Analyze the Learners
- Teaching how to write a how to essay to 9th
graders. There are 23 students 12 girls, and
11 boys. English speaking. Reviewing skills to verify students essay skills.
State Objectives
- My students will learn about the thesis and introduction and then work on their own or
in groups for their project.

Utilize Media and Materials
- Using my computer and the smart board, I will show my students a carton about
introductions using Go Animate. Then they will follow me on Pinterest and look at my
pins on essay introductions. Then the class will split up to continue research for their
projects. Using the introduction content given they will begin to write an introduction
for their expository project. If they do not finish in class they will complete it as
homework. As a guide to help the students with their pre-writing, I have made a podcast
that they can listen to as a step by step guide.

- Hands on learning: conducting research and working with other classmates, using

- I will evaluate my students by having them complete their introductions for their
