theory of Multiple
Intelligences utilizes
aspects of cognitive and
developmental
psychology,
anthropology, and
sociology to explain the
human intellect. The
theory was introduced
in 1983, with Gardner's
book, Frames of Mind.
4. Culture ,language ,and environment all
influence how an individual's intelligence is
expressed.
He sees intelligence as taking three forms :
• The ability to solve real–life problems, to find
and create problems and to offer a product or a
service that is valued in at least one
culture(1983)
5. Gardener’s definition
moves away from a
quantifiable number on
a linguistic or
mathematical test and
suggests to teachers
that examining
intelligent behavior to
document the full range
of a students'
capabilities
