2. From the magazines I have looked at, I would think that the people reading
these magazines would be middle aged or older. It would be most likely that
the people reading these magazines would be women as most of the content
is targeted at women. I would like my magazine to an audience such as these
magazines. My main image will play a big part on my audience. as I am
targeting my magazine at middle aged women, my photo will be based of
things that my target audience would prefer.
Other things that will also play a big part on my target audience will
be the colour scheme I use. If I use brighter colours its likely to convey a
happier and chill emotion to my audience. However if I place darker colours
behind brighter, it would make the brighter colours stand out more.
The magazine Cornwall today has a very female dominated audience.
80% of the audience are females. They have up to nearly 8,000 followers on
Twitter and 2,000 followers o Facebook.

3. Analysis
Other factors are also just as important, for example in other magazines I have
viewed the text is aligned horizontally, which follows the hegemonic norm. this
allows the audience to easily access the information they want. Another important
thing is the way the text is spaced. In the magazines I have seen, there are smaller
gaps between sentences. This allows more text to be allocated in that area. This
suggests that the audience like to read detailed paragraphs.
4. My Audience
From the things I have talked about and researched, I will targeting my
audience at women that are middle aged. One of the main reasons I target my
audience at this age is due to fact that this is the age that most women like
reading. I am also targeting my magazine at men as well but it is not likely that
many men will read my magazine as it is mainly targeted at women. It would be
difficult to target my magazine at both genders as I would have to experiment
with colours to see what would make the magazine apply to men and women
