2. KeyTakeaways
I learned that I need to redefine my definition of
“creative” and “creativity”
I learned to use the “ideate 50” more often when it
comes to thinking of solutions
I learned that many of us have the same issues with
work & learning.
3. Up and Down
Highs
Learned about the human
condition
Learned that creativity can
be honed
Learned that if given the
right framework, I can be a
problem solver
Lows
No interaction with
learning squad
Trying to figure out the
technology
Not really having enough
time to test my prototype
4. Reflection
My design thinking process was quite a challenge
because I had to tweak the way I normally do things.
While I’m quite good at Empathy & Define, the Ideate
phase is where I hit my first block. It was hard to think
about solutions in a creative way. Trying to reach the 50
is what kept me going and forced me to think “outside
the box”. Once I hit my goal, the prototype phase was
the next challenge. I’m not really a “builder”, but more
of a “thinker”. But using the toolkit helped me figure
out how to drill down on my solution ideas and move
forward with a prototype for one.
5. What’s Next…
I’m in a creative industry part-time so I think that
the design thinking process will be well received at
work
The drawback is that we are a three-person
team, so I am not even sure where to start
I would like to apply this to areas of my personal
life, but not sure how to frame the issues with this
model
