What is voicethread and how can you use it as a teacher.

2. Why learn Voicethread? It is a free program No downloading is needed to use the program It is a fun, creative and secure kid friendly environment that all ages can use.

3. How does it work? All you need is a computer with internet access and an email account. You can create multiple identities on your account adding icons for each child. Then post a picture or slide show and have your children post comments on what they saw and heard. They can do this with a phone or headset in the room.

4. How can I use it in my room? You can use it as a way for the children to hear themselves read. Also they can create their own opinion before hearing others. The teacher can post a book and have the children post their own reviews on the book. Creating a literature circle that they can go back and look at. The children can create their own stories on the program by adding words to their pictures. The children can go back and listen to a lesson that they may need help with still and work at their pace.
