2. This is Wayne, he is 20, lives in London and
listens to all kinds of electronic music. He
lives on his own which means he doesn’t
have much extra cash, but when he has
some left over he goes into town with his
friends. He reads music magazines and
goes on websites like Soundcloud and
Youtube to keep up with the scene. His
favourite music is house and garage
because he can dance to house.
3. Pitch
My magazine is a deep house music magazine. It is written and caters for men and women
ages 16- 26, although it really can be enjoyed by anyone 15+. Typical readers of this magazine
like to go out on a weekend, but only to clubs that play house/ electronic music.
The magazine will deliver exclusive interviews as well as providing opinions and keeping its
readers up to date with tours/ festivals. There are also sections which dedicate themselves to
discussing tech, like decks, headphones and other audio equipment.
The price of the magazine is £2.50. This fits in with the social demographic of A-C2 according
to the National Readership Survey, although many articles can be found for free from our
electronic version of the magazine, although this version of the publication relies on user
generated content. This helps keep it free and still have an avid readership.
