To recycle word order in affirmative sentences, and the word order when
using adjectives to describe objects, animals and people.

ROUTINE
WARM- UP (10 minutes)
Teacher will start the class by writing on the board the date, the
weather like and this inspirational phrase.
“Be happy”
I will ask them to copy the phrases written on the board on their notebook.
Scaffolding strategies: I will hang on the whiteboard a picture of a
happy face
Transition Phrase: Ok, now pay attention to me please! Today we
have two visitors.
PRESENTATION (15 minutes)
3. Teacher will write on the whiteboard opposite adjectives and I will hang on some
pictures related to the vocabulary
I will introduce the two visitors.
This will be the dialogue,
Lion: Hello! My name is Sam! What´s your name?
Ant: Hi my friend! I am Tom!! Whatzzup!
Lion: You are very small, aren´t you?
Ant: yes, and you are very big!
Lion: Yes, I am big and old! You are old, aren´t you?
Ant: yes, I am! I am small and young!
After that I will explain to them the definition of
opposite adjectives. They are word that expresses a meaning contrary to the
meaning of another word, in which case the two words are opposite of each other.
Then I will give to them some examples and will show the puppets in order to
clarify the examples.

Scaffolding strategies: Teacher will use drawings and gestures to help to children
to understand the meaning of the different adjectives.
Transition Phase: Ok children! Nice work, now open your student´s book at page
48.
DEVELOPMENT (PRACTICE and PRODUCTION) (10 minutes)
4. Teacher will describe the activity to children and they will work in pairs. Once
finished, we will check the activity on the whiteboard. The other groups try to guess
the correct holiday destination.
Scaffolding strategies: The Teacher will monitor the activity and check if students
need help.
Teacher will encourage to children to understand the new words by using the
pictures on the whiteboard
Transition Phrase: Ok children! Excellent work!
CLOSURE (10 minutes)
To close up the class students are given a photocopy. Teacher will explain the
activity to them (annex1). They should describe the pictures by using the adjectives
they have learned along the class.
Finally, we will say the prayer, “Thank you Lord for the present day, Amen”
Then I will say “very good, let´s clean up. We have learnt a lot today,
we have had a great time. Come on! Put your English notebook away
inside your school bag.
Scaffolding strategies: Teacher will show to them the description of a picture as an
example.

the two characters you introduced. Work on that!
