Invisalign Research Paper
Goal: Help reader decide if Invisalign is right for them
Total Words in this Document:
Title: Is Invisalign Right for You?
Straight teeth are associated with everything from a better social life, better employment
opportunities, and a higher self–esteem. Even so, there is typically hesitation from most adults who
do not want the time and financial expense necessary to invest in braces, especially when their first
thought turns to traditional metal braces. New technology, though, like Invisalign, has helped to
make straight teeth a possibility for individuals who want discreet and effective treatment options.
What We Love about Invisalign

Challenges of Invisalign
For the treatment to be successful, patients need to commit to wearing the aligning trays for the pre–
set number of hours each day. Without wearing the trays, patients won't have see the anticipated in
the expected time period.
The trays need to be removed for eating, drinking, and some sports, while traditional braces are
affixed to the teeth and not removed until the end of treatment.
Every two weeks, patients will have a new series of trays. Visits to the provider won't happen that
frequently, but they will need to be regularly checked to make sure the teeth are moving into the
proper places.
There are a few cases in which Invisalign is not the best method to treat or correct a dental
condition.
Often, Invisalign has a higher cost involved than traditional braces, however, there can be, and are,
many exceptions.
Invisalign is regularly updating and improving the technology, and dentists and orthodontists who
are not regularly staying informed on the improvements may have a more challenging time
achieving the desired results.

cookie report Essay
1. Draw a flow chart of the cookie–making process (you can hand–draw and scan).
See the last page.
2. How long (the throughput time) will it take to fill a rush order of 1–dozen cookie? Assume no
other cookies are currently in process. Use a Gantt chart to help with the analysis and attach the
screen shot of the Gantt chart.
6+2+1+9+5+2+1=26 mins
3.What is the cycle time? How many orders can you fill in a night (4–hour period)? Does your
answer depend on the size of the order, 1–dozen, 2–dozen, or 3–dozen?
cycle time=60/6=10mins (Bottleneck is 10mins, 1hour(60mins)/10mins=6. It has a capacity 6 dozen
per hour)
1–dozen: The bottleneck is baking, which is total 10mins.The first step washing and mixing, ...

Why?
If our cost is depend on the ingredients. Therefore, giving discount or not is depend on how much
time we spend on the process. For the 2–dozen, we spend on 8.5 mins per dozen. 3–dozen, we spend
7.3mins per dozen. In this case, the time we spend on each dozen is decreasing in 2–dozen and 3–
dozen. Therefore, we can give the discount.
6.How many electric mixers and baking trays will you need? Why?
The bottleneck is baking, which takes 10mins. We can put 3 dozens of cookies in one mixer.
Therefore, buying an additional mixer is unnecessary. However, we should buy trays. The oven only
holds one tray each time. From spoon out the cookie onto a tray to pack them in boxes, this process
takes 19mins, if we only have one tray, then we waste time on that. Therefore, we need one more
tray if we want to bake 2–dozen cookies. However, just in case, I will buy 3 trays for future
accidentally damage.
7. How can you tell that the oven. From baking activity is the bottle neck? What is the effect of
adding another oven in term of cycle time and capacity? How much in general would you be willing
to pay to rent an additional oven (you won't be able to give a number because there is no data on
selling price and costs)?
The oven is the bottleneck, because it takes the longest time to bake, which takes 10mins. Most of
the order is waiting for the oven.
It takes 10mins for only oven working.

The Murphree 's Efficiency For A Bubble Cap Tray And A...
The main purpose of this experiment is to determine the Murphree's efficiency for a bubble cap tray
and a sieve tray in a distillation column and how the vapor flow rate affects the Murphree's
efficiency. The understanding of efficiencies is essential in the design and assessment of distillation
columns, because efficiency determines the degree of separation in mixtures.
Distillation columns can be used to separate binary mixtures or mixtures of several components. The
mixtures are separated by taking advantage of the different volatilities and boiling points of the
individual components. As heat is added to the distillation tower, the more volatile component, and
consequently the component with the lower boiling point will be boiled off faster than the less
volatile components. The volatile vapor then travels up the tower through the column trays and
comes into contact with the less volatile liquid at each tray. Since the vapor that travels up the tower
does not only contain one component but a mixture of all the components, the less volatile
component will condense back into liquid and create a higher concentrated vapor. The distillate
stream is at the top of the tower and contains the desired product of separation.
A distillation column is used to separate a binary mixture of ethanol and water. Ethanol is a more
volatile component and thus it will boil off faster than water. The distillation column is operated at
total reflux, which is an operating condition where

Write An Essay On Water Erosion
Water Erosion
Background
Erosion is the wearing away of sand soil or rock by water, or wind. Water erosion is the separation
and removal of soil. Water erosion occurs by rain carrying away bits of soil and slowly washing
away rock fragments (Society). Rushing streams and rivers wear away their banks, creating larger
and larger valleys. Water erosion can occur on streams, river banks, sea shores and seaside cliffs.
There are also different types of water erosion like sheet erosion. Sheet erosion is when water
washes away soil from the surface. Another type of water erosion is splash erosion. Splash erosion is
the movement of soil by a water droplet. Water erosion occurs more frequently in the spring because
it rains more, the rain then washes away rock fragments. An example of water erosion is the
colorado river. It cut deep into the land and formed the grand canyon.
Purpose
The purpose of this experiment is to examine the impact of water erosion on soil due to splash
erosion.
Hypothesis
If the height of the water increases then the amount of soil erosion will increase because the speed of
the water will create more pressure on the soil causing the soil to move further.
Procedure
Get a 600mL beaker and measure out 500mL of soil
Grab a tray and place the soil on the tray. Flip the beaker upside down on the tray and remove the
beaker so that there is a pile of dirt on the tray.
Measure the height of the dirt. It should be 2 inches tall.
Grab a 250 mL graduated cylinder

Carpal Tunnel Experiments
For this scientific experiment, the hypothesis was "Does the suspended tray technique decrease pain
caused by Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?" According to the results, the hypothesis was accepted.
Although most of the test results referred back to the suspended tray, there were a few that led to the
regular tray technique. Of the thirty people who were tested, nineteen subjects agreed to the
suspended tray as being the most comforting. Six of those thirty test subjects disagreed and believed
that the regular tray technique felt more soothing. The data turned out to be this way because when
people with Carpal Tunnel Syndrom put the strain on their wrist by using the regular tray technique

