• Lizzo’s most recent LP consists of 12 tracks. This album
intertwines the same type of music as her last album but allows
the listener’s mind to wonder about her lyrical use.

• Seeing as though a lot of his store consists of actual vinyls it
was hard to find actual EPs the closest thing he had available
was Panic at The Discos Pray for the Wicked album. He
mentioned it was their shortest album only consisting of 10
songs. Seeing as though LPs typically have more that 10 I
picked this album for that reason only.

6. RESEARCH QUESTION
• Do you offer consignment to indie artists?
• Mr. Sean in so many words said he would offer more indie
artists consignment if more artists were still making CDs or
records. Seeing as though his store only sells records or CDs
more artists are going digital over traditional means of spreading
the word about their music.

7. Events
This is a listening party for a group
of bands in the Baton Rouge Area.
This hung right next to the
checkout counter. Which means it
got a lot of attention from passerby
as well as buyers from the store.

8. Exclusives/Promo
This is an exclusive Beatles
album. The owner, Mr.Sean, said
it couldn’t be found in many
places. He ordered it simply for
the fact that it’s rare and assured
me I couldn’t find it anywhere else
in the city.

9. Swag
• These are stickers the record shop
sales normally use for cars or
laptops. They are something he
says he has to replenish many
times a day because people enjoy
hoe cool and goofy they are.

10. Reflection
• I feel as though Capital City Records is the perfect place to
promote a local indie band. Seeing as though for a mom-and-
pop shop it gets a lot of foot traffic. People who enjoy all forms
of music from all different walks of life. I feel like any Indie band
or artist would profit from a place like this. I would hold a
listening party for their latest project and play some of their older
works as well.
