choices the individuals make in each group. As the role of the narrator and main character, Ponyboy explains to readers how different factors,

The research reviews expectancy violation theory and its significance in understanding interpersonal communication. The theory highlights the

All of these stresses can lead to a number of serious physical and mental issues including low self–esteem, self–harm, and even thoughts of suicide. The
worst part about teen stress is that teens do not know how to handle it. They cannot cope with their changing responsibilities and this leads to role
conflict and their inability to react to situations properly. The best thing a teen can do is find a way to control, regulate, and reduce the stress in their
lives. In comparison, teens today experience higher levels of stress from academics and an abundance of extra–curricular activities which is only made

The Information Technology department at my job is a group I am part of and also a group that has some history. Our longest standing member has
served the company for nearly ten years and could probably describe the changes that have occurred much better than me. From my perspective,
this group has not changed much since I became member. Much of the standards and principles shared by each member have been in place well
before I started. Norms seem to predominantly represent the flow of communication and behavior within this group. The course text describes norms
as "informal rules" or "unstated expectations" (Galanes & Adams, 2013, p. 162). Within this department, there are various unspoken rules that are
respected by each member of the group. Some norms are influenced by common sense. For example, if there is a misunderstanding about a request
that was made or an unintended mistake. Nobody is yelled at or punished it in an embarrassing or demeaning way. Honestly is also expected from
each member of the group. In fact, there is a weekly team meeting where each member is encouraged to discuss any issues they are having. It is a
meeting where the norm is that whatever is spoken in the room, stays in the room. The norms within this group were reinforced by the conformity
displayed by each member. When I entered the group, I noticed that everyone followed these norms without issue. They weren't unreasonable norms
