Importance of Making Appointments
The puporse of me writing this essay to let my leadership or any soldier in the united states army that
reads this know that I do understand the importance of never missing an appointment. This is my
second time with this plan of action. This is my second time missing an appointment. This is not a
good look for a PFC with a bad repitation already. Missing a scheduled appointment may seem like a
little fuck up, but if you think about it and trace it back far enough it has a negative impact on the lives
of many people involved. it effects the army as a whole, the government, tax dollars, every American
and possible most of the population of the planet even if they don t know it or feel an impact from it
on some level ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By letting them down, I mean that I basically showed them that I have no discipline to do the right
thing even when no one is around. There is no real excuse on missing appointments. Each Solider
stationed on vilseck post is given an opportunity to cancel an appointments if they will not be able to
make it. By missing my appointment shows them that Im not capable of taking care of myself, so
without a doubt im not ready to take care of someone else or be in the leadership position. I should be
leading the way for other new soldiers to follow but all im doing is showing them that they cant
depend on me because I fail to take care of my OWN self. If I cant even show up for an appointment
at the right building then I cant show up for them when the time they or anyone will really need me. It
shows that I am unreliable. By missing my appointment, it also shows them that I don t practice many
of the several 7 army values. I have no honor because a true American soldier that practices honor
would have did the right thing and had all the necessary information about the appointment, shown up
or atleast have enough heart to at least cancel the apointment . By missing my appointment I also
show that I have no respect for my myself, my leadership or my future soldiers. I am in no position to
even receive leadership role or even be promoted . Im in no position to tell someone what to do or
what is right

John Smith In Pocahontas
John Smith a widely known, beloved, Disney character in the movie Pocahontas. However, he is also
an important and influential person in history. Both of these characters differ greatly from real life, to
a movie character. In the Disney movie, John Smith is shown as Caucasian, slender, with blond hair
and blue eyes. ( John Smith ). He is also shown in an age range from about 20 25. Socially, John
Smith is shown to have many friends in the movie as well as being brave, and fighting for the rights of
the Indians. Throughout the movie John Smith is shown to have only one motivation: to fight for good
by protecting the Native Americans. From all of this information, and the events in the movie, I felt
that sympathized with him. He was the clear protagonist in the movie and fought for good. Even
though John Smith is painted as a good person in Pocahontas he was actually a very different person
in real life. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Little is known about John Smith s real appearance but that he was about 30 years old, and is depicted
as being short with a full beard. In real life John Smith was known for his abrasive attitude, and was
even almost killed multiple times. John Smith had a trade agreement with the Native Americans for
some time, and was mostly friendly, but later in his life turned on them and put many into slavery or
killed them. Not only did John Smith not have many close allies, he also was described as an
[Ambitious] unworthy and [vainglorious] [fellow] ( Captain Smith ). John Smith was also widely
known as someone who stretched the truth quite a bit in his stories. In fact most of his documentations
were proved to be false. After finding out what John Smith was really like I did not like him. I believe
that he was nothing more than a liar who was embodied a hero in American

Worldview As A Person s Worldview
A person s worldview may not be my worldview, a person s worldview is individual to the person. I
would define worldview as a person s specific bias or opinion on topics that influence how they look
at the world and their surroundings from what is there to what is expected to be there. Now that I have
a definition of a worldview, what is a christian worldview? With the article, A Christian Worldview,
there are five points that make up a christian worldview. First, God exists and the world was created
by Him. Secondly, humans who fully believe in God has enjoyment to look forward to after death
because they can be with God, but everyone has a soul and spirit to go somewhere after they die.
Third, science and metaphysics are not the only approach that explains the big bang theory and
everything that exists today. Fourth, epistemology is not the only intellectuality that helps us perceive
real senses. Last, there is a difference between objective morality and subjective morality along with
the Bible as a source for Christians to follow God s will for our life (Drury 3). Likewise, with the five
points to a person s worldview and a christian worldview, terminally ill or extremely pained people
end their life. Currently, there are four states that passed a law stating under certain circumstances a
person is legally allowed to die with physician assisted suicide. The opponents state that people have
the right to refuse life prolonging treatment, but have no right to end their

Opera Divas
Introduction
Due to the obsession of evoking the affections (emotions) of the audience, 17th century Opera was
seen as the epitome of music in the Baroque era as it combined intense emotions, serious drama,
elaborate staging and costumes as well as it s beautiful singers (Opera Divas). Opera Divas were the
rock stars of the era and were adored by many noblemen and women, as well as the lower classes but
how did they reach this level of fame? I will be delving deeper into 17th century opera and focus on
the beginnings and development of opera and the rise (and fall) of two popular opera divas : Francesca
Cuzzoni and Farinelli. The Beginnings and Development of Opera
Generally, opera is said to have originated from Florence during the end of the 16th century.1 With the
need to revive the arts of Ancient Greece, they turned to their dramas, which were typically sung or
said in such a way that the emotions of the audience are touched and that they could hear the words
clearly.2 Peri was one of the earliest composers of opera.3 His most well known opera being the story
of Euridice, a Greek tragedy of Orfeo travelling to the underworld and using his

Islamic Law And Islamic Politics
The role of Islamic law in the modern secular state is central to any discussion of Islam and politics
and is as crucial today as ever. In his article Islamic Constitutionalism, Said Amir Arjomand describes
three models Muslim societies have taken in attempting to address Islam to secular forms. One
approach, taken by Saudi Arabia and Iran, seeks to implement [t]he vision of the Islamic ideological
state whose primary function was the execution of Divine Law. (Arjomand: 123). The second
approach attempts to bridge Islam and secular modernism by turning the shari a into a theoretical
limitation on government and legislation, as in Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan, which hold the shari a up as
the source of all law but not in any practical sense above the state and its secular forms. (Arjomand:
136). The third variant disowns the myth of the Islamic state and accepts democracy and the legal
modernization of the mid twentieth century, thereby making the principles of the shari a not the source
of all constitutional and ordinary legislation but one constitutional principle that should act as a
limitation to government and legislation . . . alongside other constitutional principles. (Arjomand: 136
137).
In this short paper, I propose to engage with the work of an Islamic legal thinker of the early twentieth
century, Ahmad Safwat, who endeavored to suggest a model for situating traditional Islamic law
within the framework of a modern secular state. My aim in this paper

Witness for the Prosecution
The mystery, Witness for the Prosecution , was produced in 1957 by Arthur Hornblow, Jr. and directed
by Billy Wilder. The two lead male actors were Tyrone Power as Leonard Vole and Charles Laughton
as Sir Wilfrid Robarts. The lead female actor was Marlene Dietrich as Christine Helm. Witness for the
Prosecution superbly demonstrated a realist view of the operating procedures in a courtroom. The
actors within the courtroom were easy to identify, and the steps transitioned smoothly from the arrest
to the reading of the verdict. The murder trial of Leonard Vole provided realistic insight into how laws
on the books are used in courtroom proceedings. With the inferior elements noted, the superior
element of the court system in Witness ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The defense for Vole was nonexistent until a stranger provided damaging evidence against the
prosecution s most damaging witness.
For the defendant to be found guilty of murder, the burden is placed on the prosecutor to prove the
defendant guilty beyond a reasonable doubt (Neubauer Fradella, 2014, p. 33). In other words, the
prosecutor, Mr. Myer must present a strong case to satisfy the jury that charges against the defendant
are almost certainly true (Neubauer Fradella, 2014, p. 35). When the trial started, the evidence was
strong enough for a guilty verdict. The prosecution had three witnesses to support the claim that Vole
killed Emily French. The first witness, Inspector Hearne, provided the court with blood evidence on
the sleeve of Vole s jacket; however, during cross examination, Sir Wilfrid disputed the evidence
because Vole s blood type was not excluded as the donor. The second witness was Janet McKenize,
Mrs. French s hard of hearing housekeeper, who stated she heard Vole and Mrs. French talking on the
night of the murder; nevertheless, during cross examination, Sir Wilfrid discredited her testimony
when he proved to the jury that she was hard of hearing. The climax of the prosecution came when
Mr. Myers, after objections by Sir Wilfrid, called Christine Helm, Vole s wife, to the stand. Christine
was thought to be the wife of Vole but provided

Copyright And Copyright Infringement Trials
Intellectual properties are anything that is created by the mind. This includes inventions, designs,
books, etc. Many people protect their intellectual by copyrighting their work. Copyrights are
trademarks or patents, and give the owners of the work the right to claim their work and protect it
from theft. Use or reference of famous work is permitted when it is for transformative or limited use.
This work be considered fair use and many copyright infringement trials have been dismissed because
of this. Copyrights are an important tool to ensure that copyrighted work that is referenced mentions
the original inventor, rather than stealing their invention and claiming it as their own.

