2. SOME / ANY
Some and any are generally used as quantifiers. With these two we can
show the existence or the absence of something.
Both are used with uncountable nouns and with plural countable nouns.
For example:
They have some apples in the freezer.
There isn’t any milk in the fridge.
3. SOME
We use some with uncountable and plural countable nouns
in affirmative sentences and offers.
For example:
Offer: Would you like some tea?
Would you like some sugar?
Affirmative sentence: There are some carrots in the fridge.
4. ANY
We use any with uncountable and plural countable nouns
in negative sentences and questions.
For example:
Question: Is there any milk in the fridge?
Negative sentence: there aren’t any apples in the fridge.
5. RESUMEN
Some y Any son utilizados para definir la existencia o la ausencia de algo.
Estos dos se usan con sustantivos incontables o sustantivos plurales
contables.
Some:
Some se utiliza en una oración afirmativa o para ofrecimientos.
Por ejemplo: Would you like some tea? (quieres algo de te)
There is some milk in the fridge (hay algo de leche en el refri).
Any:
Any se utiliza en una oración negativa y para hacer preguntas.
Por ejemplo: There aren’t any apples (no hay ninguna manzana)
