2. The Extended Play Album
boygenius: Self-Titled:
This is an EP album because it only contains 6 tracks, it is longer than a single but shorter
than album and showcases the artists’ sounds.

3. The Long Play Album
Led Zeppelin I:
This is an LP album because they tend to be longer than an album, which this one is 16 songs. It is also a
multi-vinyl release and includes multiple vinyls.

4. A Research Question
Q: Do you offer consignment to indie
artists?
A: “Yes we do. Local artists and
bands will come in with what they
want to sell and we will mark it up
usually by $2.99 depending on how
much the artist wants to sell for.”
-Shop Manager, did not share a name.
5. Events
There are some shows coming up where bands will perform at
the record store. A band from Chicago is playing on July 7 at
the store. Other than that, they are involved in outside festivals
happening on nearby streets. Lilliput will be at Brady Street
Festival on July 29th and celebrating their one year of opening
in August.
6. Exclusives
They had a whole section of releases from Record Store Day on the wall. This included albums such as Letting Go by Earshot,
Steve McQueen Acoustic, and a few live albums, etc. The RSD stickers are located by the barcode on each album.
7. SWAG
They had SWAG all over the store and offered a lot of items. The shop manager informed me that they were currently sold out of
many items.
8. Promos
They did not have many promo pieces for artists around but they had some promos for DVDs and some other local shows
coming up.
9. Reflection
I would definitely use this shop for an artist’s
album release because this is a heavily liked
local shop in Milwaukee and they allow dogs, are
involved in the community, and had very helpful
staff. All of this makes it a place that I would like
to have an artist involved with. I would do an in-
store event because Lilliput puts on shows in-
store all the time so they have experience with
the technology, staffing, promotion, etc. It would
be cool to have the community involved with a
local album release and to put on a show for
local support. I think eventually this would lead
to consignment, flyers, etc., however, I would
start out promotion with an in-store event or
performance.