Case Questions
1. How long will it take you to fill a rush order?
Time taken to fill a rush order = MLT = 6 + 2 + 10 + 5 + 2 + 1 = 26 minutes
2. How many orders can you fill in a night, assuming you are open four hours each night?
4 hours per each night = 4 hours * 60 minutes = 240 minutes
Cycle Time = The Duration of the bottleneck = (Setting thermostat and Timer) + (Baking Cookies)
= 1 minute + 9 minute = 10 minutes
Maximum no of orders we can fill in a night = (No of minutes per night–Duration of First Setup) /
Cycle Time + 1 = ((240 – 26) / 10) + 1 = 22.4 orders ~ 22 orders
Explanation: This is because the first order takes 26 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, is there a bottleneck operation in your production process that you can expand
cheaply? What is the effect of adding another oven? How much would you be willing to pay to rent
an additional oven?
Assuming
1 order, only 1 dozen cookie
Second order comes in while person is making first batch
Assuming that we add another oven, the cycle time of the ovens would be 5 minutes. The new
bottleneck for the entire process would now be that of mixing the ingredients and dishing the
cookies onto the tray, a process which takes 8 minutes for 1 batch of cookies.
New cycle time = 8 minutes
Maximum no of orders we can fill in a night = (No of minutes per night–Duration of First Setup) /
Cycle Time + 1 = ((240 – 26) / 8) + 1 = 27.75 orders ~ 27 orders
Therefore, we would only be willing to pay at the most, (27–22) orders worth of rent, which = 5 *
(2.00 + 0.70) = $13.50 per day.
Problems for further thought
1. What happens if you are trying to do this by yourself without a roommate?
Looking at the diagram, from time (23 to 25), I will be involved in the packing of cookies for the
first batch. However, I will also be involved in the mixing of ingredients for the third batch. It is not
possible for me to be able to do two jobs at the same time; therefore either the third batch of cookies
will be delayed or the

High reliability has been established for the YCAT instrument. The internal consistency, or the
degree to which the items correlate with one another, averaged above 0.85 (Blanco & Ray, 2011).
The test–retest by the same examiner over a short–time interval was established at 0.98. Interrater

compared to other instruments, such as the Kaufman Survey of Early Academic and Language
Skills, the Metropolitan Readiness Tests, and the Gates–MacGinitie Reading Tests (Hresko et al.,

require a specific wait time before being re–administered (2011). There is a possibility that a
learning effect can happen for the participants that are taking the assessment; however, to control for

Importance Of School Counseling
According to the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), "Today's school counselors are
vital members of the education team. They help all students in the areas of academic achievement,
personal/social development and career development, ensuring today's students become the
productive, well–adjusted adults of tomorrow" (2017). The definition of a school counselor has
changed throughout the years. There has been a shift from guidance/vocational counseling to a more
well–rounded approach. Moving from guidance to counseling, means different job duties and
educational obstacles. Not only do the job responsibilities include career development,
social/emotional development, and academic achievement; included in this change is focus on
student's mental health. With the advancement of this career to the mental health field, comes with
educating stakeholders on the difference. One way to do this is by producing evidence that
counseling techniques work in a language that most stakeholders understand: academics. The money
a public–school receives correlates largely with achievement. If the students do well academically,
the school becomes more attractive. Salaries are better; therefore, more qualified teachers apply and
communities become more enticing to tax paying citizens. Just the opposite, schools that perform
poorly academically have higher poverty level, lower teacher experience, and less money paid per
student by the state in which it resides. All of this

The question that Maria and Elena are trying to answer by performing an experiment is whether cold
water or hot water freezes fasters to make ice cubes.
Maria's hypothesis for this experiment is that the cold water will freeze faster, she thinks this is
correct because the hot water molecules move faster than the cold water molecules, causing the hot
water to take longer to freeze.
To make the results of the experiment valid four variables to take into account are if the freezer is

Lab Report On Water Erosion
Erosion is materials such as rock and soil being removed by the force of weathering such as water,
wind, ice etc. Water erosion would be the main focus throughout this lab. Water Erosion involves
rock and soil being removed by any movements of water. An example would be the Grand Canyon.
It began in colorado, but due to colorado river it continue to grow deeper and cut into Arizona.
Water erosion occurs into anything involving river banks, streams, seashores, and lastly seaside
cliffs. Throughout the year water erosion particularly happens during spring time due to water
showers and creates a great amount of water to create water erosion.
The occurrence of water erosion is divided into 6 different stages. Sheet erosion is lost of soil
between cultivated and uncultivated environments. Cultivate is essential a way to prepare land of
water overflowing. Than Rill erosion is surface water that involves to channelside to concentration
of water. Comes along Gully erosion which is an amount of soil getting removed by water. Splash
erosion will come next which is movement of soil being directly affected by splashing. Bank erosion
come next which is essentially wearing away for rivers and valleys.

Legal Risk Case Study
Legal Risk
I work in a restaurant environment. As one can imagine, there are numberous health and safety, and
therefore legal, risks which must be considered at all times. This particularly true when rolling out
new processes and proceedures. Recently, the restranunt I work for switched the physical way the
menure items are brought to the guest to tray service (meaning eveything is brought to the guests
table on a large, black, oval tray). However, quickly after implimentation it became apparent there
was not enough consideration given to risk regarding the tray service. Problems with the new trays
include:
1: Weight – The weight of the tray, tray–jack, and the nitouriouly large portions of food is sevear.
Complications do to the wieght of the trays include staffs inablity to lift them, set them down, and

Size – The doorways of the restaurant cannot accomadte the size of a person as well as the size of
the tray. Therefor, trays must be held above the servers head, rather than resting on his/her shoulder,

store food/buisness, but more alarmingly, risks injuring the staff. The trays are also so large,
visibility is obstrusted which has already resulted in an injury to a child patron.
If the restaurant had considered the four stages of risk management, the trays may not have been

have been glarring obvious, especially since doorway size has been a known ADA concern for the

Kirsten Cookie Case
Solution to Kristen's Cookie Company (A) Before answering specific questions, it is useful to make
a diagram of the overall process: Note that in this diagram, activities are arranged in columns to
indicate which resources are being used. Inside each activity symbol are written the capacity (in
dozens of cookies) and the cycle time (in minutes). 1. How long will it take for you to fill a rush
order? Assuming this order is for one dozen cookies, we will need to do the following: Activity
Resource Cycle Time Start Time Finish Time Order Entry E–mail 0 minutes 00:00 00:00 Wash
Bowl, Mix Self 6 minutes 00:00 06:00 Fill Tray Self 2 minutes 06:00 08:00 Prepare Oven

