2. Extended Play Album
• This is considered an extended play album due to its
length being only 6 songs. The band also advertised this as
an EP and not a full-length album.
3. Long Play Album
• This is Wallows first long play album. This is an album
due to the length and it even got it’s own tour. The band
considers this their first full length album they’ve put out
and their debut.
4. Do they offer
consignment
to indie
artists?
• From my research it does not look like they
do offer consignment to indie artists and my
guess is that this is primarily due to just the
size of their store!
5. Events
• Recently they participated in the Long Beach
Record Swap Meet! This swap meet
happened last December from 1 pm – 7 pm.
There was a DJ, bar, and tacos!
• They held a record store day event with no
cover charge and a DJ!
6. Exclusives
• After looking on their website I was not able
to find any exclusive records or what they
may have sold during record store day. They
did however hold an event for record store
day so it is quite evident that they
participated!
7. SWAG
• One example of SWAG I know this shop has
stickers! When you go up to the register you
can grab a sticker or two that show that you
shop at this location!
8. Promos
• It does not seem that they actively
have been promoting any new
albums, they tend to stay releasing
classic rock new and used records.
They do promote these often by
showing their new selections of
records on their Instagram!
9. Reflection
• Dex records in Long Beach California is a
cute little record shop. When I say little, this
place is quite tiny. They sell many vintage
records, and even some newer music! They
participate in some local events around the
area such as swap meets, and try to make
themselves known in their area. As for
record store day, not only do they
participate, they held and event with a DJ!