Pantofola D Oro Essay
History
Pantofola d Oro is a company based in Italy that manufactures soccer boots, leisure footwear, as well
as clothing. The company began in a small family workshop in Ascoli Piceno industrial district, Italy
in the year 1886. At the time, it was just a cobbler s shop, which was founded by Emidio Lazzarini
when he worked as a shoemaker; as he put into practice the teachings given to him by not only his
father but also his grandfather. However, the company had not begun producing handcrafted elite
soccer boots until the 1950s when Emidio took over the business, which was run by his father. After
the day s work was done, Emilio would devote his time to wrestling, and as a wrestler he used to wear
shoes that he found to be both uncomfortable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Americans seem to be more familiar with brands like Nike, Reebok, Adidas, among others. This
will make it a bit difficult to penetrate the market as much as those other big footwear producing
companies have.
Furthermore, Pantofola d Oro s products cannot be found in U.S stores despite their presence all over
Europe. For the few who already recognize the brand and want to purchase it, they can only get it
from the pro direct soccer website. However, very few people in the U.S. know about this and as a
result, Pantofola d Oro does not take up any significant size of the U.S. soccer footwear market share.
Due to the high quality and incorporation of NFC technology in Pantofola d Oro s products, they cost
more than those of competitors. They are also set to be placed in the big departmental stores only, such
as Nordstrom and Barneys. This may reduce their potential to be recognized and thus bought by many
people.
International Operations
The company has already developed presence in Italy and Europe. It is also planning to scale up to
Germany, the United States and Northern Europe with the assistance of three international partners

Golfers
Executive Summary
GolfLogix was founded in May of 1999 by Todd Kuta and Scott Lambrecht. The GolfLogix system
used Global Positioning System (GPS) technology and came equipped with a handheld receiver called
the xCaddie. The xCaddie made it easier for golfers to measure the distance between their current
position and the green. This concept helped diffuse the frustrations of the golfers themselves and of
the other golfers who were waiting on the course. In 2002, GolfLogix was faced with the decision of
whether or not to keep focusing their target market on the individual golf courses or to start marketing
directly to consumers. After researching the company, its competitors, and the industry, we were able
to consider both options and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The xCaddie was easy for the golfers to read and it enabled the golfers to view their distances in both
yards and meters. The product also included custom features that would tailor to the different needs of
the different golfers (Gourville 1).
After deciding they wanted to carry out the idea, the two men first had to find out if such a device
would be legal in the United State Golf Association (USGA). They found that the standard rule for
using a GPS was that it could be used for recreational golf but could not be used during tournament
play (Gourville 3). By May 2002, GolfLogix consisted of six full time employees and had managed to
raise $12 million. Although the company seemed to have a great start in the industry, there were many
measurement systems that were currently being used by golf courses all around the world, including
the yardage markers, sprinkler heads, yardage booklets, and rangefinders (Gourville 4). The yardage
markers are considered the most widely used tool for golfers to measure the distance between the
green and their current position. The yardage markers are typically colored plastic or concrete plates
that are embedded in the center of the fairway. The sprinkler head system involves marking the
distances on the sprinkler heads. There are typically ten to twelve sprinklers

Fritz Lang Final Scene Analysis
The Serial Killer and the Criminals In the final scene of the 1931 crime drama, M (dir. Fritz Lang), the
child serial killer Hans Beckert (Peter Lorre) is finally captured and put on trial by the criminal
network of the city. Finally surrounded and forced to deal with his crimes, this scene slowly shows
Bekert s unraveling as he loses all sense of control, submitting to the crowd of criminals surrounding
him. By using elements of mise en scène such as setting, blocking, and acting style, the scene shows
both Berket s continual rise and fall of hope compared to the determination and absolute control of the
criminals. The scene is based in the underground of an abandoned factory, Bekert pushed down the
stairs into a decaying and dark ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Bekert begins to lose himself again, panic filling his face, but is brought back by judges and is forced
to turn around again, this time revealing a picture of each of his victim. The reverse shots of Bekert
and the picture show ranging expressions of panic, first jumping back, second taking a fist to his
mouth in shock, and third running for the door. The movement of Bekert causes a reaction from the
crowd and guards, who force him back down the stairs in a chaotic struggle. By allowing the rise and
fall of Bekert s emotions from calm, to shock, to complete panic, a pattern is established for the
remainder of the scene and supports the control the criminals have over Bekert s fate. Degradingly,
Bekert is thrown to the ground onto a pile of wood, shown in a high angle shot as the crowd yells at
him. The crowd is silenced by the judges, the lead judge voice overlaying a tracking medium shot of
all the other panel members as he explains their relation to the wall. This shot reveals the history and
stoic personalities of the people Bekert is now up against, revealing how he will not be able to
persuade them of his innocence and how they will not accept any fate for him besides death. Bekert
attempts to yell back at them, but is silenced again by an offscreen hand

Best Buy in Crisis
Introduction
At the end of fiscal 2012, Best Buy found itself in an increasingly challenging situation. Although it
could still claim to be the world s largest consumer electronics retailer with $50.7 billion in revenues,
growth for the year, at 0.9% was anemic. Meanwhile, Amazon s sales in Best Buy s categories were
growing at more than 50% p.a. and its total sales, at $48 billion, were approaching those of Best Buy.
Operating profits were also disappointing having dropped 54% to $1.1 billion and net income fell into
the red at $1.2 billion. The fiscal 2012 year end stock price fell to $24.70, down from a high of $53.86

In 1988, personal computers were added to the product line. Four years into the superstore strategy,
Highland, the industry number two, lowered its prices in Minneapolis, Best Buy s heartland, selling at
10% above cost. Best Buy margins fell sharply. In search of a new approach, Best Buy conducted
consumer research and discovered the customers had a poor image of superstores. They saw shopping
as a stressful experience and felt pressured by salespeople into buying expensive items. Customers
wanted an enjoyable shopping experience and a no pressure selling environment.
Concept II: 1989 1994
In response to this consumer research, Best Buy implemented a ground breaking grab and go store
format in 1989 called Concept II. Backroom space in stores was turned into sales space and the
inventory was put out on display with basic information labels so that customers could see what was
in stock and understand the product without explanations from sales staff. Salaried product specialists
replaced commissioned sales staff and, rather than pushing products on customers, patiently waited in
department centers for customers who sought help. The format proved very popular, and by fiscal
1994, Best Buy operated 151 stores generating $3.0 billion in revenue and $77 million in operating
profits. In the process, Best Buy entered Chicago and Texas, Highlands core territories, and the
company went bankrupt.