The Gantt chart shows that we are using at most three trays in the filling activity at any given time
(and in fact this is only because this particular plan calls for filling three trays in rapid succession,
after which two of them sit waiting for an opportunity to get into the oven). There is never more
than one tray in the oven at any given time, nor is there ever any more than one tray cooling. So we
could certainly get by with five trays, and maybe four or even three if we adjust the mixing and
filling part of the operation. On the other hand, trays are cheap, and it would be a shame if we ever
had to keep the oven (the bottleneck) waiting for lack of a tray. It is reasonable to have "plenty" of
trays on hand, whether that means five, or ten, or whatever. 6. Are there any changes you can make
in your production plans that will allow you to make better cookies or more cookies in less time or
at lower cost? For example, is there a bottleneck operation in your production process that you can
expand cheaply? What is the effect of adding another oven? How much would you be willing to pay
for an additional oven? The bottleneck is the oven, which means there is no point in looking at
expanding the capacity of any other resource unless the operation's baking capacity is expanded
first. If we had two ovens, we could make cookies faster. But how much faster? This gets
complicated, but we can think about it by looking at the capacities

The Museum Of Fine Art
The Museum of Fine Art in Houston, Texas has a variety of art collections. To be precise, the
canopic jar is mounted on a large pedestal among other sculptures. This Canopic Jar was made in
Egypt during the dynasty XXVI, 664–525 B.C. It was made from limestone. The jar was masterfully
carved from stone and subsequently painted over. It is a historical masterpiece and it is relatively in
good condition. Such stone jars were used to house the organs of the deceased. Their organs were
put in these canopic jars during the mummification process. The lids of these stone jars have a
human face. The faces were carved to represent the four sons of the god Horus. The three–
dimensional jar is solid and quite large. It is well displayed in a spacious environment. The lid of the
jar is organic due to the life–like face that stares back at the viewer. The rest of the jar is cylindrical
with graceful proportions. The size of the jar interpenetrates with the surrounding space. It turns in
space and it was meant to be viewed from several points of view. Its cylindrical nature makes the
viewer's eye wander all around its form to take in its splendor. Contour lines have been used to make
the gentle outline of the jar, giving it a closed silhouette. The dominant linear elements have been
incised on the surface of the jar. Beautifully crafted hieroglyphic inscriptions can be seen on the
middle of the jar. The contour outline of the jar makes it have a volumetric presence. There are

Distillation And Liquid Separation
Distillation is a method of separating mixtures, based on the differences in the conditions required to
change the phase of components of the mixture. (Helmenstine, 2017)1. You can use double
distillation to purify the product even more. To separate the mixtures of liquid, the liquid can be
heated to force components, which have different boiling points, in to the gas phase. The gas is the
condensed into liquid form to be collected and removed. Distillation units are one of the most
popular ways of separation. The most common distillation technique is the liquid–liquid separation
process (Kunesh, Kister, Lockett, Fair, 1995). There are two distillation categories, these are batch
distillation and continuous distillation. Batch distillation is when lots of the product is made and
then the chemical reaction is over. Whereas continuous distillation is made in a continuous flow of
product. Distillation can make un–useful heavy products into useful smaller molecules, for example
using these techniques you can produce gasoline, distilled water, xylene, alcohol, paraffin, kerosene
and many other useful liquids. Also, gas mixtures can be separated, air can be distilled to get
elements of Nitrogen, Oxygen and Argon. After the process is finished a distillate is formed, this is
purified version of the original liquid. If there is a chemical reaction, then you can use a catalyst or
use phase equilibria to shift the equilibrium to the favourable side. There are also many techniques
used

Dependable Tray Truck Research Paper
Growing up in a family that runs a construction supplies store, I completely understand how
important it is to invest in a dependable tray truck. Essentially, having the right rig in your business
will make it easier for you to ship your building materials, such as cement, sand, glass fibers, and
wood, to your customers' location safely and on time. Now, if you're currently in the hunt for a tray
truck to add to your operations, I know a couple of models that you can look into. I will share them
all with you, starting with my most favored: the Hino Dutro 616. Impressively, this Hino working
dog is one of the trucks that has received several good feedback from operators. Let's figure out why
by getting into its features and capabilities below. Hino Dutro 616 Tray Truck: Key Features
Reliable My family actually had the chance to work with the Hino Dutro 616 before, and all I can
say is that it is truly a reliable tray truck. What powers it is a 4.0 litre intercooled turbo diesel engine
that can produce up to 150 horsepower. It also integrates a 5–speed manual transmission that makes
the rig easy to maneuver and drive around town. Robust body Apart from the excellent power, the
Dutro 616 boasts its robust body as well. Measuring 4,530 mm long and 2,300 mm wide, its steel
tray body is ROPS certified and can handle almost all ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If you will ask me, what I like about it is its dependability. For such a light–duty tray truck, it still
has the strength to carry your building materials and deliver them to your customers' locations safely
and on time. Another thing that I like about it is the fact that it is budget–friendly. Imagine, for only
around $26,355 AUD, you can already have a ergonomically designed rig that can serve as your
partner on the highway. Summing up, this Dutro 616 is a smart pick and a vehicle that is worthy of

Never Brought To A Patient
The fact that a tray was never brought to a patient is a serious issue. Nutrition for patients should be
a top priority along with their medical care. If a patient is dissatisfied with the care they are
receiving, future business and reputations could be destroyed. The first step would be to take care of
the patient. Ask the patient what they would like to have and immediately have the tray for them. It
would be best to bring the tray to them yourself and personally apologize for the inconvenience and
assure them that you will look into why the tray was never brought to them. Once the patient has
been taken care of and hopefully calmed down, the next step would be to follow up with everyone
involved in the tray delivery, especially the employee

The design brief for the timber tray is to design and manufacture a rectangular timber tray where it
is used to carry plates and cutlery for example morning breakfast in bed or maybe to carry drinks or
tea to a table.
2. Drawings: This may include freehand sketches and orthographic drawings.
3. Material List: This is an outline of the materials you used to manufacture your project.
To able to complete the project of the timber tray materials were used to manufacture a perfect
rectangular timber tray. The materials involved are garnet paper (80, 120 and 180), PVA glue,
plywood, pacific maple, 20mm and 12mm nails, putty and linseed oil.

