Working Title: project rachel
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Product’s Purpose:
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this? The purpose
of this product is to help people pick clothing for 6-10 year old girls around autumn/ winter time
Genre:
What sort of product is it? It’s a magazine spread about fashion, it will be for girls fashion aged 6-
10 t6o help people pick outfits for autumn and it makes it easier for people to order online as the
can look in that and easily search it.
Content
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here. It doesn’t have a particular story but it does have and autumn setting to fit into
the clothing range. It will have prices and shop names for people to go out and get the perfect
autumn/winter outfit.
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc.
Why would your project appeal to this person? The audience is very open as it is for anyone who
has someone aged 6-10 in their family or friend of the family who are wanting clothing. I a bigger
perspective the magazine is really aimed at 25-40 year old women but it doesn’t have to be that’s
just what the magazine is mostly based around but other ages and genders are able to read it too.
It has no discriminative articles in it. Only thing that is different now is that am not doing a full
collection so I couldn’t get any more models I only have one white British child to work with but in
my bigger collection there will be Black, White and Asian models. Still this could be taken as sexist
but maybe in my bigger collection I could get male models too but at the moment I am focusing on
girls’ clothing as I only have a one model for my samples so the other ideas will be brought up
when I do my bigger collection.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include? This is just my small collection so I only used
one model so in my bigger collection I would be using different kids in different races.
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
The magazine doesn’t restrict younger people but the magazine is normally aimed at adults as it
has more things in it for an older generation so isn’t aimed at the but is suitable enough for the
younger generation to read if they wanted to as it does have pictures of younger children’s clothing
in the magazine.
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? At the early stages of my collection it will seen
as racist because I only have one model who is white British so would have to find for a bigger
collection people with different ethnicity to make the overall finished product less offensive.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? Make sure all the pictures are decent and do not
have offence apart from that the model is only white I don’t have any models with other races so I
my bigger collection.
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs? Am going to be using shop names
to show where the clothes were bought as part of my collection is to help people find
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
