2. HOW I AT T RACT ED T HE AUD IENCE
For our coming of age film ‘Leaving Home’ I
attracted the audience by using teenager actors.
Because our demographic area for our film is 16-
21 year olds, I knew that by using actors around the
same age the audience will be able to communicate
to the character.
3. H O W I A T T R A C T E D T H E A U D I E N C E .
Because our main
character is a teenage
male our audience will
want to watch it as it
adheres to what teenagers
look in a film, especially
females.
Also, by using teenage
actors I formed a
general illustration of
teenagers.
4. HOW I AD D RESSED T HE AUD IENCE.
I addressed our audience by representing
teenagers as expressive and want to hang on to old
memories.
I used the photo montage sequence to signify
this. Because this moment is showing all the
childhood memories it shows teenagers to be
emotional and therefore expressive.
5. HOW I AD D RESSED T HE AUD IENCE.
Because I represented them in that way it would
reflex what they are going through in at this stage
of life.
Therefore addressing their emotional side and
allow them to express it through the film as they
can use ‘Leaving Home’ as escapism.