These pieces were then nail together and a template was used to create the curved lines for the
timber tray and it showed how the pacific maple would end up like. The two–piece of woods were
then trimmed with a jigsaw and further trimmed with the band saw. The pacific maples were then
sanded to remove the marks created from the band saw. After that, two shorter pieces were chosen
and the same steps were applied. The two pieces were nailed and using a template the handles of the
timber tray were drawn. The drill press was then used to drill holes into the two pieces and then the
handles were made from using a jigsaw. The jigsaw sawed off the wood in marked area from the
template. The pair of handles were sanded to take of any sharp edges and to make the handle
smooth. Both pairs of wood were taken apart so there would be four pieces of wood, two long and
two short. Then the finger joint were made using the finger jointing machine (trimmer router) were
when cutting the joint for the shorter pieces, the end of the longer piece was put up against the
shorter piece and then that was drilled to create the finger joints. Once this process was done, the
four pieces were joined up to create the timber frame. This frame was then glued together using PVA
glue. A plywood base was then picked and the frame was marked on the plywood using a pencil.
The base and the frame were put together with a thin layer of PVA glue and then reinforced with
twelve–millimeter nails. The base had four nails along the length and three nails on the width. Nails
weren't nailed in the corners because it could nail into the joint, which would separate the joint and
create a gap in the joint. Once the glue had dried the timber tray was put on the linisher and the
timber tray was sanded to remove bits created by the linisher. After that, linseed oil was applied to
the timber tray. Once the oiling process was

Unhealthy Lunchrooms: Toxic For Schoolchildren And The...
In "Unhealthy Lunchrooms: Toxic for Schoolchildren and the Environment", Kati Huff had focused
and alternative solutions. Throughout the essay, she responded effectively for unhealthy ways and
excessive waste within the environment. These two subjects are some of America's greatest
concerns. Huff explains how most of these problems occur most in school cafeterias. As she argued
for the two subjects, she came up with viewpoints that explained how cafeterias could put an end to
environmental waste and obesity.
At the beginning of the essay, Huff stated fried foods are prevalent in almost all public schools. (pg.
150). She feels that feeding adolescents grease saturated foods on non–biodegradable trays is not
doing anything, but causing an increase in one of America's concerns, obesity. (pg. 150). It is
believed by giving out healthier foods at schools students may become more precautious to what
they are digesting. A 2005 article explained how school lunches contained French fries, breaded
patties, and canned vegetables. (pg. 151). This may persuade students to purchase unhealthy snacks
that the school offers. (pg. 154). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Styrofoam plates are also prevalent in public schools. One benefit about disposable polystyrene
trays is that they are sanitary. With disposable trays, workers don't have to worry about constant
cleaning. P. Evans believes the reason most schools invest in Styrofoam plates because they are
economically feasible. (pg. 152). However, Styrofoam plates contain cancer–causing elements that
are harmful to the environment. One solution to this problem would be to use disposable trays that
are better for the environment. Another issue as far as Styrofoam plates are the number of them in
landfills. (pg. 153). This is another reason schools should invest in using recyclable

The purpose of the fluid flow meters experiment was to determine the operating characteristics of
the Venturi and orifice meters. The purpose of the tray hydraulics experiment was to study the vapor
and liquid tray hydraulics parameters for sieve, or perforated, trays in a distillation column. By
performing experiments based on theory and comparing results to literature values, the objectives of
this experiment can be achieved. Both the orifice and the Venturi meters produce a restriction in the
flow and measure the pressure drop across the meter. The velocity of a fluid is expected to increase
as the fluid flows from an open area, to a more constricted area. Assuming incompressible flow, a
negligible height change, and steady state, Bernoulli's equation can be simplified to show the
correlation between the volumetric flow rate and the pressure drop. The equation for both meters is
as follows: w=Qρ=CYA22gc(p1–p2)ρ1–β4 (1) 1 where A2 is the cross–sectional area of the throat,
C is the coefficient of discharge (dimensionless), gc is the dimensional constant, Q is the volumetric
rate of discharge measured at upstream pressure and temperature, w is the weight rate of discharge,
p1 and p2 are the pressures at upstream and downstream static pressure taps, respectively, Y is a

Effect Of Tray Temperature On Squirrels
The question we want to ask is if tray temperature and/or food source have an effect on the foraging
of squirrels. Also, if one of the effects has a greater impact on the GUD of squirrels than the other.
Our hypothesis is that squirrels will be attracted to the cool trays because it would be more
comfortable to the squirrels due to the high heat in the summer. Our other hypothesis is that the
squirrels will forage more peanuts than sunflower seeds because peanuts have more nutrition per nut
opened versus a sunflower seed. The set up for this experiment is that we set up 4 trays at a local
park at Jackson's hometown. Jackson picked this small tree line in the park where he believed to be
squirrels present. The 2 "Cold Trays" have an extra tray

Literature Review On Sand Therapy
Literature Review This literature review links related research regarding the following areas: 1)
academics and play; 2) play therapy, and 3) sand therapy. A review of the literature shows the
effectiveness of play therapy and the effects on academics, but little research has been done on sand
tray therapy and its effectiveness. Academics Importance of Play. A popular early childhood
development theme is, "Learn to Play, Play to Learn". In essence, children can learn through their
play. Gary Landreth, a leading developer of play therapy, states that "Because children's language
development lags behind their cognitive development, they communicate their awareness of what is
happening in their world through play" (1993, p.17). The idea is that a child will learn many
different things through their play and since play is a diverse language that can be spoken by anyone
it opens up their ability to learn. Since the development of counseling children began, improving
academics has be emphasized. Early studies suggested that providing play therapy would increase a
child's IQ and improve their ability to learn in a classroom (Blanco & Ray, 2011). "Since the
passage of No Child Left Behind legislation, all U.S. schoolchildren are expected to meet certain
academic standards within their respective grade levels and, as a result, school children are asked to
work harder at younger ages" (Blanco et al. 2015). The importance of identifying empirically based
interventions

Is University Doing Enough? Essay
In recent years, Harvard, and other colleges, has improved its dining halls to become more
sustainable and green. This change is in part due to the ever–growing attention on sustainability;
there is a growing population of students who want to understand from where their food came, the
impact of the university on the environment, and ways to reduce waste. Because of this popular
topic, universities around the United States have turned to sustainable practices within their dining
halls. Some efforts include recycling programs, food composts, tray–less dining, locally–sourced
food, and much more. As a participating institution, Harvard has implemented some of these efforts.
But, as a leader of colleges, is Harvard doing enough? Could there be obvious, easy efforts that
Harvard is missing out on? Looking at other prestigious colleges with higher sustainability rankings,
two main efforts seem to be missing from Harvard's repertoire of efforts: student knowledge through
multiple campaigns and tray–less dining. Using a survey of Harvard students that eat at Annenberg,
a freshman dining hall on campus, students seem to understand that something is missing. With all
the efforts that Harvard has done to create a sustainable, green dining hall experience, the student–
viewed reality sees a lack of these efforts; therefore, Harvard can take multiple measures, including
campaigns to make students more knowledgeable about Harvard University Dining Services's
efforts and efforts like

