The following immediate actions have to be taken by the committee: •Adequate quantities of food grains, (rice, wheat flour, dais), cooking fuels (kerosene, LPG cylinders) dry foods (biscuits, dry-bread or tosh, Procureand stock powder milk, beaten rice etc.) for distribution to victims. •All government vehicles be kept in working condition. Rescue Vehicles •The list of working generators available in the district may be given.Emergency Power •Departments should store essential drugs and vaccines for preventive Medical and use (to arrest the spread of diseases or epidemics).Veterinary •Have to stock the following materials: Large cooking vessels, hooks forCyclone clearing debris, tents for emergency camps, first aid kits etc. Stores 6
