Audience feedback on music magazine design
1. Audience Feedback
By looking at the Front Cover of the magazine, is it clear that it is a music
magazine?
I think it is clearly a music magazine as the front image includes a person holding
some guitar pics and the information surrounding the image is related to music.
In your opinion, is the Front Cover visually attractive?
To me I feel the front cover is visually attractive as the bright colours contrast the
dark and really stand out and the image jumps out at you.
Do you feel there is too much, or too little information on the front cover?
I feel there is a sufficient amount of information on the front cover as it makes me
want to turn to the contents page to found out more.
Would this magazine catch your attention if it were on the shelf in a shop?
The title of the magazine really stands out and the writing at the top really stands
out due to the colours as well, so yes it would catch my attention.
Would you buy the magazine by just seeing the front cover?
Just by seeing some of the information on the front I would be willing to open the
contents page to find out more, I would then be willing to buy the magazine if the
articles suited my interests.
Does the Contents page look professional to you?
The contents page does look professional to me in a way, I feel a different layout
would make it look more professional.
Does the Double Page Spread look professional to you?
The double page spread does look professional to me as the article is within
columns, the title stands out and there is an image related to the article.
By looking at the Front Cover, Contents Page and Double Page Spread, is there an
obvious house style to the magazine?
The same colours and font have been used throughout the magazine, there is an
obvious house style to me.
Do you feel that the contents page includes enough information?
In my opinion the contents page could include a lot more information, if not more
articles at least a very brief description of what the article is about?
Do you feel that the contents page has a suitable layout?
I feel the contents page layout is acceptable but a different choice of layout would
improve professional affect.
Are all three pages of the magazine attractive and professional visually?
To me the magazine as a whole does look professional.
2. Does this product look similar to any you have already seen in the shops?
I think this magazine does look fairly similar to one already in the shops, maybe
one of two.
