A solid is a three-dimensional object that takes up space.
It has a width, a length and a height.




 The surface of a 3D shape is called a face.
 An edge joins two faces.
 Edges meet at a vertex. A vertex is a corner of a
 shape.
A net is a three dimensional object opened
out and laid flat.

A plan is the view looking down on a shape. It is a two-
dimensional drawing.
The elevation is the view looking at the front or side of
a shape.
