1. Analysis of Film Festival post
cards
The purpose of these post cards are to promote the film, they can be
handed out at various locations. People usually pass these around and
tend to keep them after the event as a memory.
2. The main colors present are brown,
orange and grey. They give it a
western feel, all material on the post
are dark with the text being lighter.
With the text being
lighter it is more
highlighted, the reason
for this is because of
what is actually
written, they want
people to be aware of
what this short movie
was nominated for:
Information on here is mainly visual, the
biggest attraction on here is the image on
the right and it manages to tell a large story
about this film poster
The picture obviously isn’t real, it
is an illustration of two people
We are informed a lot about
movies accomplishments and
where it can be seen
I do not like this poster as much,
I don’t feel the information is
presented very well and also it is
not very attractive. One positive
is the genre is well
communicated
3. The colors present
here are much more
childish, they combine
with the animated
characters to help
understand the genre
There is very little text
on this poster, most of
the communication is
visual
They make sure that
their nominations are
very visible
I like this postcard, it is
very attractive in the
use of its colors and
also I am very aware
from looking at this
what he movie relates
towards and where I
can see it
The information is very
well organized in lines
and the color scheme
is very consistent
I believe this post card
was very cheap to
create since most of
the visuals are
animated
There is a lack of
information about the
movie itself and its
general purpose
There is a good mix of humor and scariness
in this postcard with the man in the middle
appearing to be the villain
4. Main colors present are
very dark, there is a slight
hint of light purple used
to highlight certain words
otherwise the whole
postcard are shades of
black, white and purple
No special symbols are
used making it simple for
the audience to read
What appears to be a
main charector is
displayed
photographically in the
center of the postcard
There is a lot of text
compared to other
postcards, it is a lot more
verbal
I like the this postcard,
it relates to a more
serious genre and this
is well displayed in the
postcard, very
informational and i like
the short description
Very conventional to
highlight the
nominations for this
specific film
Very large and
obvious title
Asking the audience
to interact with the
film campaign online
The target audience I
would say think was
older generation, it
does not look very
attractive for younger
ages
