1. Who would be the audience for
your media product?
{Red text is spoken}
2. The target audience for my indie music magazine would be people aged between
16 - 21, even though this is not a wide range, I believe my magazine is only
suitable for that audience because I don’t think younger teens would listen to
indie music as much and perhaps an older audience also have different music
tastes.
3. I'd like my target audience to contain an equal percentage of male and female
readers (50-50%) due to the fact that I don’t want to isolate a certain gender with
the colours I have used or content in my magazine so both genders can read and
enjoy.

subjects she has taken are Media Studies, Textiles and English
Language as she wants to go into fashion when she is older.
Sophie enjoys listening to indie music in her spare time and
saves up all her money for small local gigs like Swim Deep or
Crystal Fighters. She volunteers at a charity shop; this allows her
to get clothes that are unique to her as they aren’t sold at every
high street shop. Sophie lives in Warrington but she always goes
to Manchester almost every weekend because there are more
opportunities for her there and that’s where many of her
favourite bands play when they come to the North West.