Literary Analysis Of A Streetcar Named Desire By Tennessee...
Tennessee Williams was an American writer known for short stories and poems in the mid 1950 s. His
more famous writing was A Streetcar Named Desire. His writings influenced many other writers such
as August Strindberg and Hart Crane. His writings A Streetcar Named Desire and The Glass
Menagerie was adopted to films and A Streetcar Named Desire earned him his first Pulitzer prize. In A
Streetcar Named Desire there is many elements that build the plot and story line. The story is about a
girl who is drove crazy by his sister s husband and eventually sent to the mental hospital. The main
plot is towards the end of the story when Blanche Dubois is blackmailed by her sister s husband and
raped by him. Everything takes its toll on her until she begins drinking heavily and is thought to have
gone crazy and placed in a mental hospital. In this story, many things play affect in the contrast of the
writing such as Blanche arriving at her sister s house, seeing her sister s husbands attitude, the poker
game, Blanche getting raped. These events make Blanche an easy victim. In Tennessee Williams, a
street car named desire, the start of kindness turns to tragedy and pain.
The darkness all begins when Blanche arrives at Stella s apartment after her family home was lost.
Stanley initially doesn t trust Blanche and thinks she swindled Stella out of her share of the family
home to pay off her own debts. The two are sisters and immediately Blanche begins to criticize their
apartment because of coming from a high class place. This immediately bothers Stanley and he
becomes agitated with Blanche since they have taken her in and let her stay in their home. This adds
issue between the characters right away because of both of their backgrounds. Blanche come from

Benito Mussolini, AKA Il Dulce
Benito Mussolini, known as Il Duce, was the founder of the totalitarian form of government known as
Fascism. However that was not enough recognition; Mussolini wanted to demonstrate to the world
that he could be a successful ruler as well. Mussolini came to power and remained in power primarily
due to the actions of the Italian Blackshirts. As the Blackshirts maintained law and order, terrorized
political opponents, defended Italy, and marched on Rome, Mussolini successfully ruled as dictator.
Controlled and led by Mussolini, the Italian Blackshirts also known as the Squadre d Azione, were
made up of war veterans and young people led by ringleaders. The Blackshirt uniform consisted of a
green jacket and trouser with a black shirt and tie. The green colors were similar to that of the army
uniforms, but the black shirt and tie differentiated the Blackshirts from the other combat forces. The
Blackshirts were first created on March 23, 1919 and played a vital role in the rule of Mussolini.
Benito Mussolini s rise to power primarily relied on the Blackshirts march on Rome. On October 24,
1922, Mussolini hosted a Fascist convention in Naples as the reason for the March on Rome. There he
declared, Either the government will be given to us, or we will seize it by marching on Rome.
Mussolini s plan was to threaten to occupy the nation s capital of Rome with his forces, the
Blackshirts, and pressure King Victor Emmanuel III into inviting him into the government.

Pablo Picasso Essay
Who was Pablo Picasso?
Pablo Picasso (1881 1973) is commonly considered to be one of the greatest twentieth century radical
European surrealist and cubist painters and sculptors to have lived, if not the greatest modern artist
that Spain has ever produced.
His prolific portfolio included experimentation in everything from printmaking to ceramics, although
oil painting was for most of his career his primary medium. His extensive legacy in popular culture
and fine art, particularly in abstract geometry and use of color, is extensive and incomparable to all but
a few other titans of modern art.
He was identified as a child prodigy and was admitted at the age of just 14 to Barcelona s School of
Fine Art. Over the following eight ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This overlapped with his transition into using warmer brown and red palette colors and his shift away
from depicting depressing themes to a more neutral stance, both of which defined his Rose Period
(c.1904 1907). Picasso s work during these years is still generally considered to be proto cubist, as it
included some semi realistic elements and geometry.
Picasso s interest in African (particularly African Tribal) influences is usually considered something of
a brief flirtation that formed a stepping stone to his lifelong infatuation with depicting subversive
cubist geometries. His experiments with African themes are considered to have concluded by the start
of 1910, in favour of focusing on developing his (then) more successful 1908 experiments in
Analytical Cubism into a coherent genre of painting. Nevertheless, Picasso never entirely abandoned
his interest in Africa. Some much later work such as the painting Musician (1972) can be said to
contain the same influences.
Certainly, the enduring influence of some elements of the African Period on Picasso can be seen
throughout the work that followed on from it. This is particularly so in Picasso s approach to facial
structure and depiction of the human body after 1909. One of his most highly regarded paintings, Les
Demoiselles d Avignon (1907), also emerged as an iconic work from his exploration of tribal African
depictions of the human form.

The Importance of Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate social responsibility is paramount in any organization. It involves the need for a corporate
organization to go beyond what may be required by regulators or environmental protection groups and
manage the business processes to produce an overall positive impact on society. Corporate take it
upon themselves and come up with an initiative to assess and take responsibility for the company s
effects on the environment and impact on social welfare. This may involve incurring short term costs
that do not provide an immediate financial benefit to the company, but instead promotes positive
social and environmental change (Crowther Aras 2008). Our founder Bill Gates has set an exemplary
model through the creation of Bill Gates Melinda Foundation that has lifted the lives of many poverty
stricken people throughout the world. It is in line with this noble initiative by our founder that we are
working to uphold the precedents set by our founder that we are setting out to launch the proposed

Aluminum Does Not Affect The Quality Of The Air
Aluminum metal reacts with oxygen in the air to produce a thin hard film of aluminum oxide on the
surface. Thus, as the aluminum oxide film becomes thicker, it will absorb moisture from the air. In
fact, moisture is the source of hydrogen, which could affect the quality of the weld (e.g. porosity).
Another reasons aluminum is different from steels when welding is that, aluminum also does not
change its color as temperature approaches the melting point. The oxide that forms so rapidly on its
surface has a melting point around 3,200 °F, likewise aluminum boils at a lower temperature at
2,880°F [3]. The oxide is also tends to be heavier than aluminum, and when melted, it tends to be
trapped in the molten aluminum. Therefore, it is very important

Currently, the level of security regarding the Western Interconnection networks is depleting, as in it is
becoming ever more susceptible to external hackers. The vulnerable nature of all the United States

these cyber attacks on this vital infrastructure has led to a suspicion of Chinese hackers behind the job.
At the time, it was assumed that the U.S. Congress and

government regulators would pressure all the electric utilities to increase security ten fold and be
ready to evade all computer intrusions. A single breach would inevitably lead to chaos striking the
entire nation. U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano expressed concerns about the power

The Geography Of Québec
The name Québec was inspired by an Algonquian word that translates to where the river narrows.
Québec is in the northeastern part of North America. Nearly three times the size of France, Québec is
the largest of Canada s ten provinces. Québec is a peninsula being bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, the
Labrador Sea, and Baie d Hudson. It is made up of three geological regions, the St. Lawrence

Fallacies In Calloway
In spite of Calloway, Lepore, and Stavans desiring for good history to be written and valued by society
at large, the suggested alternative forms of writing and producing history are liable to the same human
fallacies and errors faced within the standard historical evidence. As Calloway notes, all historical
records need critical consideration. This is due to various factors like bias, fallible memory, and
audience that colors these sources. How we discern fact from fiction is still unresolved. Ultimately, the
truth is relative for everyone. Yet, all three authors are often desiring inclusiveness of things left out in
the mainstream in order for society to find the truth. Calloway espouses attention towards Native

