3. What media institution might distribute your media product
and why?
• Future publishing would publish my magazine as
they have a large collection of guitar magazines and
they would know where to go with it and have a lot
of experience on what sells and what does not.#
• My magazine would hopefully fill any gaps that they
do not already cover.
4. Who would be the audience for
your media product?
• Reader profile for music magazine –

5. I used a bright colour
scheme to draw the reader
in, the photo on the front
cover is a natural pose and
she is smiling, this makes
the magazine appear to be
fun and casual. The colours
tie in together but do not
blend.

6. What have you learnt about technologies from the
process of constructing this product?
• I have benefited from the use of photo editing software and now feel I have a better understanding
of how to manipulate an image to suit a purpose.
• Using publisher 2007 has helped me work around the new setup and experiment with
backgrounds, fonts, picture editing etc.
7. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt
in the progression from it to the full product?
I have learnt how to tailor
a magazine to fit a target
audience and that the
conventions of
magazines do not
change much from genre
to genre. I feel I have
improved my
photography skills, and
know what kind of photo
to take for a magazine.
