Dear Parents,
Welcome back to the new term. We came back to a lot of sickness
amongst both staff and children but we all seem to be on the mend now
and ready to get going again. We have also had some new children
starting with us so we have some new friends’ names to learn.
Activities we will be doing in pre-school:
Singing nursery rhymes and encouraging the children to fill in
some of the missing words to see how well they know them.
• Looking at and talking about objects which are red. Red will be
our colour of the week.
• Encouraging the children to try and put their own coats on
themselves, or at least being able to find their own peg and
recognise their own coats.
Activities to do at home with your child:
• Look out for things around the house that are red, spot some
red cars when you are out and about. Make a red picture to bring
into preschool for our display.
• Encourage your children’s independence skills and let them try to
put on their own hats or coats.
Notices:
• Please include a plastic carrier bag in your child’s changing bag
for any wet or soiled clothes. Plastic bags are not so easily come
by these days.
• Please bring a suitable coat for your child so that they are warm
during outdoor play.
