with SFX alarm. You can see Sam getting out of bed in the
background.Allows audience a clear idea of the day.
2 1 Bedroom/

Camera placed insidethe bedroom facingout as a longshot into the
hallway showingSamleavingher room. Shows that she doesn’t
want to leave and the difficulty to leave her bed.
3 1 Bathroom Shot focus is on the mirror and shows Sam lookingup into the
mirror dryingher face. This is the shot that reveals the character’s
face. Represents hidingher mental health issues.
4 1 Bathroom This shot shows Sam brushingher teeth and spitting. It is a normal
day.
Sam’s mental healthand sexualityis highlightedonthe script here to make sure the actor know it is anintegralpart of the
character. The calm/ normal/ everydaymusic will relate to what people see on the outside andopposesthe inside. Her costume
of each dayreflects her progressing downandthenback up(mentally).

going down the stairs. The anxiety makes her go downhill.

contain the opening credits until they are all shown.
11 3 Study High angleshot of Sam working in the Study. This is to showhow
distantshe feels from reality. The phone screen must be clearly

15 3 Classroom
3
Camera is placed shootingfromthe front of the classroom,Sam is
on the second row surrounded. This again shows Monday as a
normal day on the outside.
Sam doing her workquicklyandgettinglots done, shows that she is a hardworker and wants to dowell despite her depression
and also it is causedbyher anxiety. The time onher phone tellsthe audience (especiallystudents) that she is incrediblyearlyfor
school, whichagainshow her anxiety. The other students wearing brighter colours andpatterns to emphasise the different in
Sam’s mental health. The sarcasm in Student 1’s line reflects real life situations and personalities ofstudents. ‘So Hot’ this is a
line allows the audience to put together that Sam doesn’t understand what theymeanbyhot. The SFXof a school bell helps set
the scene.
16 4 Front door Camera positioned outsidethe house until the door opens and then
it cuts to inside.

and waits. This shows the repetitive routine she is stuck in.

21 5 Study The camera is placed acrosstheroom/ from behind, this gives the impression
of someone watching her. This is something she constantly thinks and
worries about.

her worries about other people judgingher.

another wall to show Sam goinginto her room and shutting the door.
Her costume is getting darker anddarker as the days progress. The murmuring could be drownedslightlybythe music inorder
to make the scene seem more like a montage scene than a fullyscripted one.

Sam takesa deepbreathwheninthe bathroom and doesn’t stopwhengoinginto school shows that she is starting to improve
her mindset and her mental health hasstartedto improve. Her clothes, havingsmall amounts of white, reflect thistoo. I
wantedto show the next day, withslight improvement as oppose to a dayyears after whenshe is almost fullyok to make sure
the audience see it as realistic andsothat students suffering the same waydon’t watchthe film and thenthink that it is a neasy
fix.
