Response paper:After reading the assigned materials and video clips, answer the following
questions.1. What is the “Hypothesis”? Explain it.2. Good Research Hypotheses should use
“Observable (or Testable) Terms”. Explain “observable terms” and provide the use of
example(s).3. Explain one-tailed hypothesis and two-tailed hypotheses and provide an
example for each hypothesis4. Develop one-tailed hypothesis, based on the following
research.To evaluate the effectiveness of the case management program aimed at the
improving school attendance. Dr. Park compared the changes in school attendance between
teens who chose to participate in his program and teens who chose to participate in a
program offering a cash incentive for attending school. Attendance was measured at the
beginning and the terminal point of each program. The results showed that the attendance
increased 50 % in his program and 25% in the case incentives program.From the above
research, Independent Variable (IV) is type of intervention and Dependent Variable (DV) is
school attendance. IV has two values: Dr.Park’s program and case incentive program. DV’s
value is the number of school attendance.