Policy Proposal for Economic Reform in Russia Essay
Policy Proposal for Economic Reform in Russia
Despite making a recovery after the 1998 market crash, Russia remains weighted with numerous
holdovers from the Communist era that keep its economy from taking advantage of free market
reforms. In short, Russia has not prospered under capitalism because it has not yet discovered it. In
order to do so, the Russian government must engage in extensive reform in several key areas:
improving the rule of law, creating stable monetary policy, and ending a policy of favoritism to
particular businesses. Engaging in these reforms would lower the extremely high transaction costs of
doing business legally, stimulating a wave of new investment and wealth creation within Russia, as
well as encouraging ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The lack of clearly defined and enforced property rights is another major problem. The communist era
criminal code has only been partially replaced, and each contract must be carefully examined to check
whether it contradicts an ever shifting mess of regulations. In addition, it is unclear what success the
communists will have in the next election, so long term planning is very difficult because the future is
so unpredictable.
Despite an ambitions privatization program, many of the large factories remain state owned, partly
because of the fact that their outdated and inefficient production would immediately and properly put
them out of business under a free market. However, because the government has so much influence
over the banks, it keeps funding these inefficient enterprises to earn the support of the many workers
they hire. Many of the factories that were privatized, simply signed ownership to their communist
bosses, and because of their pull with the government, stay alive by government aid.
Despite all the issues mentioned above, the biggest challenge to Russian economic growth is probably
its monetary policy. The Russian central bank is a direct holdover from Soviet times and needs to
change its policy drastically to adapt to a free market economy. In a capitalist economy, private banks
serve to store money and provide investment to business. Because banks lose their investment when a
debtor defaults, they are careful to insure that entrepreneurs

The Severing Nature Of Sin In Jenson s View Of God
Like any relationship, the relationship between God and his people requires input from both parties.
One of the ways to positively engage in the relationship is through prayer, however, one of the ways to
both actively and negatively engage in this relationship is through sin. Many historical and social
developments have shifted sin into the realm of ethics, however, for Jenson, it is a theological concept.
It is a theological concept in the sense that it relates to the active relationship between man and God,
which stems precisely from being made in the image of God. As a result, sin is what breaks up this
active relationship and community that God has established. Jenson achieves this conception of sin by
once again analyzing God s identity in scripture, specifically his active ... Show more content on

Sin is not only the rejection of one s relationship with god, but a rejection of one s relationship to other
human beings as well. The aforementioned good moral life is not an individual goal that is separate
from God or other human beings, it is a collective goal that forms a community that this sin destroys.
The severing nature of sin stems directly from the story of Adam and Eve: their betrayal of God
through manifests itself in original sin and relationship severing consequences, there is a division
between humans, in which the woman is directed to be ruled by the husband, and a division between
man and God, in which the people are banished from the garden of Eden and its many blessings.
However, sin is only a rupture, not a complete dissolution, of one s relationship with God and thus, it
is mendable and redeemable. Jenson states that what reunites us with God is not any of our particular
works or actions, rather what unites us with God is our trust in what happens in Christ. It is precisely
this faith and only this faith, this trust, that touches our lives to the divine drama (Jenson

Aerobic Respiration And Aerobic Respiration
Aerobic respiration, also known as cellular respiration, is an essential process for the production of
ATP and occurs in 3 metabolic stages. The stages included are glycolysis, the Kreb s cycle, and
oxidative phosphorylation. Throughout the whole process, glucose or various other saccharides are
broken down, producing CO2, ATP, NADH, Pyruvate, and FADH2. Aerobic respiration and anaerobic
respiration are very similar, the only difference is the final electron acceptor, as Aerobic respiration
involves oxygen. In order to study and detect how much cellular respiration occurs in an organism, the
amount of glucose used, the amount of oxygen consumed, or the amount of CO2 given off can be
measured. Bread, wine, and beer are all made from yeast. Yeast must go through cellular respiration
and produce CO2 in order for the bread to rise and form properly; however, different monosaccharides
may affect the level of CO2, measured in mL, given off by Saccharomyces cerevisiae (found in yeast),
while affecting yeast s ability to metabolize during glycolysis. Durham tubes (a sealed, cut off 5 mL,
pipette) can be used to measure the amount of CO2 produced as the yeast metabolizes.
The approached used was to test the level of CO2 (mL) production, after different solutions with 1.5
mL of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and 4.5 mL and either 1M of glucose, fructose, or galactose go
through cellular respiration. The higher level of CO2 produced indicates the more cellular respiration
that took place. A

Not only is it ironic that Trump suggested the rigging of the election for Clinton s benefit since it
seems that the opposite statement could hold more merit, but there are 300 deaths and injuries from

of credible incidents of voter impersonation (Voting Rights Victories, 3). Even more striking is that
many more people have been blocked from the polls by GOP voter suppression efforts than have cast

A Study On Financial Derivatives With Special Reference Essay
A STUDY ON FINANCIAL DERIVATIVES WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO NIFTY F O
ABSTRACT
Derivatives are the contracts whose value is derived from the value of some underlying assets such as
equities, commodities or currencies. These contracts helps the investor to reduce the risk of wearing
down of his investments. The application of derivatives can be observed as an opportunity to transfer
the risk from the person who wish to ignore it, to the person who is ready to accept it i.e. risk
management hedging through derivatives. In an environment, in which portfolio managers are
pressured to beat the indices, need to protect the investment gains in their portfolios from financial
risk. Different hedging strategies can be formulated to meet the particular hedging requirements.
Various studies on the outcomes of future and option listing on the underlying asset (equity,
commodity, currency market) have been done with a
view to study potential of financial derivatives and intensification of derivatives as a hedging
instrument. NSE traded derivatives have shown an exponential growth in market turnover, it has

Leadership philosophy has a foundational element to it. The different components included create a
strong basis on which to build on and take your leadership forward. You are better equipped to lead
and to succeed in your leadership with a leadership philosophy due to three core benefits: character,
consistency and collaboration.
Character
Drafting a leadership philosophy will provide clarity and focus to your character. Character matters
because it influences your everyday decision making and communication with other people. Without a
proper understanding of your character and the traits you truly value, you are more likely to fall into

a published leadership philosophy matters. As you ll see in the next section a written leadership
philosophy statement can be useful in getting to the heart of your true values and ideas. By having a
written statement, you are sure to have a reminder of the ideals you want to be pushing towards. But it
can be more beneficial to have the leadership philosophy published or at least shared with a few
people because it increases your accountability. If you are the only one aware of your leadership
principles, you don t need to worry about others calling you out on doing something against your
values since no one has knowledge of them. On the other hand, if you are loosing your sense of
direction, a person who has seen your leadership philosophy statement can nudge you back in the right
direction. The objectives you want to deliver and the values you want to keep at the heart of your
leadership will be known. Even the knowledge that people have access to your statement or your

Computerized Timekeeping System For An Electronic Gps System
Abstract
The following paper is about a group of employees working for a company moving from a manual
timekeeping system to an electronic timekeeping system. These staff members are resisting the new
electronic timekeeping system, and have a bad attitude on this subject, not understanding why there
has to be changes in the system they are currently using. Three trainers have been selected to change
the workers attitude and train them to be proficient with the new electronic timekeeping system.
There are three basic methods of training that can be used to get the employees onboard with the new
electronic timekeeping system. The three trainers met to review the different methods and discuss
which method would be the best method of training for this group of individuals. The trainers started
the process by reviewing and discussing the lecture method of training. Once discussing this method,
it was decided that this was not the proper training method for this group of individuals. Some people
find this type of training boring and become disengaged early in the training, resulting in poor training
results.
Next the trainers reviewed the experiential training method and reviewed the four step process of
training. The trainers thought they might get positive feedback from this type of training, but then
decided that if the employees were not interested in learning a new system, case studies and role
playing might not go as the trainers planned. The trainers felt they might

What do I value as an American? What is America to me? I sit and I reread the same the sentences

these families remind me that the man who just had car troubles, could have easily been my father or

