2. The use of the stern
body language (hands
in pockets etc)
connotes strength
which is conventional.
Location-church wall.
Location-White mobile with gates.
The use of a plain (ish) background helps the reader
interact properly with the people in the images as the
wont get distracted. So for my real images I will make
sure there isn’t as much floor as it is a distraction and
isn’t very conventional anyway.
3. The reason that I chose
to take my test shots in
these ‘abandoned’ and
creepy places, is because
they fit in with
.the genre of music, this is because the genre of music is
shown to be different and not mainstream like pop music,
and the locations show this as a pop magazine wouldn’t be
taken in these places.
4. The use of a low angle in the top picture and the
bottom left shows that they are powerful. Also
the use of the ‘rock and roll’ hand gesture fits in
with the genre of music.
In all of the test shots the facial expressions are
stern and serious, this is conventional for the
genre of music because it is not stereotypical to
show happiness.
Having the ‘band members’ standing closer to
each other shows that they are in the band
together no awkwardly stuck in a photo.
