Hamlet is an acknowledging Shakespearean play that was later filmed in 1990 by Franco Zeffirelli
and in 1996 by Kenneth Branagh. Both these directors interpret the play differently adding unique
twists and turns of their own to help focus on one thing than the other. In their contrasting films,
these two directors depict the character of Ophelia very differently. Through Zeffirelli's film,
Ophelia, played by Helena Bonham Carter is portrayed as a dreamy, naive, childish character,
however in Branagh 's version; Kate Winslet portrays Ophelia as a more mature, sensible and strong
willed character. These different portrayals of Ophelia can be further analyzed through
cinematography, set and costume designs and through the actor themselves. Firstly, the different
interpretation of Ophelia is shown through the cinematography of the two films. Cinematography
refers to the camera movement and angles. Zeffirelli chooses to make many of Ophelia's shots

Throughout the years there have been many versions of the classic tale, "Cinderella." From
European style all the way to Disney. However, they are all based on the same ancient story. Step
mother, step sisters, Cinderella marries the love of her life, you get the idea. Yet, each individual
story has its own unique touch to make it stand out just a little bit more than the previous story. The
two Cinderella stories that I'm going to be comparing are two Disney films. The first one I am going
to discuss was released in early spring of 1950, called "Cinderella". The second story is a remake

At the beginning of act two, Willy wakes up to a promising day for him and his sons. He is dressed
in a neat black suit and tie. However, Willy suffers several failures and disappointments throughout

This action is the first imperative step that leads to the undoing of several characters, primarily
Malvolio. It is essentially Malvolio's ultimate narcissism that allows the other characters to easily

Nunn's adaptation of Feste is not dissimilar to Malvolio with his interpretation of the 'professional
clown' proving persuasive because the fool presents wise insights into the complicated web of love
that many principal characters become entwined with. His ability to suggest that love is a game, that
lovers often love to love, and that love can be almost blind, are important themes to the attraction
and comedy of the film. However Nunn utilises Feste above the scope of the comedic, with his
poignant insights reminding the audience that this film is in fact dealing with serious issues and at
times, the deeper, disturbing, side of love. In Ben Kingsley's moving performance, Feste becomes an
outsider as a man who lives alone away from Olivia's house yet somehow witnesses all that occurs
amongst the characters and provides some telling insights. This is illustrated when he shows Olivia
why "take away the fool" could mean take away the lady," arguing not only to save his job but also
out of a deep compassion for Olivia's grief over her brother's death, and a desire to show why she

A Comparison Of The Tell Tale Heart And The Tell Tale Heart
To begin with, the Tell Tale Heart is very odd and suspenseful. It and the rewritten version are very
different, and though they are both very descriptive, only one can help a reader understand the plot
more. The original would be better because it tells you the narrator's thoughts about why he wants to
kill the old man, while the rewritten version, no matter what point of view, happens after the murder
and would not help the reader understand the thoughts of the narrator. Some ways the original Tell
Tale Heart and the rewritten version are similar are the mood and the plot. The mood of the stories
are both suspenseful and erie and build up tension throughout the story. According to (Poes) text it
states, "I arose and argued about trifles, in a high key and with violent gesticulations, but the noise
steadily increased." According to (Johnson's) text it states,"We talked a little longer, and then
suddenly he gripped his head, and doubled over. Something was wrong." This quotation also built
up suspense because the man across from the policemen fell over and made the policemen nervous
about whether or not the man was the murderer. Another thing that makes both versions is the plot.
The plot of both stories are in the old man's house in the 1800's. According to (Poes) text it states,
"And then, when my head was well in the room, I undid it just so much that a single thin ray fell
upon the vulture eye." The narrator was in the old man's bed room, waiting for the perfect time to
commit the murder. According to (Johnson's) text it states, "We went all around the large house, and
saw nothing suspicious or anything that could have caused a murder. The man pulled up three
wooden chairs, and let us sit and we chatted amongst ourselves, while he sat across from us." The
policemen sat in the exact place where the corpse was under the floorboards, and never noticed until
the man showed them. The stories also had a lot of things that were different from each other. Some
of those ways were the pacing of the stories and the character development throughout the stories.

Hamlet, a tragedy by William Shakespeare shows a lot of adaptations to movies. Hamlet by Mel
Gibson (1990) and Kenneth Branagh (1996) interpret and portray the play by Shakespeare in
different ways. The two film versions of Mel Gibson and Kenneth Branagh of Act IV of Hamlet
have many differences and similarities. Kenneth Branagh version of Hamlet is seen covering most
of the original text of Shakespeare's play of Hamlet unlike the Mel Gibson version which omits
many scenes and dialogues. The film version of Hamlet featuring Kenneth Branagh is a more
successful production of Shakespeare's play according to the setting and time period, cast and
editing.
The difference between the costumes, scenery and setting shows how modern the Kenneth Branagh
version of Hamlet is than the Mel Gibson version of Hamlet. One of the difference between the two

The actual fairy world was filled with light bulbs, and it was a mostly blue–black backdrop. The
only light seemed to be focused on the characters on stage. In the human world, Noble uses different
colours to show different colours in different rooms. For instance, he used blue to show springtime,