The Law, Morality And Fear Or Threat By Herbert Lionel...
Herbert Lionel Adolphus Hart, was a British Legal Philosopher and worked for University of Oxford
as Professor of Jurisprudence. Prof. Hart has written several books and few of his most important
writings are, Causation of Law 1959, Concept of Law 1961, Law liberty and Morality 1963, Of Laws
in General 1970, and Essays on Bentham 1982. This article focuses on one of his highly appreciated
work, Concept of Law 1961. The book analyses on the law, morality and fear or threat through which
the author is attempting to classify the question as to whether the law can be conceptualized as the
forceful orders or the moral commands. Prof. Hart is of the opinion that all laws need not be classified
as coercive or moral commands, there need not be any logical connection between the Laws, and
morality or between the laws and coercion. He is of the opinion that by classifying all laws as either
moral commands or coercive orders will be misleading and mischaracterizing the purpose and
function for which the law was originally created. Different laws have different applicability as it is
drawn from several sources and there exists a purpose for which a law will be created. Laws are made
to curtail the actions of man, and to prohibit him from various kinds of actions. These are called duties
which a person has to do as he is bound by the law to do it. In case of breach of this duty, the law
imposes a punishment which a person has to undergo to keep an order in the society. The

A Report On The Network
In this section, we will see the two networks constructed in Mininet and the flows running through the
network
Flows:
1. A total of 12 simulations were run through the network. Flows were generated between hosts using
the tool D ITG.
2. Traffic generation:
D ITG is used for generating traffic in the network. Random hosts and clients are selected for sending
traffic. To get sufficient delay in the network the link is used up to 100% in case of heavy traffic,
around 70% for medium traffic and 20% for low traffic. The receiver logs are registered for each flow.
Flows nature is UDP as UDP does not re attempt to send a dropped packet. The packet size is fixed to
1024 and number of packets send per second can be changed depending on the traffic requirement.
The following tables give the details of each flow which were simulated for network 1.
The network was created in Mininet. It consists of 12 hosts and 8 OpenV switches. It uses the external
controller which is selected in Mininet python code.
Network 2 is constructed in Mininet. It is a partial tree structure with 11 switches and 12 hosts.
External Floodlight controller is connected to the Mininet network using python code. The controller
is set in a different Virtual machine.
Each KQI will be analyzed for all three algorithms on both the network.
1. Average Delay:
The best performing algorithm for high traffic flows is a latency based algorithm. It gives a minimum
delay of 1.845 sec which is 28% lower than the delay observed

All Summer Is A Day By Ray Bradbury
Many centuries after the first spaceship landed on the moon, a group of brave rocket men and women
did the unbelievable. The short story All summer is a day , by Ray Bradbury, takes place in the
underground city of the planet Venus where tunnels roamed instead of streets. The land above them
was submerged with endless pouring rain and deadly jungles. The sight of the sun was a rare miracle
that only happened once every seven years. The children spent all their life in the enclosed
underground tunnels, well all except for one. Margot was the only child who came to Venus when she
was four, and the biggest difference was that she still remembered the times when the glowing sun
gave warmth and hope.
Thesis Statement (1 3 sentences) Her past experiences and opportunities caused the children of Venus
to be jealous of her. As a result, the children harassed Margot in disbelief. The gloomy, enclosed
environment affects everyone greatly. The message of the story shows how the environment and the
people around you can affect you because of their own lack of experiences. The author portrays this
when the children harass the main character, he also uses craft moves to show isolation of the main
character, and how depressed she is as a result. To begin, the author shows that the harassment Margot
goes through is due to the children lack of knowledge about the sun since they have spent their whole
life on Venus. Throughout the day, Margot brings back memories of the sun.

Such efforts are by no means new as neighborhood revitalization through the civic engagement of
residents in low income communities has long been a funding priority of the philanthropic community.
The African American community in particular, hard hit by social and economic challenges, presents
many opportunities for the increased civic engagement on the part of residents to promote changes in
approaches and strategies. Community foundations have the resources and commitment to community
revitalization to make significant inroads into solving the problems in low income communities.
Tester, Ruel, Anderson, Reitzes, and Oakley (2011) describe issues such as urban renewal as directly
responsible for the decline and destruction of low income African American communities. They argue
that strategies such as relocating residents of public housing and high crime areas for example are not
solutions to the root cause of the problem lack of support, inadequate resources, and isolation. Further,
relocating residents of these communities does not result in improved quality of life. In fact, those
moved out of one low income community typically migrate to a similar type of community that is
usually only a few miles from where they originally resided. It is at the community level in everyday
activities that citizens can experience the most measurable and impactful degree of civic engagement.

The Samurai warriors wielded a large variety of weapons but they became famous for their symbol,
the katana (samurai sword). From birth, the Samurai were to undergo brutal training to ensure their
success as warriors. They could be tested by running barefoot in the snow, enduring a freezing cold
waterfall, or fasting for days on end. However, many of these early Japanese made weapons were not
practical; they were used for religious ceremonies and rituals, indicating a relatively peaceful island
nation during its early years. Japan s most famous weapon needs little introduction.. Strong enough to
be used defensively but sharp enough to cut through limbs, the katana earned the reputation as the soul
of the samurai a reputation that lasted long after the samurai abandoned the sword for the pen. After
destroying the forces responsible for Nobunaga s death, Hideyoshi was rewarded with a joint
guardianship of Nobunaga s heir, who was a minor. By 1584 Hideyoshi had eliminated the three other
guardians, taken complete control of Kyoto, and become the undisputed successor of his late
overlord.. In 1590, with an army of 200,000 troops,

Jewish Studies Essay
Certainly, the world without the Jews would have been a radically different place. Humanity might
have eventually stumbled upon all the Jewish insights. But we cannot be sure. All the great conceptual
discoveries of the human intellect seem obvious and inescapable once they had been revealed, but it
requires a special genius to formulate them for the first time. The Jews had this gift. To them we owe
the idea of equality before the law, both divine and human; of the sanctity of life and the dignity of
human person; of the individual conscience and so a personal redemption; of collective conscience
and so of social responsibility; of peace as an abstract ideal and love as the foundation of justice, and

The divorce rate in the secular world is over 50% (JPost, 2009) which includes both non Orthodox
Jews and inter religion marriages. The Modern Orthodox Jews have a significantly lower divorce rate
as there are no conflicts that have to do with which religion to follow (Waxman, 2009). In the secular
or less Orthodox world, children can be brought up following two religions or even no religion at all.
If they are brought up with no religion, there is a very low chance that they will follow Judaism when
they grow older. Also by following two religions they may become very confused and they may in
turn cause them to choose one over the other. When even one child doesn t choose Judaism, the
Jewish population suffers. It may not seem like a big issue when looking at one child but with a 72%
intermarriage rate in non Orthodox America (Simple to remember, 2011) it can be a huge predicament.
However some people believe that limiting intermarriage will harm the Jewish population by not
letting people marry who they love. Going along this argument, if they do not date people of other
religions in the first place, they can not fall in love with them. With Modern Orthodox Judaism,
intermarriage is very rare which helps keep the Jewish people a nation with a growing population.
Judaism believes that G d gave the Torah to the Jewish people on Mount Sinai. This event was called

How Did Congress Use The Metric System In The United States
In 1866, Congress allowed the use of the metric system in the United States. Congress gave each state
a set of standard metric weights and measures. In 1875, the United States along with 16 other nations
signed the Treaty of the Meter. It strengthened their commitment to the international metric system. In
1893, metric standards were the standards for length and were in the United States. Congress passed
the Metric Conversion act of 1975 to plan the increasing use of the metric system and calling for
voluntary conversion. There was a 10 year deadline but was not included in the final version passed
by Congress. Congress passed the Omnibus Trade and Competitiveness Act of 1988 which made the

Question 2
Customer satisfaction is everything. It is through the detailed survey that initiates quality initiatives
and process changes based on this surveys of which the implemented change start at the grass root
levels with staff closest to the area of need identified from these surveys. Arnold Palmer Hospital
further builds the culture of quality by observing the four quality quadrants as analysed by the
executive team namely service, quality, finance and human resources that make the organisation focus
on same goals, vision and to be in the same line to achieve same result of quality culture. So, it would
be very important for me to ensure that the hospital staff cares for the patients, and that the staff is
responsive to the patient s needs. Further, all the four determinants of quality have to be successfully
met of which are:
Reliability: Creating a culture that radically reduces system failure and effectively respond when
failures do occur is the goal of high reliability. The concept of reliability has to be used to make

