properly and occupy the vacant seats here in

Before we’ll start our main activities this morning,

Those pictures class that I showed you are part of
our discussion this morning.
Be with me for we are going to tackle,
REALITY VERSUS FANTASY
Please read the subject matter altogether.
Be attentive for at the end of the lesson, you are
expected to do the following tasks:

Now, let’s start our discussion.
I have here a video. I want all of you to watch
attentively for this is part of our discussion. While
watching, answer the following questions:
1) Who are the characters in the story?
2) Who made the Gingerbread man?
3) What happened to the Gingerbread man?

Some possess powers, magic.
They are all unique.

That’s good to hear!
Now, let’s deepen our understanding of
the video.
What is the video all about?
Very good! Okay now, we are going to answer the
questions I gave you to answer.
1) Who are the characters in the story?
Very good!
2) Who made the Gingerbread man?
Right! The woman decided to bake bread for her
husband. What comes to her mind upon preparing
the dinner?
2) What happened to the Gingerbread man?
Exactly! The gingerbread man comes to life and
escape.
What happen next?
Did the gingerbread man manage to escape?
The story has a sad ending right?
Now class, is the video portraying real-life scenario? Is
it realistic?
That’s right. The video is unrealistic. The video class is
an example of what we call FANTASY.
Let’s define FANTASY.
Everybody read the definition.
FANTASY- tells about things that could not happen in

It’s about bread that comes to life. A
woman baked it then it suddenly
screamed and ask for help.
The old man, the woman, the man,
the fox, the cow, the pigs, the hen,
etc.
The woman.
That she will make a gingerbread
man.
The gingerbread man comes to life
and escape.
As the gingerbread man escapes, he
meets different animals that wanted
to eat him.
Yes, but at the end he was deceived
by a fox and was eaten.
Yes ma’am.
No ma’am.

REALITY- tells about things that could happen in real
life.

1) Rizal fought for our freedom.
2) Cats eat fish.
3) All mother give love and care to their children.
Reality class is the opposite of fantasy. Fantasy
is only a product of man’s imagination while
reality is what the truth is.

To evaluate if you understand our discussion, let’s
have an activity.
I have here the definition of fantasy and reality. These
definitions are incomplete so you need to complete it
using the appropriate word provided in the box.
After answering it, paste it on the board and discuss
you answer.

All you need to do is to put each sentence to its

proper column. Identify if it is reality or fantasy.

two (2) reporters from your group to report your
answers.

2) Ballpen is for writing.
3) Farmers plant rice and corn.
4) Superman flies above the skies.
5) Rat eats dog.

Procedure : Developmental Method Teacher’s Activity Students’ Activity A. Preparation Classroom Management Good morning class. How are you today? That’s good to hear. Before we proceed to or activities this morning, everybody stand up for our prayer. Before you take your seat, arrange the chairs properly and occupy the vacant seats here in front. Are you all ready for our new discussion this today? Good to hear that! Drill Before we’ll start our main activities this morning, let’s have an action song. Let’s sing and perform, WITH CHRIST IN MY VESSEL Motivation [POST SOME PICTURES] Column A – genie, a fairy god mother, a dwarf Column B- God, man and woman What have you seen in the pictures in column A? Good morning ma’am. We’re good ma’am. (students do as told) (students do as told) Yes ma’am! (students do as told) genie, a fairy god mother, a dwarf
  • 2. Exactly! A genie, a fairy god mother, a dwarf. What about in the pictures in column B? That’s right! God, man and woman. What can you say about these pictures? Very good! What else? That’s right. B. Presentation Statement of the Aim Those pictures class that I showed you are part of our discussion this morning. Be with me for we are going to tackle, REALITY VERSUS FANTASY Please read the subject matter altogether. Be attentive for at the end of the lesson, you are expected to do the following tasks: Everybody read the objectives. C. Developmental Proper Generalization Now, let’s start our discussion. I have here a video. I want all of you to watch attentively for this is part of our discussion. While watching, answer the following questions: 1) Who are the characters in the story? 2) Who made the Gingerbread man? 3) What happened to the Gingerbread man? [video played- The Gingerbread Man] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - God, man and woman Some possess powers, magic. They are all unique. (students read the subject matter) a. identify if the given statement is realistic or fantastical; b. differentiate reality from fantasy; c. share to the class the lesson they acquire in the video “The Gingerbread Man”.
  • 3. Do you like the video class? That’s good to hear! Now, let’s deepen our understanding of the video. What is the video all about? Very good! Okay now, we are going to answer the questions I gave you to answer. 1) Who are the characters in the story? Very good! 2) Who made the Gingerbread man? Right! The woman decided to bake bread for her husband. What comes to her mind upon preparing the dinner? 2) What happened to the Gingerbread man? Exactly! The gingerbread man comes to life and escape. What happen next? Did the gingerbread man manage to escape? The story has a sad ending right? Now class, is the video portraying real-life scenario? Is it realistic? That’s right. The video is unrealistic. The video class is an example of what we call FANTASY. Let’s define FANTASY. Everybody read the definition. FANTASY- tells about things that could not happen in Yes ma’am. It’s about bread that comes to life. A woman baked it then it suddenly screamed and ask for help. The old man, the woman, the man, the fox, the cow, the pigs, the hen, etc. The woman. That she will make a gingerbread man. The gingerbread man comes to life and escape. As the gingerbread man escapes, he meets different animals that wanted to eat him. Yes, but at the end he was deceived by a fox and was eaten. Yes ma’am. No ma’am.
  • 4. real life. (further explanation) Examples: 1) Dwarves eat children. 2) The dog talks to the cat about the rat. Let’s proceed to REALITY. Please read altogether. REALITY- tells about things that could happen in real life. (further explanation) Examples: 1) Rizal fought for our freedom. 2) Cats eat fish. 3) All mother give love and care to their children. Reality class is the opposite of fantasy. Fantasy is only a product of man’s imagination while reality is what the truth is. Explanation GROUP ACTIVITY To evaluate if you understand our discussion, let’s have an activity. I have here the definition of fantasy and reality. These definitions are incomplete so you need to complete it using the appropriate word provided in the box. After answering it, paste it on the board and discuss you answer. Count off 1-5. [DISCUSSION BY GROUP] Examples Stay with your group because we will have another activity. I have here statements written in the manila paper. All you need to do is to put each sentence to its (students read the definition) (students do as told)
  • 5. proper column. Identify if it is reality or fantasy. Is everything clear? After answering it, paste it on the board and select two (2) reporters from your group to report your answers. 1) The sheep wore shoes. 2) Ballpen is for writing. 3) Farmers plant rice and corn. 4) Superman flies above the skies. 5) Rat eats dog. Values Integration What lesson have you acquired from that video we have discussed a while ago? Very well said! What else? Very good! The video taughtus that we should not be easily deceived and to think wisely. Activity/ Application Directions: Using the table below, differentiate REALITY and FANTASY. Write anything that you think differentiate the two. You can use words, phrases or sentences. Example: FANTASY REALITY  Real  productof man’s imagination Yes ma’am. 1) FANTASY 2) REALITY 3) REALITY 4) FANTASY 5) FANTASY That we should claim things that are not ours. To also not be easily deceived by deceivers. To always be wise and to think properly. IV. Evaluation Directions: Identify if the given statement is REALITY or FANTASY. Write R if it is reality andF if it is fantasy. ½ crosswise. __1) The butterfly flew from flowers to flowers. __2) Raulmet a monsterat the woods.
