What went well: the camera and all of the angles were very
good. The different sort of camera movements such as the two
shot or the mid shot were used effectively. There was dialogue
which told us about more about the characters personality..
Mise en scene was used very well, apart from the location of
the drug deal. Drugs deals often happen in run down houses or
in an alley way. The titles which were used was used
appropriately. They told the audience the main characters
names., which is always nice to know when watching a film.
Even better if. Used perhaps more camera angles to show the
intense moment when they are doing the deal. Also change the
location in which the drug deal is being placed. This mean it
could get changed to an alley way where it is dark or a run
down house.

What went well: the opening scenes were interesting. We got
told the film name. Mise en-scene was used appropriately
However as the same as the first one i discussed the location of
what happened did not suit what did happen. The camera
angles which were used was correctly done. Using a long shot
which shows what is going on at the moment in the scene
shows us what exactly is going and where its going on to.
Even better if: If we knew if the film name at the beginning as a
film name often tells the audience if the film is going to be any
good. Also where the murder happened is something that they
could improve. A murder often happens in a unseen location or
when it is dark.

What went well: this opening scene was one of
best. We got introduced to the characters promptly.
This happened in a range of different camera
movements. Mise en-scene was used perfectly. We
knew where the setting was and the lighting and
other factors were great. The sound on the other
hand was poor i will discuss why in the EBI section.
When the two characters were fighting there was
also a range of camera shots which was used to
show the intense scenes. Theses camera shots were
close ups and long shots.
Even better if: on the day filmed this it was raining
this sound was also in there video. This made the
audience perhaps not hear them correctly. Also the
fighting went on for too long. It could of lost the
audience interest.
4. Summary of how it will help my film
improve.
• From these 3 opening scenes i have learnt to use a
range camera movements as it creates tension. I also
learnt and will take into consideration on how long
certain scenes are in my opening 2 minutes. The
setting is also important to what is happening in the
opening scene. As i have learnt drug dealing or murder
don't often happen in well known places or modern
houses. So that's also something i will take into
consideration. The day i film my scene i will have to
make sure that its not raining or anything else that will
interrupt my scene as the audience might not
understand the dialogue that is happening.