Women In A Rose For Emily And A Streetcar Named Desire
Every society has its own challenges and aspirations, but how these are handled makes a lot of
difference. (Akujobi) However, our society today and in the past have had the same challenge, which
is the suppressing of women by men. Anais Nin asked; How wrong is it for a woman to expect the
man to build the world she wants, rather than to create it herself? In today s life it is getting better
since women finally start having their own carrier instead of getting married with 20 while already
being pregnant. Augsburg s bishop Walter Mixa called women a few years ago baby producers , which
is a very outdated view of women and got ripped into pieces for that statement. This shows that even
though they are old fashioned people around the majority understands that women and men are equal
and women deserve to be happy, independent and successful. However, most women see building a
family as their way to be happy. Does that make women s happiness depending on men? Both texts A

clearer when she starts bragging about her beauty when she was younger and how she got her
expensive clothes from an admirer (106). Furthermore, she is admitting that she was fishing for a
compliment (106) while talking to Stanley. So this clearly shows that she has self esteem issues and
therefore needs the approval of men even though later she is saying that she is not young and

Impact Of China s Economic Impact On Australian Property
The introduction The research shows that China has become enormously important to Australia s
economy as its largest export destination, a rapid source of growth in inbound international tourism
and migration, plus a strong source of foreign investment. (Leigh W, 2015) Due to report of Australia
s government records, since 30 June 2015, 28.2% of Australia s estimated resident population was
born overseas. And the number of people who comes from china is the third largest group of Australia
s estimated resident population group (excluding people born in Australia). (Migration, 2015) as we
know, ever since 1980s, China s students flock into Australia to study. After they finished their study,
quite a fair amount of them decide to get Australia s PR or citizenship and stay in Australia. If people
decide to stay, they need a place to live. So these students certainly brought huge impact to Australia s
real estate industry. The impact of China s imigrat on Australian property has been both indirect
through the impact on the broader economy and direct through capital flows and Chinese developers
building Australian businesses. (Leigh W, 2015) so, understanding the new generation of China s
immigrate or will be is significant to Australia s real estate company if they want to be successful. And
this literature review is focusing on analysis the characteristics of the chosen target market China s Me
generation. The Body of Reviews China s me generation means the people who

