Dear Parents, 26 June – 7 July
Activities we will be doing in Preschool
 Over the next two weeks we will be having fun moving in a range of
different ways and doing lots of physical challenges. The children will be
taking part in obstacle courses and we will be having a range of races for
them to enjoy.
 Play practise is going well and the children are enjoying going into church
to practise their songs, actions and words. This is a great time for them to
build their confidence up as they take part in a new activity and attempt a
new challenge.
Activities to do at home
 Each week we will be giving you a challenge for your child to help them
get ready for school in September. This week’s challenge is about getting
themselves dressed and undressed. This is an essential skill to learn for PE
sessions as well as helping them to adjust to different temperatures ie
taking their jumper off when they are hot. Can your child do this? Are
they trying really hard to do this? If so tell us about it on a star so we can
praise them too.
Notice
 Please put sun cream on your child before bringing them to Preschool and
please bring a named sunhat for them.
 Advance notice – the end of term play will be on the last day of term,
Friday 21 July at 10.45. Please bring you child to preschool at the normal
time of 9.00am. It will last for about 30 minutes afterwards we invite you
to stay for coffee and homemade cakes. You will be responsible for your
child as soon as the play ends. Please note that this is not appropriate for
any younger children.
