is it because the human race is too far evil that it cannot accept being justified as righteous before God? Maybe Thomas Oden put it exactly, when he stated: We in our self assertiveness would much prefer to justify ourselves rather than receive God s free gift....The message of justification is difficult to accept because it seems too good to be true. It says: Stop trying to justify yourself. You do not need to. If we wake up one day and realize, Hey! I don t need to justify myself! then shackles will fall like dropped popcorn, and our inner soul will feel an exhilarating liberation. What ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The article starts off with the first case about Whitney McCarthy, and it discusses how she prioritized everything that she would need to do her job efficiently. Whitney s first priority was getting a clear understanding of what her precise responsibilities were. I agree with this, because it would be inefficient to start working and completely do it wrong. Mistakes happen in the workplace, but if they can be avoided by simply asking questions and reflecting on that information then I would prefer to do that. The second priority, which is similar to the first priority, for Whitney was to get up to speed on her focus area. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The majority of societies were either controlled by monarchy or democracy, however the Romans found a way to have both. The Roman empire had both a senate and an emperor. The Senate was Democracy which was made up by electing officials who although made laws couldn t finalize the law without approval from emperor. The Emperor made up the Monarchy part having the final say in all important objectives. The Roman Emperor was very much like our modern day president. He oversaw the senate often conducting the meetings. Even though he conducted the Senate, he actually approved only what he deemed worth for finalization. • 20. Teen Pregnancy Rates By Jacqueline Sedgwick s Article,... One major problem in America s society today is teen pregnancy rates. In fact, teen sexual activity, pregnancy, and childbearing are associated with substantial social, economic, and health costs (Sedgwick). However, this problem is not one without a solution. The rise of teen pregnancy rates can be prevented and reversed by providing better access to birth control for teens, eliminating the negative connotation that accompanies abstinence, and implementing more efficient sex education in public schools. One solution to preventing teen pregnancy would be to provide better access to birth control for teenagers. In Jacqueline Sedgwick s article, American Adolescents and Emergency Contraceptive Pill Access, she argues that the American teenage pregnancy and abortion rates are higher than any other nation due to the irregular or improper usage of birth control. Many American teenagers are unaware of how to properly use the contraceptives and mistakenly find themselves in difficult situations, but with more knowledge about birth control, teens will be able to properly protect themselves from unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. According to the article, the federal court order the US Food and Drug Administration to make emergency contraceptive pills available to teens over the age of seventeen without a prescription (Sedgwick). Allowing easy access to birth control will enable teens to be prepared and inhibit them from unintended pregnancies that are likely ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Elements Of Style By William Strunk Jr. William Strunk Jr., an English professor at Cornell University in 1919 required his students to have the textbook The Elements of Style, written by William Strunk Jr. himself. It was referred to as the little book and was a forty three page summary of the case for cleanliness, accuracy and brevity in the use of English (Strunk White, 2000). These rules are in the form of sharp commands, shining light on Sergeant Strunk s personality and approach to teaching. E.B. White, a former student of Strunk, revised the book he was given, years after his professor passed away. White does not soften the direct orders of the original book, but preserves the flavor of his discontent while enlarging the scope of the discussion (Strunk White, 2000 xiv). The Elements of Style provides the readers with a convenient reference for grammar, while emphasizing the importance of omitting needless words, using concrete language and active voice all in a suitable design. When he delivered his oration on brevity to the class, he leaned forward over his desk, grasped his coast lapels in his hands, and, in a husky, conspiratorial voice, said, Rule Seventeen. Omit needless words! Omit needless words! Omit needless words! (Strunk White, 2000, xv). Strunk provides an image for the most important aspect of his book. Throughout the initial days of Desert Storm, United States PATRIOT batteries defended the countries of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Israel from a barrage of Iraqi ballistic missile. This began and solidified United States alliances with Middle Eastern countries that remain to this day. Looking at the era surrounding Desert Storm, one can see the accelerated development of PATRIOT and US Air Defense through failures, successes, and lessons learned. During the Iraq / Iran War, with United States support, the Iraqi military became the 4th largest military in the world. Due in large part to this, military leaders credited PATRIOT with giving coalition forces air superiority. In the 43 days of combat, the Allied coalition air sorties totaled 44,000, or more than one bombing sortie per minute since the start of the operation (Englehardt, 1991). The dominance in the air allowed the fighters and bombers freedom to maneuver against SCUD sites, air fields, and other Iraqi assets essential to continue the occupation of Kuwait. However, amongst one of the greatest failures in the Gulf War was the inability to engage a SCUD that hit US military barracks killing 28 Army Reservists, and wounding 98. Comparing Sigourney And Thoreau, And Henry David Thoreau Sigourney and Thoreau The authors Lydia Huntley Sigourney, and Henry David Thoreau, both demonstrate similarities and differences in their works. While comparing both essays, it is evident that both authors share similar views on environmental issues, and at the same time demonstrate great emotional journeys in their works. The extraordinary beauty of nature appears frequently in both pieces. Both authors focus their personal experiences, however, within different subject matters. The way in which the authors express their beliefs and feelings is demonstrated through personal life endeavors. It is apparent that the authors are expressing their perception of the atrocities committed to the environment by humans. • 40. The Effects Of Climate Change And Variability Essay Abstract Climate change and variability poses a major challenge to current and future productivity of major crops. During the last century, there has been a rapid increase in various greenhouse gas emissions, leading to warmer temperatures, drought stress, and increased exposure to ultraviolet B radiation. At the present rate of population increase and green house gas emissions it is predicted that future climate will be warmer and drier, and there will be more occurrences of short episodes of extreme events of various stresses. Crops often exposed to short episodes of various abiotic stresses or its combination during its critical period of growth stages can limit its yield potential. Understanding of impact of climate change drivers and climate variability will be critical in developing crop management strategies to combat negative effect of climate change and variability. This review provides an overview of the influences of elevated carbon dioxide, high temperature stress, drought stress, elevated UV B radiation and their interaction on various physiological, growth and yield processes of various crops. Elevated carbon dioxide will increase crop yield in C3 plants under optimum growth conditions. However, under high temperature, drought and UV B stress conditions there will be very limited or no benefits of elevated CO2 on grain yield. It is predicted that global mean surface air temperatures will increase in the range of 1.5 to 4.5°C by end of this century. Similarly, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
