3. Cameras
All the four camera’s were major technologies that we used for our music video and our ancillary
work. The big camera played a big role because without it we wouldn’t have filmed our music
video. We only used it for that music video only because its heavy and that was all we needed it
for. This piece of technology developed my knowledge of how its used and how to hold it and
handle a camera and how to not lose your work.
The flip camera is an easy piece of technology I used a lot throughout all of my coursework.
Using a flip camera saved me from having to always carry a big camera or always having to
record on my phone. Its also like a usb where I can just plug it into any computer and upload my
video. This technology made things easier for me especially after everyone watched our music
video and getting pack some feedback from our audiences.
The other two still camera’s also have been effectively useful because without the still camera I
wouldn’t have had any evidence of what we were doing at certain times. It helped me express
meaning when explain things and again gave proof and evidence of the stages we were at, at
times. Lastly the photography camera we used is the technology we used to take the pictures
for our ancillary. In our group we had a photography student and that benefited me because she
taught me how to use the camera and how to hold it. As the camera woman I felt the
responsibility that the pictures they will be using depends on my photography. And I gained a lot.
4. Final cut pro
This piece of technology was very useful after we’d finished
filming our music video. Through Final cut pro we edited our
whole music video and it was very effect. It was very effective
to me in a way where it taught me to do things that I probably
wouldn’t have been able to figure out myself. All the special
effects that are available was very educating because I now
know how to use Final cut pro better than ever. Final cut pro
allowed me to develop more skills than last year because as
the camera woman it was pretty much my job to know which
clips were where and importing them was a major job that was
done within the group. Also cutting away bits that we didn’t
need, Final cut let’s us just edit it out easily.
5. Power point, Slide share
and Gif
These are other technologies I decided to use and to explore a wide range of technologies to
present my work. PowerPoint was fairly easy to use because I already use that for a lot of other
things. But I couldn’t get PowerPoint onto the blog but what in could do is screen grab them and
upload the pictures onto slide share. Which is another piece of technology I used. I started sing
slide share after our music video when I started my ancillary. I like using slide share because it
taught me a different way to present my work instead of using a lot of writing in black and white. I
could just have any layout and any font I wanted and then put it up onto slide share. I’m really
comfortable using slide share although I haven’t actually used it that much because I wanted to
use other technologies such as gif. Gif made uploading a lot of pictures easy for me. Instead of
just uploading a lot of pictures one after the other, when I was introduced to gif I felt all my
picture posting become simpler. I also used it when I was talking about my influences in my
ancillary work for my magazine covers. The use of these different ways of presenting my journey
on the blog
6. Prezi, Blogger and
Photoshop
Blogger was a great experience for me. I used blogger from the beginning of the
coursework until the very end. Blogger is now proof of my whole journey for the
coursework part. I enjoyed using blogger because it proves my hard work and my
developing skills throughout my journey. And I think that blogger is my most effective
piece of used technology for y coursework. Another piece of technology I liked but
didn’t use a lot of was prezi. Prezi is nice to use and it has a nice layout of your
choice. What prezi taught me is again a different way to present my work other than
using PowerPoint. Lastly I used Photoshop, which was what I used when I was
making my ancillary work. Using Photoshop really increased my skills with using
photos and experimenting with them, choosing what I look and what suits my product
best.