The TV Dinner
The TV dinner....taking the family away from the table!
The TV Dinner concept took hold in 1954 when Swanson's frozen meals appeared...they were a
welcome lifesaver for busy mothers and a delight for the entire family. The dinner was a
prepackaged frozen meal in an aluminum tray, packed inside a cardboard box, that could be heated
in the oven, and all ready to eat in just 25 minutes. Best news yet? The meal could be eaten out of
the same tray it was heated in! Yes, eaten WITHOUT a plate,
We won't kid you...there were quite a few people and companies instrumental in the concept of a
complete meal that need only to be heated before eating. While the frozen dinner's lineage can be

The Company marketed the dinner like crazy using the relatively new cultural phenomenon of
television! The retail price of each dinner (marketed as a TV Dinner) was roughly about $1 each.
The company sold 10 million TV dinners in 1954, the first year of production.
Thomas was given a $100 raise and a bonus of $1,000 for his invention, and asked Swanson to
renegotiate his contract for a penny a dinner as long as he lived. A decision he later regretted. The
American Frozen Food Institute honored him in their "Frozen Food Hall of Fame" as the inventor of
the TV dinner and he secured a place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where his handprints were
featured alongside a tray print.. His role as the inventor is disputed.

Order size Labor Time Cost Cost per Dozen
1 dozen 12 Rs. 4.00 Rs. 4.00
2 dozen 17 Rs. 5.66 Rs. 2.83 Thus, cost per dozen of labor is decreasing. This can be applied to

customers giving orders of more than one dozen because of the economies of scale as shown above.
Material Requirements:
The processor is required for mixing the ingredients for the cookies and is idle for most of the time.
The oven required for the purpose of baking is the major bottleneck and there is no requirement for
more than one processor. Hence, spending money on more than one processor would not be
advisable for Kristen 's Cookie Company.
The baking trays are required for three activities, namely, filling it and keeping it ready for baking,
baking it in the oven, and cooling it after baking is done. Since the baking and cooling processes
will be going on for at most one tray at a given time and the mixing process gets material ready for
at most three trays of one dozen each, five trays would be sufficient, though, even three trays would
serve the purpose if mixing and filling activities are done properly. Hence, it is advisable for Kristen
's Cookie Company to go for at least three baking trays to maximize its productivity.

Introduction Irisses work well in beds, borders and foundation plantings.

With its six–petaled flowers that range in color from yellow, white and pink to blue, red and purple,
iris (Iris spp.) can be an attractive addition in the garden. Iris consists of more than 200 species,
many of which are hardy to U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zone 3. Siberian iris
(Iris sibirica) and crested iris (Iris cristata), for instance, can thrive in USDA plant hardiness zones 3
through 9. (See References 1) Although commonly grown true to type by division, irises can also
grow from seed, although they don't grow true to the parent plant. (See References 2)
Step 1
Harvest the seedpods from an iris plant after it's done blooming in the fall. If pollinated, find the
pods on the plant below faded flowers. Remove them from the plant when they are partially green
and start to split open. Shell the pods to reveal about 60 seeds per pod. (See References 3)
Step 2
Fill a small bowl with enough water to submerse the seeds. Place the seeds in the bowl and allow
them to soak. Every day, drain the liquid, pouring it in a strainer so you catch the seeds. Refill the
bowl with fresh water and place the seeds back in it. Do this for up to two weeks to eliminate the
germination inhibiting properties of the seeds. (See References 4)

like a Memphis heaven everybody was on one accord ", if the gangs could be on the same page for
Black Lives Matter (Jones and Fretland, 2016) . Why can't it happen for the youth? Ar'tavius Brown
was 18 years old and joined a gang called the Pirus the Blood Alliance. Brown joined gang activity
in South Memphis because he saw "people with the cars, with the money"(Goggans, 2014). Brown
was put with the ramifications of having a gun shoot out at Central High school, but the judge saw
something within Brown and gave him a second chance.
Why are these stories relevant? These stories are relevant to the gang problem because if a gang
member, Frank Gottie, sees that the gang problem in Memphis has to stop then it should be
addressed. The community should want a change so the generation in Memphis doesn't fall into the
typical stereotypes, they should want more for the future youth to come. Everyone(the youth) won't
have that second chance like the Memphian Ar'tavius Brown, all the youth won't have that judge that
will see the better side of the situation. The community needs to get more involved with the youth,
their kids, and family; so the gang problem won't become worse than it is becoming.