  • 2. Importance of Making Appointments The puporse of me writing this essay to let my leadership or any soldier in the united states army that reads this know that I do understand the importance of never missing an appointment. This is my second time with this plan of action. This is my second time missing an appointment. This is not a good look for a PFC with a bad repitation already. Missing a scheduled appointment may seem like a little fuck up, but if you think about it and trace it back far enough it has a negative impact on the lives of many people involved. it effects the army as a whole, the government, tax dollars, every American and possible most of the population of the planet even if they don t know it or feel an impact from it on some level ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By letting them down, I mean that I basically showed them that I have no discipline to do the right thing even when no one is around. There is no real excuse on missing appointments. Each Solider stationed on vilseck post is given an opportunity to cancel an appointments if they will not be able to make it. By missing my appointment shows them that Im not capable of taking care of myself, so without a doubt im not ready to take care of someone else or be in the leadership position. I should be leading the way for other new soldiers to follow but all im doing is showing them that they cant depend on me because I fail to take care of my OWN self. If I cant even show up for an appointment at the right building then I cant show up for them when the time they or anyone will really need me. It shows that I am unreliable. By missing my appointment, it also shows them that I don t practice many of the several 7 army values. I have no honor because a true American soldier that practices honor would have did the right thing and had all the necessary information about the appointment, shown up or atleast have enough heart to at least cancel the apointment . By missing my appointment I also show that I have no respect for my myself, my leadership or my future soldiers. I am in no position to even receive leadership role or even be promoted . Im in no position to tell someone what to do or what is right ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Both of these characters differ greatly from real life, to a movie character. In the Disney movie, John Smith is shown as Caucasian, slender, with blond hair and blue eyes. ( John Smith ). He is also shown in an age range from about 20 25. Socially, John Smith is shown to have many friends in the movie as well as being brave, and fighting for the rights of the Indians. Throughout the movie John Smith is shown to have only one motivation: to fight for good by protecting the Native Americans. From all of this information, and the events in the movie, I felt that sympathized with him. He was the clear protagonist in the movie and fought for good. • 4. Worldview As A Person s Worldview A person s worldview may not be my worldview, a person s worldview is individual to the person. I would define worldview as a person s specific bias or opinion on topics that influence how they look at the world and their surroundings from what is there to what is expected to be there. Now that I have a definition of a worldview, what is a christian worldview? With the article, A Christian Worldview, there are five points that make up a christian worldview. First, God exists and the world was created by Him. Secondly, humans who fully believe in God has enjoyment to look forward to after death because they can be with God, but everyone has a soul and spirit to go somewhere after they die. Third, science and metaphysics are not the only approach that explains the big bang theory and everything that exists today. Fourth, epistemology is not the only intellectuality that helps us perceive real senses. Last, there is a difference between objective morality and subjective morality along with the Bible as a source for Christians to follow God s will for our life (Drury 3). Likewise, with the five points to a person s worldview and a christian worldview, terminally ill or extremely pained people end their life. Currently, there are four states that passed a law stating under certain circumstances a person is legally allowed to die with physician assisted suicide. The opponents state that people have the right to refuse life prolonging treatment, but have no right to end their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Opera Divas Introduction Due to the obsession of evoking the affections (emotions) of the audience, 17th century Opera was seen as the epitome of music in the Baroque era as it combined intense emotions, serious drama, elaborate staging and costumes as well as it s beautiful singers (Opera Divas). Opera Divas were the rock stars of the era and were adored by many noblemen and women, as well as the lower classes but how did they reach this level of fame? I will be delving deeper into 17th century opera and focus on the beginnings and development of opera and the rise (and fall) of two popular opera divas : Francesca Cuzzoni and Farinelli. The Beginnings and Development of Opera Generally, opera is said to have originated from Florence during the end of the 16th century.1 With the need to revive the arts of Ancient Greece, they turned to their dramas, which were typically sung or said in such a way that the emotions of the audience are touched and that they could hear the words clearly.2 Peri was one of the earliest composers of opera.3 His most well known opera being the story of Euridice, a Greek tragedy of Orfeo travelling to the underworld and using his ... • 6. Islamic Law And Islamic Politics The role of Islamic law in the modern secular state is central to any discussion of Islam and politics and is as crucial today as ever. In his article Islamic Constitutionalism, Said Amir Arjomand describes three models Muslim societies have taken in attempting to address Islam to secular forms. One approach, taken by Saudi Arabia and Iran, seeks to implement [t]he vision of the Islamic ideological state whose primary function was the execution of Divine Law. (Arjomand: 123). The second approach attempts to bridge Islam and secular modernism by turning the shari a into a theoretical limitation on government and legislation, as in Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan, which hold the shari a up as the source of all law but not in any practical sense above the state and its secular forms. (Arjomand: 136). The third variant disowns the myth of the Islamic state and accepts democracy and the legal modernization of the mid twentieth century, thereby making the principles of the shari a not the source of all constitutional and ordinary legislation but one constitutional principle that should act as a limitation to government and legislation . . . alongside other constitutional principles. (Arjomand: 136 137). In this short paper, I propose to engage with the work of an Islamic legal thinker of the early twentieth century, Ahmad Safwat, who endeavored to suggest a model for situating traditional Islamic law within the framework of a modern secular state. The two lead male actors were Tyrone Power as Leonard Vole and Charles Laughton as Sir Wilfrid Robarts. The lead female actor was Marlene Dietrich as Christine Helm. Witness for the Prosecution superbly demonstrated a realist view of the operating procedures in a courtroom. The actors within the courtroom were easy to identify, and the steps transitioned smoothly from the arrest to the reading of the verdict. The defense for Vole was nonexistent until a stranger provided damaging evidence against the prosecution s most damaging witness. For the defendant to be found guilty of murder, the burden is placed on the prosecutor to prove the defendant guilty beyond a reasonable doubt (Neubauer Fradella, 2014, p. 33). In other words, the prosecutor, Mr. Myer must present a strong case to satisfy the jury that charges against the defendant are almost certainly true (Neubauer Fradella, 2014, p. 35). When the trial started, the evidence was strong enough for a guilty verdict. The prosecution had three witnesses to support the claim that Vole killed Emily French. The first witness, Inspector Hearne, provided the court with blood evidence on the sleeve of Vole s jacket; however, during cross examination, Sir Wilfrid disputed the evidence because Vole s blood type was not excluded as the donor. The second witness was Janet McKenize, Mrs. French s hard of hearing housekeeper, who stated she heard Vole and Mrs. French talking on the night of the murder; nevertheless, during cross examination, Sir Wilfrid discredited her testimony when he proved to the jury that she was hard of hearing. The GolfLogix system used Global Positioning System (GPS) technology and came equipped with a handheld receiver called the xCaddie. The xCaddie made it easier for golfers to measure the distance between their current position and the green. This concept helped diffuse the frustrations of the golfers themselves and of the other golfers who were waiting on the course. The xCaddie was easy for the golfers to read and it enabled the golfers to view their distances in both yards and meters. The product also included custom features that would tailor to the different needs of the different golfers (Gourville 1). They found that the standard rule for using a GPS was that it could be used for recreational golf but could not be used during tournament play (Gourville 3). By May 2002, GolfLogix consisted of six full time employees and had managed to raise $12 million. Although the company seemed to have a great start in the industry, there were many measurement systems that were currently being used by golf courses all around the world, including the yardage markers, sprinkler heads, yardage booklets, and rangefinders (Gourville 4). The yardage markers are considered the most widely used tool for golfers to measure the distance between the green and their current position. They saw shopping as a stressful experience and felt pressured by salespeople into buying expensive items. Customers wanted an enjoyable shopping experience and a no pressure selling environment. Concept II: 1989 1994 In response to this consumer research, Best Buy implemented a ground breaking grab and go store format in 1989 called Concept II. Backroom space in stores was turned into sales space and the inventory was put out on display with basic information labels so that customers could see what was in stock and understand the product without explanations from sales staff. Salaried product specialists replaced commissioned sales staff and, rather than pushing products on customers, patiently waited in department centers for customers who sought help. • 16. Benito Mussolini, AKA Il Dulce Benito Mussolini, known as Il Duce, was the founder of the totalitarian form of government known as Fascism. However that was not enough recognition; Mussolini wanted to demonstrate to the world that he could be a successful ruler as well. Mussolini came to power and remained in power primarily due to the actions of the Italian Blackshirts. As the Blackshirts maintained law and order, terrorized political opponents, defended Italy, and marched on Rome, Mussolini successfully ruled as dictator. Controlled and led by Mussolini, the Italian Blackshirts also known as the Squadre d Azione, were made up of war veterans and young people led by ringleaders. The Blackshirt uniform consisted of a green jacket and trouser with a black shirt and tie. The green colors were similar to that of the army uniforms, but the black shirt and tie differentiated the Blackshirts from the other combat forces. The Blackshirts were first created on March 23, 1919 and played a vital role in the rule of Mussolini. Benito Mussolini s rise to power primarily relied on the Blackshirts march on Rome. On October 24, 1922, Mussolini hosted a Fascist convention in Naples as the reason for the March on Rome. There he declared, Either the government will be given to us, or we will seize it by marching on Rome. Mussolini s plan was to threaten to occupy the nation s capital of Rome with his forces, the Blackshirts, and pressure King Victor Emmanuel III into inviting him into the government. ... Pablo Picasso (1881 1973) is commonly considered to be one of the greatest twentieth century radical European surrealist and cubist painters and sculptors to have lived, if not the greatest modern artist that Spain has ever produced. His prolific portfolio included experimentation in everything from printmaking to ceramics, although oil painting was for most of his career his primary medium. His extensive legacy in popular culture and fine art, particularly in abstract geometry and use of color, is extensive and incomparable to all but a few other titans of modern art. This overlapped with his transition into using warmer brown and red palette colors and his shift away from depicting depressing themes to a more neutral stance, both of which defined his Rose Period (c.1904 1907). Picasso s work during these years is still generally considered to be proto cubist, as it included some semi realistic elements and geometry. Picasso s interest in African (particularly African Tribal) influences is usually considered something of a brief flirtation that formed a stepping stone to his lifelong infatuation with depicting subversive cubist geometries. His experiments with African themes are considered to have concluded by the start of 1910, in favour of focusing on developing his (then) more successful 1908 experiments in Analytical Cubism into a coherent genre of painting. Nevertheless, Picasso never entirely abandoned his interest in Africa. Some much later work such as the painting Musician (1972) can be said to contain the same influences. Certainly, the enduring influence of some elements of the African Period on Picasso can be seen throughout the work that followed on from it. This is particularly so in Picasso s approach to facial structure and depiction of the human