celebrity at hand (source of
information). This makes the
information have a sense of
exclusivity and makes the
reader think that it is only
accessible through this
magazine which increases the
sales potential.
The articles on the front of
the magazine all features the
biggest the biggest named
artists and drakes signature
gold colour for his own name
and adds a luxurious feel. Also
the contrast of the white
background and black text
help the text to standout
more from the rest of the
magazine cover.
The centre of the magazine
cover is obviously drake and he
is displayed in a black and
white colour scheme which
creates a “timeless” effect as it
feels like a throwback to retro
photos. The font style is a very
sleek and smooth font which
makes the magazine look
higher quality and more
professional but it is also very
clear to read and bold enough
to draw the readers attention.
The magazines main form of
advetisement is by the
appearance of being
luxurious and exclusive. The
colour scheme and
photograph style of drake
create the connotations of
being

The background has very simple
and natural/tonal colors which
keeps it simplistic but also means
the readers attention isn't
focused onto the scenery as the
person centered is the main draw
of attention. This is reiterated by
how he is placed in front of the
main title of the magazine, which
is normally the center of
attention due to it being the most
important aspect of the magazine
for publishers.
Tyler’s clothes and stance help him
stand out and become more vibrant
from the dull scenery and shows
even more contrast from the rural
scenery by wearing very high-end,
urban clothing. The articles
surrounding tyler are all to do with
him, including his own fashion
brand and also “a man with THE
independent mind”. This adds a
form of individuality to Tyler by
adding the “the” meaning that his
presence in this magazine is unique
to any other and adds a sense of
urgency to buy the magazine by
adding a fear of missing out.
The very simplistic and smooth
text and font style creates a
calming and relaxing view to the
magazine and also makes it
seem more professional and
sleek. The white colour also
calmly contrasts from the pale
blue sky background enough to
get the viewers attention but
not enough to draw the main
attention from the model.
The unusual nature of the
clothing and scenery helps to
draw in the viewer as it has a
very unique take on fashion
and has a sense of an exclusive
view on fashion that only this
magazine can offer the viewer.
The articles also seem to offer
informative articles about up
and coming
brands/collaborations which
the readers might want to read
about.

The colour scheme for the magazine is
mainly just shades of black and white,
including the title of the magazine and
all text. Even the shoes that are centerd
are grey and white with only slight tints
of red. The lack of colour throughout
the front cover is to add a sleek and
timeless feel to it and to also help draw
attention to the shoes themselves by
subtly adding in the red, as it is the only
bright colour on the cover. It also
features an effect around the shoes
that shows particles coming off the
shoe which makes the shoe seem to
have movement and seem more sport-
like.
The articles in the magazine are
shown as minimalistic and only briefly
explain the stories inside the
magazine. This keeps the cover very
minimalisticly simple to make it look
more modern and easy on the eye.
The title of the magazine is
“sneakers” which is very straight to
the point of the type of magazine it
is but also the font style of the word
changes after each letter. It gives
each letter individuality and can also
be interpreted as the individuality of
each magazine, changing after each
issue. The font for the articles in the
bottom right are also very small and
out of view. This is because the
viewer should have a basic
understanding of what is inside the
magazine .
Research Analysis
• What common features do the researched
products have? All products go for a very sleek and minimalistic look. This is
because magazines sacrifice the look of professionalism to attract the attention of the
viewers, having very bright and bold colours clashing together to look as ugly as possible.
This isnt necessary for high end fashion and sneaker magazines as it has such a niche market
that the only people buying them, are people who are actively seeking the exact magazine,
not just someone who strolls past one.
• What aspects of the research will you include
within your on work?
• I will use this minimalistic look used by most of the magazine but also try and make my
magazine look as unusual and subtly standout as possible by using contrasting backgrounds
and sleek font styles.

  • 3. Existing Product The type of content is informative and features plenty of interviews and information coming straight from the celebrity at hand (source of information). This makes the information have a sense of exclusivity and makes the reader think that it is only accessible through this magazine which increases the sales potential. The articles on the front of the magazine all features the biggest the biggest named artists and drakes signature gold colour for his own name and adds a luxurious feel. Also the contrast of the white background and black text help the text to standout more from the rest of the magazine cover. The centre of the magazine cover is obviously drake and he is displayed in a black and white colour scheme which creates a “timeless” effect as it feels like a throwback to retro photos. The font style is a very sleek and smooth font which makes the magazine look higher quality and more professional but it is also very clear to read and bold enough to draw the readers attention. Existing Product The background has very simple and natural/tonal colors which keeps it simplistic but also means the readers attention isn't focused onto the scenery as the person centered is the main draw of attention. This is reiterated by how he is placed in front of the main title of the magazine, which is normally the center of attention due to it being the most important aspect of the magazine for publishers. Tyler’s clothes and stance help him stand out and become more vibrant from the dull scenery and shows even more contrast from the rural scenery by wearing very high-end, urban clothing. The articles surrounding tyler are all to do with him, including his own fashion brand and also “a man with THE independent mind”. This adds a form of individuality to Tyler by adding the “the” meaning that his presence in this magazine is unique to any other and adds a sense of urgency to buy the magazine by adding a fear of missing out. The very simplistic and smooth text and font style creates a calming and relaxing view to the magazine and also makes it seem more professional and sleek. The white colour also calmly contrasts from the pale blue sky background enough to get the viewers attention but not enough to draw the main attention from the model. The unusual nature of the clothing and scenery helps to draw in the viewer as it has a very unique take on fashion and has a sense of an exclusive view on fashion that only this magazine can offer the viewer. The articles also seem to offer informative articles about up and coming brands/collaborations which the readers might want to read about.

  • 7. Existing Product The colour scheme for the magazine is mainly just shades of black and white, including the title of the magazine and all text. Even the shoes that are centerd are grey and white with only slight tints of red. The lack of colour throughout the front cover is to add a sleek and timeless feel to it and to also help draw attention to the shoes themselves by subtly adding in the red, as it is the only bright colour on the cover. It also features an effect around the shoes that shows particles coming off the shoe which makes the shoe seem to have movement and seem more sport- like. The articles in the magazine are shown as minimalistic and only briefly explain the stories inside the magazine. This keeps the cover very minimalisticly simple to make it look more modern and easy on the eye. The title of the magazine is “sneakers” which is very straight to the point of the type of magazine it is but also the font style of the word changes after each letter. It gives each letter individuality and can also be interpreted as the individuality of each magazine, changing after each issue. The font for the articles in the bottom right are also very small and out of view. This is because the viewer should have a basic understanding of what is inside the magazine .

This is because magazines sacrifice the look of professionalism to attract the attention of the viewers, having very bright and bold colours clashing together to look as ugly as possible. This isnt necessary for high end fashion and sneaker magazines as it has such a niche market that the only people buying them, are people who are actively seeking the exact magazine, not just someone who strolls past one. • What aspects of the research will you include within your on work? • I will use this minimalistic look used by most of the magazine but also try and make my magazine look as unusual and subtly standout as possible by using contrasting backgrounds and sleek font styles.
