3. To maintain recognition with the band I needed to
create similarities and maintain iconography with the
ancillary tasks .This would connect each product
related to the band and further promote each product
through the others. These could be both obvious like a
logo or subtle similarities .

I also needed to think about the appropriateness of the
products and where they would be presented to an
audience and how they would compare to existing
products.
4. I chose to use
continuation in font as a
subtle brand awareness
factor. This can be seen in
both the music video
credits and in the digipak
poster.
I chose not to continue the
font onto the digipak cd
inlay as I felt the font was
too bold for a small font
type and so it looked
unusual so due to
appropriateness I used a
the font in a slimmer
form.
5. While the main task
was in colour I felt due to
where the poster would be
displayed which would be
most likely a pub or club a
more stylistic greyscale
approach would be more
appropriate. Then to
continue the brand image I
chose to use mostly
greyscale for the cd inlay as
well.
There was a slight
colouration of a couple of
the shots therefore while
the majority connected to
the style of the poster it
also connected to the main
task stylistically.
6. I decided that throughout the digipak I would
reference the music video and connect the
print tasks to the video shoot to self promote
the video itself. This would be recognisable to
audiences and further create a brand
awareness.
I chose to create a natural and relaxed theme
for both print tasks as I felt this was true to
the image I had given the band and so the un-
posed natural photos reinforced the
atmosphere of the music video.
7. Some images can
be seen in both the
poster and CD inlay this
was done purposely as
another technique to
create a band brand.
The continual use of
similar pictures creates
a brand umbrella for
the products connecting
all products to each
other through
similarities. This was
most noticeably
achieved for my print
tasks through image.
