The following immediate actions have to be taken by the

             •Adequate quantities of food grains, (rice, wheat flour, dais), cooking
              fuels (kerosene, LPG cylinders) dry foods (biscuits, dry-bread or tosh,

and stock     powder milk, beaten rice etc.) for distribution to victims.



             •All government vehicles be kept in working condition.

             •Departments should store essential drugs and vaccines for preventive
