1. The first 3 shots will be a montage of establishing shots to set the scene, no
characters are involved yet
2. Penelope and her friend walking from behind (long shot)
3. The same shot but closer up (medium shot)
4. The two girls walking again however from in front, revealing the character’s
faces (medium shot, point of view)
5. Camera coming to a stop (medium shot) girls hug and depart from each other
6. Penelope walking onwards (longshot from behind, walking away from the
camera and the edit cutting to portray time)
7. Kelly walking through her door (medium long shot)

11. As she walks into the alleyway, the camera goes into POV and we see her legs
running and the leaves

her running to build drama (5 shots)
15. Penelope bent over out of breath and the man with the balaclava walking
into the scene (medium long shot)
16. Same shot but from a different perspective (panoramic) from behind
17. While he is speaking zoom in on his face (close up)
18. Close up of Penelope’s worried face
19. Emptying her bag and Penelope’s worried face and his face with black
screens in between to show her confusion and draw tension (8 quick shots)
20. Medium close up of Penelope during her dialogue
21. Over the shoulder shot of them during the man in the balaclava’s dialogue
22. As the man in the balaclava gets angry, the camera shots speed up, mix of
medium shots of his actions and extreme close ups of his face to draw
tension
23. Point of view shot of man striking Penelope in the head

25. Penelope falls to the floor in slow motion in a medium shot
26. Switching from close ups of man in the balaclava to action shots from his POV
to show that he is flustered
27. Shot from behind of him dragging her out of the alleyway and as he is walking

29. Montage of the quiet area around him to give an eerie effect, switching from
his face to the scenery
30. Medium shot of him placing her in the boot of his car
31. Drive through the Highstreet and filmwhile it is busy, POV shot of sitting in
the car and the traffic and people in shot
32. Snap shots of the man’s eyes in the wind screen mirror, medium close ups
33. Snap shots of Penelope waking up in the boot, pitch black but shine a torch
on her face
NEW LOCATION (news studio- castle field)
34. Medium shot of news reporters at the table
35. Shot remains during their dialogue, pans around after they finish speaking
36. When they hold up a photo of Penelope the shot will change to a close up
NEW LOCATION (family living room- castle field)
37. Crips shots to give a sinister effect and portray their grief, mainly medium
and medium long shots
38. The camera in place of where the television would be, so it looks like they are
looking into the camera
39. During dialogue, medium close up of the person speaking to focus on their
emotion
40. News reporter again medium shot but edit so that it looks as If they are on TV
from the family’s perspective

41. Happier tone, camera pans around room of whole family getting ready, slow
pace long and medium shots around the room
42. Camera following Penelope around the kitchen medium shot POV
43. When Penelope leaves, an over the shoulder shot of the mum waving
goodbye to her
44. When she leaves zoom in on the door to emphasize the fact that that was the
last time her mum saw her before she went missing
45. Focused close up on mothers face and transition to her sitting in the living
room to show that she was day dreaming (dolly zoom)