body after 1909. One of his most highly regarded paintings, Les Demoiselles d Avignon (1907), also emerged as an iconic work from his exploration of tribal African depictions of the human form. ... Corporate take it upon themselves and come up with an initiative to assess and take responsibility for the company s effects on the environment and impact on social welfare. This may involve incurring short term costs that do not provide an immediate financial benefit to the company, but instead promotes positive social and environmental change (Crowther Aras 2008). Our founder Bill Gates has set an exemplary model through the creation of Bill Gates Melinda Foundation that has lifted the lives of many poverty stricken people throughout the world. It is in line with this noble initiative by our founder that we are working to uphold the precedents set by our founder that we are setting out to launch the proposed (CRS) dubbed The Green Hills Initiative . The Green hill initiative is a project that will involve planting trees in the Olympic forest near the Olympic Peninsula. This is a project that will socially benefit the community near Redmond, Washington, where the Microsoft headquarters is located. With the increased consumer awareness on the various environmental issues, companies are made to take up proactive steps in supporting green initiatives ( Corporate Programs , n.d.). This by all ... Thus, as the aluminum oxide film becomes thicker, it will absorb moisture from the air. In fact, moisture is the source of hydrogen, which could affect the quality of the weld (e.g. porosity). Another reasons aluminum is different from steels when welding is that, aluminum also does not change its color as temperature approaches the melting point. The oxide that forms so rapidly on its surface has a melting point around 3,200 °F, likewise aluminum boils at a lower temperature at 2,880°F [3]. The oxide is also tends to be heavier than aluminum, and when melted, it tends to be trapped in the molten aluminum. Therefore, it is very important ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Policy Proposal for Economic Reform in Russia Essay Policy Proposal for Economic Reform in Russia Despite making a recovery after the 1998 market crash, Russia remains weighted with numerous holdovers from the Communist era that keep its economy from taking advantage of free market reforms. In short, Russia has not prospered under capitalism because it has not yet discovered it. In order to do so, the Russian government must engage in extensive reform in several key areas: improving the rule of law, creating stable monetary policy, and ending a policy of favoritism to particular businesses. Engaging in these reforms would lower the extremely high transaction costs of doing business legally, stimulating a wave of new investment and wealth creation within Russia, as well as encouraging ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The lack of clearly defined and enforced property rights is another major problem. The communist era criminal code has only been partially replaced, and each contract must be carefully examined to check whether it contradicts an ever shifting mess of regulations. In addition, it is unclear what success the communists will have in the next election, so long term planning is very difficult because the future is so unpredictable. Despite an ambitions privatization program, many of the large factories remain state owned, partly because of the fact that their outdated and inefficient production would immediately and properly put them out of business under a free market. However, because the government has so much influence over the banks, it keeps funding these inefficient enterprises to earn the support of the many workers they hire. Many of the factories that were privatized, simply signed ownership to their communist bosses, and because of their pull with the government, stay alive by government aid. Despite all the issues mentioned above, the biggest challenge to Russian economic growth is probably its monetary policy. The Russian central bank is a direct holdover from Soviet times and needs to change its policy drastically to adapt to a free market economy. In a capitalist economy, private banks serve to store money and provide investment to business. • 24. The Severing Nature Of Sin In Jenson s View Of God Like any relationship, the relationship between God and his people requires input from both parties. One of the ways to positively engage in the relationship is through prayer, however, one of the ways to both actively and negatively engage in this relationship is through sin. Many historical and social developments have shifted sin into the realm of ethics, however, for Jenson, it is a theological concept. It is a theological concept in the sense that it relates to the active relationship between man and God, which stems precisely from being made in the image of God. As a result, sin is what breaks up this active relationship and community that God has established. Jenson achieves this conception of sin by once again analyzing God s identity in scripture, specifically his active ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sin is not only the rejection of one s relationship with god, but a rejection of one s relationship to other human beings as well. The aforementioned good moral life is not an individual goal that is separate from God or other human beings, it is a collective goal that forms a community that this sin destroys. The severing nature of sin stems directly from the story of Adam and Eve: their betrayal of God through manifests itself in original sin and relationship severing consequences, there is a division between humans, in which the woman is directed to be ruled by the husband, and a division between man and God, in which the people are banished from the garden of Eden and its many blessings. However, sin is only a rupture, not a complete dissolution, of one s relationship with God and thus, it is mendable and redeemable. • 25. Aerobic Respiration And Aerobic Respiration Aerobic respiration, also known as cellular respiration, is an essential process for the production of ATP and occurs in 3 metabolic stages. The stages included are glycolysis, the Kreb s cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation. Throughout the whole process, glucose or various other saccharides are broken down, producing CO2, ATP, NADH, Pyruvate, and FADH2. Aerobic respiration and anaerobic respiration are very similar, the only difference is the final electron acceptor, as Aerobic respiration involves oxygen. In order to study and detect how much cellular respiration occurs in an organism, the amount of glucose used, the amount of oxygen consumed, or the amount of CO2 given off can be measured. Bread, wine, and beer are all made from yeast. Yeast must go through cellular respiration and produce CO2 in order for the bread to rise and form properly; however, different monosaccharides may affect the level of CO2, measured in mL, given off by Saccharomyces cerevisiae (found in yeast), while affecting yeast s ability to metabolize during glycolysis. Durham tubes (a sealed, cut off 5 mL, pipette) can be used to measure the amount of CO2 produced as the yeast metabolizes. The approached used was to test the level of CO2 (mL) production, after different solutions with 1.5 mL of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and 4.5 mL and either 1M of glucose, fructose, or galactose go through cellular respiration. The higher level of CO2 produced indicates the more cellular respiration that took place. A ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The three trainers met to review the different methods and discuss which method would be the best method of training for this group of individuals. The trainers started the process by reviewing and discussing the lecture method of training. Once discussing this method, it was decided that this was not the proper training method for this group of individuals. Some people find this type of training boring and become disengaged early in the training, resulting in poor training results. Next the trainers reviewed the experiential training method and reviewed the four step process of training. The book analyses on the law, morality and fear or threat through which the author is attempting to classify the question as to whether the law can be conceptualized as the forceful orders or the moral commands. Prof. Hart is of the opinion that all laws need not be classified as coercive or moral commands, there need not be any logical connection between the Laws, and morality or between the laws and coercion. He is of the opinion that by classifying all laws as either moral commands or coercive orders will be misleading and mischaracterizing the purpose and function for which the law was originally created. The land above them was submerged with endless pouring rain and deadly jungles. The sight of the sun was a rare miracle that only happened once every seven years. The children spent all their life in the enclosed underground tunnels, well all except for one. The gloomy, enclosed environment affects everyone greatly. The message of the story shows how the environment and the people around you can affect you because of their own lack of experiences. The author portrays this when the children harass the main character, he also uses craft moves to show isolation of the main character, and how depressed she is as a result. To begin, the author shows that the harassment Margot goes through is due to the children lack of knowledge about the sun since they have spent their whole life on Venus. • 41. Cretaceous Mass Extinction The Cretaceous mass extinction had two theories on how and why it happened through the impact hypothesis. The first one was suggested that an asteroid collided with Earth 65 million years ago. Luis Alvarez and his son, Walter Alvarez found high levels of the rare metal iridium in the layers of the Earth during the periods of the Cretaceous and Tertiary located in Italy. Their proof is that it was the cause of extinction by an asteroid the size of 10 kilometers. The second impact hypothesis was from a crater that was found buried off the coast of Yucatan, Mexico. Due to the material that was thrown from the crater into the air, plant life could not receive sunlight to survive. The same goes for animals as the atmosphere was filled with dangerous ... From birth, the Samurai were to undergo brutal training to ensure their success as warriors. However, many of these early Japanese made weapons were not practical; they were used for religious ceremonies and rituals, indicating a relatively peaceful island nation during its early years. But we cannot be sure. All the great conceptual discoveries of the human intellect seem obvious and inescapable once they had been revealed, but it requires a special genius to formulate them for the first time. The Jews had this gift. To them we owe the idea of equality before the law, both divine and human; of the sanctity of life and the dignity of human person; of the individual conscience and so a personal redemption; of collective conscience and so of social responsibility; of peace as an abstract ideal and love as the foundation of justice, and many other items which constitute the ... The Modern Orthodox Jews have a significantly lower divorce rate as there are no conflicts that have to do with which religion to follow (Waxman, 2009). In the secular or less Orthodox world, children can be brought up following two religions or even no religion at all. If they are brought up with no religion, there is a very low chance that they will follow Judaism when they grow older. Also by following two religions they may become very confused and they may in turn cause them to choose one over the other. When even one child doesn t choose Judaism, the Jewish population suffers. It may not seem like a big issue when looking at one child but with a 72% intermarriage rate in non Orthodox America (Simple to remember, 2011) it can be a huge predicament. However some people believe that limiting intermarriage will harm the Jewish population by not letting people marry who they love. Going along this argument, if they do not date people of other religions in the first place, they can not fall in love with them. With Modern Orthodox Judaism, intermarriage is very rare which helps keep the Jewish people a nation with a growing population. (Akujobi) However, our society today and in the past have had the same challenge, which is the suppressing of women by men. Anais Nin asked; How wrong is it for a woman to expect the man to build the world she wants, rather than to create it herself? In today s life it is getting better since women finally start having their own carrier instead of getting married with 20 while already being pregnant. Augsburg s bishop Walter Mixa called women a few years ago baby producers , which is a very outdated view of women and got ripped into pieces for that statement. This shows that even though they are old fashioned people around the majority understands that women and men are equal and women deserve to be happy, independent and successful. (Leigh W, 2015) Due to report of Australia s government records, since 30 June 2015, 28.2% of Australia s estimated resident population was born overseas. And the number of people who comes from china is the third largest group of Australia s estimated resident population group (excluding people born in Australia). (Migration, 2015) as we know, ever since 1980s, China s students flock into Australia to study. After they finished their study, quite a fair amount of them decide to get Australia s PR or citizenship and stay in Australia. If people decide to stay, they need a place to live. So these students certainly brought huge impact to Australia s real estate industry. The impact of China s imigrat on Australian property has been both indirect through the impact on the broader economy and direct through capital flows and Chinese developers building Australian businesses.
