1. Tiles stands out because its on a dark background. And in a big bold font. Picture covers up most of the page which is good because shows people what is going on in the magazine. This makes people want to read because no one have ever seen it before. Every magazine has to have a barcode.

2. This is the masthead Also known as the title of the magazine or logo. By looking at the title you would normal be able to tell what kind of magazine you are looking at for example This magazine is called Kerrang and it’s a rock magazine. The title is white and they have placed it one a black background to make it stand out. It is bold and in capital letters. This is so that it stands out and you can see it. I think this title is really in your face and I think that is the look they where going for. On many magazine now you will normally see the Win! Sign. This automatically attracts people because they want to know about it for example what they are winning, how they can enter e.t.c. This is the main cover line. It is used to attracts people into reading the magazine because they see it on the front then want to know more but they have to buy the magazine to be able to do this. This cover stands out very much as it is right in the middle of the page and it would be one of the firsts things people would normally see. A barcode is used on every magazine its not a selling point but every magazine needs to have one.