  • 1. Invisalign Research Paper Goal: Help reader decide if Invisalign is right for them Total Words in this Document: Title: Is Invisalign Right for You? Straight teeth are associated with everything from a better social life, better employment opportunities, and a higher self–esteem. Even so, there is typically hesitation from most adults who do not want the time and financial expense necessary to invest in braces, especially when their first thought turns to traditional metal braces. New technology, though, like Invisalign, has helped to make straight teeth a possibility for individuals who want discreet and effective treatment options. What We Love about Invisalign Invisalign is made up of a series of clear trays that are fit to each patient's teeth, and are designed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Challenges of Invisalign For the treatment to be successful, patients need to commit to wearing the aligning trays for the pre– set number of hours each day. Without wearing the trays, patients won't have see the anticipated in the expected time period. The trays need to be removed for eating, drinking, and some sports, while traditional braces are affixed to the teeth and not removed until the end of treatment. Every two weeks, patients will have a new series of trays. Visits to the provider won't happen that frequently, but they will need to be regularly checked to make sure the teeth are moving into the proper places. There are a few cases in which Invisalign is not the best method to treat or correct a dental condition. Often, Invisalign has a higher cost involved than traditional braces, however, there can be, and are, many exceptions. Invisalign is regularly updating and improving the technology, and dentists and orthodontists who are not regularly staying informed on the improvements may have a more challenging time achieving the desired results. How long (the throughput time) will it take to fill a rush order of 1–dozen cookie? Assume no other cookies are currently in process. Use a Gantt chart to help with the analysis and attach the screen shot of the Gantt chart. 6+2+1+9+5+2+1=26 mins 3.What is the cycle time? How many orders can you fill in a night (4–hour period)? Does your answer depend on the size of the order, 1–dozen, 2–dozen, or 3–dozen? cycle time=60/6=10mins (Bottleneck is 10mins, 1hour(60mins)/10mins=6. If our cost is depend on the ingredients. Therefore, giving discount or not is depend on how much time we spend on the process. For the 2–dozen, we spend on 8.5 mins per dozen. 3–dozen, we spend 7.3mins per dozen. In this case, the time we spend on each dozen is decreasing in 2–dozen and 3– dozen. The oven only holds one tray each time. From spoon out the cookie onto a tray to pack them in boxes, this process takes 19mins, if we only have one tray, then we waste time on that. Therefore, we need one more tray if we want to bake 2–dozen cookies. However, just in case, I will buy 3 trays for future accidentally damage. 7. How can you tell that the oven. How much in general would you be willing to pay to rent an additional oven (you won't be able to give a number because there is no data on selling price and costs)? • 6. The Murphree 's Efficiency For A Bubble Cap Tray And A... The main purpose of this experiment is to determine the Murphree's efficiency for a bubble cap tray and a sieve tray in a distillation column and how the vapor flow rate affects the Murphree's efficiency. The understanding of efficiencies is essential in the design and assessment of distillation columns, because efficiency determines the degree of separation in mixtures. Distillation columns can be used to separate binary mixtures or mixtures of several components. The mixtures are separated by taking advantage of the different volatilities and boiling points of the individual components. As heat is added to the distillation tower, the more volatile component, and consequently the component with the lower boiling point will be boiled off faster than the less volatile components. The volatile vapor then travels up the tower through the column trays and comes into contact with the less volatile liquid at each tray. Since the vapor that travels up the tower does not only contain one component but a mixture of all the components, the less volatile component will condense back into liquid and create a higher concentrated vapor. The distillate stream is at the top of the tower and contains the desired product of separation. A distillation column is used to separate a binary mixture of ethanol and water. Ethanol is a more volatile component and thus it will boil off faster than water. The distillation column is operated at total reflux, which is an operating condition where ... • 8. Write An Essay On Water Erosion Water Erosion Background Erosion is the wearing away of sand soil or rock by water, or wind. Water erosion is the separation and removal of soil. Water erosion occurs by rain carrying away bits of soil and slowly washing away rock fragments (Society). Rushing streams and rivers wear away their banks, creating larger and larger valleys. Water erosion can occur on streams, river banks, sea shores and seaside cliffs. There are also different types of water erosion like sheet erosion. Sheet erosion is when water washes away soil from the surface. Another type of water erosion is splash erosion. Splash erosion is the movement of soil by a water droplet. Water erosion occurs more frequently in the spring because it rains more, the rain then washes away rock fragments. An example of water erosion is the colorado river. It cut deep into the land and formed the grand canyon. Purpose The purpose of this experiment is to examine the impact of water erosion on soil due to splash erosion. Hypothesis If the height of the water increases then the amount of soil erosion will increase because the speed of the water will create more pressure on the soil causing the soil to move further. Procedure Get a 600mL beaker and measure out 500mL of soil Grab a tray and place the soil on the tray. Flip the beaker upside down on the tray and remove the beaker so that there is a pile of dirt on the tray. Measure the height of the dirt. It should be 2 inches tall. • 10. Carpal Tunnel Experiments For this scientific experiment, the hypothesis was "Does the suspended tray technique decrease pain caused by Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?" According to the results, the hypothesis was accepted. Although most of the test results referred back to the suspended tray, there were a few that led to the regular tray technique. Of the thirty people who were tested, nineteen subjects agreed to the suspended tray as being the most comforting. Six of those thirty test subjects disagreed and believed that the regular tray technique felt more soothing. The data turned out to be this way because when people with Carpal Tunnel Syndrom put the strain on their wrist by using the regular tray technique toppled with weight, it felt uncomfortable. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, is there a bottleneck operation in your production process that you can expand cheaply? What is the effect of adding another oven? How much would you be willing to pay to rent an additional oven? Assuming 1 order, only 1 dozen cookie Second order comes in while person is making first batch Assuming that we add another oven, the cycle time of the ovens would be 5 minutes. The new bottleneck for the entire process would now be that of mixing the ingredients and dishing the cookies onto the tray, a process which takes 8 minutes for 1 batch of cookies. New cycle time = 8 minutes Maximum no of orders we can fill in a night = (No of minutes per night–Duration of First Setup) / Cycle Time + 1 = ((240 – 26) / 8) + 1 = 27.75 orders ~ 27 orders

