Dear Parents,
Activities we will be doing in pre-school:
 Singing our rhyme of the week which is Mary Mary. This links in with
the planting we have been doing and the changes that we are seeing
taking place in the garden.
 In our group times we are looking at shapes, naming and matching
them. We are also beginning to look out for shapes which are all around
us.
Activities to do at home with your child:
 Look around your home to see how many different shapes you can find.
Squares and rectangles seem to be plentiful but can you find any
triangles?
 If you haven’t already done so, plant some flowers or vegetables in the
garden and encourage your child to look after them and talk about
how they are growing.
Notices:
Please remember to bring a named sun hat for your child and put
suncream on them before the session as we are unable to apply this
for you.
 A date for your diary; On Thursday 16th
July there will be a ‘stay
and play’ session, your children will also be performing some of their
favourite songs for you. A letter with exact arrangements and
timings will be sent home soon.
