2. Process
⢠First, I opened Photoshop on the mac. I can
also find Photoshop on Pcâs located around
college. However not all the computers
around college have Photoshop installed as it
is expensive. I then logged on to the college
network, this then let me browse the web. I
then searched google images for âPastel pink
hoodiesâ and found this one. I then copied it
and pasted it onto the Photoshop document, I
did this as a new layer so I( could move it
around freely as I wished. You can not move
around images on a background layer, as this
layer is fixed. After I did this, I added logos to
the jumper. I made the logo myself and chose
the font I thought looked best on the jumper. I
found the font on the mac within Photoshop,
when I pressed on fonts I found the one I liked
and decided I would use it throughout my
product.
3. Process I opened Photoshop, then I took the picture that was taken
within the photoshoot and I edited out the background using the
magic wand tool within photo shop. I also used the eraser when I
felt like I could. After this, I made sure the picture was towards
the bottom and in the centre of the page I was working on. After
I did this, I wrote my name at the top of the poster, to show
whoâs tour it was. I then wrote the tours name along the bottom,
in the same cursive font because I wanted it all to look
wholesome and like a brand. After I made both of the titles at
the top and the bottom and made them central, I thought I
should put some dates on the poster. So I put 6 on as I didn't
want the tour to be very big. This was also in the same font but
smaller lettering as the titles that I earlier placed on the page.
After the dates were spread out evenly throughout the page,
three on each side, I thought I would add some more colour
within my poster. I did this by turning my text into pictures. I then
made sure I used pink and purple as they were bright and my
target audience want bright colours. I made the top line of my
dates purple, and then the arenas pink. After this, I made the
âCouldâveâ purple, and the âBeenâ pink. I then made sure that the
phrase had a black border to make it easier to read. Then, I made
my name stand out by making it look 3D. I did this by copying it 2
time and changing the colours to white, pink and purple. I then
arranged them so they look 3D.
4. Process
I started this single art by opening Photoshop on a new page.
Then I coloured the page a beige colour as I wanted it to be
different, and not just white. This would entice the audience as
it is unique and different from the usual black or white colours
in the background. After this I took a picture from the photo-
shoot I did with a classmate. I then edited out the background
with the magic wand tool and then to clean it up used the
eraser. I then copied the layer twice and made the pictures into
block colour of red and blue. After this I turned down the
capacity so you could see through both of the âfiltersâ that I
made. This then created an effect I wasnât expecting, but loved
straight away. The colours mixed together where they
overlapped and turned the overlapping area purple. This then
created a 3D effect on my single art, incorporating the bright
colours and simplicity within the art. This is what the target
audience wanted as shown in the survey. After doing this, I
used the font that I have been using all the way through my
products (Myriad Pro Regular) to write along the bottom the
name of my artist, and the title of the song. I left this black as it
stood out against the background that it was on. The last thing I
did was take the logo from capitol records and use it, I changed
it a bit so it didnât look too much like it normally would, and to
make it neater I use the eraser and zoomed right in to make
sure all the white was gone and that the only things touching
the background were the picture, the writing and the logo, to
give it a nice clean, professional finish.
5. Process
I started this track list by opening Photoshop, I made a new document
and decided I wanted to use the logo Iâd somewhat created on my
merchandise, which was a rose. I wanted to put it onto something
different to make it feel a little more professional and in a way, brand
my artist. I decided to change up my rose and make it less block
colours, I found a picture of some red sparkles online and decided I
wanted this on my rose instead of a direct colour. I made sure the
picture was behind the roses that I used and the got rid of the colour in
front of them, leaving them red and sparkly, giving the rose more
texture and making it more interesting and fun to look at. I then made
the two roses into separate layers so then I could move them freely,
and merged the layers of the roses and the colour underneath so that
when I moved the roses the colour would come with them. I placed
them in opposite corners of the page to try make it look simple but
interesting. Then, after I added the roses I decided to make the
background grey, as it is different from anything else I have done within
this project and would stand out as it would be bringing attention to
the track list individually. I understood I would be taking a risk as it is a
possibility that people would maybe think this would be isolating this
product from the other things I have done, but I think that as it is
different people may be draw to it and its different characteristics.
After I made sure the grey complimented the red of the roses, I chose
my songs that I would prefer to be on the track list and then I named
the album the name of the artist as many artists to this with their
debut album. I then took the colour from the roses and the font that I
used all the way through my products which was Myriad Pro Regular,
and then typed all of it up and put it central and made it look good. I
was happy with what I created.
6. Process
I started this tour poster by opening Photoshop. Then, I used
a picture that my friend took of me within a photo session in
one of the studios in college. I made sure to edit out the
background with the magic wand tool and the eraser when
needed if the magic wand tool didnât work. I then placed it at
the bottom of the page, as I knew how I wanted my poster to
look already. I then put in a pink background, as pastel pink
has become a brand for my artist as you would look at the
colour and it would be associated with the artist and the
music that the artist produces. I then went on to Google and
found different tour posters that I hadnât seen before. I found
one and decided to use the dates from it, so I copied the
photo and cropped it so it was just the dates that could be
seen, making sure to show the website. I then slotted it in
the top, leaving enough room for a title. I the put what the
tour would be called at the top, this was , âCouldâve Been
Tourâ. I found a font that I had not used within my product
but was still similar and recognisable. I then decided to finally
put the name of the artist on the poster for the tour. I wrote
Chelsea in the same font as the one used for the title and
then realised I didnât have any room for a black font to go
anywhere on my poster. I then changed the colour to black
and tried to put it in several different places before I settled
on the last place which was on my picture. I chose to put it
across my chest as it was central. The white on the poster
would draw attention to it, as it made the poster âpopâ and
makes it nicer to look at.