  • 26. Importance Of School Counseling According to the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), "Today's school counselors are vital members of the education team. They help all students in the areas of academic achievement, personal/social development and career development, ensuring today's students become the productive, well–adjusted adults of tomorrow" (2017). The definition of a school counselor has changed throughout the years. There has been a shift from guidance/vocational counseling to a more well–rounded approach. Moving from guidance to counseling, means different job duties and educational obstacles. Not only do the job responsibilities include career development, social/emotional development, and academic achievement; included in this change is focus on student's mental health. With the advancement of this career to the mental health field, comes with educating stakeholders on the difference. One way to do this is by producing evidence that counseling techniques work in a language that most stakeholders understand: academics. The money a public–school receives correlates largely with achievement. If the students do well academically, the school becomes more attractive. Salaries are better; therefore, more qualified teachers apply and communities become more enticing to tax paying citizens. Just the opposite, schools that perform poorly academically have higher poverty level, lower teacher experience, and less money paid per student by the state in which it resides. All of this ... Water Erosion involves rock and soil being removed by any movements of water. An example would be the Grand Canyon. It began in colorado, but due to colorado river it continue to grow deeper and cut into Arizona. Water erosion occurs into anything involving river banks, streams, seashores, and lastly seaside cliffs. Throughout the year water erosion particularly happens during spring time due to water showers and creates a great amount of water to create water erosion. The occurrence of water erosion is divided into 6 different stages. Sheet erosion is lost of soil between cultivated and uncultivated environments. Cultivate is essential a way to prepare land of water overflowing. Than Rill erosion is surface water that involves to channelside to concentration of water. Comes along Gully erosion which is an amount of soil getting removed by water. Splash erosion will come next which is movement of soil being directly affected by splashing. Bank erosion come next which is essentially wearing away for rivers and valleys. Purpose: The purpose of this experiment is to examine the impacts of water erosion on soil due to splashing. There is never more than one tray in the oven at any given time, nor is there ever any more than one tray cooling. So we could certainly get by with five trays, and maybe four or even three if we adjust the mixing and filling part of the operation. This Canopic Jar was made in Egypt during the dynasty XXVI, 664–525 B.C. It was made from limestone. The jar was masterfully carved from stone and subsequently painted over. It is a historical masterpiece and it is relatively in good condition. Such stone jars were used to house the organs of the deceased. Their organs were put in these canopic jars during the mummification process. The lids of these stone jars have a human face. The faces were carved to represent the four sons of the god Horus. • 46. Distillation And Liquid Separation Distillation is a method of separating mixtures, based on the differences in the conditions required to change the phase of components of the mixture. (Helmenstine, 2017)1. You can use double distillation to purify the product even more. To separate the mixtures of liquid, the liquid can be heated to force components, which have different boiling points, in to the gas phase. The gas is the condensed into liquid form to be collected and removed. Distillation units are one of the most popular ways of separation. The most common distillation technique is the liquid–liquid separation process (Kunesh, Kister, Lockett, Fair, 1995). There are two distillation categories, these are batch distillation and continuous distillation. Batch distillation is when lots of the product is made and then the chemical reaction is over. Whereas continuous distillation is made in a continuous flow of product. Distillation can make un–useful heavy products into useful smaller molecules, for example using these techniques you can produce gasoline, distilled water, xylene, alcohol, paraffin, kerosene and many other useful liquids. Also, gas mixtures can be separated, air can be distilled to get elements of Nitrogen, Oxygen and Argon. After the process is finished a distillate is formed, this is purified version of the original liquid. If there is a chemical reaction, then you can use a catalyst or use phase equilibria to shift the equilibrium to the favourable side. There are also many techniques used ... These pieces were then nail together and a template was used to create the curved lines for the timber tray and it showed how the pacific maple would end up like. The two–piece of woods were then trimmed with a jigsaw and further trimmed with the band saw. The pacific maples were then sanded to remove the marks created from the band saw. After that, two shorter pieces were chosen and the same steps were applied. The two pieces were nailed and using a template the handles of the timber tray were drawn. The drill press was then used to drill holes into the two pieces and then the handles were made from using a jigsaw. The jigsaw sawed off the wood in marked area from the template. The pair of handles were sanded to take of any sharp edges and to make the handle smooth. Both pairs of wood were taken apart so there would be four pieces of wood, two long and two short. Then the finger joint were made using the finger jointing machine (trimmer router) were when cutting the joint for the shorter pieces, the end of the longer piece was put up against the shorter piece and then that was drilled to create the finger joints. Once this process was done, the four pieces were joined up to create the timber frame. This frame was then glued together using PVA glue. A plywood base was then picked and the frame was marked on the plywood using a pencil. The base and the frame were put together with a thin layer of PVA glue and then reinforced with twelve–millimeter nails. The base had four nails along the length and three nails on the width. Nails weren't nailed in the corners because it could nail into the joint, which would separate the joint and create a gap in the joint. Once the glue had dried the timber tray was put on the linisher and the timber tray was sanded to remove bits created by the linisher. After that, linseed oil was applied to the timber tray. Throughout the essay, she responded effectively for unhealthy ways and excessive waste within the environment. These two subjects are some of America's greatest concerns. Huff explains how most of these problems occur most in school cafeterias. As she argued for the two subjects, she came up with viewpoints that explained how cafeterias could put an end to environmental waste and obesity. At the beginning of the essay, Huff stated fried foods are prevalent in almost all public schools. (pg. 150). She feels that feeding adolescents grease saturated foods on non–biodegradable trays is not doing anything, but causing an increase in one of America's concerns, obesity. (pg. 150). It is believed by giving out healthier foods at schools students may become more precautious to what they are digesting. A 2005 article explained how school lunches contained French fries, breaded patties, and canned vegetables. (pg. 151). This may persuade students to purchase unhealthy snacks that the school offers. (pg. 154). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Styrofoam plates are also prevalent in public schools. One benefit about disposable polystyrene trays is that they are sanitary. With disposable trays, workers don't have to worry about constant cleaning. P. Evans believes the reason most schools invest in Styrofoam plates because they are economically feasible. (pg. 152). However, Styrofoam plates contain cancer–causing elements that are harmful to the environment. One solution to this problem would be to use disposable trays that are better for the environment. Another issue as far as Styrofoam plates are the number of them in landfills. (pg. 153). This is another reason schools should invest in using recyclable ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The purpose of the fluid flow meters experiment was to determine the operating characteristics of the Venturi and orifice meters. The purpose of the tray hydraulics experiment was to study the vapor and liquid tray hydraulics parameters for sieve, or perforated, trays in a distillation column. By performing experiments based on theory and comparing results to literature values, the objectives of this experiment can be achieved. Both the orifice and the Venturi meters produce a restriction in the flow and measure the pressure drop across the meter. The velocity of a fluid is expected to increase as the fluid flows from an open area, to a more constricted area. Assuming incompressible flow, a negligible height change, and steady state, Bernoulli's equation can be simplified to show the correlation between the volumetric flow rate and the pressure drop. The equation for both meters is as follows: w=Qρ=CYA22gc(p1–p2)ρ1–β4 (1) 1 where A2 is the cross–sectional area of the throat, C is the coefficient of discharge (dimensionless), gc is the dimensional constant, Q is the volumetric rate of discharge measured at upstream pressure and temperature, w is the weight rate of discharge, p1 and p2 are the pressures at upstream and downstream static pressure taps, respectively, Y is a dimensionless expansion factor, β is the ratio of the throat diameter to pipe ... • 59. Effect Of Tray Temperature On Squirrels The question we want to ask is if tray temperature and/or food source have an effect on the foraging of squirrels. Also, if one of the effects has a greater impact on the GUD of squirrels than the other. Our hypothesis is that squirrels will be attracted to the cool trays because it would be more comfortable to the squirrels due to the high heat in the summer. Our other hypothesis is that the squirrels will forage more peanuts than sunflower seeds because peanuts have more nutrition per nut opened versus a sunflower seed. The set up for this experiment is that we set up 4 trays at a local park at Jackson's hometown. Jackson picked this small tree line in the park where he believed to be squirrels present. • 61. Literature Review On Sand Therapy Literature Review This literature review links related research regarding the following areas: 1) academics and play; 2) play therapy, and 3) sand therapy. A review of the literature shows the effectiveness of play therapy and the effects on academics, but little research has been done on sand tray therapy and its effectiveness. Academics Importance of Play. A popular early childhood development theme is, "Learn to Play, Play to Learn". In essence, children can learn through their play. Gary Landreth, a leading developer of play therapy, states that "Because children's language development lags behind their cognitive development, they communicate their awareness of what is happening in their world through play" (1993, p.17). The idea is that a child will learn many different things through their play and since play is a diverse language that can be spoken by anyone it opens up their ability to learn. Since the development of counseling children began, improving academics has be emphasized. Early studies suggested that providing play therapy would increase a child's IQ and improve their ability to learn in a classroom (Blanco & Ray, 2011). "Since the passage of No Child Left Behind legislation, all U.S. schoolchildren are expected to meet certain academic standards within their respective grade levels and, as a result, school children are asked to work harder at younger ages" (Blanco et al. 2015). The importance of identifying empirically based interventions ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 63. Is University Doing Enough? Essay In recent years, Harvard, and other colleges, has improved its dining halls to become more sustainable and green. This change is in part due to the ever–growing attention on sustainability; there is a growing population of students who want to understand from where their food came, the impact of the university on the environment, and ways to reduce waste. Because of this popular topic, universities around the United States have turned to sustainable practices within their dining halls. Some efforts include recycling programs, food composts, tray–less dining, locally–sourced food, and much more. As a participating institution, Harvard has implemented some of these efforts. But, as a leader of colleges, is Harvard doing enough? Could there be obvious, easy efforts that Harvard is missing out on? Looking at other prestigious colleges with higher sustainability rankings, two main efforts seem to be missing from Harvard's repertoire of efforts: student knowledge through multiple campaigns and tray–less dining. Using a survey of Harvard students that eat at Annenberg, a freshman dining hall on campus, students seem to understand that something is missing. With all the efforts that Harvard has done to create a sustainable, green dining hall experience, the student– viewed reality sees a lack of these efforts; therefore, Harvard can take multiple measures, including campaigns to make students more knowledgeable about Harvard University Dining Services's efforts and efforts like ... The TV Dinner concept took hold in 1954 when Swanson's frozen meals appeared...they were a welcome lifesaver for busy mothers and a delight for the entire family. The meal could be eaten out of the same tray it was heated in! Yes, eaten WITHOUT a plate, We won't kid you...there were quite a few people and companies instrumental in the concept of a complete meal that need only to be heated before eating. Thomas was given a $100 raise and a bonus of $1,000 for his invention, and asked Swanson to renegotiate his contract for a penny a dinner as long as he lived. A decision he later regretted. The American Frozen Food Institute honored him in their "Frozen Food Hall of Fame" as the inventor of the TV dinner and he secured a place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where his handprints were featured alongside a tray print.. This can be applied to orders of more than two dozens as well. Hence, Kristen 's Cookie Company can give discounts to customers giving orders of more than one dozen because of the economies of scale as shown above. Material Requirements: The processor is required for mixing the ingredients for the cookies and is idle for most of the time. The oven required for the purpose of baking is the major bottleneck and there is no requirement for more than one processor. Hence, spending money on more than one processor would not be advisable for Kristen 's Cookie Company. The baking trays are required for three activities, namely, filling it and keeping it ready for baking, baking it in the oven, and cooling it after baking is done. Since the baking and cooling processes will be going on for at most one tray at a given time and the mixing process gets material ready for at most three trays of one dozen each, five trays would be sufficient, though, even three trays would serve the purpose if mixing and filling activities are done properly. Hence, it is advisable for Kristen 's Cookie Company to go for at least three baking trays to maximize its productivity.

Each of these employees taught us about the different operations in DCC. First, Curtis showed us how to run SmartSubs for the evening meal. He explained to us that he addresses the conflicts that arise from fluid–restricted patients. If the order says, "No replacement found," Curtis went back into Computrition to manually put items back in using the "Fluid Restriction Guide." Next, he printed the tally guide report for each line. Each line had 3 reports: hot food, cold food, and loader. Afterwards, we met with Yolanda to observe her printing the first set of tray tickets for the evening meal. She mentioned that whoever works the early morning shift in DCC is responsible for printing out the queue list, updates and late trays using Vista software. Once she printed the tray tickets, she cut each page into 3 and ordered the tickets based on each unit. Yolanda mentioned that each meal has a different color pen specifying the number of diet orders for each unit to avoid any confusion. If there were more than 20 orders for one unit, she would put the excess into the next set because the meal carts only hold a maximum of 20 trays. Ms. Rose told us that she is currently responsible for running the select menus for CLC, SCI, and 6D. DCC explained that diet changes are typically ordered by doctors and dietitians through CPRS ... Comstock/Stockbyte/Getty Images With its six–petaled flowers that range in color from yellow, white and pink to blue, red and purple, iris (Iris spp.) can be an attractive addition in the garden. Iris consists of more than 200 species, many of which are hardy to U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zone 3. Siberian iris (Iris sibirica) and crested iris (Iris cristata), for instance, can thrive in USDA plant hardiness zones 3 through 9. (See References 1) Although commonly grown true to type by division, irises can also grow from seed, although they don't grow true to the parent plant. (See References 2) Step 1 Harvest the seedpods from an iris plant after it's done blooming in the fall. If pollinated, find the pods on the plant below faded flowers. Remove them from the plant when they are partially green and start to split open. Shell the pods to reveal about 60 seeds per pod. (See References 3) Step 2 Fill a small bowl with enough water to submerse the seeds. Place the seeds in the bowl and allow them to soak. Every day, drain the liquid, pouring it in a strainer so you catch the seeds. Refill the bowl with fresh water and place the seeds back in it. Do this for up to two weeks to eliminate the germination inhibiting properties of the seeds. (See References 4) Step 3 Mix 1 part bleach with 10 parts water in a bowl. Gottie believes that gangs are becoming to spin out of control, that it needs to be a solution to gang activity. On July 10, 2016 Gottie says "I ain't never seen heaven before, but it was like a Memphis heaven everybody was on one accord ", if the gangs could be on the same page for Black Lives Matter (Jones and Fretland, 2016) . Why can't it happen for the youth? Ar'tavius Brown was 18 years old and joined a gang called the Pirus the Blood Alliance. Brown joined gang activity in South Memphis because he saw "people with the cars, with the money"(Goggans, 2014). Brown was put with the ramifications of having a gun shoot out at Central High school, but the judge saw something within Brown and gave him a second chance. Why are these stories relevant? These stories are relevant to the gang problem because if a gang member, Frank Gottie, sees that the gang problem in Memphis has to stop then it should be addressed. The community should want a change so the generation in Memphis doesn't fall into the typical stereotypes, they should want more for the future youth to come. Everyone(the youth) won't have that second chance like the Memphian Ar'tavius Brown, all the youth won't have that judge that will see the better side of the situation. The community needs to get more involved with the youth, their kids, and family; so the gang problem won't become worse than it is becoming. ...
